>Assigning broken officer to Logistic, Tug, and capital ship with high maintenance
I just hates it seeing the supplies and fuel cost running my large fleet, raping has been a godsend to my tism needs.
>I just hate seeing the supplies and fuel cost running my large fleet
Yeah me too. Even when I can afford to run a large fleet with cruisers and capitals, I still opt to use a frigate and destroyer fleet with maybe one or two cruisers at most.
So Sierra would be like Jenny from MLAATR, while Midnight would be more like GLADOS. Their paizuri interactions would be quite interesting in contrast to eachother.
post your mod list, i had this error like 3 weeks ago with the 0.9 version and its a mod conflict, if i remember correctly is something to do with tahlan but your case may be different or i remember wrongly idk
whats there to do in this game you obsess over it for so long? i saw filthyrobot play it on twitch and he lasted about a week or two which is amount of content i expected it to have.
This is especially true if you have that one mod that adds stellar reflector cores or whatever they are, you'll be lucky to find just 1 or 2 pristine forges in the whole of the sector.
the mod name is DIY planet, beside being able to construct a hypshunt and create a small planet with plentiful resources, I recommend not using it and just stick with TA "hopefully no loggers" SC.
There're tons from the meme potrait mods too but like you said, faceless helmets are the best. Too bad not many mods add them (or just use vanilla ones with a filter)
>this portrait is my commander in Blackrock
I like it, but I'm just a Blackrock explorer and probably will start my own faction pretty soon

Rapeanon
Try to check this out of you're still looking for portraits
https://www.nexusmods.com/starsector/mods/83
You've been tainted by Noah's 2 tone bullshit portraits
Don't do that
And?
You think its fine to just ALLOW some troony's bullshitry to go rampant?
You do know that vanilla has a pattern that actually matches the portrait, like with the hair and clothes colors being used on that specific one, while the gay's is just completely random?
Why do you think the Domain(and by extension the Heg) banned AI in the first place?
They're not really hiding it when Cotton himself told you he can hear the music

>Why do you think the Domain (and by extension the Heg) banned AI in the first place? >They're not really hiding it when Cotton himself told you he can hear the music
You've got it backwards. You, Ludd and Cotton are some of the last descendants of a dying race.
Pilgrims were the first human space explorers and settles. For five centuries they defied the odds: They embraced space and were rewarded with a gift of a flawless sense of direction. No computers, no compasses, no charts. They just knew. Then, in a small number, about one in a million, a change started to occur. They learned to feel the magnetic fields created by black holes and quasars -- to negotiate singularities. They learned to navigate not just the stars, but space-time itself.
The billions of calculations each second necessary to lead us through a black hole or quasar is an AI Cores attempt to recreate of the mind of a single Pilgrim.
So I finished another run. Got a nice settlement of 10 planets, all getting me some good income. I also managed to build that huge mayasuran supership that cost 1,000,000 credits. Felt nice.
Thinking of installing the UAF for my next run. Not for rape, but so I can invade and destroy their sector. Thoughts?
It's probably the top-down limitation but conventional battleships have barbette or raised platform on varying height to allow main cannon to be mounted close together.

yeah what you depict is called superfiring and you see the back of the front turret would bump into the back one if thats how it was
>Thinking of installing the UAF for my next run. Not for rape, but so I can invade and destroy their sector. Thoughts?
UAF is a shitty mary sue gaytion.
If you're not using RS or the breakers you're a troon,
It's not that hard. Their side systems are lightly defended and Lunamin is easy to break with a big enough fleet. The supercapital itself will only really fight if you attack the capital planet so you can save that one for last.
just wait for next patch and use the Gremlin with Antimatter SRM Launchers and Needlers, as your flagship it'll benefit from Wolfpack Tactics and you can run around being an obnoxiously tanky strike frigate.
I once got ganked by a Hege fleet with about a dozen of these things on top of all their heavy armor bricks.
Holy shit were those things annoying and effective, I think the Yowie spam locked down and did more damage than all the other capitals and cruisers did.
doom makes better use of Antimatter SRMs and Resonator MRMs than it does Antimatter Blasters imo. Doom can be fast, but AMB wants you to hit and run constantly and the Doom suffers from coil stress way too quickly to do that safely in tougher fights. With Resonators and Antimatter SRMs you can stay at Mine teleporting distance and surround somebody with ultra death on all sides from safety rather than putting yourself in harm's way. I don't have the link but I remember a starsector forum post back in 2022 of somebody letting an AI-piloted Resonator/ASRM Doom solo 240 DP worth of midline fleet
all i do is phase through a ship and fire 6 linked blasters on its ass
if shields were up its now overloaded and if they werent im blasting 2 reapers on its ass
>end up making a new run so I can put UAF and another hullmod mod (the one adding the SSR/SR/R smods to gacha mod) >this time bladebreaker deserter with the cool cruiser >everyone hates me >but I found Solvernia V
bruh what the frick is this, what the frick is wrong with modders, why was people shitting on Neutrino Barghest or anything Tahlan Shipworks when shit like this exist?
>Space Rome >Ruled by three AI "Gods" >All ships have special hullmods that change the way they are played, equipping one of the three gives them heavy as frick armor, long as hell range, or a form of pseudo Safety Overrides with emphasis on Close Quarters Battle
Also they have giant space nuke launchers, the oversied cruiser sized nukes do different things depending on what above hullmod you use.
i personally love the Matriarch class Battlestar, which is a unique capital ship with a built-in targeting core, 6 fighter bays, and a bunch of smaller and medium turrets that are perfect for intercepting fighters and missiles. It also has a unique weapon to the imperium, which is basically a huge missile launcher that fires 6 slow moving reaper missiles simultaneously.
I love using one with a wingcom suite, so it becomes the star of my battlefleet.
Yeah, its shield shunt for +30% accelerated timeflow. The Ristreza derivatives with forced overdrive can bully fleets of smaller ships but be careful fighting other caps.

Way ahead of you.
I've been called a nazi by dumb redditors solely because I had a character in my webnovel name a martial art in german - and this is completely unrelated to anything starsector. I chose a german name half because I was already using german as a stand-in for an archaic version of the in-setting language that the protag speaks, and half as an homage to GUNNM (Battle Angel Alita).
Several moronic redditoids of course screeched about this.

all "Romans" throughout history since the fall of Rome were larpers and there's nothing stopping the Domain (or the company that create the ships) from larping as them
>Muh fall of rome!
The empire continued to exist in the east even after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, any claims otherwise are cope by the Sacrilegious German Confederation trying to undermine the actual Roman Empire to make their burning pile of failure look better.
Do not be fooled, there is a difference between Romans, larpers who put some effort in, and idiots who give themselves a shitty faux-latin name and call it good.

I've never tried their ships that much, but their weapons are pretty fun to frick around with, though they have limited munitions which isnt really an issue.
hey buckbreaker anon I have some suggestions I'd like to make
1: make buckbreaker ships have a hidden 5% damage boost with weapons that have "breaker" in their name, or some variant of it. steal the code from kocksucker's manic miner mod or whatever, idc
2: please for the love of god tune down engine plume size, especially on smaller ships
3: can you get rid of the built in non-hidden omega weapons? it turns the ships from above average to overkill, but more importantly, it limits customization options and it looks like a fricking eyesore because the omega weapons just don't match the ship they're built into. if you really insist on keeping them, at least paint them buckbreaker brown/crimson
Why make it hidden though? That's moronic AF, helps no one. Just messes with people who actually look at stats. Add the extra damage onto or as a built-in hullmod or something.
i'd like there to be one, maybe as a toggle, or SP point, where you fricking drug her with an amnesiac and throw her into an autodoc machine or something

I wish their was an online variant viewer because Im fricking shit at making ships and have no idea what I'm doing. None of my ships beat beat ships with less ordinance points on simulation when I use auto pilot.
>None of my ships beat beat ships with less ordinance points on simulation when I use auto pilot. >not owning it by adding more Mudskipper MK.II to the game.
Half the issue with shitbashing is there's more to balancing a ship than what's in the .csv, or what size the mounts are. Mount placement and angle is such a big deal it can't be understated.
Honestly, there's an untapped market for lower powered factions on par with early pirates, derelicts, and pathers in the modding world anyway. Throw the failures into an early game antagonist faction imh and just take the lessons onto the next experiment. I made a shitbash destroyer that literally cannot stand up to other destroyers in a fair fight, and the less said about what a hammerhead does to it, the happier I'll be. It's so good at murdering frigates though, I'm happy to just leave it as is.
>Honestly, there's an untapped market for lower powered factions on par with early pirates, derelicts, and pathers in the modding world anyway.

Then they can get filtered like the plebs they are. The power creep circle jerk isn't fun. Getting fleetsizebyDP mod and cleaning up with a wall of mudskipper MK.IIs is however hilarious.

this is absolutely awful advice, do not listen to this moron
I agree, for your own ship (and even AI ships) its more about having a good loadout rather then having it be flux efficient
Its "Burn Bright and Burn Hard"
Not "Burn under the recommended Tri-Tachyon limits for this hull type", what are you, gay?
"flux efficiency" just means being unable to really pour on the damage when you do get an opening. winning means turning 2v1s into 2v0s before the exposed ship can retreat
you put too much trust in the AIs capability to not be completely moronic

AI can't handle underfluxed ships intelligently.
Low tech ships don't care, because they have they have more missile slots and longer ranged weapons for for hitting retreating ships. Having good flux is particularly important for low tech ships because they can't rely on speed to keep them out of harm's way and have particularly poor shields and flux. In the end, exceeding your flux capacity is only good advice for a human-piloted ship in general and high-tech situationally.
"flux efficiency" just means being unable to really pour on the damage when you do get an opening. winning means turning 2v1s into 2v0s before the exposed ship can retreat

Not that Anon, but still found it. The ship is clearly a Diable Avionics Capital. Finding the name of the ship was easy enough (Pandemonium), and then it's just a matter of searching for the art of it on Twitter.
Character is an OC by the artist with details of the capital.

