Recommendations for this sale:
RE Revelations 1 (haven't played 2 yet)
The Surge (Soulslike in a giant Amazon warehouse kind of. DLC is all worth it, Walk In The Park is excellent)
Manhunt
Condemned Criminal Origins (Someone said it was busted on PC last thread, but I had no issues with it once I patched it.)
Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy if you want Heavy Rain but more insane
XCOM EU
Halo MCC
Dead Rising
Simcity 4
Any good games for under £4/$5?
The one with the Ace Combat trilogy, RDR and Demons Souls is funnier.
I feel the need... The Need for Speed.
Which one of these is worth buying?
Already played through Heat and MW2012 and really enjoyed both.
Hot Pursuit definitely is. MAYBE Rivals, since same devs as HP, look into that yourself.
Recommend me a game to speedrun, no troony shit
RE3make, RE2make.
r8/h8 my haul
Pretty based, I've been enjoying MP1+2 and ROR2 recently. I plan on playing Max Payne 3 with the Sam Lake face mod sometime soon.

have you played new vegas yet? CyberPunk and Baldur's Gate 3 are also good games with good character creators. Hitman 3 (or whatever it's called now) is also really fun there is nothing really transcore about the game but I like so maybe that counts
>CyberPunk
It's kinda pricey with the dlc, is base game worth it >Hitman 3 (or whatever it's called now) is also really fun
It also has dlc, do i need it? >spoiler it's fine, it's mostly a joke becauseGanker calls everything troony games lol
>CyberPunk
I haven't played the DLC but the base game was fun when I played it. I know they have done a huge overhaul of the systems since I played it though >Hitman 3
The base bundle that is $27.99 includes Hitman 1 2 and 3's campaigns and the freelancer rougelite mode. DLC just adds two new maps and a couple of remixed contracts. Not really worth it in my opinion, but one of the maps is a bank heist that is pretty cool
Fricking troony! I might be sick but I'll crawl over there and swipe your ankles.
Anyway uh what about cute girl jrpgs? I feel like most games with yuri in them just bait or culminate in best friendship lol Hyper Demon, CoD for some reason? Maybe the Atelier Dusk trilogy?
Zane is the only canonically important character and loosely. The games are still orbiting around characters in 2 because they were just that fricking good. It's been like this for literally 3 games now.
I don't get it either, but I remember Ganker shitting on Doom 2016 when it came out and now you all pretend to love that and hate Eternal.
Suffice to say autists who never actually play games will seethe over shit for inscrutable reasons and change their minds just as quickly.

Ganker hate zoomer core games such as new Doom
nuGanker aka zoomers love new Doom for being zoomer core
I am a literal baby boomer and Doom 2016 is great. Haven't got around to Eternal yet since I just bought it the other day and have a bunch of games to get through.
It's universally acclaimed so it's 'cool' to hate it. Basic contrarian mindset. I mean, Ganker hates BG3 and still considers Cyberpunk 2077 irredeemable garbage. That tells you all you need to know about the "tastes" of this board.
As a boomer who played all the Doom games day one and only dislike Doom 3 I can say that even if there are things that I don't like in 2016 and Eternal, they are objectively good games. Especially Eternal because 2016 is a proto-Eternal with things not yet figured out.
Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty ass bro, and I aint buying the fricking expansion to see if it gets better. If they couldn't release the base game without it being fricking garbage I am not going to buy the expansion to see if it gets better.
indie retro shooters are more fun. i liked doom 2016 and have eternal sitting in my library, but i'd rather replay dusk or turbo overkill or buy another indie like amid evil
or even replay halo
I thought it was extremely dumbed down and obnoxious and didn't really "get it" at first, but came to appreciate the switcheroo gameplay after a while and you realize why everything was designed the way it was.

how 'roguelike' is this?
does it have hp regen or is it a glorified puzzle like half the 'rogulikes' on steam?
If I'm having to manually fix those things at a resource cost, that would specifically not be regen and not like rogue.
I'll have to try demo and see how generous health healing is.
I hate having to figure out which enemy in a room I can even afford to engage, that's not how rogue worked, you started every fight at max hp and that's fun
>got MH Rise >want to get another copy for my friend >refund money I want to use is still pending
You already have my money you Black folk. Let me use it.
>I've heard that DaS R is actually just worse than PTD
it's not really all that different. The main thing is they disabled the online for PTD so if you want to play online you have to get the remaster. Also lag stabs are mostly patched compared to the original if you are a pvpgay
There is literally no difference other than a couple of changed textures, different default gamma and a bonfire effect that looks like a bad particle effect rather than a supernatural swirly thing.
>dasr
you'll be paying $20 for a bonfire by vamos, that's it
disco elysium is cheaper on key sites (devs are commies it's okay!)
signalis i have no strong feelings about
>DaS R is actually just worse than PTD
It has worse textures and lightning but otherwise is exactly the same game sans it actually runs natively at 60 fps; no need for a fan patch.
>Battle Brothers
Amazing game. Probably getting some DLC too before the sale ends.
Hoping to finish my first campaign before that. Whether the company dies or survives
You will enjoy dave the diver but make sure you build up a fair bit of cash and upgrades early before progressing the story you'll be thankful you did as the game goes on and you're given more things to manage.
Bretty good, but keep in mind the Max Payne games need some patching to be playable on modern systems.
ZoE also has an undub mod on nexus if you don't want to deal with the awful dub
ZoE one sucks, its 2 people hype because its a much more focussed and polished experience than ZoE1, which was a series of glorified fetch quests and spectacle 'fights'.
All I got so far.
inb4 >eternal
Imma >Eternal
You because I don't get why you bought both nu-doom's at once.
They're on sale all the time and it would make much more sense to play 2016 (the vastly superior game) to see if you even like it before eternal.
roguelikes where you can get insanely OP and runs are <1.5h?
played noita, EtG, Synthetik
also explorationkino games
I recc subnautica, rain world, the gothic series,
[...]
survivor-likes aren't really roguelikes, they're really low skill, more focused on choices and depend on grinding for upgrades to become powerful, not RNG and skill.
not even close to good reccs there.
None of the games you listed play like rogue at all so I don't get why you're trying to draw the line in the sand.
>would make much more sense to play 2016 (the vastly superior game)
I played a bit of eternal last year, was fun but didn't have a decent enough GPU to really enjoy it and I've always heard 2016 is the better game so figured now's the perfect time to get both
>It looks like a simple and fun FPS.
it is, the only ones salty about it are gays with terminal autism
just avoid zoom eternal, it trades all simplicity and fun for deviantart tier fanfics, running laps until everything dies and moronic platforming
You will enjoy dave the diver but make sure you build up a fair bit of cash and upgrades early before progressing the story you'll be thankful you did as the game goes on and you're given more things to manage.
I've also been thinking about Dave the Diver. The steam sale as a whole looks really good but I feel like I'm full up on games to play that I haven't played.
>Dave the Diver >Weird West Definitive Edition >Ghost Wire: Tokyo >Terminator Resistance >Song of Horror Complete Edition >MH: Rise (base game) >Chernobylite >Cult of the Lamb
I don't know what one or two games to get. (I think I will get Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and I know that will take a lot of time.)
If its so shit, why do they arbit next 3 games around these shit characters?

I've played it singleplayer. It's fun until you reach the swamps, and realize you really need others to help you. It's very grindy, and only becomes more so the further you progress. I recommend you hold off on it.
>roguelikes where you can get insanely OP and runs are <1.5h
Isaac, but I doubt you haven't heard of it, FTL, Spelunky (kinda), Inscryption Kaycee's Mod, HoloCure - Save the Fans!, 20 minutes till dawn, and vampire survivors
survivor-likes aren't really roguelikes, they're really low skill, more focused on choices and depend on grinding for upgrades to become powerful, not RNG and skill.

