I enjoy "Sour Knight" Optimus, but he should only exist within the live-action films. If he was in more media like "Auotbot Megatron" is getting recently, I would probably end up hating it.

The wii version of this game was pretty fun, it was a GOW clone with shooting mechanics with the wii mote and I remember it feeling pretty good to control. The only downside I can remember is that it had those annoying puzzles where you have to connect tbe circuits, I don't understand why the new Spiderman games had to rip off Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for Wii (formerly ps2) in such a way. You could unlock some G1 episodes by beating the game

The license expired so in their infinite wisdom they wiped everything from their servers, then Hasbro approached them with the offer to renew the license in order to hype up the Rise of the Beasts movie, Activision said "whoops!" and Hasbro told everyone.
Seeing FoC at SDCC before it came out was cool as shit. They showed Grimlock gameplay and character switching during the campaign which was cool. During the QnA segment, Peter Cullen was asked to say a line regarding Horse show and I had vaguely heard of it being popular. Weird to see how long ago that was and the time I found out it originated from here. Greg Berger and all the VA's were there and Tieger was based. It's still a damn shame they haven't made a final sequel to end it. Having a mission where Sludge revives and you fight on cybertron while everyone else is on Earth or another planet/moon would've been cool. Blum as Shockwave was also a good choice.

Devastation is Platinum's best game and the fact that it's one of their least-accessible (Korra & World of Demons are worse off, Babylon deserves to be dead) is so sad.

Either Broadside or Tidal Wave was planned to be in the first movie, but an aircraft carrier Transformer would have been too expensive and difficult to realize. I wish Warpath had *BAM* been in at least one of the movies, love his *POW* personality and tank alt mode.
I like the first film a lot, but it is severely marred by Shia being an absolute sperg who wouldn't shut the frick up. He's easily the worst parts of the whole film and the reason why I rarely rewatch it.
It looks okay, though some of the voices are a little weird (Megatron in particular sounds off to me, I think he would have worked better as Bee). Hemsworth does a surprisingly competent Cullen impression though. I feel like I'm one of the few who kinda likes the art direction; it feels like a solid fusion between the Cybertron games and prime (with a little bit of animated)
I hope this leads into an actual War for Cybertron movie though. That's one I've been wanting ever since I was a kid.
Chris sounds good but he genuinely fits Optimus better than he does Orion, Keegan unironically should've just done his Toad voice again for Bee, Elita is fine, and Megatron sounds like the youngest one of the group, I don't expect his younger self to sound like a manic old man already but I sure as shit didn't picture this to be what he sounded like before the war

Not really an addition but I really liked how Animated handled Primes. I haven't kept up with the lore in the comics or expanded material so maybe it's already been done, but I think it would be cool to see that idea worked into a pre-war story, kinda like how the aligned continuity handled their corruption

The only thing I want out of Beast Wars is a remaster that uses new graphics and animation; everything else (music, voice acting, sound effects, etc) remains untouched.
It was lightning in a bottle. Best you can hope for is a perfect 4k AI upscale (there was one on youtube, but Hasbro got the upscales taken down due to their own 40th anniversary uploads), or a fan does what you described. The IDW comic that came out a few years ago was a pretty good take as well, even if it got canceled due to IDW losing the license.

For the 1986 movie's 40th anniversary, I kinda hope that they do a remaster of it and do things like fix the animation and coloring errors, add the missing fifth Dinobot, and include material from the IDW comic adaptation that showed the Autobots and Decepticons not present at the Battle of Autobot City fighting elsewhere.

There's a pretty healthy genre of videos going over the events of comics, or fanfic comics of what-if scenarios. I know I've spent a lot of time watching those comic/novelization star wars videos that go something like "what would happen if yoda scratched his balls in revenge of the sith"

There's a pretty healthy genre of videos going over the events of comics, or fanfic comics of what-if scenarios. Whoops yeah that guy. It was nice that these games could have more obscure transformers instead of just featuring the usual lineup thats also in the bayformer movies. They could have easily just went with Devastator in FOC but they chose Bruticus instead. Then we also got a cliff jumper mission instead of bumblebee (though that was probably just because of the prime cartoon)
I find it funny how Prime Breakdown is the same one from WoC who decided to bulk up after a fight with Bulkhead.

Huh didn't know that. I never watched through all of Prime but I know it heavily influenced Fall of Cybertron's development since the execs wanted it to be in the same continuity. Seems like they even wanted to retcon War for Cybetron as Megatron'a audio logs reference the start of the great war the way it went down in Prime. Megs talks about starting the war because the counsil chose Optimus over him to be prime, despite Optimus being chosen to be the last prime out of desperation near the end of the war. Thank god they were able to convince Hasbro to put the Dinobots in the game, In one of the interviews Matt talked about how hard they had to pitch having Dinobots in the game during the cybertron war before Earth. The games were always meant to be a G1 love letter so they did a good job maneuvoring the suits when it came to the story

Originally the games and show were going to be far more interconnected as per the Aligned continuity bible, but the makers of Prime were absolutely adamant about not following the plan and they did everything they could to keep the show as separate as possible. FoC tried to work with it but it should have just continued completely from WfC.

