On one hand it seems they're making 1:1 environments and reusing the old character dialogue, so it's not like there's gonna be room for weird changes and expansions. On the other hand, what screenshots they showed were very generic and lacked any of the original's atmosphere by the green jungle haze or stuff, just generic forest and rocks with lots of shiny phong shading everywhere.
It's gonna be a choice, but if the Master Collection doesn't frick up this year, it's a choice that doesn't leave everyone dry with bad choices on both sides.

No, Ground Zeroes has the best stealth gameplay in the series. MGS1 is the best overall game, although its not very much of a stealth game. They need to overhaul the survival mechanics, because they frankly suck in the original. If they can do that, it might be a straight upgrade.
