if this was BG3 vs BoTW it might have been a hard choice but it's totk, great game but it's building off what botw already built so it's no where as near as revolutionary or impactful, BG3 revolutionized RPGs and it easily deserves GOTY

Fricking nothing. Fallout 2 and Arcanum were doing this kind of shit 20 years ago. BG3 doesn't even have day/night cycle, something that BG1 and 2 had in 1999 and companions in KOTOR 2 were more reactive than those buttholes in BG3, not to mention million times better written. It's just a buzz snowball effect from people who never played an cRPG in their lives.

IBIS unpatched did massive posture damage and one hit or combo of the wave attack could chain into another combo, leading to an instant death in seconds or at least loising all repair kits.
I died to unpatched IBIS 60+ times (including restarts) and got Ayre in 6-7 attempts.
I died to unpatched ibis 3 times. Ayre took me an hour. ALLMIND took me 3 hours. Literally any fast mech shits on Ibis. Yes you die fast and get staggered easily, but it's also really easy to just not get hit. He was also probably the single easiest boss on my other playthroughs. Ayre more or less requires good weapon choices and ALLMIND absolutely requires it because it's an endurance/gank fight before it gets to the actual hard part (which I would say is even more devastating than Ayre or ibis, although similarly made of tissue paper). I haven't really noticed anything significant from the patch tbh

It's a really good DLC but it's a DLC nonetheless,
It's the completed game. When you climb the mountain there is a cave inside, when you see the structure it has an entrance inside. All the main dungeons are unique structures built into the world instead of teleporting you to their own space and having copy pasted interiors with one enemy type like BotW. The characters you travel the world actually join your party and can pal around with you. The game uses the verticality exceptionally well with a three tier map (sky/surface/underground) you use elevations to solve puzzles. It's a big step up from BotW that was a nice physics engine and not much else.
It's 70% the same game with the same enemies, weapons, mechanics, shrines just remixed and assetflipped slightly.
This is the type of shit you'd expect as a $20 DLC a year after the base game comes out.
It's BotW but with content which is literally what people were asking for in 2017 before zoomers became old enough to shitpost.
