We were blue balled hard......
It felt like Sakurai was fricking with us, what the frick does Sora even have to do with fire anyway...

As much as I wanted Sora and I think Dark Souls would be a terrible choice, I will admit, Sakurai didn't have to do you guys dirty like that.
How would they adapt invading mechanic?
>when playing in quickplay, sometimes you will join a random battle arena and cannot be kicked
>if you win against the host, the room closes
>dark souls stage
>summon signs appear on stage similar to Midgar’s materia but on floors
>there are white and red summons signs
>white will assist the player who interacts with it
>red will summon one that attacks anyone
>can be defeated like the Birdmen in Mother 3’s stage or like an assist trophy
obviously it wouldn't work in this game, but a final smash where the chosen undead calls in a bunch of phantoms all with different builds would be really cool
It would probably just be a simple AoE final smash like chaos firestorm or something.
It would be kind of boring but I can't imagine what else.
A backstab?
Red Spirit in pokeballs that targets whoever threw the ball
It was a clear bait and switch.

Yeah, what does Sora have to do with fire anyway?
I have never played Kingdom Hearts but I didn't understand anything from his trailer. Why the fire? Why did everyone turn into trophies? Has Sora always been able to fly?
>Has Sora always been able to fly?
That one thing he does have, you get the ability to glide in all his games but CoM, IIRC
The trailer makes a ton of sense in a Dark Souls context. It makes zero sense to use it for Kingdom Hearts.
>Why did everyone turn into trophies
This is a Smash thing, not Kingdom Hearts. Smash is a person playing with their toys.
>not having Sora saving them from turning Heartless while piggybacking World of Light's story
It hurts in different levels
I was 90% sure when the "bonfire" was made, it was our turn. Im fricking devastated. We got way too fricking wienery, and now we're paying the price.
Not only is the Chosen Undead not playable, he's also burning in agony for potentially centuries in his series.
Sora had nothing to do with it. Sakurai wanted to shit on Bamco one last time. I'm guessing they won't be developing the next smash game. I hope Nintendo just dev'd it themselves. But I doubt most of us wouldn't care for the next one. I assume the game will get more zoomy. There is no doubt that Fortnite will be in the smash, genshin impact, LoL, and more anime-esque shit. It's over for Smash's legitimacy, unless nintendo keeps it mostly first party, but i doubt it, money talks. Should have seen it coming when square's music (KH music) was being played at the olympics.
Dark Souls didn't invent fire
It's called the First Flame for a reason, you know.
it was just the way it was framed, besides Mario peering over it with his arm out like he was about to
>BONFIRE LIT
>he doesn't know
If you knew the lore you wouldn't say that...
we were shmeckledorfed
Literally gasped when the lil fire showed up...
> Perhaps you've seen it, maybe in a dream. A murky, forgotten land. A place where souls may mend your ailing mind. You will lose everything, once branded.
It was a fire raid, so it could make sense...
IF ONLY WAS PART OF HIS MOVESET INSTEAD OF GENERIC SWING N. 53683
>no Dark Souls of any kind in smash
>this shit happens
I'm going hollow already
What the frick was even up with that shit anyway
It's like they did half of the trailer for the chosen undead, then for the other half they were tasked to do a sora trailer
it was just a fricking call back to the original smash ultimate trailer guys, I doubt they were doing it intentionally, like dark souls didn't invent fire lol
they were just trying to be grandiose for the final character
That being said I did think it might be chosen undead or something for a minute, but I've been playing a shitload of dark souls this past month so I'm seeing it everywhere
No, but they did invent fire fading and everything turning into stone, which literally happened in the trailer.
>Brave souls, who fears not death. I shall guide you to the Nexus. So that you may lull the Old One back to slumber.
Anybody who thought that was a bonfire is certified Reddit. Anybody who mistook it for The First Flame is at least justified in their sadness.
Thank fricking god, smash is probably the only thing that could make the souls fanbase worse. I remember what smashgays did to persona, I want them far as frick away from anything I enjoy.