The games are loosely related to the show. Same universe.
Transformers would work great as a mario and rabbids/xcom kind of game.
New mobility gimmicks could easily be implemented with vehicle modes as well, making positioning and movement more in-depth.
I really miss the old IDW comic about the Lost Light ship and its crew. It was like 90's star trek, with the crew just out exploring the galaxy trying to find something, while getting into all kinds of crazy shenanagins.

It's always really sad and funny how the tie-in games went out of their way to give the movie Decepticons some actual dialogue and personality when in the actual movies they're all just a bunch of growling monsters and drones that exist to get blown up.
Even the DOTM game gave say, Mixmaster more diginity than in the ROTF movie where he exists just to get his head chopped by Jetfire

I remember playing the Aircraft carrier mission as a kid and spending hours just shooting and trying to sink ships.
The wii version of this game was pretty fun, it was a GOW clone with shooting mechanics with the wii mote and I remember it feeling pretty good to control. The only downside I can remember is that it had those annoying puzzles where you have to connect tbe circuits, I don't understand why the new Spiderman games had to rip off Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for Wii (formerly ps2) in such a way. You could unlock some G1 episodes by beating the game

Seeing FoC at SDCC before it came out was cool as shit. They showed Grimlock gameplay and character switching during the campaign which was cool. During the QnA segment, Peter Cullen was asked to say a line regarding Horse show and I had vaguely heard of it being popular. Weird to see how long ago that was and the time I found out it originated from here. Greg Berger and all the VA's were there and Tieger was based. It's still a damn shame they haven't made a final sequel to end it. Having a mission where Sludge revives and you fight on cybertron while everyone else is on Earth or another planet/moon would've been cool. Blum as Shockwave was also a good choice.

It's alright. It still has a lot of the issues the later films had, just toned down a bit because Spielberg tard wrangled Bay enough for it to be a functional movie. The lack of characterization for the main autobots was the biggest problem, and one that still persists to this day (seriously what the frick were they thinking with Rise of the Beasts).
It and DotM are my favorites of the bayformers movies, the latter if only because the Chicago half is really cool to watch. I usually just skip to the end so I can see Optimus start killing things

They're tried. First one slightly edges out, because at least the wait for the robots makes sense and is an excellent payoff.
Blackout trashing the airbase, Barricade chasing Bumblebee, the Autobots arriving from space, the Decepticons mobilizing, and Bonecrusher vs Optimus are good. Everything else and every subsequent movie can and should be entirely disregarded.

It looks okay, though some of the voices are a little weird (Megatron in particular sounds off to me, I think he would have worked better as Bee). Hemsworth does a surprisingly competent Cullen impression though. I feel like I'm one of the few who kinda likes the art direction; it feels like a solid fusion between the Cybertron games and prime (with a little bit of animated)
I hope this leads into an actual War for Cybertron movie though. That's one I've been wanting ever since I was a kid.

I think Fall's single-player was better, but I liked War's multiplayer more.
Had so much fun playing through WfC's campaign with friends, but FoC's character-specific stages were much better designed.

Best you can hope for is a perfect 4k AI upscale (there was one on youtube, but Hasbro got the upscales taken down due to their own 40th anniversary uploads), or a fan does what you described. The IDW comic that came out a few years ago was a pretty good take as well, even if it got canceled due to IDW losing the license.

There's a pretty healthy genre of videos going over the events of comics, or fanfic comics of what-if scenarios. Whoops yeah that guy. It was nice that these games could have more obscure transformers instead of just featuring the usual lineup thats also in the bayformer movies. They could have easily just went with Devastator in FOC but they chose Bruticus instead. Then we also got a cliff jumper mission instead of bumblebee (though that was probably just because of the prime cartoon)
I find it funny how Prime Breakdown is the same one from WoC who decided to bulk up after a fight with Bulkhead.
Huh didn't know that. I never watched through all of Prime but I know it heavily influenced Fall of Cybertron's development since the execs wanted it to be in the same continuity. Seems like they even wanted to retcon War for Cybetron as Megatron'a audio logs reference the start of the great war the way it went down in Prime. Megs talks about starting the war because the counsil chose Optimus over him to be prime, despite Optimus being chosen to be the last prime out of desperation near the end of the war. Thank god they were able to convince Hasbro to put the Dinobots in the game, In one of the interviews Matt talked about how hard they had to pitch having Dinobots in the game during the cybertron war before Earth. The games were always meant to be a G1 love letter so they did a good job maneuvoring the suits when it came to the story

Originally the games and show were going to be far more interconnected as per the Aligned continuity bible, but the makers of Prime were absolutely adamant about not following the plan and they did everything they could to keep the show as separate as possible. FoC tried to work with it but it should have just continued completely from WfC.
Its a good thing they did. Prime is supposed to be its own thing while the game focused on fan service

Transformers would work great as a mario and rabbids/xcom kind of game.
New mobility gimmicks could easily be implemented with vehicle modes as well, making positioning and movement more in-depth.
I really miss the old IDW comic about the Lost Light ship and its crew. It was like 90's star trek, with the crew just out exploring the galaxy trying to find something, while getting into all kinds of crazy shenanagins.

is the netflix series worth watching? i dropped it after the first season with optimus' random voicecracks and bumblebee sounding tired and fed up 24/7 and megatron being just stone cold and boring
