Total Warhammer 3

Alright, I finally built a good enough PC which should let me run this thing on max settings.
I just want to know how is the state of the game? I'm interested in Immortal Empires obviously. Is it playable? Is it fun ? I just want to go batshit insane as Khorne Chaos Champion and collect skulls for the skull god. What's the modding scene like?

Half the older factions really need reworks because they have boring, simple mechanics. I reccommend starting with newer factions like the Khorne Daemons you mentioned. Skarbrand is a good choice, or any newer faction that appeals to you really.

To elaborate, the Game 1 and 2 factions considered as in a good state rn are Greenskins, Warriors of Chaos, Beastmen, Welves, game 2 dlc factions.

Thatbis not to say any of the others are jn the state that Beastmen or GS were for a while, or that they are even unfun.

I think they really nailed the complexity factions need with the TK and have generalky been prettybsuccesful with the reworks and factions then-on

      This

Strategy and shit has been out of style since at least 2010. Good gameplay is when you spend demon points to get legs with better stats.

Just run Empire/Reikland. The game even expects you to do so.
    What could possibly go wrong?

I play this game on a mac laptop. I am forced to play on the lowest possible settings. Even then it lags and crashes.

    I am content.

I have had minimal problems, turns are respectable, with my pretty-shit machine.

Modding scene is prettybrespectable. Some visual mods(reallybreccommend the improved Lighting mod) some UI fixes. Highlightbare the overhauls/newn subfactions.

Khorne, both Skarbrand and Valkia are pretty decent as I've heard

Is it worth moving off of 2 for? I heard the Chorfs were a let down and the game is still buggy even after a year.

Bumping for the same question. It's 40% off on the sale, not sure if I should finally pull the trigger

        Chorfs are pretty fun.
There are bugs, though they've addressed the gamebreaking ones. CA slowly fix things, but in fixing them end up introducing more. There's a community bugfix mod which does the job.

        Right now? No.
Especially since many mods from 2 have yet to be ported. Regular updates for the game make mods incompatible until they too get updated.
Much DLC on the horizon. As of right now this game is still very much in early access.
The best course of action would be to wait until the game gets no more DLC and updates and then wait a bit more until all the mods get updated too. This might take a few years like it did 2. But because of that 2 is finally playable.

tl;dr pick it up in 5 years or so

Buried it even. Singlehandedly assured it will forever languish in obscurity and nobody even remembers it anymore.

I vastly prefer Warhammer 2. 3 has some nice QOL but I really hate the map.

    >game is unplayable without mods
    >mods crash your game
What did CA mean by this?
