As Guangdong, your yearly goal is to hit the GDP target. The long-term goal is to overtake Manchuria in GDP and become the No.3 power in the Sphere. To do this, deficit spend most of the time to increase GDP growth.
1. Legislative Council. How many representatives each corporation (political party) has in the legislature. As Sony you are in charge of the two weakest factions; Cheung-Kong and Sony. In other play throughs, you can mostly ignore the panel, except to check the outcomes of legislation, but since Sony typically struggles with seats, it becomes quite important. Typically a Sony player will have to make deals with other parties to get legislation passed, if you have to give up seats, give them up to Matsushita first, as they are more sympathetic than the other two. A few seats will be taken away annually.
2. Regions of Guangdong. Who is in charge of law and order in each province. The Kempeitai (military police) (red), civilian police (blue), Yakuza (pink) or Triads (Green). Your aim is to get overall cicilian police control in as many as you can as they provide a negative ticker to corruption. As a Sony sister you can use the triads to reduce kempaitai and yakuza influence and boost police and triad influence. Focus on getting rid of Kempeitai as a priority as they provide the larger corruption maluses.
3. Silicon Delta. Ignore the research priorities. Or don't, it's a largely inconsequential system
When the product cycle comes around, do what you can to max out the product quality and anticipation, as they provide massive bonuses to GDP. The three months or so this bonus to GDP spending is active should be the only time you cut spending to try and reduce debt. If you can keep debt to GDP under 25% it gives some minor bonuses, but I prefer to max GDP growth when possible.
4. Three evils of Guangdong. Chinese influence is your relationship with the Republic of China, Sony sisters typically have no problem here. 5. Military testing. Occasionally you get the chance to participate in proxy wars. Make sure to always pick the Sony option. You goal here is simply to fulfil the training objectives. That's it. You don't even need to win battles. Click the button if you are running out of experimental equipment. Hit at least 3 goals minimum, hitting all 5 gives nice bonuses. This mechanism plays into the bad end quite nicely.

When the product cycle comes around, do what you can to max out the product quality and anticipation, as they provide massive bonuses to GDP. The three months or so this bonus to GDP spending is active should be the only time you cut spending to try and reduce debt. If you can keep debt to GDP under 25% it gives some minor bonuses, but I prefer to max GDP growth when possible.
4. Three evils of Guangdong. Chinese influence is your relationship with the Republic of China, Sony sisters typically have no problem here. Japanese influence is your relationship with Tokyo, try not to let it dip below 80% or so as it comes in handy in the end-game. Both provide ticking buffs if you keep them high enough. Click on the option to talk to either consulate when you remember as it provides Story and has some use in the end game.
Corruption is the most impactful of the three as it affects PP and GDP, the two most important resources. Keep it as low as possible. Sony's right-hand path deals with corruption, so if you need a break from barely passing legislation with your 25 council members, go down that tree.
5. Military testing. Occasionally you get the chance to participate in proxy wars. Make sure to always pick the Sony option. You goal here is simply to fulfil the training objectives. That's it. You don't even need to win battles. Click the button if you are running out of experimental equipment. Hit at least 3 goals minimum, hitting all 5 gives nice bonuses. This mechanism plays into the bad end quite nicely.

More government dispair = more votes. Don't make too much concessions, just the bare minimum. As for dismanteling, just savescum the event chain or look at the code to find out what are the good choices

Yes. Triads are extremely good as Sony because native opinion is arguably the most scarce resource and they don't have corruption gain unlike with other CEOs
Deficit spending means you spend more than you gain (basically the opposite of having a surplus).
Having a deficit is good because it boosts your GDP growth but be careful because it also increases your debt (and as Guangdong, you want it to be at least lower than 25%).
It's also recommeded to have your deficit be lower than your Real GDP growth (which is Nominal GDP Growth minus Inflation), otherwise your debt will start skyrocketing. Basically if your deficit is green, it's a healthy deficit, if it's red, you better lower your spending (army and social especially).
Also remember to alternate between the "Fresh from the presses" and "Counting our pennies" monetary policies when their effectiveness reach 100% and to raise taxes (aka Temp Tax Hike) every time you can (except during product cycles).

