I can't tell if you're praising or insulting it, if it's a TPS with an XCOM theme, that's good. I like playing bad games from time to time.
I recommend Doom, FNV and Mirrors Edge (it was fine and short). Maybe get rid of Battlefront, since the singleplayer sucks and online is probably dead. Get the ORIGINAL SW Battlefront 2 maybe, Galactic Conquest was pretty fun when I played it.
I will spend twenty united states dollars on steam video games today. What should I buy, anonymous? Good games only please. I'm new to PC gaming so it's likely that I've never played the classics. Rec me anything and give me a (you).
Valve Complete Collection (For HL series, Portal and L4D2), Deus Ex, FEAR (Get the collection since it's the only way to get FEAR 1 and it's DLC. Worth it for that alone.), Quake, Fallout New Vegas, Postal 2, Dark messiah of Might and Magic, Max Payne 1+2, Hotline Miami 1+2.
If you didn't have an Xbox beforehand, get the Master Chief Collection too.
Jupiter hell is cool. If you've played DoomRL, you'll probably like it. Just a more polished version of that with some more depth for builds. I have not played any of these other games.
I bought it when it first came out because I remembered really liking it, but you really only need EO3. If you get all three like I did, then by the time you finish the first and start playing the second you will already be burnt out. From what I recall 3 is just better across the board. I would only get all three if you are autistic about having the whole collection.

Can I ask my questions as a list instead of a cart?
Can I start spellforce at 3? Is spellforce or WC3 the better hero RTS?
For shooter: Ass effect, necromunda, Crysis, or Cyberpunk
Final Fantasy VII remake or Star Ocean VI?
Is Conan exiles worth it without all that DLC?
pick wc3 1.22b pirated, reforged is utter fricking shit. >For shooter: Ass effect, necromunda, Crysis, or Cyberpunk
all garbage, pirate ass effect OG and crysis, they'll give you good hours of playtime and replayability. >Final Fantasy VII remake or Star Ocean VI?
what is prettier for you to look at? ubi towers 7 or star ocean VI? >Is Conan exiles worth it without all that DLC?
no, pirate it.
spell force is jank
conans dlc is cosmetic except for isle of siptah and lots of people don't care for the map that adds.
funny thing is that siptah was meant as a more pvp oriented map but it trivializes too much stuff and Black folk can't build under the terrain effectively.
Morrowind is good, but it's going to be hard to get into if you're expecting it to be like the newer games.
Wait and see if rollback ever actually releases for Samsho.
SF6 is good, and I like it way more than I expected to
SamSho is really fun but the online is ded, basically a discord fighter. they'll add better netcode in the future so mite b worth.
Kakarot is pretty whatever, if you really like DBZ you'll enjoy it i guess
Rivals is genuinely a great game but it's dominated by furgays
That honestly depends on how he likes playing his fighting games. SF6 is pretty great for a casual player (not saying it isn't good for people already into the genre, but it specifically has a lot of stuff to make it more fun for casual playing)
Been bored of SF6 50 hrs in, the roster is currently not that interesting and the single-player novelty wears off after a while. Been on XV for almost 300hrs and i'm still not sick of the gameplay and absurdly large roster.
It's awful.
Amputations, They/Them, only a mix of mutts as playable characters and the event organizers.
Even with all the dialoge turned off you have to wait for the fricking cinematics so often that i will rarely ever start a mission.
Lets not forget if you find a nice car its probably a ''carpass'' car which you will need to spend additional money for.
Get any other forza or racing game, the first hour of this game will make you want to killyourself
Anime game vs serious, both indie and AAA, western games.
I find that purchase bizarre because the people who play gritty western games hate the frick out of Japanese games.
>Anime game vs serious, both indie and AAA, western games.
Doom is not serious or gritty whatsoever, while Mary Skelter is actually gritty and serious. MS probably has a more fricked world and lore than any of those tbh, if that's the sole determining factor that we're going off. It doesn't really conflict and many people play both anime and western stuff. But obviously I was just memeing, and Doom is only one I would say is worse than Mary Skelter 2 objectively.
>I find that purchase bizarre because the people who play gritty western games hate the frick out of Japanese games.
I've liked Doom since I played it on my cousins PC back in the 90s. I've liked silly anime games since the original Disgaea was popular here back in the mid 00s.
Fun things are fun, and I had fun playing the original Mary Skelter.
What order do people generally check for best deals?
Steam -> GOG
GOG -> Steam
Steam -> GOG -> (a very few of you) EGS
GOG -> Steam -> (even fewer of you) EGS
It's not moronic not trusting something that can potentially be removed from your account by Valve.
There's zero guarantees on key sites, it's taking a gamble for a lower price, but there's always the chance that you'll end up paying for nothing.
Friendly reminder that when you recommend a game you're shilling it for free, you're doing the publisher's marketing department's work for no monetary compensation.
You are also doing the publisher's job by not recommending games, because every anon you don't recommend a good game to will be recommended a shit game from the marketing teams with the most money.
Yes, you are. Videogames and marketing in general all desperately fight over a finite resource (the customers, and the customer's time), so by not recommending games you are ceding ground to the AAA titles that will obviously dominate the market without competition. Leaving everything just to the algorithms and marketing of big companies will inevitably kill smaller companies and independent developers by pushing them out of the market, which is obviously the intention of marketing campaigns and thus you're just helping them out by not promoting products you endorse.
Not my problem. If the publisher behind the games I like can't market its products it's none of my concern.
Why should I give away my time for free? Why should I fight in the internet in the name of someone who won't pay me for that?
>Why should I give away my time for free? Why should I fight in the internet in the name of someone who won't pay me for that?
So how much are you getting paid right now?

As much as I would be paid by shilling someone else's product, but at least no one benefits from me.

>at least no one benefits from me.
People are benefiting from you not doing anything, anon. Marketers want the least amount of actual criticism of their titles and discussion of titles they don't profit from as possible to exist. The less the customers talk about things, the more they personally profit and the more the companies can destroy their competition so that there's less things to talk about overall. Everything that happens in a market affects the market as a whole to varying degrees, even individual actions and inactions.

No they aren't.
If I don't shill they don't benefit. As simple as that.

That's the thing: I don't. I just play the games and that's the end of it. If good (in my opinion) games stop being made, then I will just replay the ones I liked or will embrace a different hobby.
I won't work for free for someone else.

I don't. I browse these threads to see if a game I'm interested on is getting a discount and to get recommendations from the actual paid shills.
It has been years since the last time I talked about something I liked and I avoid the threads about games I'm playing and I happened to be playing.
>otherwise you're just a shill and a hypocrite.
I completely agree. Sometimes I get tempted to engage on conversation or recommend / defend from unfair criticism a game I like, but then I remember: >"you aren't being paid; that product isn't yours".

Uh I don't know, feels like aside from Senran (which I kind of just want to play out of curiosity), nothing has a really decent discount.
Maybe Tactics Ogre.
Senran Kagura is dogshit.
That shitpost that people use when they want to shit on action games as a whole by claiming they're just braindead button mashers where you the harder you mash the flashies the autocombos are? Senran Kagura is literally that played straight.

technically you can just use a trainer and unlock all the DLC
you need the DLC to use the DLC weapons which are often straight upgrades, and you need the DLC to host DLC heists
Payday 2 is shit though frick Overkill
>Onechanbara Z2 Chaos
One of the best character switching action games around. Every character is unique and has a lot of depth to them, there's a lot you can do with combat as result. Setting, music, characters, etc are all great.
>Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae
Vergil if he girl
>No fanservicey ones
Onechanbara Z2 Chaos and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae.
Already played both of them
I found Z2 Chaos to be very, very mediocre. Besides being a fanservicey game, you see glimpses of a decent combat system...that is wasted on zombies in a game that has as much budget as a sandwich.
Already played MKH; fun but the game being just a Bloody Palace mode made it kind of tedious by the end.
I think you'd struggle to find an action game like these with great enemies, even the posterboy DMC games barely have any, but I get your point. >Assault Spy I guess was kinda neat, though a bit awkward. >Onechanbara Origin improves a lot of things, but the gameplay is a lot less fun and imaginative.
My biggest criticism with One Origin is how short it is compared to Z2. It also lacks a lot of content and the PC port requires running an Android emulator alongside the game if you have an AMD GPU to fix the framerate.
Already played both.
Assault Spy was pretty good but it really showed how it was made by just one person.
I loved Origin's visual style, game itself was worse in some aspects than Z2.
Keep them coming. I did like the DMC games (sans 2 and DmC because I haven't played it yet).
not buying shit this season, only armored core 6 will be bought by me for christmas IF i get a gift card which i probably wont
this year sucked. i thought harry potter was gonna win but i guess best selling doesnt mean trangamers, not that i was a fan of the game i didnt even try it but i watched a lot of it and it was nothing but tradwifes and boomer tendies playing it.
zelda was disappointing didnt play it but i watched it
bg3 was disappointing didnt play it but i watched it
i watched nearly as much gaming as i gamed but i mostly just farmed teemo Player Diff and Plat not that any of you care but league is busted, some kind of european intelligence agency front. same with fortnite/cia and genshin/ssm.
did any of you really find new gameplay this year? i saw a few FOTMs that Ganker almost tricked me into buying but i stayed angry like Jack.
honor system. I would only recommend trading on approved trade sites like barter, but many of those guys are super fricking israelite resellers and will nickel and dime you to the best possible trade on their side. you can block any offers you get from the super israelitey ones (you should do your research so you know which ones they are) and try to only trade with normal people that don't make steam trading their life's work
Looks like too much work so I think I will just let it rot on my HB account.
And to be fair the game is one no one wants (the thing is 80% off right now even) so I would be the one trying to israelite the other person.
yeah, i don't disagree. i used to trade a lot, for quite a few years. it used to be fun, I could trade off my scraps for other scraps I wanted and sometimes I would find super traders that would trade full priced newly released games for the shit I had but they wanted gift links and only gift links. then I heard that humble bundle was banning people for giving away gift links to strangers so I stopped trading. i don't miss waiting around for hours for trades when the other guy is from europe and i'm in the us so our times never line up. i even just made another account and let my trade account just idle for card drops.
had a hankering for Age of Mythology, was waiting for retold but its been a year with no further news. Always heard good things about rise of nations but never really played it, played a shit ton of empire earth always thought they looked similar.
Never really played command and conquer beyond a small amount of generals at a friends house wanted to see what thats about too.
Aoe 3 dlc too cheap not to pick up. Just trying to round out my understanding of the RTS genre and it's history
You don't have to, but the next time you ever complain about vidya games being dead just think about how you actively encouraged and brought about that death yourself.
The campaign play itself isn't that good. The documentary stuff inside the campaigns is kinda neat, but mostly entry level knowledge stuff.
Multiplayer is pretty decent, netcode is good. It's AoE 2 with more dynamic civs that individually change the gameplay formula more than aoe2. Recently got dlc so the playercount is up and general attitude is positive
AOE4 is multiplayer-focused with token single player campaigns.
Think about it as buying Quake 3 Arena because you enjoyed the singleplayer on both Quake 1 and 2.

Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition >yikes, why would anyone care about this garbage
I had a friend who absolutely loved this game, and I played it.
I don't actually think it's bad, but there are far better games that do its style of gameplay much better, and it doesn't feel unique enough on its own to get me to care about it more than something else I could be playing.

Ys 1 and II is not that fun. It has this bump combat that isn't particular challenging except when it is. There is this one boss that you can only hurt for half a second when he takes human form. The rest of the fight he turns into a swarm of bats that chases you around and each bat does full damage on hit. You have to kite dozens of those frickers while running at full speed waiting for him to return back to human for half a second. The moment he starts to change you need to pull a 180 and run back hoping to get a single hit on him.

Is there a single decent OPEN WORLD SURVIVAL CRAFTING game? Especially one enjoyable alone. Don't care if it has been in Early Access for the past 5 years.
Dunno if your still here anon but for good ones id say Valheim, 7 Days to Die, and Conan Exiles.
Conan Exiles I got recently and been having alot of fun playing it solo worth checking out
Isle of Siptah is another map and worth getting. The other Conan DLC is essentially (but not really) just cosmetic replacements for endgame items and a handful of unique building pieces. Only worth it for building or roleplay autism.
Trying to get back into gaming since I never use my PC for gaming anymore, picked up a Steam Deck so I can lay in bed comfy. What games would any of you rec to someone who lost the spark for gaming and wants to try again on the deck? I played so much until about 2018ish. If the game is also part of this sale, then that is great too. Any advice is welcome, thanks fellow Black folk.
Based, I use my 'eck for bed time and commuting. Basically small games that you can pick up and put down are great for it. FTL, Slay the Spire, Bloodstained:RotN are all games I am played in bed in the last week.
What's the 'eck nomenclature? Out of the loop there, but have seen it tossed around for a few months since I came back to Ganker. Will look into slay the spire, thanks man.
I've mostly just been playing older PC stuff I never finished and emulating on mine.
Katamari Damacy PC port is comfy to play in bed, although maybe not worth it if you already played the original.
Good idea, I'll look over my old catalogue and see if anything looks fun. Emulating looks great since I'm interested in a couple gamecube games. I have one of those chinkheld miyoo mini plus things and it's neat but the only things I've actually beat on it are sword of mana and castlevania aria of sorrow. Katamari is fricking incredible, thanks for the idea.
the apostrophe is autistic homosexual speak for "deck". "dick on the deck" is a picture of a fat moron's small penis on his steam deck, and the "'eck" nomenclature has stuck around.
I've mostly just been playing older PC stuff I never finished and emulating on mine.

Short games and games with gameplay loops like roguelikes. Stay away from anything over 30 hours, although there will obviously be exceptions. Also avoid games that aren't completionist friendly that have a lot of missable content or expect multiple playthroughs to get to the good parts. Emulation is great, too.
diet armored core with easier combat and more anime
i liked it a lot but if you're a diehard /m/ homosexual you may not like it
Never played armored core actually.
I just remember when it first released on switch and how it looked interesting back then.
Would you recommend it as someone's first mech game?
yes but i would recommend to pirate first to see if mecha is even your genre
when it was new the general consensus of /m/ and Ganker was that it's a good game though nothing special but again some diehard homosexuals seethe extremely about it so if you think you might belong to that category look up videos or pirate first
>Last Hope
As far as I understand, everyone is really critical of it because of the previous entries. It's an OK JRPG. >Divine Force
Not worth the price from what I understand. Everyone seems to think it's either slightly worse or slightly better than Last Hope. >Second Story R
Just emulate the original >Elysium
No idea
Second Story R is really fricking good so it's an easy buy even when it's not on sale since the remake made an already great game even better.
You're better off just buying that, 1 on the Switch, and emulating 3 to get into the series, but beware that Second Story is the best the series has to offer in a single game
Good list. Can't speak to the quality of the remake, but as long as your expectations are tempered, you should enjoy The Last Hope and Devine Force.
That said, Valkyrie Elysium is garbage.
each random battle has a couple of seconds of loading screens, which i assume will be faster on PC. 2 seconds doesn't sound like much but it's slightly annoying and it adds up. also I play it in the handheld format so the screen is kinda small. nothing too serious i guess

to be clear, if you like this kind of JRPG it's fricking top tier regardless of the minor isses i mentioned. i've been playing it non stop with a smile on my face for 15 hours and will get plenty of mileage out of it before i'm finished

I don't fricking get it. I've even put 4 hours into it already and I still feel like I wasted my money.
Yes but when steam was forced to finally start giving out refunds they stopped doing them because obviously people would refund something if it wound up going on a flash sale.
Crystal Project
It is styled like SNES JRPG with platforming elements. The platforming can feel weird as frick and frustrating until you get used to it, but once you do it is amazing. The game is designed so that there is no one way to beat the game. Instead who creatively you use your platforming skills, and the secrets you unlock allow you to explore the game free form as you discover the different mobility enhancements and slowly uncover the world map. The combat itself is insanely cool as you discover the titular crystals to unlock classes and mix and match the various classes, subclass, and abilities to make builds that are uniquely yours.
I bought that game last month, and have put 133+ hours into it since then. For me personally it was a very fun game and I have been seriously considering learning how to make mods for the first time ever because of it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1637730/Crystal_Project/
What should I trim from my cart, looking to play these games on the deck. Gankernons should I drop crisis core to get remake or just replay ffx. I just finished ff7 recently so I wanted to check out more games in the series. Is dave the diver really a bad normalgay reddit game?
Final Fantasy VII is one of those works like Hokuto no Ken: the main work is good and all the spinoffs / pseudosequels are dogshit.
If you played the original FFVII, there is nothing else related to it worth your time.
Did you like Cold Steel 2? You might tolerate Cold Steel 4. If you didn't, jump ship now, 4 has the same gameplay as 3 but it is so fricking bad storywise I jumped ship and I'm never returning to this franchise ever. Trails might as well be dead to me. Daemon X Machina and Vanquish are pretty cool though.
CS4 is just if CS2 and 3 had a baby of its problems so be ready for that.
Reverie and Kuro will be a breath of fresh air if you make it through if that makes you feel any better
>Cold Steel + Hajimari
Mixed bags but if you're already in the series, might as well finish it and play Daybreak when it comes out >AstLibra
Soulful Indie game. I personally found it 6-8/10 at times but I can see why some people highly regard it.
Smaller cast, no curse bullshit, serviceable ost, fun gameplay. Story is better written too Just torrent and get the /vg/ patch
kuro 2 is pretty dogshit plot-wise with the time travel/no stakes but at least the characters gets some growth
You don't even need more than one Yakuza game. Get the one with Pocket Circuit and then go play Pocket Circuit.
Why don't they just make a Pocket Circuit game so you don't have to waste time skipping through a bunch of soap opera bullshit just to get to the actual game, Pocket Circuit.

If only.
Thanks to both the changes on regional pricing and the presidential elections I realized that Ganker is pretty much an Argentinian forum with a few Americans, Europeans, Indian and Latam posters here and there.
Argentina is using the USD now since the Argentinian Peso is so hyper inflated that printing the largest currency cost more than the actual value in peso.