Isaac, inscryption, FTL and Spelunky are not survivor games, and Isaac, FTL, and Spelunky are all games where you can use skill to overcome RNG, but you are too busy trying to show off your hate boner for survivor games to actually read the whole list. Sad!
Quake Live has bots you can play against and more options for stuff like FOV and graphics settings. I couldn't really get into Quake 1's campaign, but the multiplayer is fun even if you only play against bots. You can change their difficulty and stuff. If you want to stick to the originals, then I'd go with Quake 3 Team Arena.
I prefer DOOM 2 because it has more weapons and enemy types, but DOOM 1 is supposed to have better map design. Both have the Brutal DOOM mods which I recommend instead of Quake's campaigns.
I bought Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia and have had a good time with it. If anyone can recommend something similar to that or Return of the Obra Dinn I'd be interested.
>Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia
If you want more 2hu rpgs, The Genius of Sappheiros is very good. Labyrinth of Touhou also gets recommended pretty often but I haven't played it myself just yet
Thoughts on Sonic Frontiers and El Shaddai? I've never played a Sonic game until the free vn they released a few months ago and Frontiers looks fun. El Shaddai feels expensive, but it looks aesthetic and not too long.
Frontiers is okay-ish.
Running around the overworld's kinda boring unless you grind enough rings to unlock maximum boost speed
Cyberspace stages have different physics to the main game and feel genuinely awful
Boss fights are fun spectacles that are kinda buggy
The last DLC is fricking kaizo-tier crazy bullshit platforming
Sonic Generations is 5 bucks. I would just wait for a deeper discount of Sonic Frontiers. The breath-of-the-wild-like overworld is kinda wack in Frontiers. Maybe wait for it to drop to like 20 bucks, doesn't seem worth it at 30; looks very unpolished for that price.

Frontiers is a tech demo being sold as a finished game. Just buy Generations like that anon said.
if you've never played a sonic game you should pick up sonic adventure 2 and adventure DX
That's a great way to convince him to never play another Sonic game. Sonic and Shadow's level are jank by modern standards and the rest of the game is trash.
>Sonic and Shadow's level are jank
boost sonic is bad. If I wanted to do nothing I'd watch a movie >the rest of the game is trash
chao garden alone is better than every shitty boost sonic game
I played El Shaddai on PS3 and I'm really happy it got a PC port. The visuals are awesome and the soundtrack is excellent. Really cool experience overall. Plot is hard to follow, but in a surrealist way. Maybe you'll get more out of it if you understand its religious references.
Gameplay... Is decent. Somewhat basic, but at least the bosses provide spectacle.
honestly skyrim. My favorite TES game is oblivion, but I feel like skyrim is a more accessible game. for fallout get 3 or New Vegas or ideally both so you can use the tale of two wastelands mod
Its 50%+ the DLC that costs as much as an actual game if you want the main new fighting style added (the other new style is half-assed and underpowered, devs clearly favored boxing).
At which point its not worth it and I regret getting it without waiting longer.
Its better than Judgement 1 as far as gameplay goes because its not just a series of tailing missions and taking pictures for hours, but the story outright sucks and you still have to literally cheat to give enemies enough hp to have any fun at all
I wasn't going to bother with the dlc as that price for like 4 hours of content is bullshit. I just want more funny detective stories, honestly don't care that much about the lack of difficulty. Sad to hear the story sucks as that's what I was mainly interested in.
What's that pixel tower defense game where you put soldiers on the field and try to push the enemy back and destroy their radar truck? Its like a tug-o-war kinda thing...
I'm between Gurumin, Arx Fatalis + Dark Messiah, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R to fill the last slot in my cart. which do I choose? I'm also open to other suggestions around $4
>Dragon's Dogma
One of the least Japanese Japanese games. It's a great game but base game is too easy and lacks bosses or enemy variety. Bitterblack Isle is awesome though.
Bitterblack is too easy too, there are explosive barrels everywhere, a respawning stock of like 50 dragon spit items (consistently stunlocks most enemies even in BB to death) and the only enemies who pose any real threat are enemy mage pawns just because they ignore being hit by most attacks (even dragon spit) then summon a tornado on you; but you can just run past them lol.
Hope DD2 has actual difficulty settings worth a damn, not 'after every single skill you need to be pat on the back to gain back stamina' like DD1 did
>enemy variety.
Bandits (which have like 6 different classes)
Goblins
Cyclops and gorecyclops
Wolves, direwolves and hellhounds
Saurians and their varients
Chimera and Gorechimera
Harpies, snow harpies and succubi
Gargoyles
Ghosts and specters
Skeletons and their armored variants
Zombies and various undead types
Griffins
wieneratrice
Golems and metal golems
Wights
Dragons
Gazer
Never understood the complaint that it lacked enemy variety.

>Bitterblack is too easy too,
I guarantee you wouldn't be able to run through BBI2 and actually fight everything without dying a few times, no matter how good your gear was.
>enemy variety
Several of those are humanoid and for the length of the game just lol. And aren't only about three of those mini bosses that you can't mindlessly button press on?
>Several of those are humanoid
And? They have different movesets and weaknesses. What action game doesn't have a bunch of humanoid enemies? >length
The base game is like 40 hours. >And aren't only about three of those mini bosses that you can't mindlessly button press on?
Ah, you're a shitposter who hasn't played the game.
They did that already. The game was $25 in early access. $40 was its new price. The game has been on sale for as low as 20 bucks before. It's still a lot of game for even the current sale price though.
>i want some online games to play
100 oj is cheap and can be fun if no one is playing cancer characters
vermintide 2 is cheap
synthetik is cheap but i havent played it in long enough to know if anyone is still playing it online
streets of rogue is cheap, the best deal in the sale and has really fun online, but the playerbase is c**ts who TK for fun so you need an actual friend to play with
killing floor 2 is fun and active
>ready or not
It has a ton of potential, but there are a lot of issues with the AI that make it difficult to enjoy right now. Multiplayer can be fun with randoms, but again there are some huge QOL issues that need to be fixed. You can sort of get around that with a mod that lets you force-start lobbies.
Wow, my ankle rolled over yesterday as well, you got it a lot worse than me, I barely have some bruising, but the swelling is still twice the size of my other foot.
I'm not sure about what to pick up to play with friends, the games that are mostly for single player are are Puyo Tetris, Dragon Marked for death and River city girls 2.
But to be honest i'm unsure about most of them so i would appreciate some opinions.
River City 1's PC port was so incredibly fricked I'd be careful buying 2. Enemies getting stuck in animations and losing their hitboxes, inconsistent physics, broken AI, etc.
I played Dragon Marked for Death on launch with some buddies and never touched it again. It was such an underwhelming experience. I don't remember much about it but it was short and the combat felt spammy. I suppose if its like 5 bucks you do what you gotta do, but man I wouldn't recommend it.
>Astroneer >Immortals Fenyx Rising >Horizon Zero Dawn
Worth?
Not sure what Astroneer is really about, but I hear the name a lot. Minecraft in space except with a better art style? It looks like a multiplayer focused game though and I'll be playing it solo if I do get it.
Immortals Fenyx Rising looks like a good open world experience and a sleeper game from 3 years ago. Although, apparently it's puzzle focused instead of combat?
It's about time to play Horizon Zero Dawn even once right? It has to be worth something on the open world spectrum. The setting if anything looks unique.
Greedfall has some jank in it but it is a pretty good story and has some good choices + consequences. I think the game generally pads out too many quests that are ultimately too simple to support such a long game but its pretty good. Especially at that price.
I will always recommend Metro stuff. Exodus is not the best game in the series but serves as a reminder as to why you liked it and ends the story nicely.
>wanting to buy Darktide and Total War Warhammer 3 >don't know if its smarter to wait for the winter sale
Is the winter sale generally stronger in terms of discounts? More importantly how often do same games go on sale on both the autumn and winter sale? Half of me wants to buy these now since they are on ok sales currently (35% for DT, 50% TWW3) and might not even be on sale on the winter sale. The other half is thinking being a smartass and skipping now will lead to getting fricked when the sale is either weaker or non-existent.
I would say skip darktide. It's not good even after the class update. Warhammer 3 is OK but it's probably one of the most disappointing games I've played too.
Thoughts on Dave the Diver, My Time at Sandrock, and Chained Echoes? I was looking at those three.
Chained Echoes wasn't great. Can't speak for the others but I regret my tie with it.
Only played RF4, game has a surprising amount of depth for a farming game if you want to engage in it. You can do some crazy shit with the monster raising and crafting mechanic.

should try elona (g+ custom) if you like rune factory
very similar gameplay loop of farming>do quests from sign board>farming, can also raise and ride on pets, surprisingly similar in general, just lacking much in the terms of characters since its an open world sandbox
I will look into it but I'm not looking for roguelikes.

