Sitting at 17 plats. What should my 18th be Ganker? I've cleared the souls series.
Chernobylite was comfy starting out, but they did get lazy with the enemy lines and the ost could be repetitive. I'm 70% on that one will probably wrap it up in August.
Do you guys reserve milestone plats for games that are special to you? My next plat will be #50 and it's probably just gonna be a random one like Stray or something.
I autistically planned out what all my milestones will be until my 100th platinum and planning on making that my 10,000 trophy. FFXV was my 15th plat at 1500 trophies. Long way to go considering I'm only just under 1,800.
last one I got was for 2077
Any way to make clearing the gigs and police hustles easier? I cleared Pacifica and the trophy didn't pop so I'm guessing I'm going to have to annoyingly clear certain gigs in other areas before the last 2 show up.
Most recent one was P5R. I considered platinuming Judgement, my first RGG game on a console. But then I learned about the shit gatcha RNG, the requirement to win all the mahjong shit and drone races and FRICKING puyo puyo. I'm not gonna grind 50-100h for a platinum trophy.
Do you guys reserve milestone plats for games that are special to you? My next plat will be #50 and it's probably just gonna be a random one like Stray or something.
I typically try to make it an infamously difficult plat (aiming 350 to be Moneky Ball Banana Splitz) or if I'm not feeling like pulling my hair out when nearing a milestone I'll just go for a game I like a lot like San Andreas.
It's a far cry from classic SSX in terms of design, but it's still pretty fun. Kind of like a mix between the out of bounds areas in SSX3 and On Tour. The tracks are way too open and you spend a lot of time free falling. You can fall and permadie during runs, so you have to use the rewind feature or restart. You can tell the game still has the roots of back when it was called SSX:Deadly Descents. Honestly it's a joy to ride down those dangerous mountains and wish they leaned more into it instead of turning the game into a half-step. There are several different mountains, each with various tracks. The DLC gives you MT. Eddie and is a mountain designed like a classic SSX course. It's the best part of the game. It made wish that every mountain had at least 1 track that was more confined and designed like a competition course.
Other than that the biggest issue with the game is that there's no live multiplayer. You just race with ghosts. That's mainly due to the open ended design of tracks and the rewind feature being weird for multiplayer, but it still sucks and is another mark against the design. Despite all the problems it does more to scratch that arcade itch than all those snowboarding simulator games that came out.
The wingsuit is broken and should have been nerfed.
I tried to make the Big Boss trophy from Peace Walker my 1000th trophy but dun goofed my calculations and unlocked another trophy at the exact same time which popped first.
Yeah Im getting Ace combat 7 platinum, I just need to grind flight distance which is pretty boring. Also working in Devil may cry 5, last I got was Hollow knight
Finally got the platinums for the Crash trilogy. Had them since they came out but never bothered to try and go for the time trial relics. Sunset Vista was a b***h.
I got ever achievement except for Stormy Acsent time trial. I've been stuck on it since it released on Xbox. Every now and then I dedicate like a day trying to get it, but I've still haven't gotten it.
Ape Escape is so much fun you'll want to plat it twice. Don't play Syphon Filter unless you hate yourself. You should play Wild Arms even if didn't have trophies.
>Wild Arms 1 has trophies
Man, I played a decent bit of WA3 but it's been awhile and I forgot everything I was doing. Might pick up the first game to get me back into it. It's the series I hope Sony brings back the most
Ape Escape is so much fun you'll want to plat it twice. Don't play Syphon Filter unless you hate yourself. You should play Wild Arms even if didn't have trophies.
Be careful with Ape Escape 2 trophy for defeating Specter the first time, it's glitched. You can only use the stun baton to hit him or else the trophy won't unlock.
I did all 3 platinums for the mass effect trilogy which was pretty easy also did the bonus insanity romance all 3 games stuff which was fun.
One I did before that was FF7R remake a year before and the pull up one took me a few hours to do and made me seethe had to cover the tv with a towel and put the game on mute but it felt good when I finally did it.
Not constantly for 6 years. I bought the game at launch and gave up. I went back a few years later and still couldn't do it. Then this week I had an itch to get it done again.
6-8 hours. I did it in 7 but You need to reach the end six times. If you die / get caught by the police then that playthrough doesn't count. The upper limit for losses is 4, afterwards you can't lose. I died once and was caught once.
There are a few missable achievements meaning you need to replay a good chunk of the entire game if you miss them . You need to collect 18 tapes but the random generated nature of the game means you will always find the next one you miss if you find one. Sometimes you can get 3 tapes from a single scene, other times none. You don't really need a guide for it, just look around and steal as much as you can. Try to keep $10 always on yourself because sometimes a guy sells a tape on the scene. When you reach the end you will find a rock tower behind the waterfall with every character. You need to add three rocks to it. If you don't that is three whole playthrough.