In a real nation I would be considered a moron, but Argentina so lol
Steam has been pretty moronic with regional pricing for years in Brazil, especially when publishers decides to not include it in their games. Just an example, this is Inticreates latest game. Not the first time they've been doing this, and they've been receiving a lot of backlash for this shit since LAiX 2 and Gunvolt 3.
Because the story is shit. The writers are fricking hacks. 90% of Uta 2 is filler. Cooking and shopping with your harem that likes you for being an asinine butthole. Then story needs to happen so everyone acts out of character.
Uta 3 is just absolutely stupid. The story itself is moronic, then turns into filler and then you fight the same guy 27 times because if you kill your enemies, they win and it wasn't his final form yet, yet, yet, yet, yet, yet, yet, yet. The game itself even makes fun of this shit, picture related.
Also the combat drags out foreeeeeeever. Maps are 50 tiles in length and your character can move 3 every 20 turns.
Just the expansions, not the music and flavor packs.
There's two bundles with 9 of them (classics and new player), and then there's only 6 more, 1 of which is free. I already had the base game.
>Thread immediately derails into Argentinian politics
See what I'm saying? I think I'm going to make a thread for the few anons who aren't Argentinians.
MK1's port is bad. Netcode is worse than 11's, missing features that where in 11, lots of bugs, balance is really wack when it comes to Kameos. I hear it has less singleplayer content than 11 as well.
Any decent turn based JRPGs or TRPGs on sale? Something with an engaging story would be a plus I kinda want to get one of the Disgaea titles, but I got 1 years ago and the PC port was really buggy.
I looked at the forums and people with AMD graphic cards like me were the one's mostly having issues. Is 4 or 5 a good jumping in point for someone new?
You can jump into Disgaea anywhere since the stories are not connected outside of a few in jokes and references. 1 and 2 were the best and it went down hill from there.
yes don't listen to the homosexual above
4 and 5 are the strongest games, 1 and 2 are good but may be too dated, 6 is too experimental so all the mixed reviews and 7 is nice. 3 is shit and is not on steam anyway
Never played any of them. I figured I'd get a bundle since they're rarely on sale. But I should probably heed your advice and start with a single one to see if I actually like it.
I wouldn't call them a mistake, but the X games are really good at filtering people. They're the kind of game where you learn best by jumping in and screwing around because otherwise there's so much stuff that you could spend 12 hours watching a video tutorial and not cover everything. The learning curve at the very start is pretty steep as well, but it's not insurmountable. Finally, you need to be able to set long term goals for yourself because the games' plots don't do that (except for an infamous one in X3:TC which is frankly insane).
I figured since you are Russian you would already have played Jagged Alliance 1+2.
Mostly it just comes down to the developers made a lot of changes to the JA 2 formula and the style of characterization established in 1. The game feels like a completely separate game that flayed JA and crawled inside its skin. The changes don't really improve anything, but they don't really take away from the experience.
Lost Branch only has 3/5ths (or one Black for my American friends) worth of the promised content out and they are involved in a lot of twitter drama right now with people threatening lawsuits and sending cease and desist orders. I would wait until (if) they release the full version before buying.
Oh, they have wiped almost everything on twitter and now their website is down. Yeah, I would not buy Lost Branch unless you are okay with just getting 3/5ths of a game.
Ishin is a full experience, even with the questionable choices made, while Gaiden is a condensed Yakuza experience that was originally meant to be DLC. I enjoyed Gaiden and paid full price, but Ishin is a better value.
All I got so far
I may or may not add onto it but my backlog's pretty full as it is. Might drop Into the Breach since I don't really know anything about it
Suggest me some relatively cheap games where you can't just pirate or you can pirate but can't get access to all the experience that way. Stuff that are like below 25$.
Was actually eyeing Riders Republic, TWW3 and maybe some fast paced shooter that's not TItanfall 2 (already have it and played it to death)
saw the reviews for class of 09, seems like something up my alley. I'm mostly looking for games for steam deck, maybe a VR game if theres something I missed (beat saber is on my list but that never goes on sale).
Bloodstained is great. Fantastic metroidvania by the man Iga himself.
Metal Slug is perennially fun
Mechanicus is okay, but really short. The best part about it is the soundtrack which is amazing.
I haven't played it, but a friend of mine in real life is a vtuber online and they said that it was the first time in a long time I they haven't hated their job since the game was actually fun. Granted she usually has to play minecraft since that is what the zoomers like, but Pizza Tower was fun for both them and their audience.
ive been playing ghostwire recently got it on humble i dont even know when finally downloaded it a few days ago. Its alright the gameplay is actually shit to be honest but the lore and mythology is dope the amount of spirits you need to collect is moronic though waaaaay worse than any assass-cred game tbh.
overall at this moment a 4/10 gameplay 8/10 lore/story
Steam's reviews are just wonky as frick. 15 recent reviews means all it takes is one or two to knock the rating down
It's a great game but most people just used it to cope with the lack of Armored Core. Now that we have 6 people can't help but compare it to AC
older games don't necessarily work well as newer OSs come out. typically the publisher doesn't give a shit because it's a super old game, and Steam doesn't give a shit.
GOG generally tries to make sure things will still function for older games on modern systems. I've only found one exception to this before (Icewind Dale 2 can see some issues, and while you can locate the file it needs to make it work as it's not provided anymore by default on windows, it also doesn't come with the GOG package).
It's not always quite as simple, though. It's no longer the case because they finally updated Fallout 3 on Steam, but for the longest time they refused to remove Games For Windows Live on the Steam version of FO3 for whatever reason, even though the service was dead. While you could eventually get it to bypass it with some work, it was annoying.
I'm gonna be honest, I said all that before I looked at the actual cost.
After checking, if I didn't already have them... I'd pick up the Steam version here, just because you get all of them for cheaper than you can get them on GOG at the moment by a pretty substantial amount.
I'd just check the reviews if people have been having any recent problems with them, I recall reading issues with Windows 10 for the first F.E.A.R. on Steam, but I don't have that version myself so can't confirm.
just bought >otxo >dishonored dlc
not pictured >mass effect 3 on EA for modding purposes
2024 i will finally finish me3
i don't see what the difference would be on gog
fear 1 worked fine on steam with basic ini tweaking and the fps fix from pcgamingwiki. fyi you also have to place the fps fix file in the expansion's install folder for it to work too.
perseus mandate got the savegame corruption bug and i had to dl a complete save to finish it. https://savegame.pro/pc-f-e-a-r-extraction-point-savegame/ bookmark this link now just in case. the first download i tried was an exe that was sus as hell. >Should I get all of them though?
1 and it's two expansions are the only real fear games imo. 2 was consolized but might be worth it on sale.
perseus mandate is the real sequel to 1, feels like a proper second half

i played them this year on w10. basically no os related issues, just check pcgamingwiki entry
1 is such a great fricking game, you're gonna love it.
I see, thank you I'm a baby.
Going by your reply it's safe to assume the woke franchise nu-star wars and nu-lego haven't invaded our safe video game space yet.
Everyone praises System Shock but holy shit does it get repetitive after the first 5 or 6 hours. You're also expected to keep track of a bunch of information so you either need notes or a guide (don't).
Honestly 3 is the most fun by todays standards. 2 was nice for its time but its so outdated at this point and 3 is just bigger and has more stuff, more explosions, wing suit, the ability to fly, all kinds of cool toys from the expansions. Get 3 complete and blow shit up.
Skyrim is fricking terrible for magic. Morrowind is way better to play as a wizard.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are really good for wizardry as well, especially BG2 since it's high level D&D.
Do any of you guys have experience with the Anno games?
I want some comfy city building and like their ascetic, don't want the futuristic one but there's still a few to choose from. Should I just pick 1800? I could do either the industrial era game or the one that looks more victorian.
Any games that are only sold on Steam? because I bet if they sell them in other shops I'm pretty sure they will go eventually into a bundle, I hate that I bought Friends vs Friends at launch and now is less than a dolar in other sites
>Age of Empires 2 DE is on sale for supercheap >same with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (star wars version of AOE2) >a lot of people like Supreme Commander (but I don't) >Ground Control 1 and 2 are both $1 each, GC1 is more of RTT than RTS but GC2 is a straight up RTS >C&C3 is pretty cheap, but it comes with a warning that the singleplayer campaign balance got fricked by multiplayer-focused patches. Still good for skirmishes though. >Company of Heroes gameplay kicks ass if you're not turned off by the historical setting >Zero-K is indie as frick, but it's free and plays kind of like a fever dream version of SupCom

Not sure about Nocturne at that price. It's dishonest marketing to call it a "remaster" so you're basically just buying a normal PS2 game (that can be emulated pretty flawlessly already) for twenty bucks
>the older Tales games
fwiw, different teams put out very different games throughout the series, although I'll just assume you mostly mean Yoshito Higuchi's.
Can anyone recommend some good roguelikelikelikes? Preferably soemthing with a decent amount of strategy.
in case this information is useful: My favorite is FTL. Nuclear throne is alright, didn't like gungeon, ror2 is trash, ror1/returns is alright, couldn't get into dead cells, StS is decent but tedious.
Couldn't really get into it. When it comes to traditional roguelikes I mostly stick to brogue
There's a bunch of less tedious StS-likes, I guess. Chrono Ark, Monster Train, Overdungeon, Neoverse, Night of The Full Moon, etc. Kind of a really broad category if you basically just specify "game has random elements to it" and not much else anon.
>Kind of a really broad category
Yeah that's fair. I'm just really craving some randomized games with some strategy/character building.

