This is a fun little rogue-lite turn based strategy game where you customize and upgrade mechs in a campaign of several missions. You can get it for like $.99 on steam rn. Graphics might not be everyone’s cup of tea but the pixel art animations are very good
It is called mainframe defenders

It has 100 followers on twitch, i’m curious if any of you guys know about this. There are a couple players on YouTube you can see if you would like the style of the game. I personally think it is severely underrated and should be enjoyed by more people
reminds me of picrel
Game?
Laser Squad, one of the pre xcom games the xcom guy made
>indie pixels
hard pass
The art is gud
I just started playing it recently and usually misplay and get swarmed. Still learning exactly how to deal with every unit the most efficiently
Based
I don’t know but it looks similar on the surface. I will play bionic dues tonight and let you know
I played it before, it was fun if repetitive. The last missions could be bullshit, depending. I haven't played the modern version(I believe they changed it from 4 to 5 sets of levels and modified the way some things work), but it's probably more annoying in some respects because I think they nerfed some stuff. It'd be good if there was a sequel to it.
>fun but simple
I’m getting filtered on normal pls help
use cover
>Playable on linux
>Cheaper than 29 euros ( adjusted for inflation )
I will now buy your game
How similar to Bionic Dues?
is dev a furry?
Dunno. It’s a 50/50 chance
It’s somewhat similar except have a squad, so does the enemy, and each team moves in turns. You also have more vision
I was more wondering if this is a standard "get to the bottom (or top)" or more like preparing for end battle like BD.
There’s a few different mission types that you mostly repeat from what I can tell. Repel the assault, destroy the damaged repair node, download data (get to a certain point then run away to safety, basically) it’s a bit repetitive but quite fun
It's a fun, if simple game. There's not a whole lot to it, but it scratches that itch for turn based strategy in bite sized scenarios.
we have a roguelite general on /vg/ if you want you can talk about it there, i'm sure you'll get more feedback.
Do not go to /vg/, under any circumstances.
