I wouldn't say she's broken, since she only really shines late game when you have access to all the high tier combo spells and ways to shorten cast time. But once you do she's definitely one of your top sources of DPS, maybe even higher than reigning slash chad.
Also her boost attack is extremely useful (second only to Alphen) since it cancels any artes being cast for every enemy on the map.
I can't speak for Philia or Malik, but Rinwell had an easier time speed-casting than Rita does. Rita's spells combo better though.
Rinwell's air attacks are easier to pull-off than her ground-based ones and are more fun to use. Speed-casting into charged spells is a lot of fun, especially when you mix in boost strikes to increase your AG to fire off more spells.
Overall, Rita is better, but Rinwell can shit damage to if the enemy is downed. Penetration is good on her for the critical boost as that will help you combo more.
>Blah, Blah, Blah, I LOVE SHIONNE >Blah, Blah, Blah, I AM LONELY >Blah, Blah, Blah, MY DADDY DIED >Blah, Blah, Blah, I AM STILL A SUBMISSIVE SLAVE >Blah, Blah, Blah, I LIKE OLD THINGS AND I AM BORING
Tales of Arise characters are completely one dimensional and the story is shit. Most boring cast in the entire main series.
>Tales of Arise characters are completely one dimensional and the story is shit
Especially in a genre known for its good writing and fleshed out three dimensional characters too!
Still, him and Shionne are by far the best part of the cast, Rinwell was also good, Law was good until the wind realm where he goes full moron cuz "muh hatred in your eyes", Kisara is the worst by far.
Weird how relatively plain generic main character and heroine that is into the main character even if inititally a bit tsundere work so well while the most extravagant characters were generally so uninteresting
>Dohalim goes schizo for no fricking reason in the quarry and attacks us and we never see him again >Kisara's brother killed himself because Dohalim wouldn't trust him >Then Dohalim is suddenly very rational taking control of his realm alone >"Actually nevermind it's totally not your fault by brother killed himself"
This really should have been the story of Alphen, Law, Rinwell and Shionne, I don't give a shit about Kisara and Dohalim and the fruit plot was laughable and moronic
>Kisara's brother killed himself because Dohalim wouldn't trust him
He killed himself because he was literally terminal, he was going to turn into sludge anyway at some point, he just opted to do it sooner rather than later to prove that the silver shit in the lake was actually liquified corpses since while Dohalim was coping by denying it at first, he was still right when he said that shit about how the guy was ultimately a Dahnan with no education on matters of Astral energy, so he provided cold hard proof with his life.
But they are both based after leaving the 3rd realm, so it's really just a few cutscenes worth of cringe. Also they have some of the best skits later on.
>Burning a supposedly helpless lady is not the same as striking someone who just nullified an entire city.
shes not a helpless lady, she was the lord that enslaved and tortured them and their families for years. their hatred was as much justified as rinwell's was, which is why Law was correct in stopping her because they didnt know what the frick would happen.
Continue on with the adventure of taking down the lords, saving the world, paling around with Dohalim and being inspired to become a historian, just like she did without being the one who directly killed Almeidrea, a happily ever after just like Law had even though he got to body Ganabelt.
>he goes full moron cuz "muh hatred in your eyes"
I mean, the party just witnessed more than a hundred people literally liquified because of their hatred, doesn't that make you think that maybe, just maybe you might not want the same thing to happen to your friend?
It's beatable, but you have to grind levels AND use a very specific build on Alphen, since most of your party's damage comes from him alone.
That said, you can tank the boss' ougi even underleveled on hard. Equip light damage -50% accessories and do try to kill at least one clone, since that reduces the boss' ougi damage by a good amount.
>it has no affect on you
You don't even know english.