>Want to get 2 bad games
lol
I played both, they suck, Dorktide especially, soulless characters, awful itemization, boring enemies, shitty hp system
Thanks, but I am well acquainted with what Fatshart did all this time since release, I still want to get it since the gameplay look simply fun. I can't say I have seen it on sale for more than 35% off, which is why i'm considering getting it now.
Dont get WarHammer 3. CA is really fricking up anything. Do you have Warhammer 2 already?
>Do you have Warhammer 2 already
No, I was planning on getting the 3rd one and then just using creamapi to get everything else. Similarly I haven't seen the game for off more than 50%, so thinking they probably wont put it on a larger sale, even if it is the winter sale.
Honestly I would suggest getting warhammer 1 and 2 and trying them first. I played them alot and got the third game as well, but havent played much since there has been so much problems with CA. To get the "full" Warhammer 3 experience you need Warhammer 1 and 2 so you can play Mortal Empires
The sales have been similar or identical for years. I don't know why people still say this.
The BLACKEST guy I've ever met had a delivery job (he's the founder of his company) on a resident international company in my country. He was paid 2500 Hispanic dollars for its job, every 30 days.
He moved to the USA, he's now working as an Amazon delivery guy, and he makes 1500 USD (the equivalent of 1500 Hispanic dollars), EVERY WEEK.
There's no reason why you should remain in your shithole when America has that much money to spare for shitty jobs. There's no reason to create your own company in spicland when a dude delivering pizzas doubles your earnings.
Why does every single person who says "just move to USA bro you earn in usd" fail to also add that you'll also be spending your money in usd? I would earn more if I moved to america sure but my spendings would also skyrocket. Shit's cheap as frick here in spicland. The only who truly benefit from moving are those who have their savings in usd and move to spicland since it's worth a lot more.

It really didn't. The reason the American continent was so empty when the European settlers arrived was that because they had just gone through World War Chug where a bunch of the massive native empires had been fighting each other for centuries slowly whittling down their populations. Then they got hit with disease brought over by seals migrating. Small pox arrived in North America before the settlers ever did.

