Yes, but the game gives you quite a bit of cash to get probably 2 5 stars before the grind starts. Plus it's not a hard game at all, the MC is really strong on her own.

The companion missions for characters automatically open up when you reach a certain trailblaze level. You don't miss out on them even if you start late

In a game that's turn based he gives you more turns by denying the enemy theirs. Hes Imaginary so hes great against enemies weak to it. His skill hits up to three enemies, or one three times. He has a high chance of slowing them with each hit. His ultimate straight up locks the enemy down for a turn, and it hits everyone. You get him an energy rope and he regens so fast you can practically spam his ultimate and keep them stunlocked. Slap some crit/crit dmg on him and he hits like a truck

I was pretty cold on Clara after using a bunch of shitty ones as support. But I got spooked by her on Luocha banner, built her up and she's utter wrecking everything. Her ult uptime is really high and the aoe follow up from it hits like a fricking freight train.

I can't say much other than she's a typical DPS because i don't have her. I did try her out in trial run and she's decent. People keep saying she need March in her party to put an aggro on her because she need to hit a lot but i'm not sure if that's a mandatory strat.

You don't need March. She gets hit plenty in slot 1 and if her ult is up she'll follow up regardless of who gets hit for two hits. The fact she gets energy every time she follows up means the ult is up a lot.

Sort of. There is no slot that is more likely to get hit by default. The path of some characters makes them more likely to get hit. The tanks are targeted more, or they can force enemies to target them. Some enemies have "Blast" type attacks that hit the character they're targeting and the characters adjacent to them. So if you have a tank in slot 2, and they get hit with a blast, slot 1 and 3 will get hit also. You can take advantage of this and "save" one of your characters from taking damage by putting a tank in 1 or 4. If they get attacked by a blast only 2 or 3 with get hit in addition to the tank.
Basically you put your tank on one of the wings of the party and not in the two center slots.

She's not bad, she's just decent, same as Jing Yuan. However, Destruction is still the second worst character type. You can still progress thru MoC with Nat and Bailu and they're very good for a F2P player. But not Arlan and Phys MC. No. They're dogshit. They're not good for a F2P player. Hell, even Herta find her use in XP book farming despite how shitty she is.

I would go into detail but I don't think you really need or want a high effort post. If you whale you're an idiot. If you have fun ftping and ignoring gacha characters, and just use the free shit the game gives you, you're playing the game correctly. It doesn't need to be complicated.
The game is serviceable, but the game relies pumping out on events and minigames because the story is gonna take ages to finish, like Genshin Impact.
There's an endgame with a focus on getting your party stacked on stats, perks, and party composition so that grind is sorta the main meat locker until the next world is introduced. Game reminds me how I played Runescape when I was age single digits, raping Al Karid guards because I like watching pointy sword go into body and number goes red. It's fun for me because I seem to be simple minded. It's very fun for me in that regard.

They wouldn't make the on screen death of her fake so blatant if they didn't plan to bring the real her back into the fold. They can easily milk it. Have her show back up again. Have the crew wary of her, not knowing if its the real her or another clone. Her saying she found out about Phantylia and trying to warn everyone before she mysteriously disappeared. You could get a whole main story patch quest out of that

Man, it's a rough time not rolling on dudes, hags, or hags-light. I really hope Fu Xuan ends up good, even though I feel like she won't work particularly well with the only other character I've been able to roll on (Silver Wolf) either way.

Bronya is super good at buffs and Gepard is super good at making everyone not die, especially on lower level stuff, it's basically up to you if you want more damage or survivability.
Gepard. Hes March 7th but better. He shields the whole team to absurd levels. He practically can't die. And if he does he just gets back up. He freezes enemies, giving you more turns. Hes just all around great

I'm still surprised at her, not only did they make her a really cool character, she's also completely for (You) too. Not something i was expecting from this company but still, really pleasant surprise, even Blade which was the main guy people were shipping her with, completely sinks the ship by outright saying that we're the ones that stayed by Kafka's side the longest and that the trailblazer is the one she cares the most about.
It's more startling that she's really not the kind of character you'd typically get as a potential for (You) character. As far as waifus March is the very obvious one so having another option that isn't so traditional. That said I'm fully expecting them to kill Kafka off eventually.
Does March even have (You)stuff? i don't remember her ever liking us more than just a friend. Nothing on the level of Kafka's quest dialogue where she literally beams with happiness if you say you like her and gets depressed if you say you don't.
Probably a bit but I'm not sure. Basing this more on her being the sort of 'main' girl and again she's a very typical sort, like the kind you'd immediately expect to be the love interest in any JRPG.
We'll see, i don't consider her as a love interest for the MC at all right now, especially considering her history with Dan heng, she simply doesn't have enough material to suggest she likes anyone romantically in the game.
Enjoy being slow. Fuel is there to be used and make things a little faster. Unless there is some special character you are waiting on to power level them immediately, I just use it.