Sigma 1 is legitimately great and almost on par with Black. Sigma 2 is significantly less fun than NG2 and while NG3RE is way better than the original it's still not worth playing.
I'd recommend either playing the games on xbox or emulating if possible. Either that or just pirate the collection, shit's not even on sale.
Any good indie or double a wrpg with unique or less used setting like jade empire or alpha protocol? I don't mind jank as long as it isn't game breaking.
Need games I can get up and walk away from at a moments notice and nothing bad happens. Turn based or very easy to pause. New kid so often have to run to help. I like strategy and rpgs
Just bought RE Revelations 2 which is at an all time low. Had my eyes on that for a while.
Might swap out Driver Parallel Lines. Any suggestions for old/janky gems?

Extra question: Is BF1 worth it just for singleplayer?
I can't tell if you're praising or insulting it, if it's a TPS with an XCOM theme, that's good. I like playing bad games from time to time.
I recommend Doom, FNV and Mirrors Edge (it was fine and short). Maybe get rid of Battlefront, since the singleplayer sucks and online is probably dead. Get the ORIGINAL SW Battlefront 2 maybe, Galactic Conquest was pretty fun when I played it.
>FEAR (Get the collection since it's the only way to get FEAR 1 and it's DLC. Worth it for that alone.)
NO YOU SHOULD NOT. Last i remember GOG let's you buy the first game by itself.
question: Is BF1 worth it just for singleplayer?
No, but online is pretty good

newbie
Everytime
Vp is on steam??
What to prioritize? What else would you recommend?
Is my cart so bad that no one can even say anything about the games or recommend anything?
I've never heard of any of those. ExZeus looks kinda kewl.
6 bucks for gta4 is pretty epic. I might also buy dark souls 2. What do you homies think about that?
Jupiter hell is cool. If you've played DoomRL, you'll probably like it. Just a more polished version of that with some more depth for builds. I have not played any of these other games.
Thinking about picking up etrian oddysey collection since 45 bucks is closer to what it's actually worth.
I bought it when it first came out because I remembered really liking it, but you really only need EO3. If you get all three like I did, then by the time you finish the first and start playing the second you will already be burnt out. From what I recall 3 is just better across the board. I would only get all three if you are autistic about having the whole collection.
I will spend twenty united states dollars on steam video games today. What should I buy, anonymous? Good games only please. I'm new to PC gaming so it's likely that I've never played the classics. Rec me anything and give me a (you).
Mirror's Edge, Doom, and New Vegas are good. I'd get the DLC for NV too.
I'd drop Battlefront.
Buy DLCs for New Vegas.
Dont buy first battlefront lol it doesnt have offline mode and online is literally dead youre buying nothing basically
Battlefront 2 Classic is on sale for 5 bucks.
Damn that's good value.
is fallout:nv 1st person only? ive never played a fallout game and for $8 i think its an ok price
Is Conan exiles worth it without all that DLC?
spell force is jank
conans dlc is cosmetic except for isle of siptah and lots of people don't care for the map that adds.
pick wc3 1.22b pirated, reforged is utter fricking shit.
>Is Conan exiles worth it without all that DLC?
no, pirate it.
funny thing is that siptah was meant as a more pvp oriented map but it trivializes too much stuff and Black folk can't build under the terrain effectively.
Bit iffy on the atelier games ignore the fact that it says i already own them. Also a bit on a fighting game kick recently even though i suck at them.
BRC sucks, Ryza sucks, you don't need this many fighting games at once.
>you don't need this many fighting games at once.
Poorgay detected.
Holy shit man get a grip
Morrowind is good, but it's going to be hard to get into if you're expecting it to be like the newer games.
Wait and see if rollback ever actually releases for Samsho.
SF6 is good, and I like it way more than I expected to
SamSho is really fun but the online is ded, basically a discord fighter. they'll add better netcode in the future so mite b worth.
Kakarot is pretty whatever, if you really like DBZ you'll enjoy it i guess
Rivals is genuinely a great game but it's dominated by furgays
Dead Estate is alright-ish except the jumping system is horrendous. Comfy Newgrounds era art and music althougheverbeit.
Morrowind is like 3.50 on the microsoft store
Pretty sure it is free on GoG. If it isn't free right now just wait like a week and it will be again.
You should get Kofxv instead of sf6
That honestly depends on how he likes playing his fighting games. SF6 is pretty great for a casual player (not saying it isn't good for people already into the genre, but it specifically has a lot of stuff to make it more fun for casual playing)
Been bored of SF6 50 hrs in, the roster is currently not that interesting and the single-player novelty wears off after a while. Been on XV for almost 300hrs and i'm still not sick of the gameplay and absurdly large roster.
Convince me to buy single player games. I can always just pirate. Why do you buy single player games? Just to support the dev?
Support the dev, track playtime, make use of cloud saves, get superficial bullshit like achievements and cards/badges, not break the law
>Cyberpunk is still fricking $55 on sale

Isn't that for the expansion as well? It came out under 2 months ago.
Yeah, its for both the DLC and Base game
That's a steal you moron.

how are you seeing it as free? it shows as 50% off on gog when i look at it

Surely Forza 5 can't be fricking worth 50 dollarydoos right?

Frostpunk is okay and UnderRail is great, but you should kys for the other two.
Given your other purchases, are you sure about Mary Skelter 2?
I had the original on the Vita and from what I remember I enjoyed it.
Why wouldn't he be, it's the best game there?
Underrail is there so no.
You misspelled Doom
By the way, if you played the first game, play the second, then the remake included to skip to the new post-game content.
Left half bad right half good.
how did i do? Anything else I should get?
>fidget spinner rpg
are you buying that cart as a gag gift?
Still no elden ring
What order do people generally check for best deals?
Steam -> GOG
GOG -> Steam
Steam -> GOG -> (a very few of you) EGS
GOG -> Steam -> (even fewer of you) EGS
Buy on GOG if available
If not steam
If not pirate/emulate
No it's more like Steam > Key sites
>manually checking
lol
I don't trust key sites
You're moronic then.
Valve has been revoking the Lies of P's keys bought from key sites.
must be buying off some dog shit site.
It's not moronic not trusting something that can potentially be removed from your account by Valve.
There's zero guarantees on key sites, it's taking a gamble for a lower price, but there's always the chance that you'll end up paying for nothing.
I think ITAD only display keysites that are authorized by Valve.
IsThereAnyDeal, GG.deals
>Buy old games on GOG
>New shit on Steam
New shit on Steam is usually fricking busted
Is it free (GOG)? Say no more
Is it under 10GB? Yarr Harr!
Over 10GB or has online features? -> Steam
DLC? Smoke, Scream, or Cream
rough translation what my comrade told me
Isthereanydeal. If it's not on Steam, GoG, or even Uplay, I don't bother. I'm not installing Tim's chinkware.
Friendly reminder that when you recommend a game you're shilling it for free, you're doing the publisher's marketing department's work for no monetary compensation.
They're not doing it for free.
Valve marketing. It's been a known thing on Ganker for ages.
My non shill recc is every game that comes out is kinda shit these days.
You are also doing the publisher's job by not recommending games, because every anon you don't recommend a good game to will be recommended a shit game from the marketing teams with the most money.
No you aren't and people buying shit games doesn't concern you.
>People are benefiting from you not doing anything, anon.
No they aren't.
If I don't shill they don't benefit. As simple as that.
You don't have to, but the next time you ever complain about vidya games being dead just think about how you actively encouraged and brought about that death yourself.
>you ever complain about vidya games being dead
That's the thing: I don't. I just play the games and that's the end of it. If good (in my opinion) games stop being made, then I will just replay the ones I liked or will embrace a different hobby.
I won't work for free for someone else.
Alright, but I expect you never to talk about the games you consider good at all otherwise you're just a shill and a hypocrite.
>Alright, but I expect you never to talk about the games you consider good at all
Sometimes I get tempted to engage on conversation or recommend / defend from unfair criticism a game I like, but then I remember:
>"you aren't being paid; that product isn't yours".
cringe
Imagine supporting the work of actual shills in consuming entertainment filled with their propaganda and helping along their ideology
Promoting and defending a commercial product you have no direct affiliation to is cringeworthy; I know better than being an useful idiot.
Forgot to add, what if the games I like are propaganda and ideology-filed ones?
Wouldn't my refusal to promote them a good thing, the right thing to do?
Uh I don't know, feels like aside from Senran (which I kind of just want to play out of curiosity), nothing has a really decent discount.
Maybe Tactics Ogre.
Senran Kagura is dogshit.
That shitpost that people use when they want to shit on action games as a whole by claiming they're just braindead button mashers where you the harder you mash the flashies the autocombos are? Senran Kagura is literally that played straight.
Chained Echoes has hints of a great game in it, but feels really amateurish.
No compres weas con denuvo aweonao
Hi-Fi Rush and Astlibra are good, but if you're on the fence, might as well just wait for better discounts.
Bit off but the diablo2 remake is 14 euro on battle net. Is that good? Can I play co op with my friends?
Looking for any information/opinions on the following:
Astrox Imperium
Core Keeper
Slasher Keep
KeeperRL
Songs of Conquest
For the Warp
Magicka SOLO
Underrail WITHOUT expansions
Elderand
Princess & Conquest
Fabular
Warlockracy's Underrail video is pretty good. It is the reason I got the game this sale since he is pretty consitently right about CRPGs.
I don't think Magicka is worth it without co-op
Recommend some indie gaems to someone who has never played a single one
Highly recommend Scavenger SV-4.
I also enjoyed Necronator even though I typically find reverse TD boring
is insurgency sandstorm good?
Still wondering
Rate?
There's only shit on sale, is Signalis worth 14 Eurobucks?
signalis good
Is 14 yuros worth two Big Macs? Cause that is how much I would be willing to pay for Signalis.
Haven't had any MacD's for some time, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Big Mac is a tenner now.
To be honest I haven't either and the price of everything is getting out of control. I wouldn't pay more than ten burgerbux for Signalis
House Party with coom DLC a decent coom time? I get a lot out of autistic delusions with Chatbots.
House Party is decent for everything except the porn.
I shit you not.
Scenerio's are just fine with me if the naked bodies/thrusting are shit. I plug a lot of weird fricking shit into chatbots.
>tfw devs just forget their game exists

