I played through the entire game not long ago and man, it's so good. Everything about it is just perfect and set up to make you smile.
It also has that really positive and fun vibe around everything without feeling forced or satirical/disingenuous which isn't common.
I kind of agree, it's a very different game. I don't think that's a bad thing though. They're both excellent driving games in their own right and both are worth checking out.

Burnout 3 was inevitable. The game already focuses so much on crashing that escalating to making your opponents crash was a natural course.

i don't think it captured the vibe of the original very well, the stupid drift takes me out of it completely.
You can play 95% of it without having to drift, drift is a crutch for the hardest turns. Watch some pros on yt.

I wish I could get the PC port running, it keeps crashing on startup and after missions. Great game though.
Either delete you configs or download the fanmade fix, look up for outrun 2 fxt.