The recent trailer shows that they've wreaked untold havoc on multiple planets and even instigated war. They've killed a TON of people. An entire planet's population was turned into mindless robots because of Kafka's actions. They have entire solar systems' worth of blood on their hands.
The Stellaron Hunters follow Elio’s script in return for his help in getting them what they want. Kafka wants to be able to feel fear. According to Elio that is tied to her relationship with us.
Also Elio’s goal is setting up a gigantic galaxy spanning set of dominos going off in the right order and right direction that leads to the Trailblazer defeating Nanook. Otherwise Nanook wins and wipes out all existence apparently.

That one was the Jepella Brotherhood's doing, and they were using the trial to pin it on the Stellaron Hunters. The only the hunters did was take advantage of the chaos to grab the stellaron on that world. How do people not understand that part?

The IPC want to aid Qlipoth in building the wall, so they make as much money possible so they can buy all the construction materials they need. They then stockpile them for Qlipoth to use. If you have that one light cone for the fire TB that puts a dot people who hit her could even help.
She doesn't need to be paired with anyone. She'll work off her own dots. More dot characters just increase her value on the team. You could use Asta if you have her, or Serval. I thought they gave Serval to everyone for free for pre-registering. Even Natasha causes bleed dots when she breaks enemies. Same with physical MC
My Kafka team at the moment is Asta e5, Sampo e3, Natasha e6 and Kafka e0. Sampo for more dots and dot damage increase, Asta for spd buff and atk buff, and Natasha to keep the idiots alive.
Serval can work, but she's significantly weaker than Sampo and Luka. Sampo does better with AoE and wind weakness enemies, Luka does better at single target and physical weakness.
Only rolling for characters I personally like is causing me a few issues though. Seele was kind of annoying so I didn't roll for her. Silver Wolf's cute so I got her. Lion Shogun's boring so I passed on him. Blade's annoying so I didn't roll for him. Luocha seemed nice so I rolled for him. Kafka's hot so I got her. I don't need two Dans so I won't roll for Dragon Dan. I'll roll for the pink priestess midget.
Trade-off is this does result in a rather hodgepodge roster for me, and I passed up on some extremely strong characters just because I didn't care for them.

Post-Op with the personal energy regen is best even if the heal-on-ult part of the cone is wasted, as it helps him further spam his ult to set up the healing field and strip buffs
I don't know if they've established in the lore that people can get powers from random Aeons, similar to how Genshin characters can get visions from archons from outside their nation. If not then it might be entirely a gameplay contrivance.

Yes. The train has a parlor car you regularly go back to. The main crew all chill out there. Several of them have rooms in other cars you can go into. Why not? It all takes forever anyway. Something I learned from Genshin is that the grind never ends. It genuinely doesn't make much of a difference. Sure the amount of money and EXP you get from the nodes is paltry, but the total amount of grinding you're gonna be doing isn't going to get any lower. Grinding is all you'll ever be doing in this game. It doesn't matter.
Then use your fuel on the plant that gives credits. That and accept/make friend requests and put your best character up for your friends to use. Every time they use them as a support character you get PAID
My guess is that if it's the male, he shacks up with Welt and if it's the female she shacks up with Himeko. They'll probably give us our own room to customize as we please sooner or later.

In a game that's turn based he gives you more turns by denying the enemy theirs. Hes Imaginary so hes great against enemies weak to it. His skill hits up to three enemies, or one three times. He has a high chance of slowing them with each hit. His ultimate straight up locks the enemy down for a turn, and it hits everyone. You get him an energy rope and he regens so fast you can practically spam his ultimate and keep them stunlocked. Slap some crit/crit dmg on him and he hits like a truck

I was pretty cold on Clara after using a bunch of shitty ones as support. But I got spooked by her on Luocha banner, built her up and she's utter wrecking everything. Her ult uptime is really high and the aoe follow up from it hits like a fricking freight train.
I recently got Bronya and it opened my eyes to how shit all the support Bronyas have been built.
Even then, I feel Bronya could've done with a follow up attack after the person she buffs goes, just to give her some break potential.