Try vanilla first. If you are adamant about sing mods first there are some Quality-Of-Life ones that don't change gameplay mechanics and make the player's life easier.
Yes, it's pretty much like Mount & Blade in space, with the option of colonizing planets/systems and starting your own faction later on.
The vanilla game doesn't have diplomatic relation changes between NPC factions, but that feature can be added through mods. It changes the game considerably, however, so definitely don't use it in your first playthrough.
Sseth's vid has a CD Key that should still work if you want to try it out first:
It plays more like Mount&blade than any sorta 4X.
You start off as a small time starship captain with one or two ships and then get sent to the big world right off the bat.
vanilla until you reach the point where your colonies pump millions and you just go "oh so what do i do now" then realise there is nothing to do and get into modding
Vanilla first, thought Fleet size by DP should be standard.
It replace the arbitrary 30 ships soft-cap and let you replace big ship with lot of smaller one.
https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=22191.0
As comparison goes it does play like M&B, you travel with your fleet on the map view and it have mechanics, then occasionally you fight as your own ship (or not, I rarely fly my ship myself I just give order and appreciate the show)
Obligatory:
Also frick the false signal mechanic on the Neutrino Detector, I don't call "having to move straight for minutes to clear any risk of missing very well hidden loot" a game mechanic. Needing to store volatile is more than enough.

Does it fricking look like any of us homosexuals here in this thread have any significant connection to the BB+'s author? Go pester the dude or something.
it has the problem of trying to incorporate the anal circumference meme (the sex counter) there is basically just one dialogue, so the mod wants you to pump those numbers up, but also discourages it because once you do it a couple times there is no real benefit.
It would be neat if maybe there were additional officer ai elements that could be programmed into them via sex. Kind of like the potions in dragons dogma that you could use to modify the pawns behaviors. Then depending on what you did (like, the ratio between types) they might have subtly different combat actions. Also officers need randomly generated preferences when generated that you can either use or deny for different effects.
The whole broken thing could in fact be changed not to just timid in the vanilla starsector sense but instead how dutifully they obey their programming. Maybe clever use of fancy ship systems would be restricted to non broken officers, as well as things like an officer who normally holds the line taking opportunities to dash in and push if its really advantageous.
Maybe you could have officers have relationships with each other as well, if you want to use male officers for something (and stubbornly refuse to add the gay) you could do something like give one a slave who he trains up and it becomes an officer that just always escorts him. This would practically save time for assigning combat roles. For protagonist harem fantasy purposes you could even have multiple females that you are involved try to get each other killed in combat or conversely like each other and support each other depending on their various tendencies
Dude. Not even vanilla AI is anywhere near that deep lmao. And the girls trying to get others killed defeats the purpose of a harem. They'd make shitty officers if they decided to get half the fleet blown up along with my good officer wives. That's a one-way ticket to the Breeding Facility.

Is there a mod to recolonize the station?
luddic path has ill advised mods not pirates
pirate falcon has 2 missile slots as the only real difference iirc
FalconP has unstable injectors too, less range for more speed.
TASC, it allows you to colonize abandoned stations (vanilla and modded), construct mining stations in asteroid belt or asteroid fields, astropolis station on planets and volatile mining station on gas giants. The station themselves won't have much condition (mining stations get moderate amound of ore and rare ore or volatiles).
You can use the stations for terraforming or for industries like refining, fuel production and heavy industry, the TASC mod also add some toggleable industries and buildings that doesn't require any raw resources for the industry to function like Hydroponics (produce food, require heavy machinary) or Limelight networks (increase income, requires the mods resoucre) so they can be constructed on any planets. Also you can make (vanilla) colony items with 2 story point and 2000 mcguffin resource the mod added.

Why the frick did the homosexual integrate it into his terraforming mod? Why did he need to do that? He could easily have the mod checking for updates as its own separate thing and there likely would be far less controversy if he did it that way. Instead he chose to be a homosexual. >he look up on public table where the IP come from for his curiosity
He isn't entitled to satisfying that curiousity. Frick off. >every website you'll connect to can do that.

Boggled added a "version checker" to TASC as a backup. What he didn't mention was it was also taking a copy of the users settings. This is acceptable.
What he also did not mention was he was also creating a record of everyones ips, running a trace and logging their physical location. This was by many deemed unacceptable. Boggled didn't care and only switched the server off when Alex told him to make it opt-in or he'd remove the mod.
It should also be noted that disabling the version checker did not disable the settings/location logging. This was only added after the latter was publicly disclosed.

Yeah, they're completely safe.
One part of me wish there was some kind of gameplay for making your secret space haven.
The other part of me is god damn ok with being able to store stuff and even soldiers/crew for free.
It's not that either. it's the original, standalone mod. It has different built-in weapons and more wing slots compared to the buckbreaker version. See
Fricking hell, anon. If you're gonna take one of my screenshots at least use one of the decent ships.
Where do I download that thing anyway?
I tried looking through the archived threads but all I could find were talks about the vanilla cruiser and some guy that wont shut up about how much he loves that thing but doesn't post any links for a download
theres like 3 variants of that ship and that one with 10 small slots is a massive waste
one of them has the better built in gun and way better missiles that replace the small slots
get lots of them and slap on ECM packages to improve fleet ecm bonus
loadout: >vulcan >ecm package >bulkheads >harpoon MRMs >4 capacitors
enjoy the shitty PD and a few extra missiles
Hidden plot twist, the update turns out to be locked behind a counter of players heavily invested in their current run. Alex feeds off that "Despair gauge".
All the Domain Drones breaks the invade option from Nexereling, but only the +New Drones version. Pic related, first one is with the Domain Drones +New Drones, second one is with +Vanilla.

I would swap DIY planets for TASC though
I just enjoyed the exploration and colony building a lot so I didn't need much of anything at the time.
There's way too many faction mods so I wanted to ask for some recommendations before blindly spinning the wheel.
I tried TASC before but I remember not really liking how it worked compared to DIY.

its got 4 launchers + expanded racks, missile skills and quickload racks
so its got 24 nukes and regens 4 nukes every 191 seconds
ive actually grown to love how quick it is to launch them because it has almost perfect aim
every time theres a large group of destroyers or cruisers it somehow manages to land a nuke directly in the center of all of them
but it has resulted in many friendly fire incidents including almost destroying itself multiple times
Not RS dev but it was because we're horny. And the faux puritan modding homosexuals screech at the sight of anything sexual or right wing that got based mods deleted.
>why was rapesector developed? >Im guessing to get back at UAF and other annoying modders who put anime girls in their mods?
RS was basically developed for fun. When Noah and the UAF tragoons discovered you could capture their self-inserts they behaved like children and wanted their self-inserts to automatically run away from their responsibility after losing a battle. They did this by adding anti-capture code, which was easily circumvented.
They practically gave us the golden bullet to their seething. If they had just owned up to it they wouldn't have received any special attention.
For a Terran world, that's pretty bad tbh. You can take that and just put Farming and Mining on it. Once you feel like abandoning it, just give it autonomy if you're playing on Nex.
It's decent if you have thingy which add ruin archeology stuff. Other way it's have poor resouces You would better look for farming +1-+2 and other resources being basic or better. Not -1 on ore like there.
You definitely want to build a couple colonies to get fat passive income.
All planets I've found are pretty bad so far. I'll just keep looking.
It's decent if you have thingy which add ruin archeology stuff. Other way it's have poor resouces You would better look for farming +1-+2 and other resources being basic or better. Not -1 on ore like there.
The key to colony is not to find a good planet, it's to find a good system.
You want a source of Food (so habitable one)
A source of gas for fuel production
A source of metal/transplutonic
2/3 stables point for system boost, or if you use a TASC mod one point to build a gate. If you use that mod you can basically terraform anything
Ehh, I just go to the nearest system and colonize it. Really don't matter to me what it has. One of my favorites has to be the Nekki system.
>Capital World Jenius is where I put all my ships and items >Meshan is my volatile mining facility, and it doubles as a commerce market >Cascadia and Aznable become twins Cascanable Ein and Cascanable Zwei, use them for things like void extraction or variable manufactories >Raven becomes my outlier planet, has anything I don't already have on other planets
Can't help but think you might have been very lucky if "that nearest system" had everything you needed.
It's not always the case and without a source of Food the start is painful.
Of course you can always minmax money making, allowing you to buy the Food.
What helps me clear it even with a small fleet is to put an Avoid command on the mothership. Your fleet will evenly spread out and create a line that shouls slowly destroy all the adds, when you clear the trash around it, remove the Avoid and go in.
A small group of Tempests can handle that. You'll be fine, probably.
It's basically just a shitty station with no shields and some drones guarding it. You need HE damage but that's abt it

IRS gets dragged into it by Hegemony, but their individual relationship with UAF was always good in my runs. IRS votes to end war with UAF before casualties get too high.
They've got huge flux caps but very shit vents, combined with their really high speed, you'll want to jump in, start blasting, then skedaddle once you hit maybe 75% flux. Don't try to armor tank, tissue paper's more protective than whatever they use for armor.
I think it's also because most of the time with a ship of that nature, as in one built-in weapon being its main feature, there's a charge up time between pressing fire and the weapon actually firing, like the Nevermore from Blackrock, or the Mimir from Shadowyards. The AI just can't fricking grasp this and they'll 'fire' the weapon only to move immediately after, thus sending the projectile shooting off into nothingness, or your own damn ships.