No, the Christmas sale usually only has more sales. Most games that go on sale for both will have the same discount for both. This isn't a gacha game, there's no trap banners.
>Isn't it a guaranteed fact christmas sale has better deals?
not necessarily, any game not on sale right now has a good chance of going on sale during the winter sale, but most games on sale now will be on sale for the same amount during the winter sale
Major sales are gone, discount you see now will be exactly the same over winter sale. Only difference is that corps like Square Enix don't bother with smaller sales and only discount their games during summer and winter sales.
This is the real question. Everyone be saying >christmas sale will share the exact same discount as Autumn
But is that a guaranteed fact? Because if it is, then there's no reason to not wait for Christmas. You can buy the autumn games in a month with no money loss.
one game is -75% and won't drop more (it's cheap anyway), one game is on the lowest it ever been and considering its story i don't think devs will sell it cheap anywhere before the first year of second game and another one i would buy in fill anyway so if doesn't flop too hard but if i can get ot with discount why not, and one game is low and unlikely will get much lower
There's no guarantee everything will be on as good a sale as it is now during the Winter Sale and several games have already hit historic lows. Use SteamDB to check price history. What games would I consider to wait and see on? Anything released less than two years ago and those that aren't at a matching low. Easy example would be the Mass Effect bundle that was cheaper during the Halloween sale.
never played the game until now - has silly writing, and the english male protagonist va has the worst 16 year old tier fake cool guy voice ever (with the english female mc having a ceaselessly 'hehe gotcha maaan voice'), but the game is fundamentally solid and seamless to play, if you like the original blade runner or ghost in the shell you'll get some mileage out of the setting + psycho ray tracing alone for the great atmosphere
it's your typical old world style expansion pack, the game is fully complete without it, but the expansion adds a new 'world' to explore and a pretty fleshed out new campaign
it's easily 10+ hours, but not necessary to experience given the base game's story and optional quests are already so long, could always get the base game now and phantom liberty months down the line when it is also on sale
The DLC is good. It isn't "huge" but it tells one the nicest, if not nicest, stories in cyberpunk. It's more cyberpunk and for me, that's enough. I really enjoyed the base game before the major update. I don't quite like the whole "stamina" system as it relates to shooting but it's a great game. I love cyberpunk.
I own a lot of the games I want on Steam, just was considering getting those because they're cheap and on sale. Who cares if it's meme garbage? Dave the Diver clearly is a fun/popular game, haven't seen anything bad about it. Don't be a homosexual about everything, geez.
Chained Echoes is pretty impressive for a one man dev team. That said movement on the map feels weird because you will constantly bump into invisible walls from environmental objects that don't look like they should be where they are and it is kind of annoying for a game that has so many objects hidden on the maps.
The combat is kinda strange in that your HP and TP get refilled after every battle so there is no war of attrition thing going on as you navigate maps and experience random battles.
The soundtrack is very good, but a lot of combat sound effects are jarring and like way louder than the music, but that is kind of an autistic nitpick.
The portraits all suffer from a really bad case of sameface. Like Matthias made one unisex portrait model for humans and just changes the hair and costumes to for each individual character.
It is pretty short. For a game this heavily influenced by SNES/early PSX era JRPGs I expected it to last a lot longer than it did
The sprite work is very very good. I found myself genuinely impressed with a lot of the environmental and enemy sprites.
Sky Armor is neat
It's a good game if you enjoy the genre and style. It also includes the kind of minor annoyances you would experience playing a new game of the genre when it came out. If you like JRPGs from the era I think $20 is a good deal to have the first new one to play in 20 years. If you aren't that big on this style then I would hold off in the hopes of a better price down the road. I personally hope Matthias makes enough money off of Chained Echoes to consider making another game and uses the experience he gained developing this to make a better one.
Picked up AoE2 DE, most fun I've had since playing conquerors as a kid. Not sure if I'm good enough to play online yet. I wish Galactic Battlegrounds would get the same treatment.
It's fine. I think it's a ton of fun in the first area, but it gets worse as you progress, with the third area being absolute dogshit. I haven't played any of the free updates they added though, so they may have fixed it.
Money's a little tight, so I've resolved to only buy one as a little birthday gift to myself. Which one should I go with, Ganker? Playing well on the deck is a huge plus.
Does that still apply even if I have 200+ hours in Rimworld?
It seems that 30% is cap for good games released in past few years and ACS is damn good game. Easily hundreds upon hundreds hours of gameplay. >Rimworld
eh, ACS doesn't have such huge modding community (it mostly chinese) and require autism where RimWorld doesn't
unless you are ready to read hundreds of google docs pages I wouldn't recommend it
If you haven't ever tried Skyrim then you really should (also how did you not?)
If you did play it then it's not worth getting again for a few extra features
Never touched it because Morrowind nor Oblivion could hold my attention, so I figured I had no reason to think Skyrim would be any different. I'll admit 13 years of FOMO has me curious.
Well then maybe fantasy RPGs aren't your cup of tea and you should skip it, but it's a fun adventure that I (and many others) always enjoy coming back to, its comfy as hell and the mods for it are pretty insane so for 7$ you should give it a shot imo
Elder Scrolls has progressively gone downhill since Morrowind. If Morrowwind couldn't hold your attention Skyrim won't either. It's not a fun game to be honest.
Don't buy the Spark trilogy. Just get 3. 1 is a janky, slow Sonic Advance clone and 3 had all the levels from 2 ported to it anyway. That said, if you like Dreamcast-era Sonic it's a lot of fun. Janky, infuriating design decisions at times, but it's incredibly soulful and admittedly really fun.
What was the appeal of Oxenfree?
I played through about half of it (at least I think) and nothing but pretty mundane and generoc preteen half assed dramas
Does it get good? Does something extraordinary happen?
>racing games >dlc and third-party launcher hell
good luck, anon. google and probably answer that much better since there's several different types and modes
I'm not able to send images because doing holiday stuff but I got >Like a Dragon Ishin >Judgment collection >Dave the diver >Crisis Core remake >Crash Bandicoot 4 >Nioh 2
How did I do?
The series is great especially if you enjoy Batman
Origins is the weaker link so I'd suggest starting with the main games and only if you really enjoyed them and want some more, get Origins
Game looks great but its overrated. I've played it on gamepass and quit when I find out both protagonists have no personality and you're basically sidekicks to one guy in the party who'll be speaking for you. He even names a town you help save.
Here's mine
Don't wanna spend too much money and only chose games that are comfortable to play on a laptop, and are available for mac because >gaming on macbook
How do I look Gankerros?
Disco is a must-play. The game will hammer this point home, but be sure to actually pick any dialogue options you find funny or interesting. Half the fun in this game is seeing how people react to the inane shit the MC thinks about
Disco is a must-play. The game will hammer this point home, but be sure to actually pick any dialogue options you find funny or interesting. Half the fun in this game is seeing how people react to the inane shit the MC thinks about
Thanks, I love choosing weird dialogue options and seeing where it takes me so I hope I'll enjoy it, heared a lot of good things about it
Wasn't there team drama with the game where the main writer/creator got chased out of their own project?
There's not much reason to buy a Monster Hunter game without the g-rank expansion if it's out already. These aren't your usual DLCs, it's practically one more of the same game added on top. If you aren't sure if you like the type of game, play the demo.
Sunbreak adds quite competent AI companions in hunts in addition to your cats and dogs. They're not an absolute replacement to co-op but watching their competence play out is pretty impressive.
Sunbreak also renders the tower defense mission obsolete and everyone was glad
Basic b***h but at least most of that shit is going for cheap. >.hack//GU
Little heads up: much like every other anime game, it's visually heavy, mechanically okay, and very grindy/smashy as a fake mmo. I've enjoyed the IMOQ and GU games more for the interactive but fake BBS and news shit in the start screen but that's me being a weirdo. At least you'll be getting your money's worth with 3.5 games for $5.
Also due to it being a faux MMO, there's like two servers (less than the //IMOQ games) and the number of keywords and what maps get generated by them is actually insane so if you want to see everything you're fricked. It's bigger than most real mmos.
I heard the remake of Tactics ogre on steam is controversial.
I already played LaL, but what about the Atelier games? There's a couple of them on sale and I wonder if there's a good place to start. Is Ryza good? I hear that one was a meme.
The Star Ocean 2 remake that just came out was really good.
seconding this
anything team asano
Sounds lovely but it ain't on sale right now at least.
>I heard the remake of Tactics ogre on steam is controversial.
Not really. Only people who grew up on the PSP version pretend the mechanical changes aren't all good.
>I already played LaL, but what about the Atelier games? There's a couple of them on sale and I wonder if there's a good place to start. Is Ryza good? I hear that one was a meme.
Ryza's a good starting place, yes. Get the original Ryza to start with if it's on sale, though. The Atelier series is pretty laid back but fun. Also can be fun to break if you like that sort of thing.
ill take em if youre offering
the first game was the first game I ever pirated, but I never finished it, the second game Ive always wanted to play it looks cool
Dark Messiah is so ridiculously fun it's a crime that I kept it backlogged until this year. Buy it, anon. If you don't mind a little bit of jank, good times are ahead of you.
>I have no friends that game. They all got married, had kids, and don't have time to waste on stupid shit.
I was literally playing games last night with 2 friends that are married and have kids. Get better friends.
Do not look for a guide. Just cruise around finding your own path. The dev had a specific game path laid out when he made the game, but he also designed it in such a way that if you are creative or good at platforming you can find your own path to the end game.
Just figure it out yourself, and when you finally beat the game go look at a walk through so you can see what the cheesiest path to the end game is and what was the default path.
Crystal Project is loads of fun. Except for a couple of the worst platforming dungeons like Sequoia or Slip 'n Slide 'n Glide. Sequoia isn't even meant to be taken on until you have the gold quintar, but if you cheese the game a lot to get certain mounts you can get there really early in the game, and if you are really good at platforming and skilled at dodging enemies you can get crazy end game items.
I put over 100 hours into Crystal Project in the first month I owned the game, since it was so much fun.
I have already played it for 8 houers, it is very cool. I kinda wanted to look up some stuff, but the little bits of text in the beginning about “your own adventure” etc. made me not do it.
Yeah, the game is thematically, narratively, and by gameplay design all about finding your own path and creating the adventure you want to play. I am not going to spoil it for you, but I just hope you are paying attention to Capital Sequoia as you slowly progress the game.
Not him but the exploration was really much more fun than I expected. I stopped playing after a while though, it's just exhausting to have every new zone filled with nothing but miniboss-tier enemies until you manage to level up on them
Is Dark Souls 2 worth buying if I already have SOTFS? I hear the OG version apparently has different enemy placement and is harder. So I was wondering if these changes would make it worth buying
if you owned neither I would say buy the original, but unless you are really desperate for more souls content don't buy a second version of the game. SOTFS is a passable enough dks2 experience
Don't know abou the rest bit I'd skip Farcry 5, it's peak Ubislop, doesn't even have a main questline, just sends you to do checklist tier missions around the map until you unlock the local boss and rinse and repeat
i had seen some clips on youtube about the cult being right which i thought was interesting but it not having a main story to follow is a bit disappointing
thanks for the heads up
I'm sort of in the mood for a good fire emblem like game
My one gripe with fire emblem always was having to use the controller instead of clicking and placing my units where I like
I am also interested in something action rpg like with combat like tales of arise
I love how the combat looks in that game but I heard bad things about the game like the combat being shallow and doesn't expand later on and the story being generic
Oh and a shooter would be nice that is very casual and also rpg-like akin to cyberpunk and fallout
How pozzed is Dragon Age really? Looking for a good RPG and I've seen people praise Origins but not so much the rest of them but they're all pretty cheap atm.
DAO is great. There are gay romance options or whatever, but I don't recall there being much of any in-your-face propaganda or anything like that. The sequels you can safely skip. DAI does have some nice story parts and characters and I don't regret playing it, but the game does have a ton of problems.
I don't even know what Sea of Stars is. I am just straight up saying that you would be much better off emulating Chrono Trigger than getting the cheap cash grab Steam version.
No, it's the DS port. I know because played it, it doesn't have mobile layout
It is the mobile port. I had the mobile port on my phone and bought this because of how much I disliked the mobile port. My disappointment was immeasurable.
>Dark Souls
Tunic. Fantastic game about exploration and solving a cryptic world. The combat isn't as hard, but if you like the exploration element and atmosphere I heartily recommend it. Best if you go in unspoiled.
RPGs with dynamic economy?
Mount and Blade and The Guild, for example, bases market prices of items on the quantity currently available. It's a game mechanic that is barely utilized unless it's a player-driven mmo like EVE or Albion
Would I like Knights of the Chalice? In terms of DnD adjacent games, I liked the combat in pathfinder and bg2, was indifferent to POE1, and I hated bg3's combat
Not really hidden gems but Kenshi, Crystal Project, Underrail, Loop Hero, and Din's Legacy are all really fun games from small studios that don't get a lot of main stream recognition.
I got sick recently and also bought my sis Little Goody Two Shoes so I can't snag anything this yr. I'm enjoying the sale vicariously in a blanket cocoon.
Can someone give me a qrd on this meme?
what meme? valkyrie profile is on steam go check
Dude has been spamming that pic for a decade already, before GTAV would get a PC release. Now all that remains is VP, but you can emulate that easily
Here's what I've got so far.
Hot Pursuit definitely is. MAYBE Rivals, since same devs as HP, look into that yourself.
RE3make, RE2make.
Pretty based, I've been enjoying MP1+2 and ROR2 recently. I plan on playing Max Payne 3 with the Sam Lake face mod sometime soon.

i havent bought shit because most of the stuff im slightly interested in is only $5 off
same
What did you want?
>What did you want?
uhhh ... that's not important
Ah
troony here, recommend me some (good) transcore to buy
Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor
have you played new vegas yet? CyberPunk and Baldur's Gate 3 are also good games with good character creators. Hitman 3 (or whatever it's called now) is also really fun there is nothing really transcore about the game but I like so maybe that counts
>CyberPunk
It's kinda pricey with the dlc, is base game worth it
>Hitman 3 (or whatever it's called now) is also really fun
It also has dlc, do i need it?
>spoiler
it's fine, it's mostly a joke becauseGanker calls everything troony games lol
>CyberPunk
I haven't played the DLC but the base game was fun when I played it. I know they have done a huge overhaul of the systems since I played it though
>Hitman 3
The base bundle that is $27.99 includes Hitman 1 2 and 3's campaigns and the freelancer rougelite mode. DLC just adds two new maps and a couple of remixed contracts. Not really worth it in my opinion, but one of the maps is a bank heist that is pretty cool
flipwitch
Cool, I might get both base versions then. Thanks.
Sounds fun

