This is a Yuwuji. They were revealed to me in a dream. They're large, boisterous, gregarious, and very generous. The Gods of Zyhan originally made them to punish dishonest misers and hoarders, although they have strayed from this original purpose a bit. They have the magical ability to change how much they weigh, from as heavy as a boulder to almost lighter than air. They are also very sensitive to dishonesty, and can detect lies at will (this also prevents them from lying themselves).
Yuwuji have very poor eyesight, and have a penalty when using ranged weapons and take twice as long to perform tasks that rely on sight (such as reading or writing). Additionally, they cannot hoard wealth, and must give away at least half of any treasure they gain. Greedy Yuwuji turn to stone.
Ok.
that’s a hippo in a dress
Is this some kind of worldbuilding, a shitpost or genuine schizoposting?
>dreams are schizophrenia
Deprogram yourself.
>‘Your dreams are fun? Wow dude that’s crazy! Realtalk though that actually sounds kinda serious, you should prolly get a lobotomy’
>Having dreams
If you're head is plugged up with dreams, then how will you focus on consuming product?
>Hallucinations every night
>Not mental illness because I say so
That sounds nice, OP.
I had some cute drawings of hippo girls but I can't find them
>hippo people
I'm pretty sure you're the same person who said frog people came to you in a dream as well. Let me guess, will your next one be cat people?
"It was revealed to me in a dream" is a quote.
Ok cool another one of these anon nice.
Do they have certain environments they like to remain in or are they generally wanders.
They usually live near or in urban areas. They run inns, tea shops, common houses, waystations, and other places of hospitality.
adding these guys to my setting
Dude idk why, but I believe you
Can you post all of the previous ones? I really love your dream creatures
Yeah, sure. This is a Shna'ri. They eat malign spirits and demons, have a third eye that lets them see invisibility and frightens ghosts, and can't drink alcohol or they turn into giant fire-breathing, man-eating monsters.
They live in little mountain villages and come down every month and parade around neighboring settlements to cast out any evil spirits.
And this is an Oobakiri. They're hideous to look at (so much so that seeing an un-glamored one makes normal people flee in horror) but are good-natured spiritual and physical cleansers. They're immune to all poison, disease, and curses, can lift these same ailments from others, and can eat any food no matter how spoiled or rotten it is.
They usually squat under bridges or rough it out in the wilderness because they can't stay in houses or other structures, lest they bring misfortune upon the household.
OP is a wizard.
I just wanted to say I like your art
I want Miyazaki to write a movie set in this dude's setting.
That's a really fun take on the pineal eye that many amphibians actually have. Though isn't it mostly on the back of the head? I guess that wouldn't really work for a biped.
Fantastic stuff, Anon. May you have inspiring dreams tonight!
I dreamed tonight to be a bike-riding serial killer eager to spread aids by throwing my blood at the doors I would pass by. Eventually I had to ring doorbells to ask for more aids blood, but I couldn't get back on my bike due to dream physics so I had to fake my death by putting my blood-covered body in a ditch for the police to find (while the real me would haste away on the bike).

Anon are you okay?
Sounds like a harsh anxiety dream with strong destructive overtones. Is it because you wish you could give people aids, or is it because you feel like you already are?
Dunno, I just occasionally have absurd dreams like that.
whats up with the slave-catching rod
Probably to catch spirits.
Interesting post.
It could be fun to have a villain that collects them by purposely convincing them to be greedy just for them to turn to stone statues in his garden. Is there a eay to turn them back?
OP please tell us more about Zyhan and its gods.
I'm actually working on a map of the place right now. Unfortunately I haven't made the gods yet. I haven't made a lot of stuff actually. It's just a place to put my ideas for now.
Cool beans man, just make sure you mention "Zyhan" if you post again, I want to be able to find your threads.
Your creatures are strange and threatening but also highly sympathetic, it seems like they could be sad or scary but could also be very heroic and helpful and it just depends on the circumstances, and this makes me imagine an "old world" where they live in harmony with humans and perform their functions, and then a "new world" where human activity is disrupting their harmony in some way.