Question for mod anons, how hard do you think it'd be for a anon who has never done modding, to make a high-tech cult faction that serves to as an early game threat, like the luddic path.
i wish modders actually plundered sprites instead of being lazy and painting vanilla ones and calling it a day
carters free traders are the worst offender where they got almost all the vanilla ballistic weapons but slightly different colour making me double take all the time
im getting close to starting my own ship list at this point to take the one ship from them i want to use and deleting this piece of shit
I would very much enjoy a mod using plundered Carters/JYD sprites. I like the sprites but the mods themselves have completely fricked balance, unsurprisingly since they're from the Hivers guy.
I especially hate the unique ships with completely insane OP numbers that have the desc. "Flagship of so and so"
What you describe is the typical
Showroom vs Cathedral approach to modding.
Either the modder consider his work to be a self-consistent work of art.
Or the modder consider he is only doing his best to participate to a grand collective art.
I wish Starsector modders went for the Cathedral. I want vanilla-like ships and I want weapons pack that fit all.

Cathedral approaches breed that screeching because you underwrite a ‘guild secret’ mentality into the structure.

Alright, calmly for five seconds:
In a showroom free for all, what teeth does any given individual have that they can enforce their claim on their little 5px of ‘donut steel’?
Because cathedral implies they have a central body who can enforce that. Showroom implies that unless other people agree with their claim, they’ve got nothing.

None, that's why no one actually care about the drama queen not even other modder.
It take a LOT of effort to piss of a bunch of egocentric modder who usually wouldn't mind a nazi-faction their mod can fight, as long as the nazi-modder isn't trying to force his IRL propaganda down everyone's throat.

You've never seen modding community with that kind of approach do you?
Look up Rimworld Vanilla Expended (yes there's still one guy talking for others). also don't let Ganker brainwash you into thinking people working together = cabal
Showroom approach is what lead to cabal in my opinion.
Considers:
a) 10 modder who make their mods for themselves/to show off, and don't want lesser being to steal/sully their 'original mod'. That's the only thing they can agree on.
b) 10 modder who make some mods without caring much about credit, and whatever come out of the mod is what they could agree on.
Not saying the cathedral approach can't go awry or not cater to the furry rape guy but as I said it require humility in the first place.
And no working on a group work don't mean you instantly become a communist actively sabotaging self-expression project, that's your brain on Ganker.
I prefer it but the cathedral approach do have limitation, it's not good for every game, and sometime you need that crazy artist/autist to spice things up.
In a game like Starsector, which is centered around modular technologies we could avoid a lot of repetition.
Here a little something I saw posted a while ago:

>also don't let Ganker brainwash you into thinking people working together = cabal
This gives way too much credit to the good nature of people who weren't ever being good natured. The Starsector cabal used to actively police who was and who wasn't allowed to make Starsector mods. If you weren't part of the approved list, you were removed, end of discussion. To call it cliquish is to really undersell how cancerous it was. >And no working on a group work don't mean you instantly become a communist actively sabotaging self-expression project, that's your brain on Ganker.
In the interests of being calm and polite, I'm resisting the urge to screech with all the rage my autism can muster on this point. That's a strawman, and a very uncharitable one at that. Avoid indulging in this habit if you ever want to be listened to.
Also: >http://wryemusings.com/Cathedral%20vs.%20Parlor.html >2005
In that nearly 20 years, we've had the worst excesses of both experiments - the parlor and the cathedral - play out in extremely messy ways. Hindsight matters here. >inb4 you make unfortunate assumptions about my position.
Imho, these things are at their most stable when both models exist and are competing for top dog slot. Consider self-publishing vs. publishing house for books, or going through a record label vs. bandcamp. There's advantages and disadvantages to both, but more importantly each individual who wants to throw their hat in the ring is allowed to pick their own fricking poison.
Personally, I don't fricking care about the academic argument, because it's just intellectual masturbation. I'm inclined towards the Parlor approach not because I think it's 'better', but because I think it's 'better for me specifically'. With creative shit, I'm more comfortable in an informal setting where I can just show people what I've done. What I care about here is having either path cut off because someone arbitrarily decided for that 'we're all better off that way'.

>In that nearly 20 years
First, time is irrelevant.
Second, you could be out of a 200y dark age it would not change the points made here.
The "Cathedral / Showroom" really just stand for "Joint effort / Solo effort" and that will last as long as 2 persons exist.
It's not one or the other, both can and do happen simultaneously, with a group of modder cooperating on taking care of low-level foundation then splitting off making their own mods built on those foundations (showroom in a cathedral).
>Imho, these things are at their most stable when both models exist and are competing for top dog slot. >competing
With all the respect possible on Ganker, that way of thinking is the cause of most of your modder drama.
You encourage competing and mocking/acting against others who did not take your "path" to protect yours. Hell, most of this thread is about raping an uppity modder self-insert. Talk about good natured creative work... Not saying rape-anon shouldn't be free to make the mod of his dream, as long as he let it the players choice and don't pollute landscape (Ganker is a wasteland so it's ok) he is still ethically ahead.
I'm not saying you have to chose. Personally I'm just saying a cathedral approach would benefit Starsector and that is the opposite of a cabal the more people get involved.
>Consider self-publishing vs. publishing house for books >record label vs. bandcamp
Just pointing out we need to keep copyright and IP laws out of this and assume everything is Open.
>That's a strawman, and a very uncharitable one at that.
Please, it's Ganker. You know many here will jump to that conclusion out of plain stupidity or painfully defend that his/their imaginary straw-based enemies exist. If not for anonymity some here would 100% create a cabal to harass modder/opinion you don't like.

>Hell, most of this thread is about raping an uppity modder self-insert. Talk about good natured creative work...
It's more of a blacklash than an attack though. Noah wasn't given any special treatment until he started throwing shitfits everytime something didn't pander to his whims. He maliciously added stealth nerfs because he didn't want anybody else to have a faction more powerful than his, flipped out again when he was put on the receiving end of his own actions (Buckbreakers), and RS paid him no special attention until he flipped out yet again and tried to force concessions for his self-insert on RS. Noah has set himself up as a villian through his own ill nature and the drama he produces fuels what happens here.

>First time is irrelevant.
Not when that span of time is showing example cases other anons in this thread are citing as counterpoints. >With all the respect possible on Ganker, that way of thinking is the cause of most of your modder drama. >"Your". >"You".
I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt on your post formatting, but this phrasing is a commonality in all your posts. You talk about yourself as if you're somehow distinct or different to the rest of board culture - in other words you talk like someone 'not from these parts'. This isn't the place to act like you're some enlightened savior coming in to shower us with your wisdom.
You're from elsewhere trying to convince us to change how we do things here. That's only going to be met with hostility. >I'm not saying you have to chose.
Then your entire string of posts in this thread is purposeless. When directly called upon to take a stance of conviction, you squirm out of it with noncommittal equivocation.
If you're not directly advocating for something, then why are you wasting your time arguing with unreceptive strangers over it? >Just pointing out we need to keep copyright and IP laws out of this...
IP laws? Who the frick is talking about IP laws? Do you think anyone here cares about the sanctity of their shitbashes?
This really seals it that you do not understand board culture - that you ARE a tourist here. >... and assume everything is Open.
You mean what people here presume as 'the default'? >Please, it's Ganker.
Yeah, it's pissing in a sea of piss, but I wonder if you understand what that actually means. >If not for anonymity some here would 100% create a cabal to harass modder/opinion you don't like.
But that's the beauty of anonymity, isn't it? Shit opinions get to eat shit, and the person who posted the shit opinion can always walk away, nothing tying them to said opinion, especially when the thread inevitably dies.
They can come back into a new thread, blank slate, and try again.

You sure are 'from these parts' given how fast you've jumped to personal attack because I didn't fit the mold you are used to.
How about you judge people by their words? Just posting on Ganker exclude you from enlightenment anyway.
>>I'm not saying you have to chose. >Then your entire string of posts in this thread is purposeless. When directly called upon to take a stance of conviction
Anon, you cut the half of the line reminding you the stance I've make explicit from the start.
As I said: >>I'm not saying you have to chose. Personally I'm just saying a cathedral approach would benefit Starsector and that is the opposite of a cabal the more people get involved.
That you do not have to chose is factual because it is not a binary choice.
Both can/do coexist and that's the point I'm correcting you on.
Nitpick all you want, I can rephrase, I think a -more- cathedral approach would benefit Starsector modding scene in my opinion.
>You mean what people here presume as 'the default'?
Just making sure, you really should know that anon will turn into a fervent defender of IP laws the instant he think it could benefit him.
>Not when that span of time is showing example cases other anons in this thread are citing as counterpoints.
What examples?
None were given and it's hard to have counterpoint on a variable that's still irrelevant.
There's other consideration that make a game more or less receptive to a modding style but time isn't in it.
Or well, maybe only in that cathedral-style modding tend to last longer as new modders maintain the code.
>But that's the beauty of anonymity, isn't it?

What I care about here is having either path cut off because someone arbitrarily decided for that 'we're all better off that way'.
you were clearly focused on it as a "choice" >There's advantages and disadvantages to both, but >[...] >What I care about here is having either path cut off because someone arbitrarily decided for that 'we're all better off that way'.
So I covered it.
It's not a binary choice.
>What's the part of this sentence you didn't finish?
Wasn't it obvious? We are talking in metaphor, I'm just making sure we continue to ignore IP laws because of what you asked me to consider... >self-publishing vs. publishing house for books >record label vs. bandcamp
...have a very distinct dynamic from modding and it involve money.
>Do you aim to be condescending, or does it just happen?
IMHO probably the later but some of your accusation make me want to do the former.

Completely irrelevant to your bit about time you posted before him and that's like complaining Alex is mentioned more when StarSector is the work of 4 persons. It's childish at best so I ignore him.

Social pressure still apply to anonymous board, just differently. The overconfidence that come from anonymity can be exploited to make someone accept shit opinions as long as the troll is good with repetitive patterns&memes.