Is Payday 2 good without the DLC?
I remember seeing it for $.99 before. Want something to play with my friends.
it's ok but it's 50x better with the legacy collection
You're going to play it less than 5 times and forget about it forever after that. It's also kind of barebones without the dlc.
technically you can just use a trainer and unlock all the DLC
you need the DLC to use the DLC weapons which are often straight upgrades, and you need the DLC to host DLC heists
Payday 2 is shit though frick Overkill
You only need the dlc to host dlc maps. You can join dlc maps others hosted or at least that's how it used to be. I haven't played in a while
There's nothing to get
Recommend me action games; obscure / indie ones. I already played the big name ones and I want to try less known ones.
No fanservicey ones like Valkyrie Drive, Senran or Crymachina; those suck.
>Crymachina
>fanservicey
Huh????
In that scenario the yuri is the fanservice.
My biggest criticism would be the gameplay personally, but I digress.
>the PC port requires running an Android emulator alongside the game if you have an AMD GPU to fix the framerate.
What the frick?
I'm not kidding.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1232460/discussions/0/2986411348896220176/
Already played both.
Assault Spy was pretty good but it really showed how it was made by just one person.
I loved Origin's visual style, game itself was worse in some aspects than Z2.
Keep them coming. I did like the DMC games (sans 2 and DmC because I haven't played it yet).
Jesus Christ is Mahou Arms STILL IN EARLY FRICKING ACCESS
What do we think, Ganker?
I replaced Halo Infinite with Spiderman because that shit is dead and I don’t like Far Cry style outpost shit.
spider man is a one of those AAA cutscene games. It's okay to play, but not much else. Just pirate it.
Like QTE stuff?
Something I might accept if it means something mindless I can boot, mess around, and take screenshots in.
Yes. Stuff like the car chases are all QTE.
Any good games with character creation?
Hi-Fi Rush is kino, played it on Gamepass through and waiting until cheap it buy it for a re-play.
not buying shit this season, only armored core 6 will be bought by me for christmas IF i get a gift card which i probably wont
this year sucked. i thought harry potter was gonna win but i guess best selling doesnt mean trangamers, not that i was a fan of the game i didnt even try it but i watched a lot of it and it was nothing but tradwifes and boomer tendies playing it.
zelda was disappointing didnt play it but i watched it
bg3 was disappointing didnt play it but i watched it
i watched nearly as much gaming as i gamed but i mostly just farmed teemo Player Diff and Plat not that any of you care but league is busted, some kind of european intelligence agency front. same with fortnite/cia and genshin/ssm.
did any of you really find new gameplay this year? i saw a few FOTMs that Ganker almost tricked me into buying but i stayed angry like Jack.

honor system.
And to be fair the game is one no one wants (the thing is 80% off right now even) so I would be the one trying to israelite the other person.
yeah, i don't disagree. i used to trade a lot, for quite a few years. it used to be fun, I could trade off my scraps for other scraps I wanted and sometimes I would find super traders that would trade full priced newly released games for the shit I had but they wanted gift links and only gift links. then I heard that humble bundle was banning people for giving away gift links to strangers so I stopped trading. i don't miss waiting around for hours for trades when the other guy is from europe and i'm in the us so our times never line up. i even just made another account and let my trade account just idle for card drops.
brehs...
It's definitely worth playing if you haven't
Holy shit these are bad sales. First time in a long time I'm not buying a single thing.
Not bad. Think I'll pick up some of these.
I can vouch for Infra at that price.
How fun is Age of Empires 4? Is it still a comfy single player experience like 2?
had a hankering for Age of Mythology, was waiting for retold but its been a year with no further news.
Think about it as buying Quake 3 Arena because you enjoyed the singleplayer on both Quake 1 and 2.
lol no
Not unless you like History Channel tier documentaries. You don't play them, you watch them.
feeling tempted
ACM is definitely fun if you like xianxia/cultivation settings, plays a bit like rimworld essentially
How is AoE 4?
>bank froze my card cuz I was buying games individually 1 by 1 and did it too many times in one day
Kek well that's one way to get me to stop consooming
Doom (2016)

