I refuse to upgrade to new tech until it's been completely standardized, I can settle for less, but what I hate is inconsistency. Until every console can handle native 4k no problem and this "choose performance/quality mode" bullshit dies out I'm sticking to 1080p.
It's easier to see and reach when it's in the middle, ultrawide monitors are one of the reasons why MS moved the start menu to the the middle of the screen.
My new 1080p 75hz monitor has a stuck pixel bros, it is only a month old, i did everything i could to fix it, i will be without a monitor for about a week if i try to refund (and i dont think 1 stuck pixel is enough for a refund.
Frick life, this aint funny.
for me it's a 1360x768 tv I got for free from walmart. they sent 3 of them to me on accident and I got to keep all of them, and I didn't even order a tv in the first place.
1080p 60fps is all i need. anything more is unnecessary and a waste. 4k is pointless because we have already hit massive diminishing returns.
this but at 75Hz for me
>1680 x 1050
>1440x900
yep and there's nothing you can do about it

With the prices for GPU nowadays? Hell yes I'm staying with 1080p. No fricking way I'm giving those israelites $800 for a mid tier card.
>not using an super-ultrawide in current year +5

I literally cannot tell the difference between 1080p, 1440p and 4k
Based and shit eyesightpilled.
I thought games looked way better than they actually did until I got glasses and a better tv.
