It's not the final year. Notice how Nintendo and multiple 3rd parties have all announced multiple major Switch games for 2025. Even 2025 multiplats like Civilization 7 have announced Switch versions. There is no way the Switch 2 is releasing any earlier than 2026.
The switch is releasing next year, there will be a few games releasing on both system much like breath of the wild and twilight princess did. I bet Metroid Prime 4 will be one. And there is a good chance that what we saw of MP4 today was running on the new system.

The Switch is like the PS2. The install base is too large for them to drop support the moment a new system comes out. We'll be getting new releasses on it for years.