Clara is just your typical DPS character. Just put a lot of Crit Rate and Crit DMG on her and there you go.

I can't say much other than she's a typical DPS because i don't have her. I did try her out in trial run and she's decent. People keep saying she need March in her party to put an aggro on her because she need to hit a lot but i'm not sure if that's a mandatory strat.
You don't need March. She gets hit plenty in slot 1 and if her ult is up she'll follow up regardless of who gets hit for two hits. The fact she gets energy every time she follows up means the ult is up a lot.

Sort of. There is no slot that is more likely to get hit by default. The path of some characters makes them more likely to get hit. The tanks are targeted more, or they can force enemies to target them. Some enemies have "Blast" type attacks that hit the character they're targeting and the characters adjacent to them. So if you have a tank in slot 2, and they get hit with a blast, slot 1 and 3 will get hit also. You can take advantage of this and "save" one of your characters from taking damage by putting a tank in 1 or 4. If they get attacked by a blast only 2 or 3 with get hit in addition to the tank.
Basically you put your tank on one of the wings of the party and not in the two center slots.

You can still progress thru MoC with Nat and Bailu and they're very good for a F2P player. But not Arlan and Phys MC. No. They're dogshit. They're not good for a F2P player. Hell, even Herta find her use in XP book farming despite how shitty she is.
Herta is crap but that event that made you use her and Himeko to follow up chain like 50 enemies in a row was pretty funny.

Gepard seems whatever since the MC can fill his role.
Bronya is super good at buffs and Gepard is super good at making everyone not die, especially on lower level stuff, it's basically up to you if you want more damage or survivability.
Turn skip is meta and really helps some of the worse 5* characters out like Jing Yuan.

I'm still surprised at her, not only did they make her a really cool character, she's also completely for (You) too. Not something i was expecting from this company but still, really pleasant surprise, even Blade which was the main guy people were shipping her with, completely sinks the ship by outright saying that we're the ones that stayed by Kafka's side the longest and that the trailblazer is the one she cares the most about.
It's more startling that she's really not the kind of character you'd typically get as a potential for (You) character. As far as waifus March is the very obvious one so having another option that isn't so traditional. That said I'm fully expecting them to kill Kafka off eventually.
Does March even have (You)stuff? i don't remember her ever liking us more than just a friend. Nothing on the level of Kafka's quest dialogue where she literally beams with happiness if you say you like her and gets depressed if you say you don't.
Probably a bit but I'm not sure. Basing this more on her being the sort of 'main' girl and again she's a very typical sort, like the kind you'd immediately expect to be the love interest in any JRPG.
We'll see, i don't consider her as a love interest for the MC at all right now, especially considering her history with Dan heng, she simply doesn't have enough material to suggest she likes anyone romantically in the game.

Enjoy being slow. Fuel is there to be used and make things a little faster. Unless there is some special character you are waiting on to power level them immediately, I just use it.
the faster you increase your equilibrium level, the faster you can farm better mats and so on
It's worth it for the higher rewards alone, even if you're having trouble getting up to 70 you'll survive with half decent relic sets.

The Stellaron Hunters follow Elio’s script in return for his help in getting them what they want. Kafka wants to be able to feel fear. According to Elio that is tied to her relationship with us.
Also Elio’s goal is setting up a gigantic galaxy spanning set of dominos going off in the right order and right direction that leads to the Trailblazer defeating Nanook. Otherwise Nanook wins and wipes out all existence apparently.

Fire TB themselves is tanky but they don't really pass out great shields like Gepard or March do, it's just kind of a side benefit.
Maybe it's just because I never built M7th but I love my TB and my TB shields. She really can't die.

Qlipoth is building a wall. A wall to keep some bad shit out. The IPC want to aid Qlipoth in building the wall, so they make as much money possible so they can buy all the construction materials they need. They then stockpile them for Qlipoth to use. Qlipoth doesn't use them, it just keeps building. Its like a kid bringing his dad a little stick to use while the dad is building a house out of lumber
How many of the standard 5-stars do you guys have so far? I have Himiko (x2), Welt, the dragon e-girl and the blonde shield guy. Hoping for Clara. If I get her before I hit 300 on the standard banner, then I'll nab Bronya.
Only Clara, and I end up using Trailblazer more in story for IMMERSION. Heard Himeko is bad outside of farming but I want her she's hot.
She's not great but building up characters is insanely time-consuming and she's like the only 5-star I have built up so I have no choice but to rely on her. I'm slowly making progress but this shit just takes forever. It takes over a week of grinding to make a character functional, it's honestly pretty bad.

