Todd tried to erase this from the internet. I knew last year it would flop.
I remember I was playing Fallout 4 one day after my birthday (I got it on my birthday but wasn't able to play it on that day because of high school and it being a Thursday) and while I was screwing around ISIS blew up Paris. Weirdest day of my life
The silent majority of cultured people with refined tastes don't make stupid threads talking about nothing 24/7. The game being sci-fi brings a more mature audience.
Enjoy the calm before the utter madness that will be this board in two weeks though, because contrarians and schizos will stir shit constantly.
>holy shit starfield gameplay leak
Starfield isn't a crafting/survival game. People here really should be better at recognizing game genres
>Bethesda is always this silent with their games
anon nani the frick? I still hear Country Roads every time I see a FO76 post, that shit was etched into my brain
Baldur’s Gay: >150 GB of bloat, only trannies can afford this on their porn drive >funded by black rock >unfinished for years to come >nobody is straight
Starflop: >Fallout 4 with 76’s emptiness >20 FPS built for switch port after release >companions are hags >NASAfi, whatever the frick that means, probably full of black trannies with neon hair
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon: >anti soulslop >Roman and trad >mechakino bullet hell actually looks fun >Ace Combat of giant robots
They know Starfield will be a flop, so they aren't bothering with marketing. They're hoping to quietly release it and get on with their lives, hoping nobody notices. The bus ads for AC6 prove that the devs are confident it's going to be successful
LMAO here's your ad. What a joke... who thought this would be good? If I saw this, I'd immediately think it was a drinks ad, not even notice the game which is spelled out in tiny letters
Why would i be hyped for boring space garbage? Game isn't even about exploring colones full of npcs and awesome cities but about exploring empty planets.
how much can you shill a single player offline game anyways? The game will be exactly the same from here and 10 years down the line, save for some mods.
Shitty antagonistic aggro-shilling is more of a soulless euro thing, both the paid shills and the unpaid ones running on insecurity. Game will 100% be shilled against harder than it’s shilled for.
I don't know why anyone would ever care about hype for a single player game. Buy it, pirate it, or don't play it at all. Nobody should care what everyone else's interest and hype is for a single player game. The game is guaranteed to have a modding community either way given it's a Bethesda title and on the same engines everyone is familiar with.
What is crazy about not caring how many people are hype for a game? The only person that should matter is yourself and if you're personally interested in it or not.
why does it need hype, come release it becomes available to download for free on Gamepass, anyone with a high end PC or Xbox console already owns Gamepass so why hype something they already have access to
NMS is minecraft in space, there are lots of NPCs but they have nothing interesting to say. Even the non-procedural NPCs are a snoozefest of vague commentary and shit you don't care about. At least Bethesda games have actual characters and plotlines.
I know it's technically New Vegas but There Stands The Grass can be boiled down to 'shoot enemies, dialog options, interact with terminal, get paid', sounds boring right?
You didn't see that when Dr. Hildern gave you the quest, if you didn't find V22 before then walking up to this can be pretty ominous.
Like I said it's just a killing and talking quest but it's the flavor of it that makes it memorable.
A game's developer/producer telling me that something is 'interesting' doesn't automatically make it so.
Its still subjective and just sounds like marketing bullshit as usual
True, I’m just making things up as I go along.
I don’t know if Todd getting everyone at beth hq to buy the game to get the ball rolling really counts as ‘shitloads’.
See how you immediately knew what I meant by SF? That’s a gaming legacy. Starfield won’t even get a sequel. Keep those letters out of your mouth, spacer.
Kek, no. Skyrim type phenomenons only happen with tes. And then, it was just that one game, skyrim. Starfield is another fo3 if they’re really lucky. Which is to say, a dead game no one is going to be playing in ten years except people still using out of hardware that can’t play new games.
The only time Ganker is right about a game being a flop is when it's so obvious that it's not even fun to discuss. Everyone just goes "yea that looks like shit, I'm never touching it" then you get half a week of "Oh wow it really was shit, and it had poor sales" before people move on. Redfall went exactly like that.
It gets like 20 threads a day, there's just not much to bait about or even discuss so the threads die quickly. Also a serious lack of paid shills beyond maybe the OPs who start threads. The only people showing up to talk in these threads do it for free.
This Starfield thread about how little there is to talk about with regards to Starfield, where I'm posting about how there is nothing to talk about with regards to Starfield
>I'm sorry to interrupt but what you refer to as "starfield", "Starfield", and even "starfeld" is in fact called STARFIELD, in all capitals.
Todd thanks you for your service.
I think it'll be a sleeper hit. There's been little advertising, so people aren't talking about it much, but when it comes out there will be plenty of high profile youtubers, streamers, and whatnot who will pick it up because they need to play all the newest big name titles to generate content. They'll play it and say shit like, "Wow, I haven't been this drawn into a game since Skyrim. The world is so deep and alive and blah blah blah." It's a Bethesda game. People love that shit. So everyone will rush out and get it and say it "shatters expectations" because it wasn't hyped to Hell and back like most games.
It won't be long before we're flooded with Starfield threads.
>trading
They said nothing about trading. >space walking
In empty environments. >minecraft
It's like 4 already-made buildings that you place on the floor along a few useless furniture. >characters
Maybe, maybe not. Probably not. >WRPG
kek, topkek even. Your """""""""RPG""""""""" is just a character creation screen with a few weapons and space suits. >building
That's the only valid point: you can build your ship. We'll it be fun and useful? Probably not, it's BGS, after all.
is this the same moron spamming the same shit over and over again about starfield having zero hype or are sony ponies seriously this butthurt to be opening the same fricking thread 24/7 talking shit about starfield
The systems in place will have amazing potential. Tons of planets, tons of assets for any biome, no more shitty dialogue wheel, silent protag, new animation system, all the ship mechanics like halt other ships, piracy, contraband smuggling, extensive ship and crew customization, base building, weapon customization system, zero-g movement/combat, skill checks, bounty system. It’s gonna be kino at launch and when mods come out
Todd tried to erase this from the internet. I knew last year it would flop.
November 12 is my birthday, would've been an interesting coincidence.
I remember I was playing Fallout 4 one day after my birthday (I got it on my birthday but wasn't able to play it on that day because of high school and it being a Thursday) and while I was screwing around ISIS blew up Paris. Weirdest day of my life