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition
STAR OCEAN™ - THE LAST HOPE™
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning
The Surge
GOD EATER 2 Rage Burst
These are just some of the games that have hit historically new lows. Use steamdb if you want to see all of them.
>Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition
yikes, why would anyone care about this garbage, shit is so bad it is already selling for bargain bin prices on PC even if sony are being israelites with the rest of their games.
its wokeshit who cares
Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition
>yikes, why would anyone care about this garbage
I had a friend who absolutely loved this game, and I played it.
I don't actually think it's bad, but there are far better games that do its style of gameplay much better, and it doesn't feel unique enough on its own to get me to care about it more than something else I could be playing.
What are some good steam h-games?
just get them on f95zone
I will buy nothing, haven't played through my backlog and need no new games.
I only have $20 to spend is there anything good on my wishlist?
Maybe Noita but that's about it
>Demon Turf
>Noita
>Rakuen if you like sad games
The original Underwater Ray Romano is okay, but I don't know what changes they made to the remake.
I played it, it's basically just an upgrade all round unless you really want the sex scenes.
moon is apparently good
>utawarerumono
if you like vn, might as well get the bundle when it's on sale
why the FRICK is dark souls 3 and sekiro still $30?
Ask Bandai.
I bought Sekiro for 10 bucks in my local store. Box didn't even come with a disc - Just a steam key.
hmm, buying physical could be a good idea
i expect games to be cheaper the longer i wait to buy them, which is the case for most non-nintendo games
>still not having those 6-7 year old games by this point
>Dark Souls
Bought DS1 PTDE for €7 a year or two after it came out, SotFS for ~€10. Bamco is becoming scummy with pricing and Denuvo.
>Sekiro
Fully single player and there is only one play style so you either hate it or love it once it clicks. Personally think it's From's worst so I'd recommend sailing for it before buying.
Same reason why Nintendo games don't go on sale
It's time to finally try out the other Falcom franchise
Ys 1 and II is not that fun. It has this bump combat that isn't particular challenging except when it is. There is this one boss that you can only hurt for half a second when he takes human form. The rest of the fight he turns into a swarm of bats that chases you around and each bat does full damage on hit. You have to kite dozens of those frickers while running at full speed waiting for him to return back to human for half a second. The moment he starts to change you need to pull a 180 and run back hoping to get a single hit on him.
Just frustrating bullshit.
>Ys 1 and II is not that fun.
it's the only YS games that don't suck balls
Well then Ys games suck lol. I got Chronicles from a friend and it just wasn't my thing.
they likely do because i honestly tried but anything other than 1+2 is just awful
grim
My favorite part about that boss is that you're already max level when you fight him, so you have no choice but to git gud
>nayuta
never played
>ys 7
Was my shit when I was 11 but I remember it being slow
>felghana
My favorite in the series and also the hardest, but it has linear level design
>origin
Almost as good as felghana and does everything the same except also has more playable characters
>1 and 2
Epic games with a controversial combat system
>BONUS
>ark
Much worse bosses than origin and felghana but it has the best dungeons
Forgot to add these 2
I heard celceta was bad but I haven't played anything post-7
Celceta is so fricking shit it doesn't have an ending. Just avoid it and play Dawn of Ys instead.
This man is unironically mentally ill, he goes to the Falcom general on /vg/ daily and does nothing but complaing about Celceta and bring up Dawn of Ys
Ignore him, he is unstable and will snap easily
Man, what's with series and games getting schizos so obnoxious people recognize them at a glance?
Enjoy anon. Wish I could play through felghana for the first time again. Fricking banger of a game and soundtrack
Quit paying for roms. All of them are emulatable. Even Nayuta got a fan translation.
Is there a single decent OPEN WORLD SURVIVAL CRAFTING game? Especially one enjoyable alone. Don't care if it has been in Early Access for the past 5 years.
Valheim?
That's a good one, but I bought it years ago.
Zomboid, The Long Dark.
more like zoomerboid and the long zoom
Dunno if your still here anon but for good ones id say Valheim, 7 Days to Die, and Conan Exiles.
Conan Exiles I got recently and been having alot of fun playing it solo worth checking out
>Conan Exiles
Any DLCs I should pick up, or I should just ignore (or pirate) them?
"dick on the deck" is a picture of a fat moron's small penis on his steam deck, and the "'eck" nomenclature has stuck around.
fricking lol, thanks for the info. Saw the exact pic you're talking about on /pol/.
>What's the 'eck nomenclature?
It's a 'arty thing, don't worry about it.
I've mostly just been playing older PC stuff I never finished and emulating on mine.
Katamari Damacy PC port is comfy to play in bed, although maybe not worth it if you already played the original.
Short games and games with gameplay loops like roguelikes. Stay away from anything over 30 hours, although there will obviously be exceptions. Also avoid games that aren't completionist friendly that have a lot of missable content or expect multiple playthroughs to get to the good parts. Emulation is great, too.
Loop Hero is a good one. It is a roguelike built around a literal gameplay loop. Very simple yet satisfying.
well what do you like to play
Emulators
Rockman EXE
rune factory
dave the diver
vampire survivor
Replace Vampìre with Holocure
just wait till the Christmas sale. everything will be at least 10% cheaper
Doubt all the EA slop will be cheaper - It's already 90/95% off
>everything will be at least 10% cheaper
Well that's not true tbf, for example i doubt anyone here has seen RDR2 go higher than 67% off.
How is this?
I played it on Switch a long time ago and couldn't get into it.
Why not anon?
Never played armored core actually.
I just remember when it first released on switch and how it looked interesting back then.
Would you recommend it as someone's first mech game?
yes but i would recommend to pirate first to see if mecha is even your genre
when it was new the general consensus of /m/ and Ganker was that it's a good game though nothing special but again some diehard homosexuals seethe extremely about it so if you think you might belong to that category look up videos or pirate first
Does /m/ ever not seethe?
the general was pretty nice while it lasted
>Why not anon?
idk man, it just didn't click with me after 2 hours, maybe i'll pick it up again in the future
diet armored core with easier combat and more anime
i liked it a lot but if you're a diehard /m/ homosexual you may not like it
Really concerned about some of these being "MIXED" reviews.
weeaboo
>Last Hope
As far as I understand, everyone is really critical of it because of the previous entries. It's an OK JRPG.
>Divine Force
Not worth the price from what I understand. Everyone seems to think it's either slightly worse or slightly better than Last Hope.
>Second Story R
Just emulate the original
>Elysium
No idea
Just get SO2R when it's on sale. It's considered the best Star Ocean game. 4 is one of the worst and 6 is somewhere in the middle.
Second Story R is really fricking good so it's an easy buy even when it's not on sale since the remake made an already great game even better.
You're better off just buying that, 1 on the Switch, and emulating 3 to get into the series, but beware that Second Story is the best the series has to offer in a single game
>Star Ocean Second Story R
You missed out on getting it for 22% off from GMG
I'm missing out on getting First Departure R for Switch because SE sucks this black friday
Good list. Can't speak to the quality of the remake, but as long as your expectations are tempered, you should enjoy The Last Hope and Devine Force.
That said, Valkyrie Elysium is garbage.
Valkyrie Elysium is excellent; like Wanted:Dead it got mixed scores because it filtered casuals.
second story R is great.
i got it on switch but i'd imagine it's even better on PC. it comes with denuvo bullshit on PC so just be aware of that
Even better......how?
How fricked is Switch version?
30fps and long load times
>long load times
Having beaten the game, I have no idea what this is referring to.
It's fine, you can play either demo for a comparison. PC version has higher frame rate options and lighting effects.
each random battle has a couple of seconds of loading screens, which i assume will be faster on PC. 2 seconds doesn't sound like much but it's slightly annoying and it adds up. also I play it in the handheld format so the screen is kinda small. nothing too serious i guess
to be clear, if you like this kind of JRPG it's fricking top tier regardless of the minor isses i mentioned. i've been playing it non stop with a smile on my face for 15 hours and will get plenty of mileage out of it before i'm finished
>buy game at 90% off for $3.99
>instantly regret and freak out knowing I'll never financially recover from this purchase
>spend more than that on a cup of coffee every day
I don't fricking get it. I've even put 4 hours into it already and I still feel like I wasted my money.
Fallout just for the coomermods.
What do you anons think should I drop the crysis trilogy? I've never played them before.
why even bother with crysis? It was a generic ass shooter only famous for extreme graphic overengineering (for that time)
How is this looking?
made me check
>he posted the meme cart
>but this time without the $5 coupon
BRAVO homosexual
>this cart has been being posted for so long that nearly half the games are actually on Steam now
Did there used to be flash sales on steam or am I imagining things
Like, pre-2014 or so
they were removed because people b***hed about how "unfair" it was if they missed them, so now you have shittier average discounts to balance it out
Yes but when steam was forced to finally start giving out refunds they stopped doing them because obviously people would refund something if it wound up going on a flash sale.
do you get a badge with the sale even without buying shit
who gives a frick about some stupid badge
>elden ring isn't discounted
you greedy frick
recommend me indies
CrossCode.
Laika