Bronya, Yanqing, and Bailu. Bronya is very good in general, and Yanging helps carry me in SU world 7. Freeze is very good against the world 7 boss.
E1 Bronya, Gepard and Welt. Overall pretty good though I will likely be a crossroads between rolling for Himeko because my dick wants her even though she's supposedly the worst character in the game, Bailu who is extremely useful but aesthetically does nothing for me or Clara who is somewhat similar but comes with Svarog who is cool as shit.
I haven't been playing that long so I have Bronya and Himeko
I want all of them except for the twink, but mostly Welt and Clara
What do you think is the trailblazers next ability? Abundence? I wouldn't really mind a healer so I can pair her with Kafka.
What I want is abundance for another free healer but they seem super stingy with those right now so it might just be another damage dealer in hunt or nihility or whatever or harmony for buffs.

She doesn't need to be paired with anyone. She'll work off her own dots. More dot characters just increase her value on the team. You could use Asta if you have her, or Serval. I thought they gave Serval to everyone for free for pre-registering. Even Natasha causes bleed dots when she breaks enemies. Same with physical MC
My Kafka team at the moment is Asta e5, Sampo e3, Natasha e6 and Kafka e0. Sampo for more dots and dot damage increase, Asta for spd buff and atk buff, and Natasha to keep the idiots alive.

Sampo is most fun, then it goes Luka then Serval.
kafka can work by herself, and if you want to use only one support serval is more than enough
Serval can work, but she's significantly weaker than Sampo and Luka. Sampo does better with AoE and wind weakness enemies, Luka does better at single target and physical weakness.
I think Luka and Sampo are both good. Serval also does work, but the issue is that she brings redundancy because she and Kafka are both Lighting.

The free battle pass gives you free pulls. The weekly simulated universe gives you free pulls. Events sometimes give you free pulls

Only rolling for characters I personally like is causing me a few issues though. Seele was kind of annoying so I didn't roll for her. Silver Wolf's cute so I got her. Lion Shogun's boring so I passed on him. Blade's annoying so I didn't roll for him. Luocha seemed nice so I rolled for him. Kafka's hot so I got her. I don't need two Dans so I won't roll for Dragon Dan. I'll roll for the pink priestess midget.
Trade-off is this does result in a rather hodgepodge roster for me, and I passed up on some extremely strong characters just because I didn't care for them.
You got Luocha and that was the most important one.

For me it's just settling for the characters and not the light cones. My luck is so shit by the time I get the character I want I never have enough to even pull for the light cone so my team is half as good as it should be.
After you get another 5* dps you'll have what you need to be comfy. Jingliu or Topaz could do it
Bit iffy on Jingliu. From what I saw of her, she's just as obnoxious as Blade. I don't mind chuuni characters, but I'm not as big on edgelords. Topaz looks cute, but I'll have to see what she's like first. She looks like she might be the same species of moron as March so I'm a bit scared.
The 4 stars you come across are basically budget 5 stars you think you want.

Post-Op with the personal energy regen is best even if the heal-on-ult part of the cone is wasted, as it helps him further spam his ult to set up the healing field and strip buffs

Yes. The train has a parlor car you regularly go back to. The main crew all chill out there. Several of them have rooms in other cars you can go into. When you meet other characters in the story and do their companion missions they will show up in the parlor car and you can interact with them. You even get some of the premium currency sometimes from talking to them when they show up

No, its technically not your train. You're just a member of the crew. If you want a space faring game where you customize your own comfy ship interior then Warframe is more your bag. But this game is fun too so why not try both

Why not? It all takes forever anyway. Something I learned from Genshin is that the grind never ends. It genuinely doesn't make much of a difference. Sure the amount of money and EXP you get from the nodes is paltry, but the total amount of grinding you're gonna be doing isn't going to get any lower. Grinding is all you'll ever be doing in this game. It doesn't matter.
Then use your fuel on the plant that gives credits. That and accept/make friend requests and put your best character up for your friends to use. Every time they use them as a support character you get PAID
