Legends sucked. Only the catching was fun.
The appeal of Pokemon is more like the adventure and monster raising than the difficulty, though if you wanted difficulty you can get it in battle facilities and multiplayer. Getting gym badges and becoming champion is simple but it's a nice sense of progression.
They're marketing these games as being the first open world Pokemon games so I'm pretty interested in what they do differently.

"raising" is a thing of the past you have to skip almost every trainer unless you want to just fly through the game with one pokemon and one move while the rest of you party levels up without ever using them.

nobody plays for difficulty period. they just want a game where you are forced to use more than one pokemon and one move. they shouldnt be forced into some MLG pokemon to do this LMAO

Legends was pretty awesome. S/V might be too. Nemona is pretty attractive too. And the new pokemon shown don't look terrible.
Yeah their track record is pretty terrible. But it could be good. My interest is piqued enough to keep my eyes on the games.

I'm playing sword now on yuzu for the firs time, with some mod that makes gyms and rivals have strong parties of six. For example, Ness had Gyarsdos that schooling fish whale, some sword torpedo new Pokémon, peliper, some new weird new water Pokémon, and that turtle but the turtle turned gigantamax when it wasn't supposed to? Idk. But anyway, the game is honestly kino right now. I hated it for the first hour because of the rival never shutting the frick up, but I've been rally enjoying it since. Yeah I'm playing a difficulty mod so it's not the same and yeah the graphics are shit and pathetic but it's way better than Sun and Moon so far
I really don't like the designs though. The electric dog is cool but the eyes utterly ruin it. Every new design is lime this or just random shapes.

PLA was a nice change of pace and its enough of a foundation that S/V will at least be different from the bullshit that was SW/SH so at least that is a positive. I dont think itll be amazing but it might at least be fun

swsh was so boring i didn't even finish it, didn't bother trying arceus. i didn't finish sun either. i'm pretty much done with the franchise: i don't even care about how easy this shit has gotten, it's just the game world is so goddamn sterile. there's nothing to find, there's no element of mystery. any branches from the linear route you walk down to the next area end 2 inches from the main path. no secret areas or anything. awful.
I stopped playing after BW2 so I think now that 4 player co-op has been added might make it more fun with friends
