Sorry I must have missed your imaginary world where people are paid more and more and profits are less important than giving raises to employees; here in reality wages have been stagnating while inflation and profits both increased immensely, for decades; and in fact a lot of companies look for every way possible to pay people less to the point they're ready to move to the other end of the world where it's allowed!

have you checked out the Tropico series? I never played but I think it would be up your alley.
Just check out tycoon sims in general and find something with a theme you enjoy.
Do I get Warplan or Advanced Tactics Gold? Or none of them. I want a deep wargame, HOI3 was my first "deep wargame" and I really like it.
I'm open to any more recommendations
Advanced Tactics Gold is my favourite multiplayer PVP wargame due to the random map generator and a lot of custom mods/maps from the community.
But if you are going for really deep then you should check out Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 or John Tiller's Campaign Series. I hear the new one, Campaign Series Vietnam, is really great.
>Christmas season
No such thing, unless you are a markleter or a brain-rot zoomer that was brought up by marketing
Bonus points if you ain't Catholic, but still insist on the whole Advent thing
HOI4 with some DLC, or Anno 1800 DLCs from season 2 onwards? Both would cost me roughly 35 bucks, but I'm not sure which of these options will stay fun longer.
Absolutely nothing. Not even due to pirating a lot of games, there just isn't anything worthwhile out there.
I DID buy Rise of the White Star, since it was on sales, but after clocking merely 70 minutes, I've returned it back. Demo was unironically better than the full game, even if you can replay the demo scenario. Been a while since I saw a "finished" beta build of any game that was so broken and half-assed.
All the games I want aren't on sale, so I'll either be pirating them or just playing something else, probably the latter since I've been getting back into Empire Total War lately
I fricking loved this game when I played it a year ago, even did a bunch of the challenge achievements. I suck ass at real RTS/micro so being able to pause is nice and I just fricking love the combo of managing units while combining with base/tower defense and endless waves of shit trying to make its way in. Is there anything else similar at all?
Riftbreaker, sort of. Replace units with towers unfortunately, and give yourself an isometric rpg where you get a mech with guns, grenade launchers, swords and the power to call down an orbital bombardment, but its fun, and very polished.
Yes it's pretty good. I got it last sale and loved it. For reference, I hated Civ 5, still play Civ 4, and had very low expectations for 6 which is why I waited so long to try it.
Civ 6 vanilla is alright, it made a strong first impression (especially that 10/10 intro that the expansion sadly replaces,) but I ended up getting Gathering Storm for it later during the same sale and it made the game way more interesting. Easy to recommend at the current price.
Just bought Combat Mission Shock Force 2.
Honestly I would have rather bought the WW2 games but for some gay fricking reason they're not on Steam and never on sale on their website. Modern warfare is just so fricking gay compared to WW2 era.
Any other Combat Mission respecters on /vst/?
First 3 as in Beyond Overlord, Barbarossa to Berlin, and Afrika Korps?
Those are the only ones still on the outdated CMX1 engine while the newer ones are on an "updated" engine.
But yeah it's still a clunky outdated piece of shit and the developers are israelites for charging full AAA price for something they put no effort into. It's just disappointing as frick that nothing else really competes with Combat Mission (yes I'm aware of Close Combat and games like Armored Brigade, but it's not the same).
>as in Beyond Overlord, Barbarossa to Berlin, and Afrika Korps?
Those three exactly. Barbarossa being my favorite. It's sad that that the series doesn't have any actual competition. Closest one is Gr*viteam Tactics but it's more of a battle simulator for the campaign overlay than a tactical game. Still they managed to at least make a functional engine with autistic levels of detail.
The new Knights of Honor game is fun. It feels a more like a board game in some ways, the systems are clearly less intended to be sim-like. But the pace of the game is good and tight, and I'd say up into the early late game you can feel pressed to make decisions with trade-offs (particularly on harder difficulties). But much like any other GSG or 4x, there is a period in the late game where you've effectively won even if you haven't actually won the game yet, and the prospect of achieving the win looks boring. Although you can set win conditions that make the game end more neatly before that steamroll phase.
