  1. He’s been a hack ever since he stopped making Twisted Metal games.

The first God of War sucks and every other game he’s made has been garbage.

You’re saying all this shit and I’ve yet to see a single bit of evidence that’d point to America as a whole hating Japan and anything related to it.

  3. I think it’s really sad that we’re seeing an old man battling early onset dementia and dog-piling on him. If he has any kids they should stop him from using the Internet and put him in a home where can he can get proper care instead of releasing his mental illness for us all to see.
    Growing old can really suck.

Cause you’re an obsessed Eurotard who can’t get America off his mind to the point where you treat us like a boogeyman. Where even is the evidence for your claims outside some cherrypicked twitter retards and this dumbfuck?

  5. No no no no no no. You are a litle wrong there. HE is the guy who made God of War. That is what he himself brags about. He never mentions Twisted Metal. Which shows just how much Copium he is sniffing.

      • You can say that. But he also released Twisted Metal on the ps3 in 2012. And the failed game Drawn To Death in 2017 on ps4. But you can say that this guy is a one trick pony. Much like how Cliff Bleszinsky is coasting on his Gears of War fame. That he doesnt even mention Unreal Tournament and so on.

Isn’t Unreal Tournament more iconic than Gears of War? Also UT contributed more to gaming industry than GoW.

And now they make the reboot series without him. Lol. Even Nintendo hired the people who worked at Mario Party series when Konami shut down Hudson.

  6. It’s almost like being a good gamer and being a good game dev is not the same fucking thing, and people should stop equating the two. Someone who is good at writing good music does not require the same talents as someone who is good at performing the most technically challenging ones. The only thing that matters is if they know how to deconstruct systems, find out what makes things fun and then successfully implement them in different ways. Prototyping and testing is obviously a part of that as well. When will people finally understand this?

    • It’s not about being good at video games. It’s about being a salty, immature sore loser that blames the game for your lack of average gamer skills that even an elementary school kid has.

No wonder he stopped working at game industry since his last game flopped really hard and even got nominated as The Worst Game Of The Year, with him now having a "career" as another shitty YouTuber.

    • I don’t agree. I think if you’re fundamentally opposed to any form of challenge in gaming, you can’t possibly make anything good. I’ve been sat here for the past half an hour trying to beat the first intermediate stage in Wipeout 2097 because I suck balls at it, and I had a lot of fucking fun.

Layman here, seems reasonable to me that a game designer ought to be able to demonstrate an understanding for basic mechanics in an old and influential series.

Also, classic games were hard because they were playtested by the devs themselves, who were almost always good players themselves.

Jaffe is just a pathetic has been who gets stoned on stream and gets money for being the next DSP.

    • You have to understand the player’s mentality. Developers create video games in a way that communicates information to the player and the player is supposed to process that information and interact with the world. If the developer is too stupid to understand how the player will think then it makes it really hard to design a quality game.
David Jaffe was surrounded by people much smarter than him when he worked on God of War and Twisted Metal. When he was separated from that team he created nothing by dogshit, putting himself out of a job.

Reminder that the lead dev of the biggest MMO on the market right now is a Japanese boomer who routinely carries randoms through raids on stream because he’s in the game’s top 5% of Black Mage players.

    • You would have a point if he didn’t go on a diatribe about how Dread sucks because he’s too retarded to figure stuff out instead of owning-up to his own idiocy

      • Nobody would criticise him at all if he was actualy showing any sort of adaptability when playing the game. He was just raging "How is anyone suposed to KNOW that"…. Which makes no sense. Since the game ITSELF tells you before THAT part. That you can shoot walls and reveal blocks you can destroy by shooting. But he also doesnt seem to have noticed that you can even go into Free Aim Mode. Something that is a big thing when it comes to Metroid 2 Samus Returns 3ds game AND Metroid Dread. But not him it seems. He just …. Jumps and shoots forward on the enemy at the cealing. Whille every other twitch streamer playing the game literaly free aim THAT cealing mob…. and see… Oh. There is a path there. But not him. THe game explains the basic mechanics of the game. But it guess the failed game developer is so far up his own asshole to even read what is writen on the screen.
