You used to be able to purchase the premium pass using the tokens obtained by paying or playing ranked multiplayer.
They're removing that in favor of only a direct payment option.
Don't forget there's gonna be 2 golden passes now (one at the beginning and the 2nd one mid-season), season tour will lock you out of chapters after a period of time passes and even a 3rd pass is being made for the previous seasons called the vault pass, also the worst change by far was locking you out of every character from local play.