Yeah I played it >there is a period in the late game where you've effectively won even if you haven't actually won the game yet
I'd say that this moment arrives almost immediately, in fact. Due to the limited amount of knights, once you have two armies, you've basically reached 100% warmaking potential
I guess it depends on how you play. I wouldn't say the game is "hard" in the sense that you're in danger of really losing, that only really stands to be the case at the start of a very hard game where you're an OPM. But I feel like compared to a GSG like CK3, the process of expansion is actually little more dynamic and with quicker feedback. The situation with neighbor relations can shift around quickly based on whatever conflicts are happening, every 10 minutes or so (going at 6x speed) you may check the relations map and see that friends have become enemies and enemies friends all around you. You have pacts, your spy can set up a war between neighbors or can just tear a country apart with rebellions, the possibility to just enter wars on someone's side to boost relations with them or target a country that is involved, etc. It just generally feels like you're looking at what you can do in a moment with the limited amount of knights you have and playing off of circumstances that are constantly changing because the game is rather fast-paced. Like I said, it's a much more gamey experience, but I think it is refreshing for the genre and generally benefits from it. There is virtually zero role-play potential tho.
If only I had also specified that I simply want to play a good game where I control a country in real time, rather than just using the epic marketing term
Frick, I can't decide, whether to get Timberborn or Against the Storm. I want a city builder where you can frick up and have everyone die (like Song of Syx or W&R) but I also don't want laser-focused plot experience like Frostpunk
Would anyone be willing to sell me on Oxygen Not Included? I liked Amazing Cultivation Simulator but eventually got tired of it and started playing Rimworld. Now I'm starting to get tired of that and want to try a different colony builder.
I'm considering getting the Elder Scrolls Online, is it worth it (base game, 6 euros) and the extra chapters (20 euros for everything released so far)?
I'd mainly do it for some TES lore I could learn about while playing.
>Jupiter Hell
Repetitive but fun DOOM-themed roguelike.
>Eliza
I'm the kind of irredeemable homosexual who actually likes western indie VNs but this shit is dumb as frick. it's 99% linear and the 1% that isn't linear doesn't seem to make any difference apart from a slightly different line of text. For almost every dialogue you literally only have one reply to select which makes the very act of selecting a reply ridiculous. I get it's a whole theme since the game is literally about an AI that tells you what to say, but the complete lack of real interactivity is super anti-fun.
>Atom RPG Trudograd
Haven't tried it yet since I haven't finished the original but I'm reasonably sure I'll like it.
>X4
I might lack the proper kind of autism for this. I'm bored to tears with this game, but then I barely got past the tutorial so far, so I'm witholding judgement for now.
I've heard that release was kinda rough. But it seems they worked out most of the problems, there's gonna be a bug update in January and then they're gonna start working on the first expansion.
Best 4x made so far but absolutely terrible technically (ui is trash, tied to windows because it requires windows media player to run or some stupid reason like that, etc)
DW1 is pretty fun once you're able to get past the obtuse UI. Much of the game runs on autopilot, which allows you to ease into the different systems and mechanics.
I've heard that release was kinda rough. But it seems they worked out most of the problems, there's gonna be a bug update in January and then they're gonna start working on the first expansion.
I hear it's way worse than 1 but that's secondary knowledge
Been thinking about picking up Distant Worlds 2 myself
Last played DW2 half a year ago and it was not great. Gradual loss of performance and memory leaks as you play. Regular crashing. The game's big gimmick is that is 3D, yet makes no moves to take advantage of multiple dimensions in space like Homeworld, you're still playing on on a flat plane. This looks really moronic when fighting near planets, and your fleet splits into two streams to move left/right around a planet to reach enemies on the opposite side. Smaller stuff like the lack of orbiting/planetary rotation is missing. The military aspect is barebones and fleet management is very lacklustre. Research is the exact same as DW1. Diplo is very barren, as planet building/management.
It's a very expensive game for what is largely DW1 wrapped in 3D.
CK3, obviously.
Sengoku is pretty much proto-CK2, but not as good.
I've seen people say Star Dynasties is basically CK2 in space, but I haven't played it myself.
think i might bite the bullet and grab civ VI on ps4 since its on sale for $8. i hate how it looks compared to civ V but i have no PC and im dying for a strategy game
Picked up Field of Glory 2, FOG2Empires and FOG2 Medieval during the sale.
