>temperature of the chip = temperature of the gripping area
lol
Starfield is 0fps on steam deck
we will see
Completely different games. Starfield's 30 fps is acceptable because of it's scale but BG3 is a turn-based CRPG with much smaller open-world zones and worse graphics (and I'm saying that as someone who thinks BG3 deserves to be GOTY)
>ith much smaller open-world zones
Lmao at this imbecile. Do you really think that the game is rendering the whole universe or something?
I remember seeing an interview, where Todd mentioned that they are still using skyboxes. When you land on the planet, the game just generates a big map, where your starting ship is at 0 0 coordinates, hence why there is no seamless landing and everything is done through the loading screen (cuteness). I guess it's the same reason why there are no land vehicles - the map has boundaries.

I feel like the only people who mention fps or specs or some other little thing is strictly a Ganker thing. I have never hear any one in real life care for these silly little arguments. BG3 looks good on console or pc or whatever. It's 2023, games look good.
you actually are as fricking moronic as i feared. id tell you to leave or have a nice day but god damn it i need to leave this place myself, there is no hope for the morons infesting it. thanks for reminding me Ganker of old is gone.
Those are standard temps for handhelds and laptops. Plastic is a pretty decent thermal insulator you know, you're not touching the scalding hot metal parts.
Now have the 2nd character go to the other side of the map.
That was the problem with the series S version, the FPS tanked when multiple characters ran across different parts of the map. The devs said it was important for players to be able to do completely different things like quests and battles on different sides of the map so they delayed it on the series S.
>implying quick resume does not shit the bed most of the time
I prefer Windblows over Proton frickery. Every day I read on Steam Deck forums how the latest Proton release fricked up their old games and they have to troubleshoot that shit. On PC, every game just works.
>On PC, every game just works.
Lmao at this lying windowsgay. Try playing some old games on windblows without patches. > latest Proton release
You can switch between different versions of proton, you know that?
>Try playing some old games on windblows without patches.
Why would I play a game without patches? Are you stupid? Most old games run just fun with some tweaks. And ALL recent games work, without exception.
>You can switch between different versions of proton, you know that?
Yes, love looking online every time I boot up a game to see what version of Proton this game prefers. So intuitive!
So it's not just works, eh? Not every old game is popular enough to warrant someone autistic enough to fix the game on modern hardware, so you are stuck with booting up virtual machines.

>80c
How do you even hold this fricking thing?
>30fps
Also, it can't run it.
starfield is 30 fps on xbox
Starfield is 0fps on steam deck
but it's 60fps on a TV without the console. ah, the irony
>sub 1080p
I'm good
At least you don't need oven mitts to play it.

why do you need zillion fps for turn based game?
Why do you need zillion fps for Starfield?
It's FPS
i don't, but it's real time first person shooting game so it would benefit on it more than baldurs gate i believe.
30fps is laggy

please tell me you are not actually this fricking stupid
If the core is 80c then the case itself must be getting pretty hot. The cores are not suspended in a vacuum.
you actually are as fricking moronic as i feared. id tell you to leave or have a nice day but god damn it i need to leave this place myself, there is no hope for the morons infesting it. thanks for reminding me Ganker of old is gone.
You realize that a 80C core means the system is expelling hot air that is above 60C? That's hotter than the air temperature on the Sahara.
Skill issue.
moron.
I just googled it and found many people complaining about the Steam Deck getting to hot to hold comfortably so I guess I'm not moronic after all.

i remember "gaming " on laptop which was heating up to 90c, keyboard was burning to touch, cant imagine playing handheld like this.

…why is that important?
It's on the verge of igniting lol. Imagine a portable system that is like a portable heater. And people actually pay money for this.
>all these manlets that can't handle a little heat
Was the stove too hot, tendies?
When everyone plays we all win, you incel Snoy chud!!!!!!
My PC chinkheld is at 69C system heat at 20W. I can barely hear the fans.
I do not miss the Steam Deck 15W experience at all.
>no quick resume

It works all the time. For new games, never an issue. For old games, you just apply the patch that is included in the torrent.
On Steam Deck, even modern games sometimes don't boot up.
>For old games, you just apply the patch that is included in the torrent.
What to do if there is no patch?
>
Can you link me such an example? I can't recall playing a PC game that didn't have some sort of W10-11 patch.
dual boot, play on win 7 or xp
The deck has a 720p screen and more VRAM.
>that temperature
>those FPS
Yeah, it runs it like shit lmao
How come this game runs like actually shit anyway, isn't it turn based, most the game is paused on a still screen
>30fps
>82C
>25v
>00:44 remaining on 51%
Yeah enjoy your 90 minutes of play time before it dies.
>what are plug sockets
>what are external battery packs
>playing handheld at home plugged to the wall
whats the point?
Well anon for a start your public transport should have plug sockets
Second 95% of you just play your deck in bed do not lie to me
What it can't do is fit the thing on its drive
PC/Deck doesn't have splitscreen.