There is a new game plus but there are scenes you only get once in a whole new game (6-10 runs).
Pet the cat in the trailer park, blow the fire at the same place when you sit down with Zoe.
Save Zoe from the police (after you riled up the police go around the back of the gas station to not bump into them to get the keys). You need $11 bucks once and a public phone (available in several scenes) to donate to one of the politicians (their numbers are on the posters).
The game is very clunky and lefty leaning if you care about politics but I really enjoyed the somewhat RNG nature.
You poor bastard. I was planning on going through every AC game, but after having to play through AC1 twice because of one missile achievement that by the time I got to AC2, like 3 hours in I needed a break. Ive been on break for like 2 years now. One of these days I'll go back to it.
The only platinum trophy Ive ever unlocked was in Nier Autamata and the only reason I have it is because you can buy trophies after you get E ending. I was like 4 short so yeah, I guess i'm a filthy trophy cheat.
Metal slug Anthology and senran X nep but i dont care about them since i found out most goldens are "do a trillion trickshots meanwhile you do a back flip in 0.5 seconds when a blue moon is rising in the new chinesse year where you win the lottery" online ones are even gayer
>Speaking to Washington Post, Sony Interactive Entertainment network advertising vice president Grace Chen said the digital collectibles are not non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
>“It’s definitely not NFTs,” Chen told the publication. “Definitely not. You can’t trade them or sell them. It is not leveraging any blockchain technologies and definitely not NFTs.”
lol at how desperate they are to distance themselves from NFTs
Depends if you can tolerate the "game". It's a movie, and a below average one at that. It'd be like playing Until Dawn or something for trophies, but with less interaction.
I had a ps3/4 for years before I finally got into trophy hunting
So I have a lot of games with bad trophy percentages that I’ll probably never go back and clean up
I'm actually about to start doing the platinum of BB, I've played through it a couple of times on release so I have a lot of the normal playthough trophies, just need the chalice, all weapons, all endings and a couple more.
>was rushing to get Mad Max done since the closure announcement >had about a month left >game has way too big of an open world with the same few activites to do over and over >can be locked out of the 100% trophy at any time if the game glitches and doesnt count an activity as complete in the menu tracker >if the glitch happened it required starting a new save, meaning the online scrap collecting requirement would have to be redone
I liked the game quite a bit but goddamn was it stressful given all that context. Pour one out for the sad souls who encountered the glitch and didnt make it in time
Frick that game. I played it for a bit when it was on Gamepass and it have achievements not divisible by 5, so for the longest fricking time, my GS endes with a fricked up number. I had to play Doom Eternal on PC just to fix it.
What's your rarest platinum? For me it's Skate 3 at 0.2%
Reason it is so rare is because the game gained a ton popularity long after the online servers shut down
on steam mine is Golf with your Friends at 0.3%. probably because they keep adding achievements after years of inactivity. They just added like 6 more achievements too
No
I play through a game once and wait for a sale to consoom next product
all you autistic shits doing pointless grinds to get a digital trophy are pathetic beyond redemption
how do you guys feel about this sort of stuff being publicly available?
I get having a list of games you've "completed" (although I wish so many trophies weren't grindy shit, not my idea of game completion), but I feel like the timestamps are too much information.
ReCore. apparently made by the jap who did the metroid games. It's a huge collectathon that barely has a story and terrible combat. I'm not sure why I got all the achievements other than I felt like I had to finish it completely.
They're just fun to collect. Most games don't have completion percentages anymore so it's a nice way to see if you've done everything. It scratches a specific type of itch for people who like having a checklist of things to do. Kind of like collecting boyscout badges. NUMBER GO UP and all that. Granted I make sure not to go for Platinums that would require me to grind and double the time of my regular playthrough. So most JRPGs are out the equation for me. It's cool be able to see what difficulties you've done since games don't have mission rankings like DMC.
For me it's essentially being able to keep a representative of your save file wrapped neatly in a cabinet that stays with your account.
Trophies for classic games are set by the developers if they care to. Considering Capcom didn't bother with RE1, I wouldn't hold out hope for Dino Crisis trophies.
After rage quitting at getting the time trial for Native Fortress and putting it off for five years I went back and platinumed Crash Bandicoot 1. outside of a handful of levels it wasn't too too bad.
