I love it but in the "it could really use a remake" type of way. The core idea has great potential. The execution could use a do-over. Gamma is way better than SA2's mechs. Amy controls better than Sonic. Tails' story serves no purpose (though "I wanna fly high" is a bop)

It has a lot of action pieces but the story is really stupid and not well put together when you get in the nitty gritty. Sonic adventure by comparison has a more logical flow to why things happen and why characters act and are where they are.
It's a downgrade from SA1. For some reason Gamma's sections are now 1/3 of the game, the treasure hunting has been padded out and the levels are larger, and the speed levels are jankier.
Also the nerfed emerald radar sucks, the nerfed radar should’ve been a 5th mission hard mode thing imo.

SA2 would’ve been the highest note to end the series off on honestly and there are a couple of games post SA2 that I like from the 2000s but I don’t care much for the 2010s aside from Colors if I’m being nice, and Generations.

I had fond memories of playing it on 9/9/99 but played it again recently after I got an Xbox Series X for backwards compatible games and didn't like it.
