they decided to rewrite the whole project in c++, because they felt that java isn't future proof for performance. thats why it got delayed so hard. also riot acquired the studio and they probably want their own big minecraft, so they want it to be really good.
Well, it was meant to release in 2020 but then Riot bought them out and wanted it on mobile.
So they scrapped the whole thing and started to rewrite the code from scratch in C++ instead of Java.
And here we are today.
7 years out from the trailer and still no game. All because Tencent (they own Riot) wants their chink subjects to be able to play it on commute to their factories.
>giant map (really giant) >zombies work >lots of loot >lots of skills >cars >multiplayer
what exactly is the problem? that game is way more feature-complete than valheim and it got a lot of updates over the years
you fricking Black person are too moronic to come up with challenges in a SANDBOX game, not my fault. try make all zombies sprinting, give your character more crippling traits, try to 1v1000 a horde. watch zombieland, they aim for the kill of the month because they got bored with zombies, or they autistically search for a twinkie
>Spend 10 hours grinding ores, then do it again for the next tier but this time it takes twice as much.
I'm convinced the only reason this game got popular is because of the base building mechanic.
For me it was the sailing and discovering new lands to settle. Actually capturing some of that Norse spirit. Early game is insanely cozy in the meadows too. The game falls off once you hit the iron grind
You have your entire life to release the game and 6 months to patch it into perfection
>game's perpetually unfinished
>still mogs every other multiplayer survival game
i wonder if cubeworld will update in my lifetime
I still can't believed I got scammed TWICE
how the frick did he do it
Wrong pic.
THIS is what you meant right?
What happened to this game? Is it an actual game or is it like star citizen and only exists to steal money from donations to give back to investors?

yandere simulator will be feature complete within ... this much i swear to you!
what's that space game that never came out?
scam citizen?
Yep, that's the one
they cookin
hold on
The two extremes.
Terraria
>Devs "finish" the game
>They keep putting out updates, saying its done for real this time
>It never is
Valheim
>Devs never finish the game
>They keep promising the next update is coming
>It never does
the unfinished game is actually entertaining
then why haven't you played it in the last 3 years?
You're like a baby. Watch this.
i miss the original demo
i was sold this game on the promise of smothering my wife and molotoving hoards of slow shuffling zombies
Same. The game had a lot of soul back then.

Frick off, Lemmy.
He's right though. I certainly wouldn't say this before cars, but now it's pretty complete.
Frick you too, EnigmaGrey.
There is nothing to do once you are somewhat self sustaining, which doesn’t take long even as a new player.

yeah all that sounds VERY fun
You don't understand. Dev's laptop got stolen 10 years ago.
>7 Days to Die released Dec. 13, 2013
>Launching into 1.0 in June
What're some other long-running early access games?
1.0? and still no bandits I am guessing?
They should buy another office horse to increase productivity.
Alright, real talk. Has anyone here tried the new update? I was kind of disappointed by mistlands. Is ashlands better? The trailer made it look cool
I'm waiting for it to officially release instead of public beta.
Then we'll see.

The combat is high tier for the genre as well.