Does anyone have any opinions on the older ones? Sengoku Jidai looks comfy af and Pike and Shot, I've heard a lot of good things. I'm just worried they're gonna feel old and janky & I don't know how bored I'll get vs the ai. I don't have any other burgeoning grognard autists like I am to play w/
Pike and Shot feels quite outdated, it isnt janky but i didnt find it as enjoyable as more modern tiles, also units are displayed as featureless blobs. Sengoku Jidai is ok if you like the period
>I don't have any other burgeoning grognard autists like I am to play w/
You have us, im sure somebody from here would be willing to play FOG2 or FOG2:M
Wargroove is 60% off on the Nintendo eshop, should I bother? I don't care that the multiplayer community is dead, I just want something resembling Advance Wars
Is there a grand strategy where you don't play as a nation and instead play as some sinister cabal secretly trying to take over the world from the shadows?
Hard mode: it has to be good
I tried the demo and it's pretty good, so I'll probably get it, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
I want something set in the real world, where instead of darkness V heroes or whatever there's multiple groups (all the conspiracy classics: Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, MJ12, Shriners, israelites etc) trying to wage a secret war against each other to ultimately become the background world government.
Crusader Kings 3 Royal Edition
Dwarf Fortress
Rimworld (And Royalty and Ideology DLC)
Terraria
Carrier Command 2
Plus about half a dozen Graviteam tactics scenarios for Mius-Front
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition
Non Strategy
No Mans Sky
The Quarry
Resident Evil 1 HD
Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition
Resident Evil 3
Death Stranding
And on Epic
PC Building Simulator 2
Still tossing up getting Terra Invicta as well
So i should have enough to keep me going for a couple of months at least kek
>both sci fi >both feature world generation >both about dealing with morons and their stupid interpersonal dramas
nta all I could think of at the moment
Aggressors: Ancient Rome
Interesting CIV type strategy from indie guys who then evolved the idea into bigger game about greeks
Chaos Reborn
TBS with magic and beast summoning with PvP battles that could be played by Email
Battle Academy
Old funny mobile game
Field of Glory 2/Medieval
Cool tabletop style wargame to play PvP
Any recommendations for quick and lightweight but varied turn based strategy games like Conquest of Elysium with minimalist empire management? I like 4X but feel like that a lot of them become a slog in mid-late game.
Also got Creeper World 4. It's decent, it pretty much feels like CW3. I was hoping it would have more to differentiate from the prior game. The 3D doesn't add much.
I ended up buying Anno 1800+the DLCs. Pretty fun so far. Just got up to artisans. Was looking at Timberborn but I'll hold off on that for now. Anno will keep me busy for a while. Also wtf I did not know you could copy city streets!
I'd recommend Children of the Nile & The Guild 2 for any anons looking for last minute super cheap fun games.
If the point of the Steam Deck was to get me to buy more games then it succeeded. I've bought a bunch of older, miscellaneous games in the last week than I have in years combined. >Ace Combat 7 >Batman Arkham Bundle >Enter the Gungeon >Exit the Gungeon >Shadow of War >Soul Calibur 7 >The Witcher 2
Plays fine. I only played the first mission. I suck but it plays as well as it does on consoles. The look sensitivity seemed a bit high, but I think that's adjustable.
Should I pick up Farthest/Furthest Frontier? The one from the Grim Dawn devs if I got the name wrong.
It's still EA, but afaict it seems to at least have the mechanics in place and not be a bundle of bugs.
I'm looking at it because it reminds me of those Sierra city builders with how it handles the economy/crafting thing, so I'm wondering if anyone here has tried it.
That and it also has customizable difficulty, so sounds like I can ease into it.
I also want to know what kind of endgame it has.
>Should I pick up Farthest/Furthest Frontier?
I got it a few months ago. It is the best banished clone I've played (better even than Banished), but the the frame rate stutters a lot when you drag the map around. They are addressing this, though https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/update-on-the-v0-8-1-update/124023
I've seen that thrown around. But just looking at the store pages I don't really get how it's like Banished. Keeping in mind I haven't played it either.
Like, Banished seems more of a survival city builder while FF looks more traditional. Or is that if I just turn down all the difficulty settings?
>Like, Banished seems more of a survival city builder while FF looks more traditional. Or is that if I just turn down all the difficulty settings?
well you're being more specific than I am. I just call any colony builder set in something that resembles colonial America a Banished a clone.
Is Europa universals a good intro to grand strategy? How does it compare to dominion in terms of depth? EU4. Does anyone besides paradox make some good strategy autism sims? I don't like how greedy they are. On sale the complete DLC for EU4 is still 200$.