Katana Zero
death road to canada
What should I trim from my cart, looking to play these games on the deck. Gankernons should I drop crisis core to get remake or just replay ffx. I just finished ff7 recently so I wanted to check out more games in the series. Is dave the diver really a bad normalgay reddit game?
Final Fantasy VII is one of those works like Hokuto no Ken: the main work is good and all the spinoffs / pseudosequels are dogshit.
If you played the original FFVII, there is nothing else related to it worth your time.
Dave is pretty meh, not bad but nothing special
holy shit, Paradox is so fricking greedy. these Black folk barely discounted any of their year 2 trash DLCs at all.
>not buying the main game and pirating every dlc
what the fugg anon
cs rin ru is your friend buddy
Need your opinion, fellow weeb bros
Did you like Cold Steel 2? You might tolerate Cold Steel 4. If you didn't, jump ship now, 4 has the same gameplay as 3 but it is so fricking bad storywise I jumped ship and I'm never returning to this franchise ever. Trails might as well be dead to me. Daemon X Machina and Vanquish are pretty cool though.
Kuro 1 and 2 was pretty decent. Smaller cast of character + better writing in the first, not the second one made it more enjoyable than CS
I'm almost done with CS3 and not finishing the last games just feel like sunken cost at this point, even though CS2 let me down so hard
CS4 is just if CS2 and 3 had a baby of its problems so be ready for that.
Reverie and Kuro will be a breath of fresh air if you make it through if that makes you feel any better
>Cold Steel + Hajimari
Mixed bags but if you're already in the series, might as well finish it and play Daybreak when it comes out
>AstLibra
Soulful Indie game. I personally found it 6-8/10 at times but I can see why some people highly regard it.
Is Daybreak better in terms of story? Cold Steel's story is the most intolerable shit I've ever seen in a Falcom series.
Smaller cast, no curse bullshit, serviceable ost, fun gameplay. Story is better written too Just torrent and get the /vg/ patch
kuro 2 is pretty dogshit plot-wise with the time travel/no stakes but at least the characters gets some growth
vanquish is kino
Vanquish and Astlibra are good
>no armored core sale
reee
First Steam sale?
From Software games don't get on sale until at least one and a half years after release.
Is Stellaris worth getting into?
The Talos Principle is $3. Even an Argentinian could afford that. Everyone who doesn't have it already should pick it up.
is there anything on sale that might cure my autism?
I'm stopping with these. Still need to buy stuff from black friday
That's way too many Yakuza games to play all at once.
A few months ago there was a bundle with every Yakuza title for $20
it's good enough, I already had yakuza 0. I wanted wingman since I also got AC7 (standard version) from a previous sale.
after seeing the hauls here i realized that this board is full of nerds and neets its hilarious
yeah homie where do you think you are
>full of nerds and neets
If only.
Thanks to both the changes on regional pricing and the presidential elections I realized that Ganker is pretty much an Argentinian forum with a few Americans, Europeans, Indian and Latam posters here and there.
most of the hauls are priced in USD
Because the Steam Argentinian store uses USD now.
Did you miss the dozens of threads b***hing about it yesterday and the day before?
nah i got a life
which is exactly what argentine has to pay in for now
Argentina is using the USD now since the Argentinian Peso is so hyper inflated that printing the largest currency cost more than the actual value in peso.
oh thats because of their new neo nazi president right? didnt know it took effect today
>their
You meant "our"
>neo nazi
>bending over for the USA
do you even think
>new neo nazi president
Milei is an Anachro Libertarian and literally israeli lol
i was just trying to emphazises that he has a lot of very conservative ideas akin to a neo nazi
Ok this is just premium political bait, have a (You) I guess
He doesn't want to conserve anything. Just because he is anti-communist does not mean he is conservative in the slighest. He is completely shameless about wanting to gut the country for his own profit and the benefit of Israel, but Argentina is filled with morons and all you have to do is use internet memes and talk about anime to be handed control of the country.
ur smart bud ( no sarcasm)
In a real nation I would be considered a moron, but Argentina so lol
>ukraine and israel lover
>neo nazi
>not on sale
>but the rest of Shiravune's VNs are
Frick off
The series is very good but the pricing is genuinely atrocious
Steam has been pretty moronic with regional pricing for years in Brazil, especially when publishers decides to not include it in their games. Just an example, this is Inticreates latest game. Not the first time they've been doing this, and they've been receiving a lot of backlash for this shit since LAiX 2 and Gunvolt 3.
>not on sale
Uta is shit though. Steam is just trying to help you.
>Uta is shit though.
Why?
I gave into Paradox's shitty monetization scheme and bought all the expansion packs for Cities: Skylines for like $90.
I regret nothing.
>bought all the expansion packs for Cities: Skylines for like $90.
Fricking how?
Just the expansions, not the music and flavor packs.
There's two bundles with 9 of them (classics and new player), and then there's only 6 more, 1 of which is free. I already had the base game.
I'm considering this for Stellaris right now. $150 is a lot to ask when the base experience is barebones as shit.
use creamapi
>On a 54% discount it's still 173 dollars in my country
Well, good luck with your sales Paradox. Maybe I'll try to pirate it later, but probably not.
Just switch your region to Argentina! ....oh wait.
>Thread immediately derails into Argentinian politics
See what I'm saying? I think I'm going to make a thread for the few anons who aren't Argentinians.
Tell me not to buy MK1 for 36€. Why is it so bad?
Please anons. I am reaching my limit. I want this game only because I'm horny for the characters.
MK1's port is bad. Netcode is worse than 11's, missing features that where in 11, lots of bugs, balance is really wack when it comes to Kameos. I hear it has less singleplayer content than 11 as well.
lol MK characters don't even look hot. Get KOF or an anime fighter for that
Any decent turn based JRPGs or TRPGs on sale? Something with an engaging story would be a plus I kinda want to get one of the Disgaea titles, but I got 1 years ago and the PC port was really buggy.
that's like an issue with just specific games, 7 works great for me
makai kingdom is also on sale
I looked at the forums and people with AMD graphic cards like me were the one's mostly having issues. Is 4 or 5 a good jumping in point for someone new?
You can jump into Disgaea anywhere since the stories are not connected outside of a few in jokes and references. 1 and 2 were the best and it went down hill from there.
yes don't listen to the homosexual above
4 and 5 are the strongest games, 1 and 2 are good but may be too dated, 6 is too experimental so all the mixed reviews and 7 is nice. 3 is shit and is not on steam anyway
Any major mistakes here?
Atelier games. Unless you really are into that franchise.
I actually already familiar with the mechanics since I played Reunion back in the day.
Then you'll love them unconditionally except Farnham's Legacy which has a very specific style of play it wants you to do, but it's free so whatever
which of these from the wishlist would you rec?
:DDD
Also if you are Russian you should know JA3 isn't that good.
i am not familiar with why JA3 is or isn't good
I figured since you are Russian you would already have played Jagged Alliance 1+2.
Mostly it just comes down to the developers made a lot of changes to the JA 2 formula and the style of characterization established in 1. The game feels like a completely separate game that flayed JA and crawled inside its skin. The changes don't really improve anything, but they don't really take away from the experience.
Make a thread 1 week from now and tell me if flip witch is good
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1748620/FlipWitch__Forbidden_Sex_Hex/
Does this run on deck? Looking for some fun stuff to play on the train
are key sites just the meta these days? This sale fricking sucks and all the sales from the past 5 years have sucked.
Probably wont buy everything here, but anything specific that I should cut?
Signalis is a LGBT work so it's up to you.
>LGB
I'd prefer it be straight, but it's whatever if the game is good.
>TQ+
eww gross
In xer defense, it's just standard yurishit that you can find in any other piece of japanese media
And that makes it acceptable...how?
Because it's girl on girl between two hot women, it's a fetish that a lot of straight people enjoy.
Don't respond to schizos, mate
In reality hating gays is normal and pounding your dick to porn shit all day is for the mentally ill. Go outside and touch grass incel.
I've only played like a hour or two and it just seems to be yuri bait.
cut that marvel shit
I hate marvel but apparently its slay the spire meets xcom which seems pretty nice.
What else should I get
a life, and also ishin
Which is better?
Ishin is more worthwhile especially at that price. The switch to UE4 kind of sucks because UE4 is a shit engine, but whatever. Gaiden's very short.
Ishin is a full experience, even with the questionable choices made, while Gaiden is a condensed Yakuza experience that was originally meant to be DLC. I enjoyed Gaiden and paid full price, but Ishin is a better value.
Trying to decide between Destroy All Humans and High on Life
destroy all humans easily
Destroy All Humans is better, I don't mind Rick and Morty humor but I don't really like it. DAH has better gameplay either way.
>he's still trying
is kakarot good? seeing the entire package for 48$
What are some good visual novel deals?
Noita
best coomer games under 30$? Looking at picking one or two up with my haul
All I got so far
I may or may not add onto it but my backlog's pretty full as it is. Might drop Into the Breach since I don't really know anything about it
Breach is well worth it, I'm debating buying it because I can't be bothered to setup my deck to play GoG games even though I own it there.
Into the Breach is stellar.
I'm mostly looking for games for steam deck, maybe a VR game if theres something I missed (beat saber is on my list but that never goes on sale).
pro skater remake bangs don't let these morons tell you otherwise.
still a lot of money for a 2 hour meme "vn"
2 hours per game, or for both? If I get 4 hours out of it yeah I can see how it's still too much but if its 2 hours total no thanks.
thoughts on this one?
I have 100$ right now but on this batch I only plan to spend 50$ at first
what goes in and out?
heard mechanicus got better
Bloodstained is great. Fantastic metroidvania by the man Iga himself.
Metal Slug is perennially fun
Mechanicus is okay, but really short. The best part about it is the soundtrack which is amazing.
what about pizza tower
i know it's a bit of a meme game but im legit curious
I haven't played it, but a friend of mine in real life is a vtuber online and they said that it was the first time in a long time I they haven't hated their job since the game was actually fun. Granted she usually has to play minecraft since that is what the zoomers like, but Pizza Tower was fun for both them and their audience.
no good coop games 0/10
It's time for the autumn sale already? Man...
yeah but i don't feel like making another username/password combo
What are the odds that Persona 5 gets a bigger discount at Christmas? Also, how's Ghostwire Tokyo?
Ghostwire is decent and pretty at times
near the end, you get tired of the game
but the free school DLC is kino
worth 20 bux
ive been playing ghostwire recently got it on humble i dont even know when finally downloaded it a few days ago. Its alright the gameplay is actually shit to be honest but the lore and mythology is dope the amount of spirits you need to collect is moronic though waaaaay worse than any assass-cred game tbh.
overall at this moment a 4/10 gameplay 8/10 lore/story
ok rakshit, but I'd rather not, oh and I'm redeeming the steam gift card
Why the frick would he be Indian if Epic is partially owned by China?
Don't care
Steam not gonna reward you for loyalty
Don't care
ok rakshit, but you already have epic shit store thread, why not promote your garbage there, oh and I'm redeeming another steam gift card
You are a better deal and you refuse to take it out of blind loyalty
rakshit, you should really improve your english lingua skills, stop embarrassing yourself, oh and I'm redeeming another steam gift card