Karoshi series, to prepare yourself for the inevitable future.
Okay Borderlands 3 or MCC? Liked Borderlands 2. Never played Halo before though might as well start now.
Borderlands for sure, Halo is for sissies
Borderlands 3 = best gameplay in the series, worst characters, story, and (unskippable) cutscenes
>worst characters
hunters themselves are good minus the poo dev self insert
Zane is the only canonically important character and loosely. The games are still orbiting around characters in 2 because they were just that fricking good. It's been like this for literally 3 games now.
nothing in 2 was good
Okay Mr. Contrarian
MCC
roboquest
I'd recommend MCC only for the campaign but you're probably better off pirating it. Frick 343.
Both tbh, good experiences for different reasons
All I got so far.
inb4 >eternal
Doom Eternal is good. Not sure why nu Ganker seems to hate it? Hope you enjoy ripping demons apart
Haven't got around to Eternal yet since I just bought it the other day and have a bunch of games to get through.
it's not good moron
and yes i played all of them
game is bloated and demons are bullet sponges
The stuff i wanted isn't on sale 🙁
HELP ME ANONS
there was a good steam games thread recently that had pic related... but I couldn't find it whatsoever cuz I dunno what OP wrote in it

how 'roguelike' is this?
does it have hp regen or is it a glorified puzzle like half the 'rogulikes' on steam?
You have to repair your ship/buy new crewat stations, so an actual roguelike.
Got frostpunk after trying it out in goypass and liking it
The entire thing with addons is like $8 so why not

All I've got right now. I've heard that DaS R is actually just worse than PTD, so I might just pirate. Don't care strongly either way tbdesu
Ignore the other guy, 2P in MonHun is as fun as it gets (aside from lone huntan)
>I've heard that DaS R is actually just worse than PTD
it's not really all that different. The main thing is they disabled the online for PTD so if you want to play online you have to get the remaster. Also lag stabs are mostly patched compared to the original if you are a pvpgay
Thanks, I did PvP in release DaS1 for like 600 hours in college, so it's out of my system.
There is literally no difference other than a couple of changed textures, different default gamma and a bonfire effect that looks like a bad particle effect rather than a supernatural swirly thing.
You can play mh without giving money to troonydev. Though looking at your dogshit cart you're clearly too moronic to do that.
>dasr
you'll be paying $20 for a bonfire by vamos, that's it
disco elysium is cheaper on key sites (devs are commies it's okay!)
signalis i have no strong feelings about
>DaS R is actually just worse than PTD
It has worse textures and lightning but otherwise is exactly the same game sans it actually runs natively at 60 fps; no need for a fan patch.
Dark Souls Remastered is 10$ on cdkeys right now.
fallout 76 is pretty good for the price
what about the microtransactions?
I implore you to purchase corn kidz 64
picked up dishonored 2 for a couple of bucks
Nothing, this sale is a trap and a scam, wait for winter sale
I feel the need... The Need for Speed.
Which one of these is worth buying?
Already played through Heat and MW2012 and really enjoyed both.
Hot Pursuit, rest is garbo
>Battle Brothers
Amazing game. Probably getting some DLC too before the sale ends.
Hoping to finish my first campaign before that. Whether the company dies or survives

Any comfy 2D RPG games?
r8/h8 my haul
You will enjoy dave the diver but make sure you build up a fair bit of cash and upgrades early before progressing the story you'll be thankful you did as the game goes on and you're given more things to manage.
wtf, Neo TWEWY is on Steam?
Yes Neo is but the frickin remake of the first game is not.
Oh how's ZOE? Nice pickups
Imma
>Eternal
You because I don't get why you bought both nu-doom's at once.
They're on sale all the time and it would make much more sense to play 2016 (the vastly superior game) to see if you even like it before eternal.
None of the games you listed play like rogue at all so I don't get why you're trying to draw the line in the sand.
That's ZoE2 though. The first game isn't even on PC
Oh ZoE2 has orange box art in my country, thought it was 1.
Then its a solid 8/10 game, bit too easy
>would make much more sense to play 2016 (the vastly superior game)
I played a bit of eternal last year, was fun but didn't have a decent enough GPU to really enjoy it and I've always heard 2016 is the better game so figured now's the perfect time to get both
This anon agrees
so I think go for Doom 2016 like me
I read the ZOE2 port is shit, how is it really? Mixed on steam
I've also been thinking about Dave the Diver. The steam sale as a whole looks really good but I feel like I'm full up on games to play that I haven't played.
>Dave the Diver
>Weird West Definitive Edition
>Ghost Wire: Tokyo
>Terminator Resistance
>Song of Horror Complete Edition
>MH: Rise (base game)

I don't know what one or two games to get. (I think I will get Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and I know that will take a lot of time.)
non fanboy answers please: are the sony games on PC any good?
rift apart and spider-man are both fun games. no clue if the ports are good though
They are meh
I got Grim Dawn + DLC. Diablo 4 disappointed me.
Wonderlands or Gotham Knights?
is this bait?
both of them are like $4 on key sites Black person
what are you doing?

I had a lot of fun with Doom 2016. I feel like even purists will tell you it's enjoyable enough.
You ok, mate?
That is what I thought. It looks like a simple and fun FPS. It is nice with something like that once in a while. Thanks
>It looks like a simple and fun FPS.
it is, the only ones salty about it are gays with terminal autism
just avoid zoom eternal, it trades all simplicity and fun for deviantart tier fanfics, running laps until everything dies and moronic platforming
you giving these away or something? if you don't mind i'd like to have arkham knight it's the last one i need

you are a genuine moron
those games will definitely be on sale during the winter sale. Refund while you still can bro
I need some feedback bros
>Valheim
You better have your gamer gang ready. Because that game is grindy as shit.
Still good though
is it fun for singleplayer? I don't have any friends
I've played it singleplayer. It's fun until you reach the swamps, and realize you really need others to help you. It's very grindy, and only becomes more so the further you progress. I recommend you hold off on it.
>el chileANO
>Being so insecure you changed Steam's language to English to please the homosexuals on Ganker
I do it to practice my reading
No you don't; just browsing Ganker and the internet as a whole is enough.
You just want to please your Ganker overlords, which is very sad.
Reading Ganker is going to worsen your English instead of improving it
valheim is padded to hell to ensure you don't finish too quickly, being in early access and all
roguelikes where you can get insanely OP and runs are <1.5h?
played noita, EtG, Synthetik
also explorationkino games
I recc subnautica, rain world, the gothic series,
>roguelikes where you can get insanely OP and runs are <1.5h
Isaac, but I doubt you haven't heard of it, FTL, Spelunky (kinda), Inscryption Kaycee's Mod, HoloCure - Save the Fans!, 20 minutes till dawn, and vampire survivors
survivor-likes aren't really roguelikes, they're really low skill, more focused on choices and depend on grinding for upgrades to become powerful, not RNG and skill.
not even close to good reccs there.
Isaac, inscryption, FTL and Spelunky are not survivor games, and Isaac, FTL, and Spelunky are all games where you can use skill to overcome RNG, but you are too busy trying to show off your hate boner for survivor games to actually read the whole list. Sad!
I read the whole list and played all of them except for survivorslop lmao(which I did give a fair try to a few and only halls of torment was good)
Holocure: Save the Fans!
Better to get Remnant 1 and 2 or just 2?

