      He was fine, just stressed out and dealing with invading a well defended planet personally, going through a civil war, having all of his subordinates die on him and getting infected by a parasite that can speak through you, among other things.

      It can be done well, Ozymandias managed to avoid a nuclear war by turning the world's attention to an alien invasion that never really existed.
      He killed a lot of people. but the war he averted would have been worse.