Creating a faction is rather easy if you just steal another modder's faction and replace the parts that need to be changed like starting system, blueprints, name and info and relations, etc. Obviously if you're planning to give them custom ships, its a lot more work, but I'm sure you already guessed that.
The option to take the shuttle to meet the provsosk didn't appear when I thought it should, but it was fixed by restarting the game. Dumb of me to ask first without trying everything.
wondering what do some of these hullmods do....
can't find them anywhere in the mod files, and that sucks bigtime because the Abyss Gazer one just says ?????? in the statcard
like pic rel+putting it in TG mode above the settings in picrel
you also want to add yourself a FRICKTON story points and maybe edit the r/sr/ssr weights in the config file inside the .jar
a bunch of ships have siege mode assuming its the one that cuts speed in half and increases fire rate and/or range
uaf built in weapons are garbage tier anyways
I just began the Nex start that gives you Inky-Echo-Nightingale. Is there something I've got to do to begin the quest to get its ship or is it just pure exploration?
I backed off every time the option was given. I assume it's because I didn't get her to 100/100 and only to 87/100. But frick it, she's in the Academy now. The problem will fix itself.
TBF I haven't actually reached level cap in .95 yet. Just really getting back into Starsector so to me SP is a hot commodity. IDK how easy it is to get once I hit cap.

maybe, but im level 15 and all out and i need to install 31 more smods, elite 13 more officer skills and permanently install 7 more ai cores

try making your fleet as lean as possible, if you are fighting fleets lower than 3 star difficulty you will get shit xp.

You've got it backwards, how desperate do mod creators have to be to shill their social media for the attention.
So anyone here wanna help me fix Barghest Causality from Neutrino? The ship is classified as a phase ship, yet it doesn’t accept neither phase nor shield hullmods. It says it has a shield, but it doesn’t have any shields.
Nevermind, I got it fixed alongside the Ziggurat XIV. Now I’m trying to figure out how to not override the base game Ziggy’s motes with the XIV one’s orange motes.
Next system and I find this little guy floating around.
Must be my lucky day.
Also I scoured about 4-5 fringe sectors and got some 60 gamma cores, can I get my rep up to the big leagues with this if I turn them in to factions?
Nia's bounty character is just a regular hegemony captain with Nia's portrait. The captain isn't unique, but the other parts of the bounty, like fleet and flagship variants, all depend on tahlan assets. Not gonna add tahlan as a dependency for rs lmao.

Good, accelerate the destruction. It’s only a matter of time they proceed to pull out special scripts that completely prevent raping the unique characters, only to be overridden by Rsector and be assfricked again.
>the evil 4chins cares more about preserving outdated mods, then the "caring" mod cabal
You guys even taught me how to modify mods, while those jerks would spit on me for daring to touch their little creations. How else will Diable be viable unless I buff their ships?
It's nothing crazy. All I did was just give some ships extra OP, back to around pre-nerf levels.
>gave 25 OP to Pandemonium, decreased deployment cost to 40 >gave 25 OP to Maelstrom, decreased deployment cost to 65 (wtf was he thinking increasing it to 75, is he crazy) >gave the wunder wanzer 25 OP
Right now, I'm unsure if I should also buff the weapons individually.
Also, I don't know what he was thinking by removing wanzer servicing gantry from the maelstrom, and then not giving it a single buff to compensate. You'd think the mod's second biggest battleship should be allowed to use their unique hullmod, but I guess that would've made too much sense.

Actually wait, I think I'm wrong. It might be this. I thought the Blizzaia wing was full of interceptors, but it's a wanzer, so there's only one.

Yeah, edited it up by one, and the ones underlined is the one governing on how many fighters per wing.

The "bomber" line confused me, since you wouldn't expect a wanzer to fit that role normally.

From what I can gather that line is supposed to be on what "role" a given wing is suppose to be/do.The line afterwards is the description on what it is in game.

There a mod that introduces a premade black hole system?
I can’t work out how to code accretion disks and want to shamelessly steal it from someone more competent.
>habitable
That alone is still valuable if you’re determined to make it work, fewer credits spent in hazard pay to grow it.
Population industry contributes to drug market if you go freeport, and that industry grows itself because it’s habitable.
Throw a Biofactory Embryo on it, corner the domestic good market as well.
>best fighters
No that’s probably the Thunder.
Reason for wasps here though is the Mora is a combat carrier, which means it’s coded to try and directly get into weapons range (whereas regular carriers prefer staying back - those are the ones you stuck thunders on to make use of its extremely long engagement range).
Wasps however have a reasonably short engagement range, are expendable drones coming out in massive swarms of 6, and they flood the area in laser fire and proximity bombs.
You don’t treat wasps as fighters, you treat them as a short range pseudo-large mount that is very likely to burn out your retinas with all the explosions it puts on screen.
Okay, I don't get this in the slightest. So poptartiflette removes the wanzer gantry from the maelstrom, but instead of taking out the line about the hullmod (which I had to look up just to see what the ID was) he just adds a # sign? Is that really how the game says "don't use this"? Been racking my brain for an hour trying to find out how to re-add the gantry back to the maelstrom, because both the mael and the pandem had this hullmod, and only now, ONLY NOW, do I realize that there's this little # sign separating them. I am going to be so pissed if that's all it took to undo tartoofsky's nerf.
Yeah, that's a common thing in programming. They 'dummy out' things rather than deleting them entirely in case, for whatever reason, they have to revert a change.
The # just turns the line into a 'comment' which means the computer ignores it and goes to the next line. So in all the .ship and .variant and all those sorts of files, # is essentially removing it from the game.
Just in case you need to know: In Java code (so the actual scripts which make up the game) it's done with // for a line, or for a section /* to open and */ to close, instead.
the more you learn about modding the more pathetic people who think they are hot shit for making mods become
In hindsight, I should've realized it sooner when I saw the "oversized hull" mod still in the code, when the changelog's first note is about how he removed it from the pandemonium.
>Onslaught >Legion >2 Dominators >Mora >2 Hammerheads
Seriously, how in the frick can you lose that battle? Also organise your ships, this hurts to look at.
Should be able to, just put an ignore command at the Capital at the start once spotted. Hunt down the smaller ships first to reduce the ECM penalty they give.
Oh yeah, Radiant's are one of the strongest ships in the game, modded or not. The amount of damage they can throw down range while their shields tank is insane. That Phase skimmer is a b***h too.
>those Hammerheads
Put two assault chainguns and two harpoon racks on them as soon as you can, they'll punch far above their weight with that loadout especially if you pilot one.
I tried to ignore the Radiant.
It just jumps on my ships and takes them out and the little ones just stay behind it.

This happens every time there's some new drama, they stick out like a sore thumb because they can't help but mass-reply and type out these light novels to defend themselves.

Rape only decreases relationship. If she's broken, that's when she'll get her personality replaced to timid.
Not much other than slight decrease in CR rate. Just raise it to elite and assign her to logistic or expensive capital ship.
>Assigning broken officer to Logistic, Tug, and capital ship with high maintenance
I just hates it seeing the supplies and fuel cost running my large fleet, raping has been a godsend to my tism needs.

Yeah me too. Even when I can afford to run a large fleet with cruisers and capitals, I still opt to use a frigate and destroyer fleet with maybe one or two cruisers at most.

i should add, even with good luck finding stations the odds of getting a pristine forge are still bad. it's easier to just steal one.

Thoughts?
>mayasuran supership
you mean the phase ship or something else?
He likely means the new one, the Vishnu-Class. It looks like a traditional naval ship with built-in triple barreled turrets.

This baby. It's nice, but ehhh I found myself falling back to my wingcom suite carriers.

II's gimp-ass Dwarf Yamato left me wanting
I'M IN AWE ON THE ABSOLUTE SIZE OF THESE TRIPLE LADS
those front turrets are too close togeather they could never rotate to point the other direction or point forward even if they are superfiring
It's probably the top-down limitation but conventional battleships have barbette or raised platform on varying height to allow main cannon to be mounted close together.
yeah what you depict is called superfiring and you see the back of the front turret would bump into the back one if thats how it was
Yeah, now I get your point.
>you mean the phase ship or something else?
How do you get that normally anyway?
IBB bounties?
i got a blueprint for the mayasura phase capital from somewhere
>Thinking of installing the UAF for my next run. Not for rape, but so I can invade and destroy their sector. Thoughts?
UAF is a shitty mary sue gaytion.
If you're not using RS or the breakers you're a troon,
I raped them all using a Nagato super cap that i found
I'm sorry, but Breakers are ugly. I can't stand the garish red engines.
Just don't use ships. Use only Anti-devil s-mod.
Fair enough. Thats plenty to convince me to finally install it.
Which supership?
The only million credit ship I know of is the consumable one that can turn an asteroid belt into an ultrarich mining planet.
It's not that hard. Their side systems are lightly defended and Lunamin is easy to break with a big enough fleet. The supercapital itself will only really fight if you attack the capital planet so you can save that one for last.
How feasible would it be to make this thing work as my flagship? I love the idea of a low-tech phase ship.
just wait for next patch and use the Gremlin with Antimatter SRM Launchers and Needlers, as your flagship it'll benefit from Wolfpack Tactics and you can run around being an obnoxiously tanky strike frigate.
what the frick, this is the best change in this patch. I've always wanted to make a Gremlin flagship work.
I once got ganked by a Hege fleet with about a dozen of these things on top of all their heavy armor bricks.
Holy shit were those things annoying and effective, I think the Yowie spam locked down and did more damage than all the other capitals and cruisers did.
here's your super ship bro
Unironically yes
hey this is my doom loadout except i use 6 blasters
doom makes better use of Antimatter SRMs and Resonator MRMs than it does Antimatter Blasters imo.