>Doom and 2
>Quake 1 and II
which one do I get?
Why not all of them? They can't be very expensive.
I only buy games that I plan on playing asap.
One copy of Bad Rats coming up!
Ok
Thoughts on Sonic Frontiers and El Shaddai? I've never played a Sonic game until the free vn they released a few months ago and Frontiers looks fun. El Shaddai feels expensive, but it looks aesthetic and not too long.
if you've never played a sonic game you should pick up sonic adventure 2 and adventure DX
Overall, 6.5/10.
Just try El Shaddai. If you don't like it within the first couple hours, refund it.
Frontiers is a tech demo being sold as a finished game. Just buy Generations like that anon said.
That's a great way to convince him to never play another Sonic game. Sonic and Shadow's level are jank by modern standards and the rest of the game is trash.
>Sonic and Shadow's level are jank
boost sonic is bad. If I wanted to do nothing I'd watch a movie
>the rest of the game is trash
chao garden alone is better than every shitty boost sonic game
I played El Shaddai on PS3 and I'm really happy it got a PC port. The visuals are awesome and the soundtrack is excellent. Really cool experience overall. Plot is hard to follow, but in a surrealist way. Maybe you'll get more out of it if you understand its religious references.
Gameplay... Is decent. Somewhat basic, but at least the bosses provide spectacle.
I'd say go for it.

against the storm
inkbound
ender lilies
valkerie elysium
hades
super bullet break
theseus protocol
are all on my maybe list, so shill me on your favourite! or warn me about what you hated.
I only played the demo and a few hours of the whole game, but against the storm is really good.
What The Elder Scrolls and Fallouts should I buy?
t. Never played any
honestly skyrim. My favorite TES game is oblivion, but I feel like skyrim is a more accessible game. for fallout get 3 or New Vegas or ideally both so you can use the tale of two wastelands mod
how is lost judgement? I enjoyed the original and 50% seems decent
Yeah, I think this is going to be it
final cart.
What's that pixel tower defense game where you put soldiers on the field and try to push the enemy back and destroy their radar truck? Its like a tug-o-war kinda thing...
I can't remember what it's called.
I don't know, convoy?
I'm between Gurumin, Arx Fatalis + Dark Messiah, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R to fill the last slot in my cart. which do I choose? I'm also open to other suggestions around $4
dark messiah is really good. if you are looking for something more modern though, Prey is only $3
I already own Prey, but thanks anyway
Get all of them.
I'm trying not to spend over $30, and I've only got around $4 left before I go over that
Then get rid of some other games to get those because they're all great.
google is watching my steam cart

Prey
It's like Bioshock but in space
Will I like Dragon's Dogma if the only Japanese game I have ever played is Pokemon?
it's just an action game, and they speak english
more specifically it controls like an action game
game is super fun. it and pokemon are my two favorite franchises
Ah, you're a shitposter who hasn't played the game.
>hasn't played the game.
haven't played the game in years. stop fanboying and trying to defend its flaws
Stop being an idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about.
You're better off playing Monster Hunter Stories 2

which order should I play the yakuza games?
bump
0, kiwami 1, kiwami 2, 3 remastered, 4 remastered...
Count homie
Start with 0, then either skip to 3 or play the kiwamis. The kiwamkis suck but they're important to the story
Will they rise Sandrock price?
They did that already. The game was $25 in early access. $40 was its new price. The game has been on sale for as low as 20 bucks before. It's still a lot of game for even the current sale price though.
How's this?
Gotham Knights is still 15 bucks too expensive
Knights isn't even worth the time spent jacking off to pictures of batgirl while it installs

my foot and i cant do anything else but sit on my pc
>i want some online games to play
100 oj is cheap and can be fun if no one is playing cancer characters
vermintide 2 is cheap
synthetik is cheap but i havent played it in long enough to know if anyone is still playing it online
streets of rogue is cheap, the best deal in the sale and has really fun online, but the playerbase is c**ts who TK for fun so you need an actual friend to play with
killing floor 2 is fun and active
ty mate
vermintide 2 looks cool
never tried kf2 or 1 so ill get both
>ready or not
It has a ton of potential, but there are a lot of issues with the AI that make it difficult to enjoy right now.
>This games is much cheaper on Epic Game Store.
No it's not.
Ok, factor in rebate. moron.
33% coupon + 10 bucks cashback brings it down to 29 USD which is still roughly twice as expensive, Mr. Rajesh
I just picked up Civ 6 not knowing what the changes were from Civ 5. What am I in for boys?
Also which faction should I play first?
play the fkin game and find out gay
In the mood for a high budget ex-sony romp.
God of War or Horizon+Days Gone? Already picked up Uncharted 4. $30 left to spend.
are there any games on Steam with waifus as cute as Blue Archive?
What are some comfy games for these dark and cold autumn days
Little Inferno
>Battlefield 4
>Battlefield 1
>Battlefield 5
Which one? I only played 4 on PS4 when it came out.
>Astroneer
>Immortals Fenyx Rising
>Horizon Zero Dawn
The setting if anything looks unique.
any thoughts against or for any of these games?
someone said the crusader devs dont deserve my money, not sure why
I don't play most of those but those I have are fine.
>Two of those require EA
Greedfall has some jank in it but it is a pretty good story and has some good choices + consequences. I think the game generally pads out too many quests that are ultimately too simple to support such a long game but its pretty good. Especially at that price.
I will always recommend Metro stuff. Exodus is not the best game in the series but serves as a reminder as to why you liked it and ends the story nicely.
>wanting to buy Darktide and Total War Warhammer 3
>don't know if its smarter to wait for the winter sale
Is the winter sale generally stronger in terms of discounts? More importantly how often do same games go on sale on both the autumn and winter sale? Half of me wants to buy these now since they are on ok sales currently (35% for DT, 50% TWW3) and might not even be on sale on the winter sale. The other half is thinking being a smartass and skipping now will lead to getting fricked when the sale is either weaker or non-existent.
Dont get WarHammer 3. CA is really fricking up anything. Do you have Warhammer 2 already?
>Want to get 2 bad games
lol
I played both, they suck, Dorktide especially, soulless characters, awful itemization, boring enemies, shitty hp system
Darktide is fun, needs more content though
I should really only get 2 of these games. which?
I would say skip darktide. It's not good even after the class update. Warhammer 3 is OK but it's probably one of the most disappointing games I've played too.
Chained Echoes wasn't great. Can't speak for the others but I regret my tie with it.
Only played RF4, game has a surprising amount of depth for a farming game if you want to engage in it. You can do some crazy shit with the monster raising and crafting mechanic.
Mary Skelter 2 include first game (you switch them from main menu) but you need to start with 2nd game for proper story development.
should try elona (g+ custom) if you like rune factory
very similar gameplay loop of farming>do quests from sign board>farming, can also raise and ride on pets, surprisingly similar in general, just lacking much in the terms of characters since its an open world sandbox
I will look into it but I'm not looking for roguelikes.
Sounds pretty good.
>I will look into it but I'm not looking for roguelikes.
Elona isn't roguelike.
Googling it, every site but its subreddit calls it a roguelike. What makes it not a roguelike?
>steam sale
>there's like a single square enix game on sale

wisdom
>One day you might be all alone
haha yeah, imagine that...
Thanks, but I am well acquainted with what Fatshart did all this time since release, I still want to get it since the gameplay look simply fun. I can't say I have seen it on sale for more than 35% off, which is why i'm considering getting it now.
Steamdb disagrees.

