Im not autistic to notice these things but looking at this pic reminds me of when i played this kino level
I hope the next 3D Mario expands even further on his moveset because Odyssey Mario was a joy to move around
>has better rolling physics than any 3D Sonic game to date
lmao
Dillon's Rolling Western btfos it
Why haven't other developers figured out that the heart of what makes Mario 64 so fun is that Mario has a huge, redundant, and creative moveset to play around with??
I played that Spongbob Squarepants game everyone with nostalgia salivates over, and all you do in that game is hold forward and double jump. That is it. Sometimes you get to slide down a hill in a scripted sequence, like Peach's slide in Mario 64, yet in that game you could get Mario to slide in exactly the same way if you met a steep enough slope yet in the Spongebob game it is only in certain slide levels. It's like Mario is dynamic and about freedom and other platformers are stiff, rote, see-platform jump-to-platform.
Little dude looks like he just found out that he's not the father
Let I remind you Gankerrannies make fun of the "constant positive reinforcement dopamine feeds" in modern racing games that grade you with moronic, abstract points and rewards for not driving like a 4yo, yet here's this shit.
watching the way autistic trannies play games drives me crazy. it's so soulless
I'm sure most know that's what makes a good platformer, but they don't have the clout to spend time developing a complete and fun moveset because historically most platformers were shit out on a budget and instead of making sure the gameplay is fun and then building the levels around that everything is developed at the same time and at the most basic level possible.
I couldn't handle the game when he runs faster downhill and slower uphill, really ruined the momentum. Cappy throw jump throw was also way too difficult
Sorry about that, bud. Maybe you missed the boat on getting good with a controller, but I'm glad the game is satisfying for controllerchads like myself, and you should be happy for me.
I just don't wanna work for a game being fun
>autism cope
why? just embrace it anon dont be cruel to the world
>95% more fun.
What is the metric unit of fun? Can we have a millifun, a nanofun? What would a nanofun even look like? Can you even imagine a kilofun, or even a megafun?
In fun units, how fun is Mario? One, two funs?
you fricking autistic moron, it's femtofun! duh
Tetris = one fun. Which means:
>DOTA 2 = one nanofun
>Total War = one millifun
>Street Fighter = one kilofun
>Mario Kart = one megafun
>Team Fortress 2 = one googolfun (or roughly ten thousand sexdecillion funs)
Ah yes...
The Mario/Sonic Harmonic Convergence is nearing completion.
Soon, Sega. Soon.
It's called the dimensional merge actually
No, its because CERN restarted. Its also why Boris Johnson resigned and Shinzo Abe was assassination.
I hope Boris gets shot as soon as he's stepped down.
>Why haven't other developers figured out that the heart of what makes Mario 64 so fun is that Mario has a huge, redundant, and creative moveset to play around with??
Fellas, is there a combination of A, B, and Z that doesn't result in Mario doing something?
Is there two-button combination you can press, and Mario remains still because the action "doesn't exist?"
I think this is our answer.
Mario 64 team knew that if there were useless inputs and buttons that didn't make Mario do something, the game was bad and not fun.
However, who besides autistic Japanese men will think that the player will have less fun if a button doesn't make Spongebob do something new instead of Spongebob just being able to run and jump? Because that's all the perception is on platformer games.
You just run and jump, right anon?
i'm not gonna say mario odyssey was a perfect game but i will say mario was a fricking blast to move around
the roll and the dive alone gave me way more fun times than it should've
Sunshine has the best Mario moveset simply because of the dive.
Sunshine can't be the best because it lacks a critical move: the long jump
That's what fludd is for. If you added the long jump, Mario's horizontal traversal capabilities would be too strong and mean gaps between platforms would need to be absurdly wider than they already are
Using GIMMICK instead of long jump is what makes Sunshine sub-par, you moron.
fludd was a crutch that ruined sunshine
It also brought in the super jump if you landed and timed your button press after spinning. It's a shame the levels don't do anything with his movement and you just use fludd
Mario if he sonic
It kind of bugs me because of how slow it is honestly. Also the long jump is nerfed too. All the cap throwing jump stuff is good though
cap throwing jump is shit
It's too good and made the rest of the kit irrelevant
Almost every Mario jump string is the exact same cap throwing shit
Only if you're a pleb
In the last year or so I've heard many people say Odyssey is the worst 3D Mario and I wonder if it's just because it's the latest one. The game was a blast to play.