Been a while since I tried the demo. What's the verdict on the full game? What's right/wrong with it?
Now that we have Armored Core 6, there really isn't a point anymore
It's a good game.
It simply ended being a better game and a better Armored Core than Armored Core 6 so From fanboys reviewbombed it.
i came buckets from the cyborg body modification
Steam's reviews are just wonky as frick. 15 recent reviews means all it takes is one or two to knock the rating down
It's a great game but most people just used it to cope with the lack of Armored Core. Now that we have 6 people can't help but compare it to AC
getting some pc classics i've missed out on.
should i really only get the first F.E.A.R or is the entire collection worth it?
>pc classics
>steam
...why?
?
older games don't necessarily work well as newer OSs come out. typically the publisher doesn't give a shit because it's a super old game, and Steam doesn't give a shit.
GOG generally tries to make sure things will still function for older games on modern systems. I've only found one exception to this before (Icewind Dale 2 can see some issues, and while you can locate the file it needs to make it work as it's not provided anymore by default on windows, it also doesn't come with the GOG package).
More modern games, Steam is the way to go.
GOG uses community made mods to get the games working. You can just use those mods on the Steam version
GOG never needed it.
So I should get F.E.A.R on GOG. Got it.
Should I get all of them though?
I'm gonna be honest, I said all that before I looked at the actual cost.
After checking, if I didn't already have them... I'd pick up the Steam version here, just because you get all of them for cheaper than you can get them on GOG at the moment by a pretty substantial amount.
I'd just check the reviews if people have been having any recent problems with them, I recall reading issues with Windows 10 for the first F.E.A.R. on Steam, but I don't have that version myself so can't confirm.
just bought
>otxo
>dishonored dlc
not pictured
>mass effect 3 on EA for modding purposes
2 was consolized but might be worth it on sale.
perseus mandate is the real sequel to 1, feels like a proper second half
forgot to mention
i played them this year on w10. basically no os related issues, just check pcgamingwiki entry
1 is such a great fricking game, you're gonna love it.
This is a blatant advertising thread. Mods do your job
rate my sloppa bros
>Lego Star Wars
>Deathloop
>unironically buying lego game
other than that, good list. I recommend fight knight. Rate mine.
It's fine, he's only buying it ironically.
qrd
what's so bad about them?
Other than it being made for actual babies, nothing. Enjoy your game.
I see, thank you I'm a baby.
Going by your reply it's safe to assume the woke franchise nu-star wars and nu-lego haven't invaded our safe video game space yet.
Everyone praises System Shock but holy shit does it get repetitive after the first 5 or 6 hours. You're also expected to keep track of a bunch of information so you either need notes or a guide (don't).
if you're buying that aoe2 dlc there's might be an aoe2 specific bundle thatll save you a small amount. check the aoe2 page
>LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga
>Deathloop
What a way to ruin an otherwise decent cart
Lego Star Wars is good. Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga isn't.
Anything I should cut?
i disliked hylics, it's cringe
just fyi
Wow there are ALOT of deals here!
Why we dont all go buy games on Epic Games Store right now?
very organic thread...
>anon thinks this is a gotcha
oh no, i complained about shill threads more than once, fellow not the first post from this IP poster
Thank you for the free games Mr Newell. Here, buy yourself some soup.
need some trimming
help me out, anons
unironically everything but bloodstain(which still kinda sucks) and killer 7 delete everything else
damn, everything? most of these looked pretty interesting to me
he's being moronic
what would you suggest, anon?
Well personally I loved Rain World, although it isn't for everybody.
it seems kinda unique so I think it'll be worth checking out, thanks for your input
>q.u.q
anon please
thought it'd be like milk, which I enjoyed
Not him. q.u.q. is nothing like milk but it's great in its own way. Probably my favorite VN. Also great soundtrack.
it barely costs anything anyway, looking forward to playing this
cut sifu, it's gay
2.50 bucks for killer 7? not bad if anyone hasnt played it.
haven't played any of the SUDA51 games. What would you say is a good starting point?
Killer 7 is probably the best. There is also killer is dead, its a good game for 2 bucks. More than worth the money for killer 7 though.
management/strategy recommendations? i like stuff like two point hospital and project highrise.
r8 and jerk off, it's all like 2 to 4 bucks cheaper than steam when converted into tacos
Inscryption was pretty good. Liked Act 1 better than the rest of the game, but the rest is still fun.
40 bucks right here.
Is there anything for < 20 that's a indie and is a must play Ganker gem on sell rn?
good choice with shadow of war. i loved that game and there just isn't anything else like it out there.
>Just Cause 4
Black person, what are you doing?
What's wrong with 4
It's not 2, which is the only good Just Cause game.
Honestly 3 is the most fun by todays standards. 2 was nice for its time but its so outdated at this point and 3 is just bigger and has more stuff, more explosions, wing suit, the ability to fly, all kinds of cool toys from the expansions. Get 3 complete and blow shit up.
It's like 4 bucks
I have 2 already
Laika aged through blood or the janky looking platformer?
Looks interesting I was leaning towards a xcom style game.
aged through blood, the trials metroidvania
no idea if it's sub 20 but laika
More of a /vst/ gem, but Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children
What’s the best game about being a wizard? Should I buy Skyrim?
Skyrim is fricking terrible for magic. Morrowind is way better to play as a wizard.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are really good for wizardry as well, especially BG2 since it's high level D&D.
wizard of legend or noita
Morrowind is Elder Scrolls: Magic Edition, magic goes down hill from there
any interesting indie games that released recently?
already played void stranger and viewfinder, the latter needed better puzzles for its gimmick
What do you think Ganker?
Get the Judgment bundle so you get the Kaito Files for free.
I think you should hold off on lost judgement, you're not going to play it, and by the time you get to it, it'll be cheaper
Do any of you guys have experience with the Anno games?
I want some comfy city building and like their ascetic, don't want the futuristic one but there's still a few to choose from. Should I just pick 1800? I could do either the industrial era game or the one that looks more victorian.
I played 2070 and found out it's less like a city builder and more like a supply chain simulator, and the others are the same. Wasn't really my thing
Any games that are only sold on Steam? because I bet if they sell them in other shops I'm pretty sure they will go eventually into a bundle, I hate that I bought Friends vs Friends at launch and now is less than a dolar in other sites
Why is Isaac never on sale?
since when did Steam start selling people?
>don't want anything
>at all
I'm free.
I now realize that a 20 dollar game is sold as a 20 euro game in europeland
Despite 20 euros being more than 20 dollars
what a load of shit.
Close enough.
It's the same number so it's fair though
I don't know about the Dead Cells DLC and Tropico
Tropico are really good games, but if you've played any of them then you've played them all so skip if you own 3/4/5
If I loved Tropico and Surviving Mars, would I like Stranded: Alien Dawn? Is it spooky or Reddit?
Isn't it Rimworld, but 3d graphics?
>was going to get mirror's edge catalyst for 3 dollary doos
>remember it forces you to install origin to play
They did that to me with Titanfall 2, the frickers.
Recommending this to all the sonic gays. It looks moronic but it's basically 3d Sonic perfected. Genuinely a 10/10 game.
ive been itching to play an RTS game are there any good ones on sale right now?
>Age of Empires 2 DE is on sale for supercheap
>same with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (star wars version of AOE2)
>a lot of people like Supreme Commander (but I don't)
>Ground Control 1 and 2 are both $1 each, GC1 is more of RTT than RTS but GC2 is a straight up RTS
>C&C3 is pretty cheap, but it comes with a warning that the singleplayer campaign balance got fricked by multiplayer-focused patches. Still good for skirmishes though.
>Company of Heroes gameplay kicks ass if you're not turned off by the historical setting
>Zero-K is indie as frick, but it's free and plays kind of like a fever dream version of SupCom
The only good RTS game (Starcraft 2) is not on Steam, sadly.
any VR game recommendations?

With mods: Subnautica, Risk of Rain 2, GTFO, Half Life 2, Portal 2, Resident Evil 2/3/7/Village, Outer WIlds
>Resident Evil 2/3/7/Village
I know these have pc VR mods but how do they compare to the psvr version? I hear the re7 one is really hard on your graphics card
As long as you have something decent, like a 4070 or better, it'll run fine.
Might not get all of them
Was thinking about Rain World DLC but it's more expensive than the base game, is it worth it?
Not sure about Nocturne at that price. It's dishonest marketing to call it a "remaster" so you're basically just buying a normal PS2 game (that can be emulated pretty flawlessly already) for twenty bucks
Fair enough, does sound like there's some bugs according to reviews. It is in aus bucks though if that makes any diff
Get Game of the Year for Dirt Rally, the DLC is worth it.
Didn't like Berseria's gameplay compared to the older Tales games
>the older Tales games
fwiw, different teams put out very different games throughout the series, although I'll just assume you mostly mean Yoshito Higuchi's.
Symphonia and Vesperia were the two I'd played the most of
Guys, all the Doom games are on sale.
Zero irony, what do I buy if I ONLY played 2016 sorry
Just go to /vr/ and grab the wads for the old games from the doom general
nothing
you can play original 2 for free, 3 is a meme and zoom eternal is complete dogshit despite being 95% the same as 2016
I have no friends but I wanna play a mp game. Rec me something.
what do I remove or add to get my cart to around $25?
Anything available on GOG and NFS because it requires EA.
I got Warlock in a Humble Bundle and didn't like it that much
>bomb rush cyberfunk still too expensive
frick... I want it but not $32 want it...
Damn, what is that pricing
Can anyone recommend some good roguelikelikelikes? Preferably soemthing with a decent amount of strategy.
in case this information is useful: My favorite is FTL. Nuclear throne is alright, didn't like gungeon, ror2 is trash, ror1/returns is alright, couldn't get into dead cells, StS is decent but tedious.
gunfire reborn
Will give a look
Couldn't really get into it. When it comes to traditional roguelikes I mostly stick to brogue
>Kind of a really broad category
Yeah that's fair. I'm just really craving some randomized games with some strategy/character building.
>randomized games with some strategy/character building.
Night of the Full Moon is probably the closest to that out of what I posted. Free to try too.
Ty anon will give a look
Tales of Maj'Eyal
There's a bunch of less tedious StS-likes, I guess. Chrono Ark, Monster Train, Overdungeon, Neoverse, Night of The Full Moon, etc. Kind of a really broad category if you basically just specify "game has random elements to it" and not much else anon.
Is the ninja gaiden master collection a worth getting for someone trying to get into the series?
Sigma 1 is legitimately great and almost on par with Black. Sigma 2 is significantly less fun than NG2 and while NG3RE is way better than the original it's still not worth playing.
I'd recommend either playing the games on xbox or emulating if possible. Either that or just pirate the collection, shit's not even on sale.
Looking to start my steam collection. I need this tho, any recs?
The only one that I've noticed utilize this controller's features was spoder man
but then again, I don't play much with the dual sense controller.
the new hitman game, any port of a sony game
Is Hi-Fi Rush as good as the reviews say?
yeah, its damn good but kinda short
>yeah, its damn good but kinda short
Okay, I'll buy it along with W101 then.
Any good indie or double a wrpg with unique or less used setting like jade empire or alpha protocol? I don't mind jank as long as it isn't game breaking.
Greedfall.
Played it along with most spiders game
How about the Expeditions games?
bought a compound bow
my first bow ever
pretty fun to shoot
even did a robin hood and split an arrow
Need games I can get up and walk away from at a moments notice and nothing bad happens. Turn based or very easy to pause. New kid so often have to run to help. I like strategy and rpgs
>page 10
i think we need a new bread
No more sales, Will.
