You can make do without Ruan Mei but if you want Acheron levels of damage you need Ruan Mei with her. E2 is also good on Firefly, but not necessary. E2 means everytime you break, you stay your damage mode longer, but honestly you get enough energy normally you're ult is back up as soon as it comes off cool down

Gallagher was the one who send the Astral Express crew and others the invitations to go to Penacony in the first place, on top of setting everything up around the mystery of the "Watchmaker's Legacy" in accordance with Mikhail's instructions, which practically every other character was after when coming to Penacony and he was also in control of Death (Dormancy), all to get the right people in the right places and cause the Order worshipers to tip their hand in the attempt to cover up said "deaths". Also he was keeping the Bloodhound family off your back the entire time and he was always watching and guiding you or do you think it's coincidence his little statues where always there when you woke up somewhere? And Misha was the final piece to the puzzle of the Watchmaker's Legacy, who was supposed to the stay in the dream bubble and reveal Mikhail's life and impart his legacy onto the next generation of Nameless, but wandered off until you brought him back there. Guys, I have to admit somthing. I've only just realized that in gold and gears there are different effects for each dice. For the entire time I thought they are just slots so you could save your setups. I've been playing on the first default dice for the entire time.
I think it would've been nice to have the big sweeping cutscene that shows everyone actually reflect whether you finished the theme park movie or not, because it's still damaged even if you finished the movie. I get that it's a nitpick for a CG cutscene but they already have to account for whether you're using male or female MC so surely a model swap wouldn't kill them

It's only logical to conclude occasional waifus will be given similar spotlight events before they're out of rotation, March probably being the only consistent one due to her multiple Gacha forms

Acheron's bit was the best part because she and Aventurine (who just kinda gets offscreened after his boss fight) are the only ones they bothered to develop in Penacony. FF has potential but the way the write her is like they don't even really care.
They also get really heavy handed with the "MARCH IS RELATED TO FULI DON'T YOU GET IT SHE'S RELATED TO THE GARDEN YOU KNOW" foreshadowing this patch like they don't have the confidence that people would play her Xianzhou quest.
i dropped the game right as peniscolony came out and its been a nighmare trying to spreedrun through all the clickslop to unlock new caverns and shit or trying to get e6 harmony tb. they really need a skip button in this game.

Being not open world is not that much problem for me for a TBS game, but I agreed with the lack of unique characters.
Game is about space scifi but most characters barely looks unique at all, was expecting seeing a hint of many cool looking space species in notchina space port, all we got just a tolkien clone character at the end of of current patch.
Most of unique NPC in current region are just VR avatar of normal looking humanoid people in real world.
This game like its predecessor are for homos and yuritroons. You may not believe me now but just wait until you get nothing but twinks and ai-generated titcows, and your favorite character who happens to be a e-girl is aged up for no reason just to spite you. I didn't realize it until an anon pointed it out, but there wasn't a single fight in the Trailblaze Mission for 2.3. Not fricking one.

Gameplay wise: really like the new "SU" and the new multiplayer mode for the event is fun, I hope they get positive feedback for it and add some co-op for the base game, but considering they never improved Genshin's co-op I doubt it.

She's only a must pull if you already have Ruan Mei or can afford to pull for her as well.
You can make do without Ruan Mei but if you want Acheron levels of damage you need Ruan Mei with her. E2 is also good on Firefly, but not necessary. E2 means everytime you break, you stay your damage mode longer, but honestly you get enough energy normally you're ult is back up as soon as it comes off cool down
dps units are never must pulls since they will always get powercrept. besides, shes e2s1 bait like acheron.
Only if you are willing to invest heavily. Fire implant pretty much means that weakness means nothing to her since she can just implant weakness.

What is happening in this game
Firefly flying away with the bomb that exploded was her third death. It was just a prank bro, Silverwolf paid Sparkle to frick around Penacony and ensure that all three of Firefly's deaths would be harmless. Sleepy just took her to the reef etc. because Silverwolf looks out for Firefly and somehow her and Sparkle are gaming buddies

One could argue they are still 'characters' within the story, and most people just think of it in terms of playable characters anyway. No one really gives a frick if an NPC dies unless it's someone with a unique design who is used for the sake of being potentially playable.
The point is that it's lazy writing that removes any stakes the story might had. Why would anyone believe actual characters would be in any danger? Just add in a clone/simulation/AU/dream/whatever and kill them off instead.

The Nameless gave these PLAYABLE characters who had important parts in the story a goodbye at their gravesites and you don't count them on the technically that they were born within the dream world the entire story arc was about and set in? Misha's entire importance is showing how everything is a dream from the start, which is a stupid twist since that means everything that the characters have been doing from the start shouldn't have happen at all (including the sidequest from 4.0) and Gallagher was sending Sunday to the Dreamreefs but that also didn't matter since everything was a part of Sunday's plan even before 4.0 had started.
Gallagher was the one who send the Astral Express crew and others the invitations to go to Penacony in the first place, on top of setting everything up around the mystery of the "Watchmaker's Legacy" in accordance with Mikhail's instructions, which practically every other character was after when coming to Penacony and he was also in control of Death (Dormancy), all to get the right people in the right places and cause the Order worshipers to tip their hand in the attempt to cover up said "deaths". Also he was keeping the Bloodhound family off your back the entire time and he was always watching and guiding you or do you think it's coincidence his little statues where always there when you woke up somewhere? And Misha was the final piece to the puzzle of the Watchmaker's Legacy, who was supposed to the stay in the dream bubble and reveal Mikhail's life and impart his legacy onto the next generation of Nameless, but wandered off until you brought him back there. Did you just electively forget like 80% of the story to only attribute the two final things they did in 2.2 to their importance in it? It seems a awful lot like you didn't actually play the game and just watched the popular bits on youtube.

I think it would've been nice to have the big sweeping cutscene that shows everyone actually reflect whether you finished the theme park movie or not, because it's still damaged even if you finished the movie. Because genshin has exploration focus while HSR must rely on express relationships to make characters likable. You might have not noticed it yet, but dialogue sounds more personal in HSR to build rapport directly since characters are also pumped out twice as fast, which means MHY is forced to be bolder with the pandering like they did for FF. It's only logical to conclude occasional waifus will be given similar spotlight events before they're out of rotation, March probably being the only consistent one due to her multiple Gacha forms

Far as we've seen the next girl Yunli is already being shipped with Yanqing, and given that Acheron thought you and Firefly are a couple she's probably considered out as well. Sparkle also probably ships you judging by how she knocked you off the ship for no reason but so Firefly could save you. Penacony was a disappointment it started off strong but fell off hard.

Acheron's bit was the best part because she and Aventurine (who just kinda gets offscreened after his boss fight) are the only ones they bothered to develop in Penacony. FF has potential but the way the write her is like they don't even really care.
They also get really heavy handed with the "MARCH IS RELATED TO FULI DON'T YOU GET IT SHE'S RELATED TO THE GARDEN YOU KNOW" foreshadowing this patch like they don't have the confidence that people would play her Xianzhou quest.

There are four, technically 5 female models since Stelle’s model is unique.
Being not open world is not that much problem for me for a TBS game, but I agreed with the lack of unique characters.
Game is about space scifi but most characters barely looks unique at all, was expecting seeing a hint of many cool looking space species in notchina space port, all we got just a tolkien clone character at the end of of current patch.
Most of unique NPC in current region are just VR avatar of normal looking humanoid people in real world.
