Fractured had a better plot than Book of Truth.
Fractured had better gameplay because you occasionally have to strategise a little, with how you position characters in space, spend turns and how you arrange your team. The wrong partners in fights like Shub Niggurath and Kyle 2 make them impossible to beat.
Stick of Truth was way too easy because all you did was mindlessly spam healing potions every single turn before attacking (which you could do in the same turn, every turn). Also their Elements system didn’t matter at all in the game and Mana was useless since Power Potions were already way better and were everywhere so you never ever ran out.
Stick had a way better plot though with the ending at Clyde’s fortress. ‘Mitch Conner’ has to be the lamest final boss in all Ganker

Buddy Commands only did things that you can do anyway with items (healing, attack down, attack up), so the only reason you chose between them is based on how much damage they inflict.
That’s why once you unlock Kyle and Cartman noone ever uses Stan, Jimmy or Kenny again. Because they’re useless when Kyle and Cartman can inflict way more damage and use items to do the same stuff Stan/Jimmy/Kenny do too.
They did Stan and Kenny so bad in these games.

My little brother and his friends recognize south park and all of its characters, and talk about the show constantly. Cartoons like south park and family guy are timeless because they have tons of youtube clip bait. So even though tv viewership is dead, SP and FG remain eternal because both shows have copious amounts of random monkeycheese clips that the youtube algorithm always recommends to kids that exclusively watch youtube shorts. Also the humor in both shows is raunchy enough to appeal to kids, whereas the simpsons, even in its golden era, is way too wordy and mature for kids to understand, and uses too many references that not even most casual 30 somethings get half the time.
It's gotten better in the 3-4 years not as good as "the golden era" obviously but better than the mid 2000s-to early 2010s episodes.

The thing is that I was never really impressed with either SoT or FBW gameplay. Turn-based/grid-based RPGs don't really interest me. The stories are what made those games great. If this game has a decent story I'm willing to put up with slightly sub-par gameplay and just enjoy the ride.
