This will probably be announced at the Game Awards this year. What do you guys honestly want or hope with DLC for TotK? What do you think they can they do to expand the story after TotK's ending?

I thought TotK WAS the DLC. At least thats what Ganker told me before that DLC was released in May 2023.
Hudson Home Paradise. You build structures for npcs all around Hyrule and for every job you unlock more customization options for your own house.
Setting up a new villain for the inevitable third game
>zelda
>new villain
Lmao
Ganon got killed at the end of TotK so you can't reuse him immediately
Ganon is revived again because
All of Capcom's games had original villains. And their director has been directing the latest games too.
Every mainline Zelda game directed in-house at Nintendo has had either Ganon, Ganondorf, or some amalgamation of them as the big bads. Majora's Mask was the only exception. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a Zelda directive guideline like the Mario directive they have, instead of saying "no unique characters" it's "Link is the main character and always teams up with Zelda to kill Ganon"
Ganon is a completely different concept from Ganondorf.
And you can disregard them as not being mainline or whatever. But the WW sequels had original villains too.
>Majora's Mask was the only exception.
And Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword
>inb4 they're not mainline because I said so
>inb4 they're basically ganon anyway
>LA, PH
I'll give you those.
>ST, SS
Demise and Malladus are essentially the same as Ganon. Power hungry ethically dubious demon king, unrelenting evil, etc. It's all the same. Sorry bruv
SS is an even worse case to argue since Demise is designed to be Not!Ganon, so pretending like that was any sort of departure from Ganon is total horseshit.
>either Ganon
>or not Ganon
Yeah it's going to be not Ganon, genius. You can say it's Ganon's evil chakra juice producing the big bad or whatever but it's still not Ganon if it's not Ganon
Who is:
>Dark Link
>Thunderbird
>Vaati
>Veran
>Onox
>Majora
>Zant
>Bellum
>Chancellor Cole
>Byrne
>Malladus
>Demise
>Yuga
>Hilda
>Cia
>Volga
>Wizzro
>Astor
>That one witch from Triforce Heroes
>Dark Link
>Thunderbird
>Volga
Kinda, but they aren't the real villains they're neutral
>Vaati (FSA)
>Veran
>Onox
>Zant
>Yuga
>Hilda
>Cia
>Astor
>Octavo
>Koume and Kotake
'Dorf's (sometimes unwitting) pawns
>Malladus
>Demise
>Nightmare
>Bellum
'Dorf in all but name
>Chancellor Cole
>Byrne
Malladus' pawns, have the same function as 'Dorf's pawns
>Vaati (MC, FS)
>Majora
>Lady Maud
>Wizzro
New, original villains that aren't connected to Ganon in any way
In total: 4 original villains
I'm not part of this conversation, but the start of this discussion was an Anon arguing that they wouldn't set anyone up other than Ganon for a sequel to TOTK, not whether or not this new villain would be connected to Ganon.
PLEASE BE VERAN I WANT MORE PORN
It's clearly going to be Majora or a Majora-like knockoff with the third game taking place out in space and probably having a strong focus on gravity-based physics and puzzles. Another fruity/goofy villain akin to Yuuga, Ghirahim or Zant is a likely option.
They've been building on the blood moon shit and Zonai lore for a while, after all.
If not that, the something involving the ocean or an underwater setting, since the Zelda team said they wanted to explore an underwater setting but couldn't during BoTW & ToTK's development.
Give me another layer of the world.
An even higher sky. Or an even lower depths.
I also want even more Zonai devices. Like a really, perhaps even stupidly slow charging laser. Like the laser blast that Test of Strength Guardians did when low on HP in BotW.
And make Paya a Sage while you're at it.
And reintroduce the Oracles from the Oracle games.
>after the ending
lol
they will add some more sky islands with a handful of shrines and a dungeon and all the cutscenes will be memories about zelda and the old sages
>after the ending
the game literally ends with Link's arm going back to normal and losing all his new powers, the frick do you think they can do anything after that
Please understand that people on Ganker don't actually play games. At best, Ganker looks at someone else play the game for a while, maybe look up the ending and that's about it. Instead, Ganker heavily shills or heavily trashes generally popular/semi-well known games for what they believe is the funny.
Thank you.
Nintendo announced DLC before the game is out. Most likely, there wont be any DLC and also this is just DLC for BoTW anyway
DLC is obviously set-up for TOTK- there's that depths portion in Lake Hylia that has nothing in it and isn't connected to anything else that is clearly the starting point
the three dragons
The DLC will allow you to reconnect with Fi now that the Master Sword has been properly revitalized.
And after bonding with Fi again we get her as a Sage.
>DLC for a DLC
did botw get dlc? cus it will probably be the same, just like the rest of the game
Think of one upgrade for each TotK ability.
Higher Ascend limit
More camera space
More map stickers
Higher building limit
More Autobuild favorites
Fuse to armor
Rewind enemies
*Recall
>Higher Ascend limit
Would probably break some areas, the other ones are solid.
If there was dlc it would have been announced by now
Maybe, but not necessarily. Remember Mario Kart and Smash Bros. didn't initially have DLC announcements.
So you're saying I can still have hope for Ring Fit DLC that adds Wii Fit Trainer as an option to play as?
I want master mode. Gold enemies, their regeneration. I want replay with one or two star barbarian armor.
I don’t want anything else from this current direction they’ve taken. Let it die. Sick of these trash games.
Extra dungeon(s) like the quality of Champion's Balled with a Master Mode equivalent. By far the best Puzzle Box Nintendo has ever done. Otherwise it doesn't really matter. It might just be like BoTW. A bunch of goodies that are nice (more armor/items/abilities) but you're mainly buying it for a main premise.
>quality of Champion's Ballad
It was shit except for the Final Beast and Maz Koshah
>It was shit
It wasn't, OoToddler. Thankfully those shit games are dead and buried.
idk it took 6 years to make botw dlc, im not holding my breath
Bit of more story about the other three dragons, who I suppose were sages too and the ancient hero from the mural. As for content itself, more and larger sky areas and something to do in the depths other than mining and fighting bosses.
Master mode is and the trials are most likely going to be the wave 1 of DLC, and IF they add more story it's gonna be later. I'm betting they will also add new zonai devices.
>game that's 70 dollars
>people cheer for it to have paid DLC
not to mention the game is basically just botw dlc already. yes please give me more dlc for my dlc
the absolute state of ninten cucks
This.
TOTK is the biggest dissapointent since Bioshock Infinite.
it's 52 bucks on Amazon right now
At least 7-9 more sky islands, each the size of the tutorial island, each with at least 4 new shrines, featuring at least 3 or 4 new zonai devices, and after completing each shrine you fight a new boss, maybe some ancient Zonai villain that got released once the sky islands appeared again, similar to Maz Koshia
