The Deck is fantastic but I still play online on Switch as shitty as it is. Mainly play Smash, MK8 and Tranimal Crossing every now and then. Literally no reason to own the Xbox when PC exists and Horizon and Spiderman just doesn't interest me enough to justify getting their console.
This implies every game works and works well. They do not, despite what the gays at Yuzu would tout.
Can you play multiplayer nintendo games with the deck? I mostly use the switch to play Mario Kart and Splatoon with my old college buddies

I mean, surely the Switch is coming the end of its life. It's been out five years already. Probably only has another one or two left in it.
That said, providing Nintendo doesn't frick it up and releases a more powerful and backward-compatible version of the same concept, it'll probably hold going forward. I really regret getting a PS5 and Series X as they are utterly superfluous, especially the latter. At least the PS5 kind of has Final Fantasy games going for it, especially as Square-Enix seems to be moronic at moving those to PC.

This almost certainly won't happen, Nintendo has shoved a brand new gimmick into every new console they've made. All we can hope for is it's a good gimmick and not something awful like the GamePad or pre-MotionPlus Wiimote controls.
I think the switch 2 or super switch will not be as successful. Also, Nintendo has to be wary that steam won't get them out of business.
Nintendo don't worry about that for the same reason Steam hasn't put Xbox or PlayStation in the ground: normies.

You can emulate Switch games. There's bo point to owning one. The only current console with any games at all that you can't play on a PC is the PS5. Whether said games are worth owning a PS5 to play is another matter.

Who the frick plays games on the go though? Like seriously, what functioning adult takes a game with him places? If I'm driving I can't play, if I'm at work I can't play, if I'm traveling I'm enjoying the experience with family/friends and not cooping myself up with video games. So when would I ever need a switch? If im at home and want to play some mario im going to emulate it on my PC at higher framerates and resolution and have fun. If im not at home, I probably dont have time to play video games. If im taking a shit i have time to maybe make a post or two on Ganker, not play a game.
Hell when i have kids im not going to get them a portable system, that shit will get stolen or destroyed because I was that moron that took my gameboy to school only for the Black person to steal it or the teacher to take it away.
