The other one they made with giant robots fighting bug kaiju.
Really fun
Spelunky 2 I guess
Into the breach desperately needs DLC. With all the ideas they apparently had it seems like there could be so much more
I will agree it's really fun. But I think it doesn't come close to the masterpiece FTL is.
Into the breach
> very rare possibilities to get upgrades after fight
> no side quests or deeper story
> no pacifist/stealth playthrough possible
I will give to them that the puzzle approach to fights is very well done
frick i havent done this. I must
>FTL came out the day after my friends' wedding.
>They have three non-bastard children already.
>Holy frick, they got married over 9 years ago.
FRICK YOU, TIME!
anon.. you have at least acquired a girlfriend during all that time, right?
Into the Breach (brainlets call it a puzzle for some reason)
multiverse
I liked Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, Spelunky HD, Nuclear Throne, Rimworld and Hollow Knight.
Sure I forgot some.
It's better than Captains edition, but I'm still not that big of a fun of multiverse.
The best part about FTL to me was how well balanced the game was on Hard when it came to difficulty. Usually, unless you play the top/bottom 3 ships, you'd barely get enough scrap to make it to the end and kill the boss.
That's something that goes out the window when you introduce like 200 ships and add certain augments that you can add every single run by upgrades.
Are you saying Multiverse is too easy or too hard on hard mode? Because I think that the game is well-balanced on its own, in that it provides a very consistent reward-structure (e.g. the starting bonuses you can choose from, selling to the travelling merchant, all the worlds with pre-determined rewards).
I'm saying it's not well balanced enough, and stuff like the starting option that gives you a weapon is a mistake.
Part of the hard ships being challenging in the base game, like Rock A, was making due with a shitty weapon setup. If the game gave you a basic laser at the start that would immediately invalidate said challenge cause a decent weapon is all that ship needs to succeed.
I also think stuff like laying traps and augment upgrades that are always available are giant mistakes, and I don't like the introduction of the reputation mechanic.
There's no game that's similar to FTL sadly.
Spelunky HD is still a masterpiece in game design though, there's nothing like starting out being absolute garbage and getting better to the point you're doing ghost runs to go for high scores.
Rimworld has so many mods there's always something you can do.
>There's no game that's similar to FTL sadly.
The frick? There were countless FTL rip-offs hitting Steam after its release. One of them even made it semi-big.
>There's no game that's similar to FTL sadly.
My mistake, I should have added *good game.
holy shit, im so depressed that none of these spark any joy in me anymore. I fricking hate life
>holy shit, im so depressed that none of these spark any joy in me anymore. I fricking hate life
install 7daystodie, crank up the difficulty to max (max zombie speed, max difficulty etc.) and then play self-enforced perma-death.
in rimworld also play on highest difficulty.
you need to play games that cheese you to death. this is the only thing that sparks enjoy joy in me to keep trying.
my other option was esports, but i made a decision to not touch multiplayer games anymore, cause they are designed to milk money from you and they are way too life-consuming.
Forgot Oxygen not included and don't starve.
Both of them are pretty decent and quite unique.
Which one of those you liked the most?
I have played all of them. Nothing quite satisfies the itch as FTL did for me. Darkest Dungeon probably came closest, but I was super disappointed when you can't participate in easy dungeons as lvl 4 character. Meaning lvl 4s can only go into medium dungeons, get slaughtered (with some survivors). Rinse and repeat.
Slay the Spire, I guess, started the whole card aspect for indie games, but I didn't think Slay the Spire was anywhere close to impressive itself.
name a few. please. I am dying of boredom.
>name a few. please. I am dying of boredom
rimworld, factorio, the forest, minecraft, dont starve, terraria, kenshi, empyrion galactic survival, 7daystodie, project zomboid
indie gaming has been a total shitshow after ~2014 and when steam direct became a thing. the only good indie games are the ones that started dev before 2014 and still get occasional updates
uhh bros?
i like darkwood
so wait, what is this multiverse. Is it more like rpg, where you can go all around the galaxy sectors in whatever order you want and revisit ones you missed? Or it is linear like original?
rain world
unique survival simulator where you roleplay as animal in the lower side of the food chain.
NOita
pure wizard autism simulator.
Where do I download Multiverse and how do I install it? I love the base game so much.

the installation instructions are there
Thanks
Actually I have only been able to beat it on hard with Slug C. I love slugs so much. I want to be friends with slugs.
Consider going for that then, hard is like a whole another game when it comes to resource management.
>I love the base game so much.
Have you beaten the game with every ship on hard already you filthy casual?