Sell me on Interstellar Imperium. Why do people like it so much and what does it do that other faction mods dont
It's have "Imperium" in it's name and Byzantine wine. Also, AI is legal.
Byzantine Rome IN SPAAAAACE
>Space Rome
>Ruled by three AI "Gods"
>All ships have special hullmods that change the way they are played, equipping one of the three gives them heavy as frick armor, long as hell range, or a form of pseudo Safety Overrides with emphasis on Close Quarters Battle
I assume I'm supposed to build in every armor hullmod I possibly can?
Yeah, its shield shunt for +30% accelerated timeflow. The Ristreza derivatives with forced overdrive can bully fleets of smaller ships but be careful fighting other caps.
bros I hate energy weapons, recommend me a mod.
Do you guys know any lesser known ship packs? I want to spice my game up again.
Pertinent Porait pack was made by someone on /vg/ and isn't on the Fractal forum.
Improve your reading comprehension please.
Missing Ships pack, which adds midline capitals, some super caps, and an assortment of smaller ships.
Make your own out of ships you like from whatever ship packs you've tried.
Arbworks if you haven't got it.
Arbworks is mostly broadside ships, and AI doesn't know how to handle them properly
Isnt ORA broadside as well? Maybe its possible to copy the AI over.
>All that asymmetry
>All those sideways hardpoints
He really likes his broadsides.
Sad to see how downhill this thread has gone. How did it go from onslaught posting to coomers circlejerking about forum drama?

What are roman space pirates
Having an edgy latin name does not make you roman, it makes you a tryhard.
If having a latin name is all you need, pic related is
>AI remnant but they're ROMAN
I'm not even a modder
yet I feel called out hard
Try edgy names in german instead, that tends to make idiots seethe.
>Roman names gets you shat on by anyone above the age of 12.
>German names gets you 'muh Nazi'.
Alright, hear me out: One of the Balkans languages.
Discordgays are clueless enough that they can make a pretty authentic Yugo faction and somehow think they've made nazis. How FPE even exists in the matter it does is truly baffling.
Try edgy names in Hebrew. You get a bit of biblical gravitas and nobody will dare criticize it.
In all fairness, I wouldn't want people that get filtered by a martial art named in german as readers. So it worked out.
all "Romans" throughout history since the fall of Rome were larpers and there's nothing stopping the Domain (or the company that create the ships) from larping as them
>Muh fall of rome!
Seriously though the fricking Legio Infernalis? Christ, it sounds like something a 14 year old would come up with.
>The empire continued to exist in the east even after the fall of Constantinople in 1453
That's be grekoid pathetic parody.
They spoke latin, they referred to themselves as romans, they followed roman laws, were ruled by a roman administrative stucture, and like the romans their greatest enemy was their own stupidity.
Cease with the germanic cope.
they spoke greek.
Proofs?
Koiné Greek was the most spoken language of the eastern Mediterranean for nearly 1600y
Are Interstellar Federation Refurbished ships any good? They look kind of interesting.
I've never tried their ships that much, but their weapons are pretty fun to frick around with, though they have limited munitions which isnt really an issue.
i usually run imperium just so their existence pisses off hegemonkeys
but the alliance name's always Titan's Fuel Guild, I hate it
more reason to kill the gas israelites and imperial larpers
hey buckbreaker anon I have some suggestions I'd like to make
1: make buckbreaker ships have a hidden 5% damage boost with weapons that have "breaker" in their name, or some variant of it. steal the code from kocksucker's manic miner mod or whatever, idc
The problem with interstellar imperium is that every ship they have is a phallus
I genuinely did not see that coming.
How did you get her?
You destroy her fleet and capture her.
hold hands with her a lot and unbreak her
Is...is that an option? I don't need her in my fleet, but i do like seeing all the dialogue.
based and veganal pilled
yeah, I may have gotten a bit carried away.
bro shes raw calm down
Yeah, they all said the same thing.
Are you just collecting rapewives?
im doing the same thing
>nanoforge janny not so smug after getting captured
You're not?
As long as the factions keep throwing their women at me, I will not stop raping.
Feel like there's an argument against females in the military here.
Jesus, your brig must smell terrible.
imagine the smell
also its not really rape anymore when shes so cooperative is it
shes more like your wife
there's no option to unbreak your bawds. the only way to hold hands with her is to do it from the beginning.
i'd like there to be one, maybe as a toggle, or SP point, where you fricking drug her with an amnesiac and throw her into an autodoc machine or something

my flagship is a cargo ship since i dont have enough points to get combat skills
I can't ever decide on a cool capital ship to use
>Honestly, there's an untapped market for lower powered factions on par with early pirates, derelicts, and pathers in the modding world anyway.
when you do this people complain that they feel lame
the masses want cheat ships
>when you do this people complain that they feel lame
Bet they're also the same people who'll b***h about buckbreakers too.
>Masses want cheat ships
Then they can get filtered like the plebs they are. The power creep circle jerk isn't fun. Getting fleetsizebyDP mod and cleaning up with a wall of mudskipper MK.IIs is however hilarious.
Frick it, at that point just win everything forever with console commands and kill anything with a few keystrokes that looks at you funny.
I like to have some challenge in my games, especially in early game micro level stuff.
>inb4 "but then no one will play your mod"

>Intolerant of those who do not bring benefit to society.
I'd edit that to 'Intolerant of those who they believe do not bring benefit to society' or something, just to insulate yourself against the idiot plebbitor who can't distinguish art from artist.
10/10 would add to sector in a heartbeat and forget they're not part of base game after 6 months.

Reread my post. I'm mocking people who want cheat ships by saying 'at that point just use console commands'.

They do look pretty cool, i hope he adds pilotable mechs to it
>Try to keep flux dissipation above weaponflux per second and shield upkeep if you don't do that already
this is absolutely awful advice, do not listen to this moron
I agree, for your own ship (and even AI ships) its more about having a good loadout rather then having it be flux efficient
Its "Burn Bright and Burn Hard"
Not "Burn under the recommended Tri-Tachyon limits for this hull type", what are you, gay?
you put too much trust in the AIs capability to not be completely moronic
you make shitty ships and blame the ai
says the man who goes over flux capacity and watches his officers eat shit since they have no concept of pushing their advantage to overload the enemy
>inb4 phase ship alpha strike with maxed out flux capacity
you're the one who has to handicap them because you're moronic. my ships work just fine.
post combat recording
yeah i'll get right on that, i'm sure you'll admit your homosexualry i jump to this hoop
However, it is good advice for a moron who can't even beat the sim. It's not optimal, but it works.
Well then, the solution to your woes is to just copy simulation ships and turn it into a 50% chance of winning.
I've been delaying playing the game for the past week
I'll play it soon..
"flux efficiency" just means being unable to really pour on the damage when you do get an opening. winning means turning 2v1s into 2v0s before the exposed ship can retreat
Gentlemen, how do we fix the Virtuous class Wunder Wanzer? It's just a piece of crap compared to other super ships. Or is it just my inherent bias for the Altagrave EX, which allows me to destroy pretty much anything?
Sorry bro the whole mod is shit compared to even vanilla equivalents. God help DA if you install any other mods.
In that case, it's time for me to put my two cents into the matter and fix it myself.
I would recommend just changing pandemonium to 15 FP cost, so you can field 10 at a time and still get angry that they are dying

That's the most disingenuous characterization I've ever seen, even /misc/ hasn't managed that.
The difference between the two is closer to the difference between absolute monarchy and centralized theocracy. They both agree on the same fundamental precepts and the same philosophical foundations, the primary disagreement is in methods, not in goals.
Meanwhile nazism and conservatism are fricking generations apart in their roots, drawing on entirely different schools of thought.
>They both agree on the same fundamental precepts

Yes, Conservatism largely does disagree with Hitler about the place of a woman in society. Thanks for outlining that.

here's the culprit, the vanilla version of that mission script is only 116 lines long, and you've got a problem on line 170
Anything I can do to fix this shit?
Or do I just edit mission thing to set it to 100% and just forget about it?
All I really want is to finish this thing so I can get the bonuses from the CUM mod
try searching your mod directory to see which mod is screwing it up and either disable the mod or rename that file, see if it helps
Nothing Personal is literally in vanilla tho?
mods shouldn't be modifying it in the first place
shouldn't, but the vanilla file is 116 lines plus a little whitespace, while he's getting a crash on line 170. something's fricked up.
So basically shit's haunted?
Frick
try appeasing the machine spirit. and remember, it is better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself.
Take a look at content unlocking missions. Here's line 170 of nothing personal:
Global.getCombatEngine().getCombatUI().addMessage(1, ship.getFleetMember(), Misc.getPositiveHighlightColor(), ship.getName(), Misc.getTextColor(), "", Global.getSettings().getColor("standardTextColor"), "is skilled in "+text);}
So what do I have to do to fix that shit?
Just disable the mod until I finish the mission?
Thinking of doing a TriTach run. What mods add some fun High Tech ships that stick with vanilla ship aesthetic?

Found the HTE fixed JAR file, so I'll definitely use that. Not a fan of Talhan because the ships look way too out of place.

its shit anyway since no soil nanites
There is building called Irradicator that can remove it. Also ammount of organic and normal ore is already great.
I don't understand the point of removing ores? If you build mining it will just be extra production for exports.
Are you bipolar? First you cry about how rare ore made planet useless, then you see no point to remove it.
I am not
Yes you are!
Soil nanites cannot be placed on planets with rare ores or volatiles

I edited planet condition gen data to stop high gravity condition from spawning on habitable worlds, my reasoning is that Chicomoztoc is huge ass planet but there is no high gravity on it. Also because I got sick of having nearly every habitable planet spawn with high gravity.