FRICK HIGH ROAD WHAT A STUPID PIECE OF SHIT POORLY DESIGNED LEVEL GOD FRICKING DAMN IT
got Bloodstained for free with the PS+ thing, I've played it before on PC and loved it, so I decided I wanted to platinum it while playing on hard
really fun game and I loved every second of farming everything needed for the platinum, shame even on hard (and nightmare) it's so easy to break it through specific items and shard combinations
took like 20~ hours for the platinum, a normal playthrough should take even less
It's the most organic way of keeping a log of games that you've played, even if you dont go for 100%
Trophy hunting is like one big meta game and every game you play is part of that meta game that you're always working towards
When I say "Versus" I mean just fighting the computer 100 times*
That doesn't sound too bad. I think I'll pick that up for going for plat. I already have the game but I've just played it casually. Might just do everything except the fight grind and then just get it casually with friends over time. Appreciate the heads up, not really a game I see mentioned all that much.
I played a few online when it first came out it didn't seem that bad but that was also literally day 1 so I don't know how often that mechanic got abused after that
It was the opposite for me. I had a bad habit of starting tons of games and dropping them after the first few hours until I started trophy hunting.
I actually finish my games now, and I've probably finished more games while trophy hunting than I ever did before I started.
This, trophies literally saved gaming for me cause I kept losing motivation to play anything, but having a secondary goal to work towards that encompasses the whole experience makes completing a game much more fun for me.
Anyone else have that autism for completing all the games in a series if you have one? I've spent a long time trying to eventually plat every single main Resident Evil game. I've done 1, 2RE, 3RE, 4, 5, 7, 8 and Revelations so I plan on eventually finishing 6, Revelations 2, 0 and Code Veronica too and then my autism will be satisfied.
Whether or not I'll go for all the plats depends on the type of game. But if I play one game in a series then I have to play them all at some point. I enjoy the industry and seeing how a series changes from game to game too much to not do so. I end up in a rabbit whole, of wanting to see everything from that developer, the directors, the artists, and composers. The track record of different designers is so industry because you can look a lot of their contributions individually as compared to a game as a whole.
I never planned on touching the Far Cry series because of the Far Cry 2 multiplayer trophies being such a grind. No Far Cry 2 plat then I'll never bother with the other games. With a lot of PS3 Ubisoft severs going offline and my tolerance for autistic grinds being greatly expanded I finally got the motivation to do Far Cry 2 so now I'll have to eventually get through all the sequels.
>Skipping Operation Racoon City? I did too.
Yeah, mainly for 2 reasons, 1 I don't have access to my PS3 anymore and 2 it's another multiplayer focused game which I don't really enjoy. Plus it's a spin off and I treat spin offs in that "would be nice to have but I don't really include them as necessary" territory along with any additional DLC trophies that don't contribute to the plat. The whole RE5 DLC trophies for example I also didn't do.
Thats how I am too.
I started Assassin's Creed, but after the first game I had to take a break.
I tired with MCC and Halo 5, but dear lord, the achievements near the end are fricking annoying like LASO. Got everything in Infinte tho since LASO is a lot easier.
I'm also working on the RE series. So far I've completed; REmake1-3, RE4, RE8. I've been working on Revelations on and off because of the late game grind in Raid and the only achievements I'm missing in 5 are the MP one which I need 2 other people to help with those. For the 360 games, because I hacked my GS a long time ago, I can't earn achievements in games I've already played once before, so I can't 100% CV or ORC. But luckily, or not so luckily, the PC versions has it own set of achievements.
I know it's a waste of time, but God damn I need it for my OCD
I was lucky to get the ones in 5 quite easily just trying to communicate non verbally with randoms to play along but yeah Revelations was a massive pain in the ass. If you try do it solo it's such a grind that I probably wouldn't have bothered. Thankfully you can get carried hard by the few that still play it usually using femHunk with a rapid fire magnum.
For Revelations, I went full try hard for the achievement. I bought another copy of the game, borrowed my brother's Xbox, and just grind with the two of them. It took my min account 70 fricking hours to get to max level, but with the two accounts methods, I got the second account to max in 20hours. Right now, I'm farming for weapons.
For Halo I got all the achievements in 3, ODST, Reach, 4, 5, and I have one achievement left in Infinite. I hate that Halo 2 never got an HD 360 port with achievements since I don't like or want to play on pc which was the only way to earn achievements for that game outside of MCC.
Depends. I have DMC 1, 3, 4, and 5 plats but I only buy and plat games I am almost sure I will like so I left DMC 2 out. I was disappointed in that one even as a kid. But I have some bias for the series so that may push me to eventually go for it.
I think it's due to interactions among players generally decreasing on those systems. There's generally less incentive to interactive with other players now and in turn, comparing trophies.
