Truth, nearly no mods except for very few weapons and slightly improved graphics, no sprinting which makes the game a walking simulator unless you play with commands and make movement tolerable.
Dialogues are actually pretty good and are dependent on what perks you have which is sad that they didn't keep it and story is whatever. It's funny how quickly you finish the main questline and then just frick around in the desert doing whatever, the game seems almost pointless after main quest but everyone can find their own fun.

The Fallout 4 mod scene has guns ported from Call of Duty, poorly-made BodySlide presets, and character face tweaks. There are barely any decent quest mods even seven years on. It's a travesty.
I'm willing to beat at least half of the mods that port guns from CoD or make their own have a quest to get said gun. I actually unironically hate it when modders do this btw. I also hate when they put a gun in Doc Mitchell's house in New Vegas. The best way to do a gun mod is either add it to leveled lists (works for both NV and Fo4) or make it a craft able item (might work for NV, but a hassle to do. Works perfectly for 4).

Dark Souls is such a unique game it's part of it's own genre. Now that is a good game. There's nothing that hasn't been done before in New Vegas. Fallout 3 had the same gameplay, Fallout 1&2 had the same writing. It's not even unique in it's series. At least Fallout 4 and 76 added to the series.

difficulty isnt the only outdated part of fromsoft's games. But still they did add some unfair parts in dark souls 1. Like backstabing, that ball at the staircase in the asylum, that barrel in undead burg, the hellkit drake, blighttown and a bit more.

The narrative will fully account for your refusal to follow it, it feels so liberating compared to something like, say, Dragon Age: Origins, where as a city elf you are forced into marriage then into prison then into Gray Wardens then into savig the world and wiping everyone's asses and so on, and your only choises are either whose ass you want to wipe or how angsty you want to act while you're wiping someone else's ass. You're a puppet of the narrative, and getting to choose which string gets tugged is below my standards for what a real RPG should be like.