So I guess you didn’t fix anything Todd

Starfield isn't a crafting/survival game. People here really should be better at recognizing game genres

ngmi
>being this new
Bethesda is always this silent with their games.
No they’re not they always release a press pass.
>Bethesda is always this silent with their games

Meanwhile Armored Core has BUS ADS

Excellent post
Tako je
it looks like shit
What looks like more fun?
Just 11 days until we all get to go back bros. It has been so long, ACV sucked fricking ass.
>Ace Combat of giant robots
This is exactly why I'm cooming right now
go and shill ur jap shit somewhere else gay
They know Starfield will be a flop, so they aren't bothering with marketing. They're hoping to quietly release it and get on with their lives, hoping nobody notices. The bus ads for AC6 prove that the devs are confident it's going to be successful
I remember Fallout 4 ads in London for months leading up to release. They even had lights on them. Haven't seen any for Starfield
LMAO here's your ad. What a joke... who thought this would be good? If I saw this, I'd immediately think it was a drinks ad, not even notice the game which is spelled out in tiny letters
>a game's quality is measured by it's ads
Holy consumerism!
It actually is though, more ads = worse quality game.
Why would i be hyped for boring space garbage? Game isn't even about exploring colones full of npcs and awesome cities but about exploring empty planets.
>two weeks
huh? It's September 6th, who gets it that early?
Premium edition buyers get it September 1st.
how much can you shill a single player offline game anyways? The game will be exactly the same from here and 10 years down the line, save for some mods.
I'm going to play it on game pass btw
what was cyberpunk like two weeks before release?
Utter chaos.
I'll wait this one out. Looks as boring as Diablo snore.
theres got to be a button to tab all of those item names right?
Yes, you can filter them out
I don't expect the best shooting or story or any of that stuff, I just like that it has that old Todd Howard 'little details' charm.
>2023
>gaming is saved
Thank you Todd

holy cope
Elaborate
You sound batshit crazy
What is crazy about not caring how many people are hype for a game? The only person that should matter is yourself and if you're personally interested in it or not.
That isn't the part why you sound like you're coping.
True, "hype" has been exposed to be almost entirely artificial these days, and it started as soon as twitter took off
Why do zoomzooms think the multiplayer slop they're personally invested into is somehow in a different class that plays by different rules?
fps kiddies live and die by the player count
Because multiplayer games rely on having people to play with. Single player games do not.
why does it need hype, come release it becomes available to download for free on Gamepass, anyone with a high end PC or Xbox console already owns Gamepass so why hype something they already have access to
welcome to an industry being run by limp wristed homosexuals and fat women that call themselves journalists
holy space kino, blasting homies left and right
so glad i got the premium edition bros
>No Man's Sky with combat
>a non shit version of no man's sky
NMS is minecraft in space, there are lots of NPCs but they have nothing interesting to say. Even the non-procedural NPCs are a snoozefest of vague commentary and shit you don't care about. At least Bethesda games have actual characters and plotlines.
>go to location X and kill bandits for 100 gold
I know it's technically New Vegas but There Stands The Grass can be boiled down to 'shoot enemies, dialog options, interact with terminal, get paid', sounds boring right?

