Early on it seems like Liam's going to be a bland happy-go-lucky dude everyone is friends with, but after a few hours you can't have him in the car without your other companion telling him to frick off and leave them alone. Ashley is sublime in the first game. Her character has real depth and she feels like the most human person in the game. Give her a chance next play through.