>Is Europa universals a good intro to grand strategy?
Honestly no, all of the criticisms of the game that held when it first came out about the stupid abstracted ruler mana system still hold. Since then they've just added more and more submenus with sliders to tinker around with. It's an incredibly dull game and I'd recommend basically any of their other series over it, even Stellaris. >How does it compare to dominion in terms of depth?
It's nothing compared to Dominions in terms of depth, Dominions is incredibly complex with what you can do if you set your mind to it. Just a shame about the AI, that's probably the one thing about paradox games that's better than Illwinter (and that's REALLY saying something, because paradox AI is pretty shit). >Does anyone besides paradox make some good strategy autism sims?
Given that you're already into Dominions, you'd probably like Shadow Empire. The graphics are just as bad, and it's by a one man dev team, but it's an incredible fusion of wargame with sci fi in depth planet generation, weird character RPG political mechanics, all kinds of stuff.
If you're looking to the closest thing to "grand strategy" (just a paradox marketing term btw) but not by paradox, I'd say that would be Field of Glory Empires.

I should have phrased my op a bit better. I just want a wargame that is as good and fun, I'm not ready for GG, too autistic for me.
Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes
I’ve been thinking about getting Terra Invicta but is it actually fun?
The early game on earth is unbelievably boring. I find the space part fun as heck.
>winter sale
Not even christian but it saddens me christians can't call Christmas Christmas
If it was December 24 and 25 only, then I would call it a Christmas sale.
Get fricked Black person it's the Christmas season
>Christmas season
No such thing, unless you are a markleter or a brain-rot zoomer that was brought up by marketing
Bonus points if you ain't Catholic, but still insist on the whole Advent thing
Thinking about The Fertile Crescent but I dislike early access out of principle. I can wait.
Meh. Dropping the pretense of its mainstream form having anything to do with the Nativity is for the better.
>Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront
Is it shit?
It’s a more stable assault squad 2 with more replayability from the conquest mode. Mods also add to the game, I would recommend
Thanks I'm having quite a bit of fun with it and syrian warfare.
HOI4 with some DLC, or Anno 1800 DLCs from season 2 onwards? Both would cost me roughly 35 bucks, but I'm not sure which of these options will stay fun longer.
Both are good. I like them both. But if your into warfare then stick with HOI4. If your into building stuff I say Anno 1800.
>buy the war game if you like war
>buy the building game if you like building
excellent advice
Command and conquer 3 any good?
What about cossacks 3?
both are good, but mind you cossacks 3 is pretty slow compared to normal rts games
anyone played emergency 20? I loved emergency 1-2 but I don't have idea if it' actually worth it.
Worth playing
t. was pleasantly surprised
cheers mate
Absolutely nothing. Not even due to pirating a lot of games, there just isn't anything worthwhile out there.
I DID buy Rise of the White Star, since it was on sales, but after clocking merely 70 minutes, I've returned it back. Demo was unironically better than the full game, even if you can replay the demo scenario. Been a while since I saw a "finished" beta build of any game that was so broken and half-assed.
All the games I want aren't on sale, so I'll either be pirating them or just playing something else, probably the latter since I've been getting back into Empire Total War lately
Any recommendations for ETW mods? At least something to keep the game from freezing due to Istanbul?
I've tried several different ones to make the game work and they just don't
Is They are Billions worth it lads?
Not at its pricetag. Not even the sales one
I thought as much thanks
The game is fine, don't get me wrong. It's just severely overpriced
WHY THE FRICK IS IT NEVER ON SALE
>Wojak poster
>moronic
Glad to see at least some things remain constant.
Stronghold
Riftbreaker, sort of. Replace units with towers unfortunately, and give yourself an isometric rpg where you get a mech with guns, grenade launchers, swords and the power to call down an orbital bombardment, but its fun, and very polished.
Does supreme commander hold up?
It has not been surpassed
Planet Zoo
I'm looking for a strategy game that isn't historical, or Warhammer. Suggestions?
Could you be more specific
No, just looking for whatever just no historical, and no Warhammer.
If I get the money, some DLC's for Gladius or Anno 1800
Bros, Civ 6 is something like $6. Is it worth it at that price? Is it even better than 5?