A game's developer/producer telling me that something is 'interesting' doesn't automatically make it so.
Its still subjective and just sounds like marketing bullshit as usual
>extreme terrain with no fancy death stranding walking/climbing mechanics
No hype cause who owns an xbox
>playing bethesda game on console
moron
I've no doubt it's gonna be huge but it's a bethesda game, you've played it already
I don't remember blasting homies in space in any of their previous games??
But you shot a gun in FO4 so you already know how it's going to play
I'm gonna be flying a frickin spaceship dude, in space
Wow bro, imagine if you also smoked weed while flying through space, like woooooooah
Duddde thats literally what I'm gonna be doing lol
Todd games don't need hype or advertising. They sell themselves. Shit was already on the #1 sales list on steam for like two weeks.
They probably already got all their money back, thanks to pre-orders.
Between pc pirates and gamepass there will be no sales, in the traditional sense, so not much point marketing.
That would be best case scenario but it will reach 500k+ concurrent players on Steam
its already sold shitloads on steam, you guys just keep sharting out these opinions without the slightest idea.
True, I’m just making things up as I go along.
I don’t know if Todd getting everyone at beth hq to buy the game to get the ball rolling really counts as ‘shitloads’.
>I’m just making things up as I go along.
Thats fine, I can help with that.
>he pre-ordered it
I bet you're gigavaxxed too
Zero vaxed pureblood actually
Call it whatever you like as long as you’re not shorthanding it as SF.
I don't think streefighter even deserves the initials anymore. SF is now STARFIELD.
See how you immediately knew what I meant by SF? That’s a gaming legacy. Starfield won’t even get a sequel. Keep those letters out of your mouth, spacer.
SF (STARFIELD) will still be top selling in ten years bud.
Kek, no. Skyrim type phenomenons only happen with tes. And then, it was just that one game, skyrim. Starfield is another fo3 if they’re really lucky. Which is to say, a dead game no one is going to be playing in ten years except people still using out of hardware that can’t play new games.
I think you underestimate just how good this Todd-like is going to be. SF will be great, you'll soon see.
I'm very hyped, after the mentally ill leftoid degeneracy BG3 turned out to be I put all my faith in Todd.
>3 more weeks until you can taste Godd Howard's magnus opum
I am so fricking ready to build my space empire.
Don't you gays ever tire of this?
Every game you doomers say the same shit and get BTFO every single time, just stop.
The only time Ganker is right about a game being a flop is when it's so obvious that it's not even fun to discuss. He's right though? Nobody's talking about it, at least on here. Everyone's too busy shilling or complaining about BG3
It gets like 20 threads a day, there's just not much to bait about or even discuss so the threads die quickly. Also a serious lack of paid shills beyond maybe the OPs who start threads. The only people showing up to talk in these threads do it for free.
>no one's talking about STARFIELD in this STARFIELD thread where I'm posting about STARFIELD
This Starfield thread about how little there is to talk about with regards to Starfield, where I'm posting about how there is nothing to talk about with regards to Starfield
website wouldn't survive for long if they ever got tired of raging/doomsaying. They'll always find some game to be mad at.
Giddy with anticipation.
Just because there isn't 24/7 advertisement generals doesn't mean nobody cares.
>I'm sorry to interrupt but what you refer to as "starfield", "Starfield", and even "starfeld" is in fact called STARFIELD, in all capitals.
Todd thanks you for your service.
Why the big emphasis on ship building when Todd said it's a late-game feature when you finally have enough money to do it?
I think it'll be a sleeper hit. There's been little advertising, so people aren't talking about it much, but when it comes out there will be plenty of high profile youtubers, streamers, and whatnot who will pick it up because they need to play all the newest big name titles to generate content. They already confirmed stuff like contraband and space trucking perks, it will certainly have at least some elite/freelancer mechanics.
>trading
You can build freighters. Must be some space trucking.
Everyone's busy playing either the Tarkov Wipe or Baldur's gate 3.
I honestly don't care that it releases soon I won't have time to play, anyway we need a full year from modders before the game becomes decent.
is this the same moron spamming the same shit over and over again about starfield having zero hype or are sony ponies seriously this butthurt to be opening the same fricking thread 24/7 talking shit about starfield
You're a good man, anon. I'll be sure to remember this.
thank you, todd
i'm soo glad ill be able to play this first though should get a full play through in before starfeild
I am the world's biggest Starfield fan and I'm excited to play it for the first time.
I'm not playing BG3 or Starfield, I'm waiting for Rogue Trader
They are just saving money on marketing, it's an unneeded expense, this thing is on gamepass and will sell anyway
