Its honestly what I prefer, after smash ultimate i just never want to feel hope again. its just unpleasant

It probably will be the last good one in the series. The other ones will have weird gimmicks and just feel different. Sort of like how every paper Mario after ttyd has felt off and been okay just not great

At the very least it's almost guaranteed they'll cut most the roster and at that point why even play?
They'll probably try to justify it with new "Super Final Smashes!" or something to spice things up but it just won't feel the same without everyone here.
I'm fully expecting that this next character will be the final character for my final game, and that's why I'm so invested in it.

Nintendo will throw away a system selling franchise whose sales have increased every single entry for no reason.

there will be more. they'll just always be propped up and compared against Ultimate and its incredible roster.

Ultimate Deluxe will likely be the smash game. What they do beyond that is still in question I don't doubt their have another entry to the franchise.
