give it to me straight Gankerreh’s, is Startfield going to be so good that its a system seller and it’d would be worth buying a Series S/X just to play this one game?

System sellers don't exist anymore because 60% of games are now mobile.
I refuse to believe this notion, for all intense and purposes Todd has handcrafted a literal universe to game in, this could potentially last thousands of hours and not get stale. that very much describes a ‘sytem seller’
>people already forgot BG3
It's over.
bg3 player count still peaked over 800k on the weekend
honestly cannot see starfield going anywhere near that
maybe not on Steam because it's on game pass
sounds like a good idea since no real point of getting it on steam as modding will be shit for the first year
modding wont exist at all for that piece of shit, just like the last 3 AAA slop games shills said would have mods
nah I think modders can make the planet tech better
for example I can almost guarantee the plants/animals won't be diverse enough in vanilla
and you will start seeing repeating assets across different worlds
I'm talking about BG3
people actually have to care about a game for it to get mods that aren't textures/value tweaks
>bg3
the devs said they will support mods for that game but not at launch
whatever that means
>using the dogshit PC xbox gamepass app
would rather pirate it tbqh
I use Gamepass to test games out that I'm kind of on the fence about. I pay $10 for the month, try the game and if I like it I'll buy it. For Starfield, I know I'm going to want to have this game, so there's no point in using Gamepass for this. I'm just going to get it on Steam.
Gamepass is insane value though, and gaining access to Starfield for free is crazy
well duh. most will be playing on gamepass and xbox instead of steam
I will screencap this post to make fun of you in a week's time.
the series s is like 150 bucks now, you might as well get one for this if you don't have another way to play it
the game isn't even out yet, so nobody can know. try it out on phone with gamepass cloud when it releases, if you like it much then i guess buy it
>Bethesda game
>Console
what the frick is wrong with you?
nothing? Bethesda have been developing primarily for console since Oblivion, arguably Morrowind, the only thing ‘PC’ about them is they are highly moddable and thats it
yeah and mods are only reason to play bethesda games
Even consoles get mods now. Only reason I won't play Starfield on console is the 30 fps cap
>the only thing ‘PC’ about them is they are highly moddable and thats it
>"and thats it"
That's the number one reason to buy a Bethesda game.
You'll get bored of the base game after two or three playthroughs. With mods it'll still feel new after like a decade.
2nd hand series s are insanely cheap if you just want something cheap to play the game. You can get them for 100 bucks or possibly less.
No. It runs at an unstable 30fps on Xbox. Buy a PC instead.
>It runs at an unstable 30fps on Xbox
are you clairvoyant or a leaker? nobody knows that for sure apart from 30fps, it’ll most likely be locked and stable as Phil is heavily invested in this game’s success
The gameplay in the Starfield Direct trailer dipped to 20fps constantly. The game runs like shit.
the Direct build was at least a year old, non issue
yes it's worth it
Who gives a frick? Stop getting hyped up for games in this shit era. Wait for them to be released and then watch youtube reviews before deciding if you should buy them. They wont disappear if you don't pre order them.
no thanks, Todd drops vidya-kino rarely so I’m well within my God given right to be hyped for this
That's your pathology dude. If it's good, I'll enjoy it just as much; if it isn't, only you will be disappointed. I have other things to do.
>system seller
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....no.
I've seen countles Redditors and twittergays saying they bought a Series X console because of Todd and Starfield thoughever.
You have to be very dumb to invest $500 into a console when the game isn't even out yet instead of waiting for the reviews. The way Starfield is being milked means that if you don't pay $100, you can't even play it day 1 so you should 100% wait to see player reception on top of reviews. All that means is that some redditors have more money than common sense, complete morons falling for hype and marketing. Don't be a redditor, be a smart and informed consumer that doesn't fall for basic psychological tricks, don't fall for paid shills on Ganker trying to trick you into making uninformed impulse purchases.
xbox hasn't been worth buying since the original, spend your money on a pc instead
Its on PC so no. Anyone smart would buy a PC instead to play Switch and Playstation games as well.
>buy a $250 console to enjoy one game
>upgrade for thousands of dollars instead
NO
>renting 1 game, at 30 fps, for $250
>feel compelled to keep subscribing to game pass every now and then to make your purchase worth it
>spend much more than $250 over time
>have to sub to use your internet
vs
>paying $700-$800(amd cards exist) to play it at 60 fps, for free, forever, along with every switch game and sony exclusives
This is why poorgays stay poor. Did you learn nothing from the 360 era where people bought the 360 because it was much cheaper than the PS3 but the PS3gays ended up paying less over time with their free online?
It's a Samsung TV seller yes
if you're going to spend that much for it, you should really just wait for early access to start so you can read testament from people who are actually playing it
If you want another bonus, the xbox series consoles are probably the best way to enjoy the original red dead redemption game even after the rerelease on switch and ps4. The backwards compatibility program has a pretty decent selection of titles like that.
I will never buy a console that I have to log into to play games on.
Everyone interested in games has a PC these days. You'd have to make COD, FIFA or Madden an exclusive to make a system seller for the people casual enough to only use consoles.