Couldn't buy anything this sale due to Steam's change prices to USD in my country.
It's easy, just get a job flipping burgers and share a broom closet-sized apartment with 20 more hispanics to drive the cost of living down
don't forget having to constantly interact with rabid Black folk, have your eyes be assailed daily by hamgalaxies, be stuck with second worst food on the planet after literally eating ze bugs, die if anything health related happens because healthcare can be only afforded by rich and die for israelites the second they start a few more wars!
Games and technology is still a lot cheaper in USA even when your other expenses are in USD.
so he made 1000 less than his home currency money? then he made a bad decision moving to the US
isn’t ancap man gonna replace your currency with usd anyway?
No, Erdogan has no such intention.
He, is it true that Istanbul has tonnes of stray cats everywhere you can pet?
Yes, it's true. I live there and there are dozens of cats around my house.
Based, you should give the kitties some turkey today.
They're not Christian.
What does turkey have to do with Christianity?
Thought Thanksgiving is a Christian day but apparently it's not
It's just a harvest festival where you give thanks for the plentiful harvest and prepare for a long winter. Fall has the best foods here.
Since most Americans pray to Jesus on this day people like me in other parts of the world thinks it has something to do with Christianity.
>murder all indians
>celebrate it yearly by eating turkey
Some are still alive though and became beloved movie stars like what's his face and that one girl from the new predator
99% of Indians died from disease
Yeah but the diseases came from the white man who brought it to them
While true it's probably better to say manslaughter, lots of Indian tribes were allies to Europeans
The smallpox blanket shit is bullshit invented by academia by morons writing their doctorates to justify their useless degrees and opportunistic israelites looking to start this like they always do and attack the roots of their host nation.
yes a disease called american bullets
It's American exclusive. Got jackshit to do with religion.
be explicitly honest with me.
Why would you buy in this sale over christmas one?
Isn't it a guaranteed fact christmas sale has better deals?
Not really. 90% of sale prices are exactly the same so its just going to be same sale again lol.
>Isn't it a guaranteed fact christmas sale has better deals?
no. everyone should use steamDB so it shows if there's been a better price in the past.
Major sales are gone, discount you see now will be exactly the same over winter sale. Only difference is that corps like Square Enix don't bother with smaller sales and only discount their games during summer and winter sales.
The sales have been similar or identical for years. I don't know why people still say this.
Prices have already dropped this sale, no way they drop again.
>Isn't it a guaranteed fact christmas sale has better deals?
Is it a guaranteed fact that a game that is on sale now will repeat its sale on Christmas tho?
This is the real question. Everyone be saying
>christmas sale will share the exact same discount as Autumn
Should I get Max Payne 3?
Can I get some recommendations?
My favourite games are fallout 1/2/nv and psychonauts
Planescape Torment (original)
Arcanum: Of steamwork and magic
bros should i buy cyberpunk now its apparently non-shit?
never played the game until now - has silly writing, and the english male protagonist va has the worst 16 year old tier fake cool guy voice ever (with the english female mc having a ceaselessly 'hehe gotcha maaan voice'), but the game is fundamentally solid and seamless to play, if you like the original blade runner or ghost in the shell you'll get some mileage out of the setting + psycho ray tracing alone for the great atmosphere
is it worth getting the DLC vers or just the base game?
it's your typical old world style expansion pack, the game is fully complete without it, but the expansion adds a new 'world' to explore and a pretty fleshed out new campaign
it's easily 10+ hours, but not necessary to experience given the base game's story and optional quests are already so long, could always get the base game now and phantom liberty months down the line when it is also on sale
Thoughts on Dave the Diver, My Time at Sandrock, and Chained Echoes? I was looking at those three.
Why are you only interested in literal meme garbage? You thought the shilling of those games are organic?
>Meme garbage
I own a lot of the games I want on Steam, just was considering getting those because they're cheap and on sale. Who cares if it's meme garbage? Dave the Diver clearly is a fun/popular game, haven't seen anything bad about it. Don't be a homosexual about everything, geez.
You clearly don't belong on Ganker. You type like a discord redditor.
>YOU TYPE LIKE A-A....
Not an argument.
Found the pledditor.
How am I doing so far?
not good bro, not good.
give me a point and click puzzle game rec then to even it out
Dropsy
Looks fun
Fun
Half of my wishlist isn't even on sale, honestly relieved.
Picked up AoE2 DE, most fun I've had since playing conquerors as a kid. Not sure if I'm good enough to play online yet. I wish Galactic Battlegrounds would get the same treatment.
I'm thinking of buying the Blasphemous games, anyone reccomend them or nah?
it's mid but the artstyle carries it
I want games that pull a fast one on you at some point in a satisfying way
I was gonna say Void Stranger but it's actually not on sale
Maybe for Christmas
12 bucks isn't bad if its good
I enjoyed it a lot, and it definitely fits your description
Buy Adventure 2 battle its fun
Rathererthan not fun
is sonic frontiers any good? it's the first 3D sonic game that has interested me since generations
It literally says very positive.
That means its decent at worst.
Remove ACS at least. Poor % and very autistic. I think you should go for Skyrim if you havent played it
Does that still apply even if I have 200+ hours in Rimworld?
haha, okay, then you might be perfect for ACS.
It seems that 30% is cap for good games released in past few years and ACS is damn good game. Easily hundreds upon hundreds hours of gameplay.
>Rimworld
eh, ACS doesn't have such huge modding community (it mostly chinese) and require autism where RimWorld doesn't
unless you are ready to read hundreds of google docs pages I wouldn't recommend it
definitely noita
Out of all those I would say noita but only if you have some autism in dying over and over, but find enjoyment in it
stranded has denuvo and an EULA that collects your personal data. Avoid.
If you want a first person WRPG with good writing and quests, try KCD.
>Slipstream
Picked up. Thanks anon.
I'm in the mood for a 3D platformer. which of these are worth the price?
pac-man
a hat in time is good
i really liked psychonauts 2 but it is kind of a step down from the original.
Don't buy the Spark trilogy. Just get 3. 1 is a janky, slow Sonic Advance clone and 3 had all the levels from 2 ported to it anyway. That said, if you like Dreamcast-era Sonic it's a lot of fun. Janky, infuriating design decisions at times, but it's incredibly soulful and admittedly really fun.
i really like both hat in time and battle for bikini bottom
The first three
Neon White
Maybe Psychonauts but $15 is iffy
Neon White is good
I'm thinking some combination of:
>Roadwarden
>Fear and Hunger
>Class of 09
>Faith Unholy Trinity
>Void Stranger
>Your Turn To Die
>Oxenfree 2
>Cassette Beasts
>Dave Diver
>Dredge
>Slay the Princess
>COCOON
>Little Goody Two Shoes
What was the appeal of Oxenfree?
I played through about half of it (at least I think) and nothing but pretty mundane and generoc preteen half assed dramas
Does it get good? Does something extraordinary happen?
supernatural shit starts happening and you get to explore more of the island, the ending is really fricking cool
Slay the princes and Fear and Hunger seem like great games.
I had to look up Class of 09 and that looks like something I'd really enjoy. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I only want to spend up to around £40 so I'm deciding what to get rid of.
Any recommendation on racing games?
>racing games
>dlc and third-party launcher hell
good luck, anon. google and probably answer that much better since there's several different types and modes
Flatout Ultimate Carnage
Is this shit any good?
If it's not, does that big modpack with the roguelite mode make it good?
Very, very good.
I'm not able to send images because doing holiday stuff but I got
>Like a Dragon Ishin
>Judgment collection
>Dave the diver
>Crisis Core remake
>Crash Bandicoot 4
>Nioh 2
How did I do?
I think I have a nice little cart.
Need some VR recommendations, I paid way too much for those goggles only to play beat saber
HoneySelect 2
Obviously I tried all the porn games and the amount of jank that I encountered was flabbergasting.
Elite Dangerous then, it may not be best game but VR experience is superb since both visual and audio design is top notch.
Star Wars Squadrons is only $1.99 right now, but you do have to deal with EA bullshit
I got senran kagura burst renewal and the kagura dlc.
>Arkham collection only $9
Maybe I should finally check out the series. Is Origins worth picking up too?
No, it's still very buggy and isn't much of a leap forward from Arkham City, in fact it felt worse than it overall.
It doesn't hurt to try.
Despite its technical issues I think Origins has one of the best stories in the series and the best boss fights.
The series is great especially if you enjoy Batman
Origins is the weaker link so I'd suggest starting with the main games and only if you really enjoyed them and want some more, get Origins
Sea Of Stars y/n?
Yes.
No.
>shill of troons
Game looks great but its overrated. I've played it on gamepass and quit when I find out both protagonists have no personality and you're basically sidekicks to one guy in the party who'll be speaking for you. He even names a town you help save.
Here's mine
Don't wanna spend too much money and only chose games that are comfortable to play on a laptop, and are available for mac because