And yes it does affect me since I have to read your empty skull posts about charatcers being annoying or saying this or that when they didn't in the original dub.
I can't decide what party composition is the best. I'm currently in that area after you get the shield lady and that staff lord, where everything is blown up. I'm currently using Alphen as my main character, with the healer girl, fist dude and then I switch between the shield girl and Rinwell (yes, I'm terrible with names), but I can't decide which one is the best.
I have to say I was kinda disappointed in the game. Finished at 31 hours on moderate and that's doing a lot of skits and most side quests. Half the game is easily just cutscenes and dialog, what the frick were they thinking?
Game looks good and the visual presentation is pretty nice but that's it. The last 5 hours or so when you get to Lenegis I just wanted the game to be over.
Way too much dialog
Yeah its pretty much agreed that the endgame is rushed af. Like you have random NPCs non-chanlantly doing lore dumps, and the final dungeon is just copy pasted twice.
But I am giving it a pass just for how fricking good the ending was.
But I am giving it a pass just for how fricking good the ending was.
I'm kinda thankful the final dungeon was just a bunch of fights, because coming from Destiny DC's final dungeon I just didn't feel like dealing with puzzles or getting lost. I like how the final transporter shortcut only gets unlocked if you fight all the battles before it.
That said, I do agree that the final part of the game had a bunch of exposition and way too much dialogue about shit that was hard to care about because I just wanted to get back to the gameplay.
>Part 2 of the game starts >Talk to a bunch of people and eventually gain the ability to go to space >Get to Lenegis and get a bunch of skits >And then more cutscenes >And then you walk a little bit and get 4 more skits instead of just consolidating all of this into another cutscene >Finally get a mini-dungeon that you can fight enemies in, get to the end and kill the boss >More cutscenes, instead of teleporting you to your ship they make you walk all the way back >Even more cutscenes and 2 minute long skits >Actual fricking space station where the crew does the typical "night before the final boss" talks because it's Tales >Get to the final dungeon >The game literally can't stop pouring more exposition skits down your throat
Bro what the FRICK. I had a good time with the game, but Jesus frick control your pacing better. I had an actual hour and 30 minutes of cutscenes before I was allowed to fight bad guys again.
They really should have kept these cool menu screens per act throughout the game. They look really nice and it helps put focus on the current story and had a post game menu too.
Too fricking tanky. I played most of the game on hard and after beating Edna on hard I've dropped it to normal for bosses.
I'm actually getting tempted to drop to story so I can finish it faster and move on to another game.
it's neither of those things anon (you literally dont need to overlevel), its just called not being shit at the game and using the games system properly so you dont start inventing complaints because you're too dumb to do damage properly.
Most of the dungeons were lame. The Symphonia 'maze' map would have been more neat if it were longer. The way the game skyrockets you from Level 55~ to Level 91 through the six zones was insulting.
The brother and sister bosses were tedious health sponges.
The final superboss was lame and easy.
What the postgame should have had was a new fishing spot with super 4-Star Fish Bosses that made catching them with even the Tenebrae Rod a challenge. Now that would have been a real boss fight.
>The way the game skyrockets you from Level 55~ to Level 91 through the six zones
Where's that? The moronic downscaled exp gain to incentivize the p2w microtransactions is annoying as frick.
How broken is Rinwell compared to spell monsters in previous games like Philia, Rita, and Malik?
Didn't use her much directly, but she constantly brings mobs up to the ground for me to combo, and her boost attack is broken asf
I wouldn't say she's broken, since she only really shines late game when you have access to all the high tier combo spells and ways to shorten cast time. But once you do she's definitely one of your top sources of DPS, maybe even higher than reigning slash chad.

