This is the Tentacle from Dungeon Keeper. It rarely gets used, and is mostly forgotten to many, I however think it's very cool.

Never played it.
What is actually the point of dungeon keepers first person mode? Its pretty cool but also pretty pointless.
It's far from pointless dude
it's not pointless, in fact if you throw a couple of creatures in the barracks then possess one of them, you can get the creatures to move around like the hero packs do, it's really fun when you get a fast unit like a hellhound or fly with a bunch of slow units like dragons or tentacles behind them, they'll move just as fast as the hellhound or fly when you do this
I thought the same until possessing a fly saved my ass in the last mission.
here is an example of what i mean
At the time it was a novelty, boomers shat their pants just by being unable to tell what was real and what wasn’t.
>possess imp to dig right into enemy territory, ignoring water and lava on the way
>possess imported creature like lvl.10 horny
sorry you were saying?
Look at that amazing wall adornment of two nymphs. Truly the tentacle has sublime taste!
>and is mostly forgotten to many
Yeah, they're underrated if a bit slow. But they become available way too late in the campaign.
Their main flaw is that they don't have a hobby and have terrible Luck. Beside being slower than average.
>nymphs
Look like Dark Mistresses to me.
the good thing KeeperFX did was make them avaliable a lot earlier by the temple, if you put a troll and a spider in there you can get a tentacle, they're really great alternatives to dragons because they're tanky and cost little gold to keep around
>really great alternative to dragons
What do the Tentacle minions even do? I forgot their purpose even though I played the shit out of KeeperFX a while back because I mostly stuck with a handful of minions that I knew “just werked”.
they have high hp and armour, and they can freeze, great for tanking at high levels, and they're really cheap
most of the time like beetles they'll sit in their lair and just chill (literally me)
One of the obvious improvements would be to have them patrol water tiles adjacent to the dungeon. Another would be giving them Arnour and Rebound. Possibly Hailstorm too.
fun fact, if you put their lairs next to a water tile, they'll start getting experience when idle, dragons are the same next to lava and warlocks are the same next to a gold seam
for example, doesn't have to be right next to it, just a gold seam right next to the lair
i don't have a training room built and my warlock is getting free experience like this
doesn't look like a tentacle
anyone know a really efficient way to kill bile demons, without using my own bile demons? I wanna play through the game without dragons and bile demons for fun
Lightning, undead, eco attrition.