How do I look Gankerros?
Disco is a must-play. The game will hammer this point home, but be sure to actually pick any dialogue options you find funny or interesting. Half the fun in this game is seeing how people react to the inane shit the MC thinks about
Thanks, I love choosing weird dialogue options and seeing where it takes me so I hope I'll enjoy it, heared a lot of good things about it
Wasn't there team drama with the game where the main writer/creator got chased out of their own project?
Yeah a company bought the IP out from under him or something, I never bothered understanding it
za/um got capitalism'd
Might squeeze in one more game that's less than $20. Iffy on world brothers, but I want some more EDF.
There's not much reason to buy a Monster Hunter game without the g-rank expansion if it's out already. These aren't your usual DLCs, it's practically one more of the same game added on top. If you aren't sure if you like the type of game, play the demo.
I'll add Sunbreak then if it adds that much to the game, not my first MH game but I haven't played one since 4U. Thanks for the recommendation anons.
it adds a bunch of new moves you can unlock and of course G rank hardmode
Sunbreak adds quite competent AI companions in hunts in addition to your cats and dogs. They're not an absolute replacement to co-op but watching their competence play out is pretty impressive.
Sunbreak also renders the tower defense mission obsolete and everyone was glad
Sunbreak is considerable step up from base Rise. I'd say either get the bundle or skip Rise altogether
Don't skip on Sunbreak if you're planning on getting Rise. I highly recommend getting the Rise/Sunbreak bundle instead of just the base game
wanted to keep it under 60
You definitely should have gotten the Faith trilogy when it went on sale for Halloween because the price was just a tad better.
Absolute basic b***h cart, but I just didn't have none of these yet
good picks nonetheless
I'm looking for a good, long JRPG with an enjoyable story and satisfying gameplay.
Something like Growlanser on the PSP or Tales of Symphonia on the GameCube.
I need to satisfy my need to weeb
>I'm looking for a good, long JRPG with an enjoyable story and satisfying gameplay.
Live A Live remake.
Tactics Ogre
Atelier series
I heard the remake of Tactics ogre on steam is controversial.
I already played LaL, but what about the Atelier games? There's a couple of them on sale and I wonder if there's a good place to start. Is Ryza good? I hear that one was a meme.
Sounds lovely but it ain't on sale right now at least.
>I heard the remake of Tactics ogre on steam is controversial.
Its not.
Also Yakuza: Like A Dragon is good as well.
anything team asano
The Star Ocean 2 remake that just came out was really good.

just pirate if you're that poor
can a gift anon give me a shadow of mordor code
I think I have a code for both games
Post em
ill take em if youre offering
the first game was the first game I ever pirated, but I never finished it, the second game Ive always wanted to play it looks cool
shadow of mordor:
FDLYT-R4(The letter between R and Y on the keyboard)SE-N0NCN
Shadow of war:
HREBQ-LU9(music board on Ganker)-1GJ2K
tnx
neither work sadly
regional thing or trolling?
Trolling. Keys are invalid.
I claimed Shadow of War lol
The only thing you claimed was the title of "king of all gays"
Maybe on planet moron
Anything on my wishlist I should get? Only wanna get 1 thing though.
Gloomwood will probably be great when it's out, but it's still early access. RE4 was really good and I'd definitely recommend it.
I'd say G String if you're ok with jank.
We're supposed to get an 'Ultimate Edition' at some point though but it doesn't seem like it'll be soon.
How is Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2?
>Only have $10 in hand
>Skyrim or Call to War
It's so hard bros
Dark Messiah is so ridiculously fun it's a crime that I kept it backlogged until this year. Buy it, anon. If you don't mind a little bit of jank, good times are ahead of you.
This. I think Im gonna do another playthrough this time magic only
>Buying purely single-player game
Yep. And I will buy more.
Very rude
I have no friends that game. They all got married, had kids, and don't have time to waste on stupid shit.
I am ugly, stupid, and boring so I never go married and game to keep myself busy and the intrusive thoughts away.
she wasn't calling you a friendless loser. she was telling you to pirate games without online features
>She
Don't mind if I do
>I have no friends that game. They all got married, had kids, and don't have time to waste on stupid shit.
I was literally playing games last night with 2 friends that are married and have kids. Get better friends.
>
Got a problem b***h?
>buying online, free-to-play, pay-to-win, gacha, lootbox, costume games shameless enough to have an upfront cost as well
You will understand when you have a job, Pedro.
You have, of course, beaten all your previous game before rushing to buy more like a zombie?
what if I am only buying dlc for games I haven't finished?
I got this, it’s a lot of fun so far
I stopped playing after a while though, it's just exhausting to have every new zone filled with nothing but miniboss-tier enemies until you manage to level up on them
pirate warriors 4 or fate extella link?
is star ocean 3 remastered any good?
is the darkness 2 any good?
star ocean 4*
Some people have a hate boner for it but the darkness 2 is good, however I'd suggest emulating 1 first if you haven't for story reasons.
Anon, can you buy me skyrim please, pretty please, it's just $10 this time around.
Sent :^)
Is Dark Souls 2 worth buying if I already have SOTFS? I hear the OG version apparently has different enemy placement and is harder. So I was wondering if these changes would make it worth buying
if you owned neither I would say buy the original, but unless you are really desperate for more souls content don't buy a second version of the game. SOTFS is a passable enough dks2 experience
>Is Dark Souls 2 worth
No
Should I grab Pizza Tower? Feels like I missed the boat with the Ganker threads and OCs.
inquisitor martyr w40k
bloons 6
farcry 5
yes or no?
yes
I guess it has gay romances? Only Origins is worth playing, the other two are shit regardless of wokeness
noted, I'll just grab origins then
seethe + ywnbaw
Only Origins is good. Don't buy anything else. Though you can play DA:I for THE BULL memes
2 is designed primarily for consoles
Inquisition plays like a shitty offline mmo
Both are serviceable
I don't know, you should take your chud ass to your containment board though.
Here is your (you)
Also I just discovered that steam suggests its users should filter homosexual shit lol.
DAO is great. There are gay romance options or whatever, but I don't recall there being much of any in-your-face propaganda or anything like that. The sequels you can safely skip. DAI does have some nice story parts and characters and I don't regret playing it, but the game does have a ton of problems.
gee I wonder which one I should get
Chrono Trigger is a shitty port of the mobile phone port.
and it'll still be better than an rpg maker tranime game
I don't even know what Sea of Stars is. I am just straight up saying that you would be much better off emulating Chrono Trigger than getting the cheap cash grab Steam version.
It is the mobile port. I had the mobile port on my phone and bought this because of how much I disliked the mobile port. My disappointment was immeasurable.
No, it's the DS port. I know because played it, it doesn't have mobile layout
i just want to have fun. i know f1 manager is going to be trash but im sick of motorsport manager
any games similar to pic rel?
Enderal
Best part: it's free with Skyrim
This but I recommend getting Skyrim on GOG so you don't get cucked by mandatory internet requirements.
Or just pirate Skyrim
Metro Exodus
Remnant 2
Skyrim
Prey
FEAR
>Dark Souls
It's a game mechanic that is barely utilized unless it's a player-driven mmo like EVE or Albion
is star ocean divine force worth $35? I know I'm in for cringe jank and I'm okay with that.
Is there anything similar to Dragon's crown on PC?
Just emulate their other games
already played them on vita/ps4
just looking for something that scratches that multiplayer itch with my friends
Chronicles of Mystara. I think George from Vanillaware worked on that game too, alot of the systems like the inventory are similar.
>Art
The Vagrant, ASTRLIBRA
>Gameplay with friends
Castle Crashers, Streets of Rage 4
>MW2 isn't on sale
What the frick, why?
You deserve this if you think that game worth giving money
I want a rooty tooty point n shooty and MW3 sucks dick.
Would I like Knights of the Chalice? In terms of DnD adjacent games, I liked the combat in pathfinder and bg2, was indifferent to POE1, and I hated bg3's combat
>I liked the combat in pathfinder and bg2, was indifferent to POE1, and I hated bg3's combat
No. It's peak DnD combat simulator in TB
Anyone have any indie hidden gems they really love? I'm trying to expand beyond my basic b***h taste.
Not really hidden gems but Kenshi, Crystal Project, Underrail, Loop Hero, and Din's Legacy are all really fun games from small studios that don't get a lot of main stream recognition.
Vividlope and The wall mustnt fall
Is Death Stranding worth it? Battlebits?
Battlebits is dead
>hovers around 8k players
Oof, didn't know it was THAT bad. RIP
>Death Stranding
meh, game is about Kojimbo wank
Pretty confident with this, but is there anything worth cutting or for something else?
I got sick recently and also bought my sis Little Goody Two Shoes so I can't snag anything this yr. I'm enjoying the sale vicariously in a blanket cocoon.
Any changes or recs?
Need to trim some but this is what I'm looking at. Thoughts? Recs?
Don't get Euro Trucker unless you are willing to commit on the dozens of expansions you will need to make the game complete.