You are moronic, "Blah, blah, blah, Magic" is what she says when she is speedcasting in combos
I wouldn't know, I don't play in inferior trash dub.
>get ousted as moronic
>w-well I play Japanese
You're still moronic.

God. To think we thought he gonna be some edgelord bc of his armor.
Still, him and Shionne are by far the best part of the cast, Rinwell was also good, Law was good until the wind realm where he goes full moron cuz "muh hatred in your eyes", Kisara is the worst by far.

Honest question, what do you think Rinwell would do once she kills Almawhatevershe'scalled?
Ethnically cleanse Rena because she is based
Burning a supposedly helpless lady is not the same as striking someone who just nullified an entire city. It was a moronic way to push the message.
>This really should have been the story of Alphen, Law, Rinwell and Shionne
I completely agree
>Burning a supposedly helpless lady is not the same as striking someone who just nullified an entire city.
shes not a helpless lady, she was the lord that enslaved and tortured them and their families for years. their hatred was as much justified as rinwell's was, which is why Law was correct in stopping her because they didnt know what the frick would happen.
Rena is a dead planet, anon. And Renans are of the same exact race as Dahnans, so there can't be any ethnical cleansing. Frick off.
>t. Renan propagandist
>*stares at your early life wikipedia section*
>"would you look at that... born from a Renan family, it says"
Anon please frick off, Rena doesn't even exist
Continue on with the adventure of taking down the lords, saving the world, paling around with Dohalim and being inspired to become a historian, just like she did without being the one who directly killed Almeidrea, a happily ever after just like Law had even though he got to body Ganabelt.

>Dohalim: I'm just speculating here, but [confirmed lore dump]
I'm liking the game, but how is narrative in Japanese vidya so bad?
>Second lord has an unbeatable DPS check
What the frick
just beat it tho

Dubgays get the rope
I LOVE that a simple thing such as voices can trigger the frick out of morons like you. Autism.
>simple thing
It's an essential thing to the portrayal of charcters.
A different voice can change the entire personality.
And? You're still getting upset people are fine with English when it has no affect on you.
>it has no affect on you
You don't even know english.
And yes it does affect me since I have to read your empty skull posts about charatcers being annoying or saying this or that when they didn't in the original dub.
I can see it affected you, you're still seething like frick over nothing.
I'll make sure to post about blah blah blah in other Arise threads knowing it'll upset both of you.
Of course you will, you are a mutt after all.
Your entire culture consists of warping and destorying good things.
>a mutt
Nope.
>America
>Destroying good things
Maybe our medical and entertainment industries.
It's like 1/3 of the experience of the game, if not more. And given the option, only morons who can't read choose English voices
those eyes make me horny
I want to nakadashi Rinwell
I can't decide what party composition is the best. I'm currently in that area after you get the shield lady and that staff lord, where everything is blown up. Honestly i felt the same. The final dungeon fricking sucked as well.
The 1v1 with Vholran at the end was alright but it didn't exactly salvage the experience of the final act in general.
Yeah its pretty much agreed that the endgame is rushed af. Like you have random NPCs non-chanlantly doing lore dumps, and the final dungeon is just copy pasted twice.

Frick Dycroft, i swear that place took a whole third of the game
>More cutscenes, instead of teleporting you to your ship they make you walk all the way back
This annoyed me because the cutscene happens exactly where the fast travel point is so there was zero reason to not let us just fast travel there.
Why did so many morons that only played the most western shit ever choose to try Arise as their first JRPG?
Cute!
>Law was forced to wear it, but did so gladly
Perfect couple
They really should have kept these cool menu screens per act throughout the game. They look really nice and it helps put focus on the current story and had a post game menu too.
Rinwell's nails are kinda freaky in this outfit
Give me your thoughts on the postgame and the postgame dungeon and bosses now
Too fricking tanky. I played most of the game on hard and after beating Edna on hard I've dropped it to normal for bosses.
I'm actually getting tempted to drop to story so I can finish it faster and move on to another game.
you can like 3 shot the hardest boss with crits and the right accessories on hard anon
What are the best effects for accessories? Just stacking penetration?
penetration stack is great, for rinwell pick an element and stack that, for alphen stack fire all the way
it's neither of those things anon (you literally dont need to overlevel), its just called not being shit at the game and using the games system properly so you dont start inventing complaints because you're too dumb to do damage properly.
>you can break the game with overleveling and cheesing
No shit, moron

Rinwell: Law dick best dick
How are all of the costumes so good?
God I love Shionne.
Must protect
Prettiest Tales girl