Lower spending helps with deficits, but it also means slower GDP growth. It's a game of balance.
Ideally, you debt should contract or stay static, as proportion of GDP, despite growing in absolute value, e.i. if your GDP grows by 1 billion, your debt should grow by 1 billion or less.
In the long run, you should try to improve or at least maintain your credit rating, so it doesn't degrade.

I tried it after sending the post, it actually went pretty well. I got very high corruption through less than scrupulous means and the focuses helped me get rid of some. Since it doesn't start a vote in LegCo until the very last one, you can keep doing every other focus like usual.

He's like Sosnowsky's hogweed of leadership: extremely invasive, useless, harmful and resilient. As such, even when other teams were basically ready like China, Japan or Asia (even the US and fricking England whose entire past code was written by a schizophrenic with dyslexia), Reich basically remained at barely Speer-Bormann-Goering content and had to relocate Heydrich to the update mines. The only RK to get any content out of this shit was Ostland because they had nowhere to go after the teasers. If they actually went after Moskowien a little bit, you'd only get Bormann and Goering at release.

Without derailing, I would have to say yes. I met people who were born after 9/11, people who don't know anything about the 2008 financial crash, the premiership of Tony Blair or Putin's first terms are complete unknowns. I think I met someone who was still in secondary school and he tried to sign up, I had to tell him to piss off. If you read an event or some lore blurb for most of these mods released, there actually is a good chance that it was written by someone who was still in school when they wrote it. These younger guys are always obsessed with the wacky and the fantastical, what little simulation and war game elements that are left are almost in the way of them forming the latest meme empire or formable. He made it clear in Mein Kampf that he wanted to "teach Russia a lesson because of their betrayal" and establish colonies in the East. Even if you're assuming the foreign policy of the NSDAP remained unchanged for over 20 years, nowhere did they ever try "turning Eastern Europe into Germany"

2. Devs hope they can remove the GCW in favor of a power struggle with the Bormann facelift but nothing is set in stone yet
3. Burgundy and Germany no longer have 2 different SS, the same SS is present in both territories now. Himmler is still Hitler's Reichfuhrer SS. Bormann RFSS is Gustav Adolf Scheel

Anyone got a guide for Guangdong? I'm going for a Sony run and there's so much shit that I don't know what I should focus on.
As Guangdong, your yearly goal is to hit the GDP target. The long-term goal is to overtake Manchuria in GDP and become the No.3 power in the Sphere. To do this, deficit spend most of the time to increase GDP growth.
1. Legislative Council. How many representatives each corporation (political party) has in the legislature. As Sony you are in charge of the two weakest factions; Cheung-Kong and Sony. In other play throughs, you can mostly ignore the panel, except to check the outcomes of legislation, but since Sony typically struggles with seats, it becomes quite important. Typically a Sony player will have to make deals with other parties to get legislation passed, if you have to give up seats, give them up to Matsushita first, as they are more sympathetic than the other two. A few seats will be taken away annually.
2. Regions of Guangdong. Who is in charge of law and order in each province. The Kempeitai (military police) (red), civilian police (blue), Yakuza (pink) or Triads (Green). Your aim is to get overall cicilian police control in as many as you can as they provide a negative ticker to corruption. As a Sony sister you can use the triads to reduce kempaitai and yakuza influence and boost police and triad influence. Focus on getting rid of Kempeitai as a priority as they provide the larger corruption maluses.
3. Silicon Delta. Ignore the research priorities. Or don't, it's a largely inconsequential system
When the product cycle comes around, do what you can to max out the product quality and anticipation, as they provide massive bonuses to GDP. The three months or so this bonus to GDP spending is active should be the only time you cut spending to try and reduce debt. If you can keep debt to GDP under 25% it gives some minor bonuses, but I prefer to max GDP growth when possible.
4. Three evils of Guangdong. Chinese influence is your relationship with the Republic of China, Sony sisters typically have no problem here. Japanese influence is your relationship with Tokyo, try not to let it dip below 80% or so as it comes in handy in the end-game. Both provide ticking buffs if you keep them high enough. Click on the option to talk to either consulate when you remember as it provides Story and has some use in the end game.
Corruption is the most impactful of the three as it affects PP and GDP, the two most important resources. Keep it as low as possible. Sony's right-hand path deals with corruption, so if you need a break from barely passing legislation with your 25 council members, go down that tree.
5. Military testing. Occasionally you get the chance to participate in proxy wars. Make sure to always pick the Sony option. You goal here is simply to fulfil the training objectives. That's it. You don't even need to win battles. Click the button if you are running out of experimental equipment. Hit at least 3 goals minimum, hitting all 5 gives nice bonuses. This mechanism plays into the bad end quite nicely.
But what about dealing with Guangdong oil crisis? I don’t know what the frick am I doing most of the time. It seems like your entire goal is to disband or destroy the 2 revolting organizations but some how you have to take an approval from LegCo but they votes against me for some reasons.
More government dispair = more votes. Don't make too much concessions, just the bare minimum. As for dismanteling, just savescum the event chain or look at the code to find out what are the good choices

