As some people have pointed out, it's not just that her head is big in an art style where characters already have big heads. They pushed her facial features down to the bottom half of her face. They went out of their way to make her forehead look even bigger.

There is no defined "meta" at the moment, asides from every team having a cooler and everyone else having offensive specials that can be used to push. But majority of the weapons being used are still top tier. You're not seeing literally ANY weapon being used, you're just seeing a little more diverse team comps, but shit weapons that are bottom tier still aren't being used. Every team that has had success has been using "top tier" weapons, it's just there's no set team beyond "one tacticooler and 3 offensive weapons"

See that's not how it works. You want to have your cake and eat it too. EVERY GAME, regardless of who they're catering to, has to think about game balance. If they do not balance their game right, the "broken" things will rise to the top no matter what. It is in everyone's best interests that the game be as balanced as possible, and in order to do so you have to think about how compgays will take advantage of certain powerful options and make the game miserable for everyone else. It benefits both comp players and casual players alike to have a well balanced "meta". The meta is there whether you want to acknowledge it or not, casual or comp. Splatoon is inherently a competitive game, it's a multiplayer team based shooter.

It's a top tier special and you're likely to see one on pretty much every team alongside a tacticooler. People are misunderstanding the point of that tweet, there is definitely a meta and the highest level of play generally just use the same weapons. It's just there's no set 4 weapons that make the perfect team and it depends on the level and mode in rotation. Trizooka is extremely common due to how powerful it is.
Even then it’s new rise in use due to its power is being noticed by the devs and will be no doubt nerfed into the ground in the coming updates. We’ve seen the start of that in the mid-season balance patch with its nerf in splash damage, and i’m sure its overall damage, firing speed, and activation time will get hit hard too over the next few updates much like how crab tank got gutted in literally every aspect (firing speed, movement speed, activation time, cooldown, etc.)
Once trizooka becomes shit people will be forced to move away from weapons with it and it’ll open up a much more diverse choice of weapons that can be viable

At the highest level of play you still see the same few weapons being used and you NEVER see certain kits being used, with only some mid-tier weapons getting situational usage and results every so often, but never consistently. The weapons that dominate are the few high tier weapons, so it's not exactly perfectly balanced is it?
All that twitter post is saying is that there isn't a set team comp like Splash + sloshing etc etc. They are instead complaining that while there is no set team comp, there is only one strategy in play which is a hyper aggressive tacticooler type of comp, which is what everybody plays.

Turf war is very inconsistent. It doesn't really reward you for good play for 2/3 of the match.
The most important thing is to not die in the final minute. Whoever dies there winds up giving the enemy a huge advantage as they get to turf over everything since your team is down a member or two.
You have to win your fights i.e. don't DIE but also kill them, which isnt easy. You also want to use a weapon that can turf AND fight well. Situational awareness helps. Don't try and fight a 1v4 when your team is all respawning and the enemy has control of mid. Hang back, build your special, throw sub weapons from a safe distance then try and reclaim mid as a team.
Don't be a moron and pick aerospray.
You need a weapon that can win fights (while also painting).

I don't know, but a backline is not what you think it is. It's also not used like a verb, you don't get "backlined". Your backline is just the position that the weapon with the longest range plays. Your E-Liter is your backline, because it fights behind the rest of his team.

yeah basically you get a little amiibo spoofer NFC device, then download the files on your computer and put it on the device then you can spoof whatever amiibo you want. The files already exist for the Deep Cut amiibo and were posted in a previous thread

If someone else is on a really bad connection it can make a game super laggy even if your internet is perfect.
I've had it happen before where I die long after someone's dead, but it's rare that I don't kill them too

If you're consistently missing shots game after game with different people that's a (you) problem.
But that's not what he was talking about. He specifically said he had a laggy hammer circling around that was unable to be killed. That's a totally feasible situation even if you have perfect internet. Also sometimes killing hammers can be a bit inconsistent with the way things work. Sometimes you kill them immediately, sometimes no shots get through. If the hammer was particularly laggy I could see that being a b***h and a half to kill. Point is let's not pretend like laggy bullshit kills don't happen in this game. During splatfests I see way more timmies that come out with dogshit internet connections causing all sorts of weird bullshit to happen mid match with people teleporting and firing but you're not seeing the ink come out of their guns. Just got done playing a match like that and while it's not common for me, I find it's a lot more common during splatfests when the mcdonalds wifi players come out.

WHAT THE FRICK IS WRONG WITH THIS GAME. I can SEE AND HEAR my bullets hitting the opponents with ultra stamps but THEY DON'T FRICKING DIE. I literally had one guy lagging like crazy just circling around with the hammer and the game refused to let me kill him. Meanwhile all it takes is one slap and I die. But they're fricking allowed to slide all over the damn map despite me landing 6 hits on them.
I've noticed way more laggy timmies on mcdonald's wifi. The fest tends to bring out those kinds of connections.
When I made that image, I totally forgot that Splatoon uses P2P. I could have used some of that sub back then too, being on poor WiFi. I have since upgraded to a wired connection!

Undertow depends entirely if a E-Liter or Hydra show up, but I can say that for almost all Maps, really.

Yea, you can hit 3 stars with a good several hours of dedicated play, and 4 stars within a week with a decent amount of grinding, but 5 stars takes several months or you need to no-life a particular weapon. Took me like 6 months to 5-star my 4k though someone how i’m already halfway to 5-stars with the dread wringer

It's depends on the team you choose, I had a lot of fun in Halloween because I picked up Ghost, but hug was shit to be in since I had a lot of idlers and bad snipers
I picked ghost too. Skeleton absolutely mogged us and could never get in on a room. Least I got one room going, but had to stop right when we turned things around.