If I buy this should I go straight into modding or play vanilla first? The game seems very autistic with flashing huge numbers and battle mechanics.
Does it play like a 4x or is it like Mount & Blade in space?
vanilla fist 100%. It is already a vast game to get into before making it wider.
So where is the key? Do I need to spoil myself watching his video?
There are little to no spoilers in the vid, but if you don't wanna watch it before playing the game the key is at 17:19.
>little
thank you anyway
you do a vanilla run and then go nuts with factions, qol mods and nexerelin
It plays more like Mount&blade than any sorta 4X.
You start off as a small time starship captain with one or two ships and then get sent to the big world right off the bat.
Vanilla of course, has the answer to your question ever been yes? Of course not.
vanilla until you reach the point where your colonies pump millions and you just go "oh so what do i do now" then realise there is nothing to do and get into modding
Needing to store volatile is more than enough.
https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=21140.0

No. Interactions for named characters is after I do the officer personalities, and the first on the list is
Remember, it's gotta be hate sex, since canonically Sierra hates Midnight. Unless you're implementing digital mindbreak. My rocks can't get in the "off" position unless it adheres to the lore.
>Sierra hates Midnight
I can work with this, but really?
At least I think she does. Last I recall, when they interacted at Prism freeport, Sierra was pissed at her for being part of the domain tri-tach remnants, who imprisoned her int he first place? I'd have to go back and double-check. The only character I know that she gets along with is Alviss.
Iirc she just gets pissy because midnight said her using an avatar and actually speaking in entire sentences was inefficient
that tracks, sierra thinks she's a person, midnight doesn't give a shit.
If you can find a screenshot of this interaction, that would be good.
NTA but I think the interaction was removed at one point.
So Sierra would be like Jenny from MLAATR, while Midnight would be more like GLADOS. Their paizuri interactions would be quite interesting in contrast to eachother.

How has none of you managed the source BB+ 1.2c yet?
>Not even vanilla AI is anywhere near that deep lmao
vanilla AI is not driven by love
If I put my excess baggage on an abandoned space station, I won't lose anything right?
Yeah, they're completely safe.
Nice.
I just want to offload all these weapon parts and terraforming equipment.
Is there a mod to recolonize the station?
TASC? Sounds cool, I'll give it tr-
>mod author: Boggled
I don't know much about modding political scene, qrd?
Overblown drama because of some really bad apples here, make people say that even simple shit must be some kind of horrible crime.
Boggled have his mod check for update on his private server, and he look up on public table where the IP come from for his curiosity.
FYI: every website you'll connect to can do that.
okay boggled
>Boggled have his mod check for update on his private server
Why the frick did the homosexual integrate it into his terraforming mod? Why did he need to do that? He could easily have the mod checking for updates as its own separate thing and there likely would be far less controversy if he did it that way. Instead he chose to be a homosexual.
>he look up on public table where the IP come from for his curiosity
He isn't entitled to satisfying that curiousity. Frick off.
>every website you'll connect to can do that.
Non sequitur.
because he's a piece of shit. it's that simple.
note that he was also collecting the user's mod list, and obviously the timestamp when the user was starting the game.
>every website you'll connect to can do that.
Just because one can doesn't mean one should.
You could post your personal contact info here for everyone to see, but you shouldn't...
Harmful was the guy screeching the loudest about what Boggled did, so that tells me just how serious of a situation it was. That is to say, not very.
Alex has banned people for much less. If Boggled's actions were even a quarter as bad as people want to imply, he'd have been out on his ass.
>It's okay because someone no one likes had an issue with it.
Appeal to animosity - just because he's an unrelenting homosexual doesn't mean he's wrong.
>Banned people for less.
And?
"Less shit" != "not shit".
>If Boggled's actions were even a quarter as bad as people want to imply, he'd have been out on his ass.
Or maybe people have differences of opinion over how bad it is?
Moreover: why the frick are you running damage control for him?
>Alex has banned people for much less.
Alex's moderation practices are questionable at best and subject to popularity. He's banned people for quoting others and let the quotees off with a warning when they're the ones who said the shit.
I swear the discord must have dirt on him...
This was only added after the latter was publicly disclosed.
yeah, it's kinda funny in a way, imagine leaving your entire armanda on a leaky space station that's stated to be abbandoned and cannot support life, your 3000 crews and marines couldn't touch the food, the supplies and won't be getting paid too. What's more funny is that if you didn't pay your crew for 2 months an abandoned station could also be use as a place to them to desert you
One part of me wish there was some kind of gameplay for making your secret space haven.
The other part of me is god damn ok with being able to store stuff and even soldiers/crew for free.

Rename this thread to "Starsector General" because we make threads so quickly.
there's an indie general on /vg/, without games like Starsector and Mount and Blade this would just be Paradox the board (and sometime Age Of Empires)
We don't need 3 active starsector generals on the catalog to make this not a paradox board.
>Can't use Forced Overdrive with Shield Shunt
>Pic related is pretty fragile without the latter
Hmm. Not as fun as I thought it would be.
I see that Champion class Diable ship everywhere but can't find it in the mod?
It's from Buck Breakers, not Diable.
It's not that either. it's the original, standalone mod. It has different built-in weapons and more wing slots compared to the buckbreaker version. See
Where do I download that thing anyway?
I tried looking through the archived threads but all I could find were talks about the vanilla cruiser and some guy that wont shut up about how much he loves that thing but doesn't post any links for a download
theres like 3 variants of that ship and that one with 10 small slots is a massive waste
one of them has the better built in gun and way better missiles that replace the small slots
Isn't forced overdrive itself already a shield shunt?
just add heavy armor instead
WTF it's in perfect condition randomly floating through space.
>(P) stands for perfect
I used to love their ships but Ill advised modifications fricks me up more than once
luddic path has ill advised mods not pirates
pirate falcon has 2 missile slots as the only real difference iirc
I stand corrected
I think it also has a higher burn. Or at least it did at some point. I rarely use P ships. Most of them are just strictly worse.

Knowing the update is likely just around the corner makes the wait for it that much harder. Curse the slow update cycle for this game.
>more anti-fun shit for modders to fix
woo
depends, it would be tight if there's a mod that change the malus from s-mods into more bonus. At least he's improving modding in general

Don't use the mod with Nex.
This was my last modlist for my second run about two years ago.
I have been completely disconnected from the game and want to start a new one, so I'm asking what would you recommend?
nex + 20 faction mods + rapesector + buckbreakers
>buckbreakers
I could only find a mega link with a Sneed certification so I'm going to assume this is the one.
I just enjoyed the exploration and colony building a lot so I didn't need much of anything at the time.
There's way too many faction mods so I wanted to ask for some recommendations before blindly spinning the wheel.
I tried TASC before but I remember not really liking how it worked compared to DIY.
>I just enjoyed the exploration
I would recommed Adjusted Sector then
>Adjusted Sector
absolutely this
Looks great I'll give it a go.
I always pick normal.
This was the one I found from scouring the archives. Seems to be the same file than the downloads folder so I'll probably pin it for future updates. Thanks regardless.

anarchism is really the most cowardly strain of leftism, being so self-evidently impossible that they have little risk of ever having to put it into practice, and so inherently absurd that any attempt to do so can be trivially dismissed as "not true anarchism"

Pretty sure they're just commissions anon.
This community has a problem with putting moronic buttholes in positions of power. See: Soren not being driven out of town tied to a rail years ago, or the continued mass delusion that UAF is good.
>UAF is good
it is good for rapesector purposes just like iron shell and legio

But isn't that the UAF's Nia?
isnt that the uaf nia though?

it's just a prank bro
YOU'VE BEEN TOUCHED BY OMEGA
Oh. So your run is nearing it's end soon, huh?
:*~~*~~
Those particular ones that follow you will drain your speed, but you can also fire off an interdiction pulse to repel them. The ones that avoid you on sight create the fun slipstreams. And the ones that burn full speed at you, well you better start praying it doesn't catch up to you.
So what's the difference between regular and Group XIV ships?
XIV ships are slower but have more armor than regular ones.
XIV are FATTER
It vary between ships, the Legion for example get Large Missile mount instead of Large Ballistic.
>give the uaf nukes to an ai ship
>expect them to treat them like reapers and use them sparingly
>it fires them every single chance it gets
very cool
To be fair in this one specific case, the mod's tips warn you about this.
what does that tip say?
because my ship just fired a nuke at a group of strikecraft
use advancedgunnerycontrol and turn target fighters off
i don't remember, but it does warn you about not giving ai allies semibreves
I've never had UAF but are semibreves unlimited ammo or limited?
if its limited then I'll just stick to my omega missiles
unlimited with like a 200 second reload time per missile
Your shitters will fire that off as many times as they want then
If you want your AI controlled ships to use them in tactical situations it needs to have limited ammo
its got 4 launchers + expanded racks, missile skills and quickload racks
so its got 24 nukes and regens 4 nukes every 191 seconds
ive actually grown to love how quick it is to launch them because it has almost perfect aim
every time theres a large group of destroyers or cruisers it somehow manages to land a nuke directly in the center of all of them
but it has resulted in many friendly fire incidents including almost destroying itself multiple times
maybe turn down the bloom a bit