Civ 6 isn't worth it unless it's the Platinum edition (contains "Rise & Fall" and "Gathering Storm" DLC), and it will never be better than 5.
I have the first 3, I love them and will never buy any of the newer ones only because the engine is shit.
Still they managed to at least make a functional engine with autistic levels of detail.
ok, what jagged alliance I should buy, there is like 4 ja2 on steam
Buy it on GoG
pirate then, thanks
Get it from gog-games
Is AoE4 worth getting now?
Is there any good grand strategy that isn't Paradox? I'm tired of replaying EU3, I just wanna control a country in real time without 10 mana systems
Yeah I played it
>there is a period in the late game where you've effectively won even if you haven't actually won the game yet
The whole GSG thing is literally Paradox marketing gimmick to sell their own games, newbie.
If only I had also specified that I simply want to play a good game where I control a country in real time, rather than just using the epic marketing term
If only you described things you actually want, rather than getting butthurt for being laughed at for being a non-specific newbie...
kek I love projecting tourists
>If only you described things you actually want
>I just wanna control a country in real time without 10 mana systems
Now give me a recommendation or shut up
Frick, I can't decide, whether to get Timberborn or Against the Storm. I want a city builder where you can frick up and have everyone die (like Song of Syx or W&R) but I also don't want laser-focused plot experience like Frostpunk
Anons please help me figure this out
stacklands
good $5 game that is weakly strategic
also picked up sim city 4 for $2
Man, that looks like it would be fun to play on a smartphone but there's zero chance they'll actually port it.
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is 90% down and I bought Dune Spice Wars, pretty cool games
Is AoE 3 DE worth buying? I hear its censored twitter rubbish now though
Are there any games like Rimworld but with a better artstyle or graphics? Is Songs of Syx any good?
Would anyone be willing to sell me on Oxygen Not Included? I liked Amazing Cultivation Simulator but eventually got tired of it and started playing Rimworld. Now I'm starting to get tired of that and want to try a different colony builder.
Should I get the Spellforce 3 bundle? Is it good for single player?
Yeah, it has a full blown singleplayer campaign
The story is not something breathtaking though, quite an average fantasy tale.
I'm considering getting the Elder Scrolls Online, is it worth it (base game, 6 euros) and the extra chapters (20 euros for everything released so far)?
I'd mainly do it for some TES lore I could learn about while playing.
>I'd mainly do it for some TES lore I could learn about while playing.
But ESO raped the Kirkbride lore even harder than WoW raped Warcraft lore??????
How is Age of Empires IV? I am looking for some comfy campaign or skirmishes, I am not interested in multiplayer
Eh. There wasn't anything I really wanted but I bought some stuff anyway like a good consoomer. R8 my haul.
Jupiter Hell is pretty fun so far.
>R8 my haul.
Trudograd is a good choice, neat little RPG
Thoughts so far:
>Dorf Fort
It's Dorf Fort, what can I say.
Is regiments worth getting? Im perfectly fine with no multiplayer
Sure, just pirate it.
If you are ok with HATO-wank because that game is full of it
so the game is more leaning towards realism?
Yo anons how is pic related? I've been eyeing it for a while but it never looked like a $30 kinda game. Is it any good?
Been thinking about picking up Distant Worlds 2 myself
I hear it's way worse than 1 but that's secondary knowledge
I've heard that release was kinda rough. But it seems they worked out most of the problems, there's gonna be a bug update in January and then they're gonna start working on the first expansion.
Best 4x made so far but absolutely terrible technically (ui is trash, tied to windows because it requires windows media player to run or some stupid reason like that, etc)
DW1 is pretty fun once you're able to get past the obtuse UI. Much of the game runs on autopilot, which allows you to ease into the different systems and mechanics.
What's a /vst/ game like ck2 with a strong focus on characters?
Old World? Maybe Knights of Honor 1 or 2. That space CKII game?
CK3, obviously.
Sengoku is pretty much proto-CK2, but not as good.
I've seen people say Star Dynasties is basically CK2 in space, but I haven't played it myself.
KoDP
Not sure if I should grab Vic3
think i might bite the bullet and grab civ VI on ps4 since its on sale for $8. i hate how it looks compared to civ V but i have no PC and im dying for a strategy game
is the sound track at least as good as civ V?
also is the game still worth playing without the expansions?
Just got EU4 for $10
Is there a grand strategy where you don't play as a nation and instead play as some sinister cabal secretly trying to take over the world from the shadows?