Yes. Triads are extremely good as Sony because native opinion is arguably the most scarce resource and they don't have corruption gain unlike with other CEOs
Deficit spending means you spend more than you gain (basically the opposite of having a surplus).
Having a deficit is good because it boosts your GDP growth but be careful because it also increases your debt (and as Guangdong, you want it to be at least lower than 25%).
It's also recommeded to have your deficit be lower than your Real GDP growth (which is Nominal GDP Growth minus Inflation), otherwise your debt will start skyrocketing. Basically if your deficit is green, it's a healthy deficit, if it's red, you better lower your spending (army and social especially).
Also remember to alternate between the "Fresh from the presses" and "Counting our pennies" monetary policies when their effectiveness reach 100% and to raise taxes (aka Temp Tax Hike) every time you can (except during product cycles).

Wait, the "Fresh from the presses" just gives you baseline +1% GDP growth after 5 months, while "Counting our pennies" reduces baseline inflation by up to 20% after 10 month, if I remember correctly? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to stick to "Fresh from the presses" if the baseline inflation is below 5% and to apply "Counting our pennies" if it's more to maximize real GDP growth?

Lower spending helps with deficits, but it also means slower GDP growth. It's a game of balance.
Ideally, you debt should contract or stay static, as proportion of GDP, despite growing in absolute value, e.i. if your GDP grows by 1 billion, your debt should grow by 1 billion or less.
In the long run, you should try to improve or at least maintain your credit rating, so it doesn't degrade.

I tried it after sending the post, it actually went pretty well. I got very high corruption through less than scrupulous means and the focuses helped me get rid of some. Since it doesn't start a vote in LegCo until the very last one, you can keep doing every other focus like usual.
What happened in early China? I remember something about hyperinflation but idk anything concrete. Early republican China isn't really talked about, at all.
As Suzuki get your debt as low as possible. Yasuda crisis will increase it by around 10-20%, so you want it low so it doesn't affect yourfiscal health.
A few more tips the other anon missed.
-This is a bit obvious but as Suzuki, don't go all in with the Morita plan or inflate the auction prizes. Doing so harms Sony's seats.
-Get triad control in 3 of the 4 rural areas, as those are the ones with the most chinese pop.
-The last branch you should do is forming the anti-corruption agency. Forming it locks you out of bribing seats, so doing it early is the worst mistake you can make, especially since Sony struggles a lot with legco support.
-You don't need to go full Cheung Kong or full Sony, the ending is decided during and after the oil crisis, not during the main tree, so don't worry and choose what you want.

He's like Sosnowsky's hogweed of leadership: extremely invasive, useless, harmful and resilient. As such, even when other teams were basically ready like China, Japan or Asia (even the US and fricking England whose entire past code was written by a schizophrenic with dyslexia), Reich basically remained at barely Speer-Bormann-Goering content and had to relocate Heydrich to the update mines. The only RK to get any content out of this shit was Ostland because they had nowhere to go after the teasers. If they actually went after Moskowien a little bit, you'd only get Bormann and Goering at release.