If it was fixed, there wouldn't be warnings.
why was rapesector developed? Im guessing to get back at UAF and other annoying modders who put anime girls in their mods?
Or maybe just because RS-anon was horny.
no
yes
Not RS dev but it was because we're horny. And the faux puritan modding homosexuals screech at the sight of anything sexual or right wing that got based mods deleted.
horny, anon, horny.
through dick, unity
>why was rapesector developed?
>Im guessing to get back at UAF and other annoying modders who put anime girls in their mods?
RS was basically developed for fun. When Noah and the UAF tragoons discovered you could capture their self-inserts they behaved like children and wanted their self-inserts to automatically run away from their responsibility after losing a battle. They did this by adding anti-capture code, which was easily circumvented.
They practically gave us the golden bullet to their seething. If they had just owned up to it they wouldn't have received any special attention.
>behaved like children
>run away from their responsibility
>If they had just owned up to it
subtle
About as subtle as you self-reporting that you're a sympathizer or at best a filthy forumite
Have sex.
>subtle
I dont think he was trying to be
>they did this by adding anti-capture code, which was easily circumvented.
based, you WILL get raped
No homie, we're horny! dumb fricks like you are just driven by spite, well people like rs anon just want to dick down space captains,
like everyone else has said, it more out of horniness then maliciousness.
Bros can I have some Starsector ship girls
This planet seems pretty good, but do I even bother with colonies?
For a Terran world, that's pretty bad tbh. You can take that and just put Farming and Mining on it. Once you feel like abandoning it, just give it autonomy if you're playing on Nex.
All planets I've found are pretty bad so far. I'll just keep looking.
i didnt find a single good planet during my first 2 playthroughs which was the reason i added mods
It's decent if you have thingy which add ruin archeology stuff. Other way it's have poor resouces You would better look for farming +1-+2 and other resources being basic or better. Not -1 on ore like there.
You definitely want to build a couple colonies to get fat passive income.
>Capital World Jenius is where I put all my ships and items
>Meshan is my volatile mining facility, and it doubles as a commerce market
>Cascadia and Aznable become twins Cascanable Ein and Cascanable Zwei, use them for things like void extraction or variable manufactories
>Raven becomes my outlier planet, has anything I don't already have on other planets
>Meshan
Doesn't that planet have a hazard rating of like 350%?
Can't help but think you might have been very lucky if "that nearest system" had everything you needed.
It's not always the case and without a source of Food the start is painful.
Of course you can always minmax money making, allowing you to buy the Food.
Also do I attempt this?
I don't have a capital ship yet.
you just need some good HE damage.
What's HE and how do I avoid command?
>What's HE
HE has no style nor grace. But this domain ship has a funny face.
You should be fine.
Ah I see, thanks.
HE is high explosive damage
for avoid press tab in combat, click on the ship and press the avoid button in the bottom left corner
*bottom right
just get behind it
What helps me clear it even with a small fleet is to put an Avoid command on the mothership.
You need HE damage but that's abt it
AAAAAAAA!
IRS and UAF inhospitable? Impossible!
they start at war in Nex
IRS gets dragged into it by Hegemony, but their individual relationship with UAF was always good in my runs. IRS votes to end war with UAF before casualties get too high.
How the frick do I even use Scy ships? I love them, they look cool, their weapons look cool, but I just can't wrap my tiny brain around them.
They've got huge flux caps but very shit vents, combined with their really high speed, you'll want to jump in, start blasting, then skedaddle once you hit maybe 75% flux. Don't try to armor tank, tissue paper's more protective than whatever they use for armor.
unless you're using one of their heavy armor ships like the nemean lion
The cruiser that's just one huge beam weapon is completely broken, and the AI are surprisingly good at using it.
Probably BECAUSE it's just one beam weapon, the fewer variables the ai has to deal with the less likely it is to frick up.
I think it's also because most of the time with a ship of that nature, as in one built-in weapon being its main feature, there's a charge up time between pressing fire and the weapon actually firing, like the Nevermore from Blackrock, or the Mimir from Shadowyards. The AI just can't fricking grasp this and they'll 'fire' the weapon only to move immediately after, thus sending the projectile shooting off into nothingness, or your own damn ships.
>there's a charge up time between pressing fire and the weapon actually firing
this also works the other way around where some weapons like the omega tachyon lance have a lingering hitbox so my own ships get hit when the ai turns the ship while still firing
idk, the AI absolutely knows how to wreck shit with Morpheus' plasma beam and that one requires you to overflux yourself to the limit for maximum damage
We did it lads.
now its time to take on the mothership's mother
Is the Reaper Torpedo the greatest weapon
In unmodded non-endgame tier weaponry?
Absolutely.
Although some would argue that neutron blaster is the greatest.
>piloting a morpheus
>activate phase suction system to suck up some plasma cannon shots
>turns out one of my ships fired a nuke at the same ship
>suck up the nuke
>cum green missiles all over the place

To think, Starsector faction mods went from this to whatever the frick the music is in UAF. Shameful.
is blackrock still abandoned?
and if so, is there still someone maintaining the mega who will update blackrock again for the next version of the game?
>is there still someone maintaining the mega who will update blackrock again for the next version of the game?
I'm not sure, but it's popular enough that someone should do it. This is why I'm keeping my current install as it is no matter what updates release.

everything about Blackrock is fricking excellent and I'm sad the mod is dead
It's no reason to weep
The mod is basically complete, and we can maintain it ourselves
Is it updated to the current version yet?
What are your guys' opinions on Machina Void Shipyard?
too many "literally just vanilla ship but" type hulls
Epta also suffers from this to a much lesser extent
their HMG equivalent is top notch tho
i use their ciws for point defense and sometimes that destroyer with harbinger ship system but it feels a bit too busted so i usually stop using it
Their ships are pretty vanilla-tier when it comes to stats n stuff. I do like that Binah ship though.
>Binah ship
post it
here you go
Hold on there's a Binah ship?
what kind of weapons do you gents throw on DA ships? their weapons kinda suck, UAF weapons are too strong and HVDs and maulers are boring?
Question for mod anons, how hard do you think it'd be for a anon who has never done modding, to make a high-tech cult faction that serves to as an early game threat, like the luddic path.
The hardest part would be sourcing sprites if you're willing to plunder code from vanilla and/or other mods
>plunder sprites
ANON NO, THE DISCORD MODDING CABAL WILL HEAR.
I didn't say to plunder sprites, just wholesale reusing unedited sprites is cringe
I said to plunder code
getting sprites that are semi-unique will be a challenge but as you suggested anon can always just plunder existing mods and shitbash his own stuff
i wish modders actually plundered sprites instead of being lazy and painting vanilla ones and calling it a day
carters free traders are the worst offender where they got almost all the vanilla ballistic weapons but slightly different colour making me double take all the time
im getting close to starting my own ship list at this point to take the one ship from them i want to use and deleting this piece of shit
I would very much enjoy a mod using plundered Carters/JYD sprites. I like the sprites but the mods themselves have completely fricked balance, unsurprisingly since they're from the Hivers guy.
I especially hate the unique ships with completely insane OP numbers that have the desc. "Flagship of so and so"
Also the JYD home system is just stupid busted
What you describe is the typical
Showroom vs Cathedral approach to modding.
Either the modder consider his work to be a self-consistent work of art.
Or the modder consider he is only doing his best to participate to a grand collective art.
I wish Starsector modders went for the Cathedral. I want vanilla-like ships and I want weapons pack that fit all.
Pic unrelated.
>modding cabal should have MORE say
yeah nah get fricked
NTA, but you know the cabal are usually the ones throwing a shitfit and screeching about muh copyright, right?
That anon is saying it in a fricking pretentious way, but he's basically just wishing for modders to not be so fricking posessive over their shit. Which isn't unreasonable I think.
Cathedral approaches breed that screeching because you underwrite a ‘guild secret’ mentality into the structure.
Showroom model has problems, sure, but one homosexual turning into a censorious frickstick is not one of them: people can just ignore them and go to the next booth.
no, that's not what he's saying at all.
no, you're advocating commitee design, which is exactly what the cabal amounts to. fricking moron.
You don't understand you brainwashed meme addict.
Showroom is literally what create those 'cabal' of egocentric modder, they all think their mod is awesome and will constantly try to one up each others and call 10pixel reuse stealing even as they fricking modder the game.
Cathedral approach require humility by default, there's not a single guy managing "weapon mod X" and catering to his laser-nuke gameplay, it would be several who discuss with each others to reach a compromise and make things modular so you can selectively disable X or Y.
>In a showroom free for all, what teeth does any given individual have that they can enforce their claim on their little 5px of ‘donut steel’?
None, that's why no one actually care about the drama queen not even other modder.
It take a LOT of effort to piss of a bunch of egocentric modder who usually wouldn't mind a nazi-faction their mod can fight, as long as the nazi-modder isn't trying to force his IRL propaganda down everyone's throat.
>Because cathedral implies they have a central body who can enforce that.
>no, you're advocating commitee design, which is exactly what the cabal amounts to.
Here a little something I saw posted a while ago:
http://wryemusings.com/Cathedral%20vs.%20Parlor.html
I make good point about how long cathedral mod can outlast the original modders
>also don't let Ganker brainwash you into thinking people working together = cabal
Also:
>2005
>Consider self-publishing vs. publishing house for books
>record label vs.
As I said:
>>I'm not saying you have to chose. Personally I'm just saying a cathedral approach would benefit Starsector and that is the opposite of a cabal the more people get involved.
You mean samegayging shit opinions and pretending they have mass popular support? Calling anyone who disagree with you samegay?
What I like with anonymity is only that it remove some social filter.
>You sure are 'from these parts' given how fast you've jumped to personal attack because I didn't fit the mold you are used to.
No, it's because of how you keep talking about yourself.
>Both can/do coexist and that's the point I'm correcting you on.
That is NOT the premise you were defending in
, where you argued that Showroom literally creates the situation everyone in here is assblasted about.
b***h me out for nitpicking all you like, but you cannot tell me my eyes are fricking lying to me about your own words.
At least now you've outed yourself as a fricking snake.
>Just making sure, you really should know that anon will turn into a fervent defender of IP laws the instant he think it could benefit him.
IP law isn't what's up for debate here and it's entirely unrelated to the topic of creating a fan mod for someone else's fricking project.
Stop moving the fricking goalposts to mask your points.
>"Just making sure"
What's the part of this sentence you didn't finish?
Go on, put voice to it. I wanna hear in your own words what the implication under this was.
Also:
>"You really should know"
Do you aim to be condescending, or does it just happen?
>What examples?
How about
? You know, this anon you replied to you directly?
>You mean samegayging shit opinions and pretending they have mass popular support? Calling anyone who disagree with you samegay?
You know there's ways to tell when homosexuals do this, right?
Moreover, it's just a way of trying to drum up appeal to popularity. Beyond being a logical fallacy, it's also real fricking flimsy because it presumes the anons in the thread care about popular support in the first place.
Oftentimes what you'll find is one gigaautist will dig his heels in and let out such an almighty REEEEE that jannies get involved.
>What I like with anonymity is only that it remove some social filter.
"I only like it when it benefits my curiosity"
Thanks for proving my point about your tourism status.
The tone may not have been conductive to good discussion but I consider that point still stand.
If you have a toxic modding community who think they have to gatekeep, that's showroom gone wrong for you.
Never heard of actual showroom being clubs of elitist snobs who decide what is allowed in?
Now if you are
you were clearly focused on it as a "choice"
>There's advantages and disadvantages to both, but
>[...]
>What I care about here is having either path cut off because someone arbitrarily decided for that 'we're all better off that way'.
So I covered it.
It's not a binary choice.
>What's the part of this sentence you didn't finish?
Wasn't it obvious? We are talking in metaphor, I'm just making sure we continue to ignore IP laws because of what you asked me to consider...
>self-publishing vs. publishing house for books
>record label vs. bandcamp
...have a very distinct dynamic from modding and it involve money.
>Do you aim to be condescending, or does it just happen?
IMHO probably the later but some of your accusation make me want to do the former.
>You know there's ways to tell when homosexuals do this, right?
Unreliable, time consuming ways, depending if the homosexual think he's too smart to be caught.
>How about
Same shit as TNO both Oskar and Panzer is hacks who barely do anything, whos best abilities is force other modders work crunch time + steal ideas, and then say it's they who did most of work.
Completely irrelevant to your bit about time you posted before him and that's like complaining Alex is mentioned more when StarSector is the work of 4 persons. It's childish at best so I ignore him.
>it presumes the anons in the thread care about popular support in the first place.
Social pressure still apply to anonymous board, just differently. The overconfidence that come from anonymity can be exploited to make someone accept shit opinions as long as the troll is good with repetitive patterns&memes.
>"I only like it when it benefits my curiosity"
>Thanks for proving my point about your tourism status.
Nice joke anon, as if you are in for deep reasons.
go back to the forums dumb fricking tourist
>Rimworld Vanilla Expended
Same shit as TNO both Oskar and Panzer is hacks who barely do anything, whos best abilities is force other modders work crunch time + steal ideas, and then say it's they who did most of work.
Creating a faction is rather easy if you just steal another modder's faction and replace the parts that need to be changed like starting system, blueprints, name and info and relations, etc. Obviously if you're planning to give them custom ships, its a lot more work, but I'm sure you already guessed that.
Does rapesector break the main quest to get the janus device?
No, it doesn't touch the main quest. Why do you ask?
The option to take the shuttle to meet the provsosk didn't appear when I thought it should, but it was fixed by restarting the game. Dumb of me to ask first without trying everything.
wondering what do some of these hullmods do....
can't find them anywhere in the mod files, and that sucks bigtime because the Abyss Gazer one just says ?????? in the statcard
you've got the classpath right there m8. looking at a phone book and asking "how do i get in touch with all these people"
I looked for it but they're nowhere in the mod .jar
How do I into gacha s-mods? The settings are convoluted, I just want all the random s-mods without any d-mods
like pic rel+putting it in TG mode above the settings in picrel
you also want to add yourself a FRICKTON story points and maybe edit the r/sr/ssr weights in the config file inside the .jar