Hard mode: it has to be good
Shadows of Forbidden Gods but it's still early access
I tried the demo and it's pretty good, so I'll probably get it, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
I want something set in the real world, where instead of darkness V heroes or whatever there's multiple groups (all the conspiracy classics: Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, MJ12, Shriners, israelites etc) trying to wage a secret war against each other to ultimately become the background world government.
>(all the conspiracy classics: Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, MJ12, Shriners, israelites etc)
sounds like a good spin on Civ
easy mode: Secret Government
hard mode: Shadow Government Simulator
I bought the following strategy games
Crusader Kings 3 Royal Edition
Dwarf Fortress
Rimworld (And Royalty and Ideology DLC)
Terraria
Carrier Command 2
Plus about half a dozen Graviteam tactics scenarios for Mius-Front
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition
Non Strategy
No Mans Sky
The Quarry
Resident Evil 1 HD
Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition
Resident Evil 3
Death Stranding
And on Epic
PC Building Simulator 2
Still tossing up getting Terra Invicta as well
So i should have enough to keep me going for a couple of months at least kek
if you like what rimworld is doing but want a strategy game version of it, buy shadow empire
thanks anon, just grabbed it as well, never saw it before and it sounds like something i'm gonna really enjoy
How are you comparing Rimworld to Shadow Empire?
>both sci fi
>both feature world generation
>both about dealing with morons and their stupid interpersonal dramas
nta all I could think of at the moment
Skip Terra simply for how bad the early game is.
Aggressors: Ancient Rome
Interesting CIV type strategy from indie guys who then evolved the idea into bigger game about greeks
Chaos Reborn
TBS with magic and beast summoning with PvP battles that could be played by Email
Battle Academy
Old funny mobile game
Field of Glory 2/Medieval
Cool tabletop style wargame to play PvP
Superpower 3 not on sale? damn. it's not worth more than $1
Any recommendations for quick and lightweight but varied turn based strategy games like Conquest of Elysium with minimalist empire management? I like 4X but feel like that a lot of them become a slog in mid-late game.
even conquest of elysium still has terrible late game tedium when you're mopping up
At least it's turns are quick since there's minimal need to any more management.
Got Against the Storm. It's very good.
Also got Creeper World 4. It's decent, it pretty much feels like CW3. I was hoping it would have more to differentiate from the prior game. The 3D doesn't add much.
Any thoughts about cosmoteer? Yea I know 10% off is not sale.
I was looking at zero sievert but the early access tag is keeping me at bay. Cant find anything similar, have any of you guys tried it?
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/STYeZ4WtKk4
I ended up buying Anno 1800+the DLCs. Pretty fun so far. Just got up to artisans. Was looking at Timberborn but I'll hold off on that for now. Anno will keep me busy for a while. Also wtf I did not know you could copy city streets!
I'd recommend Children of the Nile & The Guild 2 for any anons looking for last minute super cheap fun games.
good choice, it's best anno since 1404
If the point of the Steam Deck was to get me to buy more games then it succeeded. I've bought a bunch of older, miscellaneous games in the last week than I have in years combined.
>Ace Combat 7
>Batman Arkham Bundle
>Enter the Gungeon
>Exit the Gungeon
>Shadow of War
>Soul Calibur 7
>The Witcher 2
How is ace combat on the deck?
On sale the complete DLC for EU4 is still 200$.
>never played GSG
>wants to drop $200
maybe just buy the base game and pirate some shit
I never said that once anon I was criticizing the company for it.
If you're looking to the closest thing to "grand strategy" (just a paradox marketing term btw) but not by paradox, I'd say that would be Field of Glory Empires.
if you are newb into gsg try Knights of Honor (2)
Picked
>Advanced Tactics Gold
Hex wargame, just got to try to convince some friends to drop 9€ on it too.
>Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds
Cheap nostalgia, and I want to try out mods.
>Summoners Fate
Obviously Duelyst inspired single player roguelike. Demo felt fun which made me bite early access bullet.
>Against the Storm
Another early access bullet bitten, but the devs seem committed and competent enough to not frick it up in this stage anymore.
>Prime of Flames
Tactical Fire Emblem inspired combat with warbands of cute tribal 2D girls.
I've never before had so many issues with buying games, the sales for indie games just sucks ass