>another dreadnought
UAF now has 4
sneedault-chuckoyan bros we gotta keep our lead on having more capital ships larger than battleships

I just began the Nex start that gives you Inky-Echo-Nightingale. Is there something I've got to do to begin the quest to get its ship or is it just pure exploration?
You already start with it, don't you? She's pretty much a vanilla AI core with unique skills IIRC
Oh, for some reason I thought there was a way to get the special ship you use in the mission to unlock her.
Oh, that's Sierra's ship! You can get the Voidwitch from the ??? system event in her questline.
>Take the time to get that shy captain from PAGSM
>mfw she's timid
Man, what a fricking waste.
Can't you just look inside your save file and change her personality to whatever you'd like anyways? That's what I do with timid shitters.
I ended up bumping her up to cautious and then throwing her into an academy to boost a bit higher.
What even are the right options? I thought getting her to cooperative and telling her that the choice was hers was the right way to go.
>What even are the right options? I thought getting her to cooperative and telling her that the choice was hers was the right way to go.
Weird. That's what I did and it worked. Did you back off the first time you asked?
She has to already be Steady for that to work.
Right, my bad. The question threw me off, because I did the same and she turned out Steady.
I backed off every time the option was given. I assume it's because I didn't get her to 100/100 and only to 87/100. But frick it, she's in the Academy now. The problem will fix itself.
Yeah it doesn't really matter gameplay-wise, but it's kinda nice not seeing her stutter all the time.
>chose the wrong dialogue options
RIP
pretty sure you can toss officers in the VIC genetic modification thing and change their personalities and other stuff
You can change her to either Cautious or Steady depending on your choices BTW
You can't just mind control her with story points to make her Reckless?
Can't you just Galatia Academy them instead (if you don't want to console it)?
I got other shit to spend SP on.
But why waste credits? SP is literally infinite
It's our canonical Omega powers

Dragon my nuts across your face, homosexual
TBF I haven't actually reached level cap in .95 yet. Just really getting back into Starsector so to me SP is a hot commodity. IDK how easy it is to get once I hit cap.

>SP is literally infinite
maybe, but im level 15 and all out and i need to install 31 more smods, elite 13 more officer skills and permanently install 7 more ai cores
where do i farm the exp most efficiently? even ordos are slow
try making your fleet as lean as possible, if you are fighting fleets lower than 3 star difficulty you will get shit xp.
Solo everything with a ziggurat full of omega weapons
if i wanted to cheese everything with a memeship i wouldnt need a pimped out fleet to start with
its a shame exp isnt based on the ships you commit to the fight instead of the relative fleet sizes on the campaign map
>i wouldnt need a pimped out fleet to start with
Exactly why you should always beeline for the zig and nuke it with console commands so you can use it to rule the entire sector or see it burned to radioactive ashes
i want to command a space fleet and grow attached to my officers and have cool stories when a specific ship does something badass in combat
>shame exp isnt based on ship commitment
pretty sure ruthless sector does that but it requires playing with the mod which is a mixed bag
Oh shit, I was fricked from the beginning then. The Legio blew up Ruka's fleet way in the early game when they took Cruor. She never stood a chance.

How autistic do you have to be to stalk a mod creator's social media to make sure their hobbies and interests align perfectly with yours
>How autistic do you have to be to stalk a mod creator's social media
You've got it backwards, how desperate do mod creators have to be to shill their social media for the attention.
So anyone here wanna help me fix Barghest Causality from Neutrino? The ship is classified as a phase ship, yet it doesn’t accept neither phase nor shield hullmods. It says it has a shield, but it doesn’t have any shields.
Nevermind, I got it fixed alongside the Ziggurat XIV. Now I’m trying to figure out how to not override the base game Ziggy’s motes with the XIV one’s orange motes.
>Ziggurat XIV

Must be my lucky day.
Also I scoured about 4-5 fringe sectors and got some 60 gamma cores, can I get my rep up to the big leagues with this if I turn them in to factions?
I've found so many derelict, salvageable Legions that I feel nothing when I see one
Same, i just salvage them for machinery and supplies.
>Must be my lucky day.

You must be new here.
In one game I found 3 Legions, one XIV in the 4 firsts system I explored early game.
The pic is even in this thread
named it, "It might replace by condor" to give an idea of what I was flying with at the time.

I like your style, add him directly to to RS.
Nia's bounty character is just a regular hegemony captain with Nia's portrait. The captain isn't unique, but the other parts of the bounty, like fleet and flagship variants, all depend on tahlan assets. Not gonna add tahlan as a dependency for rs lmao.
Just make Noah's character a hirable prostitute in a bar event.

Good, accelerate the destruction. It’s only a matter of time they proceed to pull out special scripts that completely prevent raping the unique characters, only to be overridden by Rsector and be assfricked again.
Don't forget:
>the evil 4chins cares more about preserving outdated mods, then the "caring" mod cabal
You guys even taught me how to modify mods, while those jerks would spit on me for daring to touch their little creations. How else will Diable be viable unless I buff their ships?
give me your buffed DA branch brother
It's nothing crazy. All I did was just give some ships extra OP, back to around pre-nerf levels.
>gave 25 OP to Pandemonium, decreased deployment cost to 40
>gave 25 OP to Maelstrom, decreased deployment cost to 65 (wtf was he thinking increasing it to 75, is he crazy)
>gave the wunder wanzer 25 OP
Right now, I'm unsure if I should also buff the weapons individually.
Also, I don't know what he was thinking by removing wanzer servicing gantry from the maelstrom, and then not giving it a single buff to compensate. You'd think the mod's second biggest battleship should be allowed to use their unique hullmod, but I guess that would've made too much sense.
Say, in the wing list, is the column named number supposed to be how many fighters in a wing?
Taking a random guess here, but I think this is what you're looking for.
From what I can gather that line is supposed to be on what "role" a given wing is suppose to be/do.The line afterwards is the description on what it is in game.

>piece of shit
Try filling it with wasps.
Are those the best fighters?
What?
>best fighters
I think I have a bunch of wasps on the abandoned terraforming station.
Going to start outfitting once i get back to the core systems.

stop raping Nia's female self-insert
Just deleted the # sign and checked, yep that's the one alright.
the more you learn about modding the more pathetic people who think they are hot shit for making mods become
In hindsight, I should've realized it sooner when I saw the "oversized hull" mod still in the code, when the changelog's first note is about how he removed it from the pandemonium.
Do I stand a chance against these c**ts?

I don't know, the brilliant just teleported behind my capitals and destroyed them.
Is there any tactic I should use?
fly at him backwards
Should be able to, just put an ignore command at the Capital at the start once spotted. Hunt down the smaller ships first to reduce the ECM penalty they give.
I tried to ignore the Radiant.
It just jumps on my ships and takes them out and the little ones just stay behind it.
>ignored the Radiant
Fricking why?
Because people told him to ignore it!
Oh yeah, Radiant's are one of the strongest ships in the game, modded or not. The amount of damage they can throw down range while their shields tank is insane. That Phase skimmer is a b***h too.
>those Hammerheads