I'm playing RDR1 and I'm loving it but those online achievements seem fricking ass. I'm saving them for dead last. Are RDR2's online achievements easier?
It wouldn't be a trophy/achievement thread without one of these so what are your pet peeve trophies/achievements that you always dread seeing in a completion list?
Hardmode: no online only
For me it's speedrun trophies for any game that usually takes longer than 10 hours. I want whoever thought it was ok to put a speedrun trophy in a jrpg to be fired and never allowed to work in the industry again.
Trophies that require you to do something X times in a row. Like in FF9/10 where you need to consecutively jump rope 1000 times or dodge lightning 200 times. Fricking hell.
Grinding for items.
FRICK YOU YOKO TARO. I'm missing 2 fricking achievements in Nier Replicant, one for fully upgrading EVERY FRICKING WEAPON and funny enough, beating it in 15 hours. I had speadsheets with item drops and how many I needed left and it eventually became too much thay I dropped it. I absolutely loved the game, but it was too much for me.
Some of the items have the worst fricking drop rates. The eagle eggs were especially bad. I played the original 360 release of Nier. Luckily I enjoyed the game so much that I bought the DLC which made the eagle eggs MUCH easier to get.

I'm beyond mad they didn't change that in Replicant. I'm in the same boat as you. I haven't finished the game yet cause the overwhelming grind just put me off.
missable trophies that are so specific they require you to refer to a guide for the entire playthrough
Its just not that much fun having to constantly pause my game to refer to the guide on what I have to do next. It's even worse when no text guide exists and I'm forced to watch a video, making it take even longer.
JRPGs are an absolute b***h for that. My ideal trophy list is one without any missable achievements or online achievements that you get just from playing the game once while doing everything and maybe a 2nd time time for a NG+ run with all your new gains.
Look at resident evil remake and and dmc1 trophy lists. REmake is especially cancerous. Speedrunning a survival horror? Using only the knife? Shit like this makes me not want to trophy hunt but I did it anyway
Working on AC Valhalla right now about 89hrs in. Usually I hate picking up shit in games to collect a trophy. This will be my 30th plat. Rarest plat so far is Stranding Deep.
The flags in Assassin's Creed 1. They're the last things I need to do but the fact they can be glitched and just not count makes me not want to even bother.
I've been playing through Ryza 2 to get the plat and my enjoyment of this game has been absolutely crippled by how stupidly small the item box you have is. Reaching my cap so often means I can't get a lot of gathering done and I've got loads of roadblocks in my alchemy so I can't make shit so often that I eventually just gave up and have put the game on easy to cruise to the end.
Chernobylite. Awful fricking boring piece of crap made with laziness game
Sitting at 17 plats. What should my 18th be Ganker? I've cleared the souls series.
Chernobylite was comfy starting out, but they did get lazy with the enemy lines and the ost could be repetitive. I'm 70% on that one will probably wrap it up in August.

I'd like to get started on Sunbreak, but they still haven't added the steam achievements. How hard could it possibly be to do this?

No. I just do it in order. Series has to be completed or my OCPD autism flares up
Sometimes. I'm got 98 right now and I want Elden Ring to be 100, so I'm playing DQ11S in between for 99.
I made sure that the SSX plat was my 1000th trophy.
Is SSX PS3 worth playing?
It's a far cry from classic SSX in terms of design, but it's still pretty fun. Kind of like a mix between the out of bounds areas in SSX3 and On Tour. >1000th trophy

That's super autistic anon. No one is going to care or see that.
That BB trophy is just a Gold one, not the platinum. It was far too late to plan for that when I realised.
Yes, for Conan Exiles, but I cheated.
Everyone cheated on Conan Exiles.
Yeah Im getting Ace combat 7 platinum, I just need to grind flight distance which is pretty boring. Also working in Devil may cry 5, last I got was Hollow knight
Going for Death stranding def edition rn, 100% ed the "normal" one on release
I have 67Platinums
54 of them are fake made on the ps3 with trophy unlocker 1.1 back in 2011
Should I just give up on RD2? Sunk in over 400 hours already. The challenges are fricking killing me.
waiting for the next gen patch to drop before i dive in
lol i know
How? That game was easy to play except for the gold medal missions, which I finally did with a good guide.
https://psnprofiles.com/series/1016-ps1-classics
https://psnprofiles.com/series/1015-ps2-classics
Any PS1/PS2 classics on PS4/PS5 worth buying and 100%ing?
Platinums are worthless bro only do fun ones.
Finally got the platinums for the Crash trilogy. Had them since they came out but never bothered to try and go for the time trial relics. Sunset Vista was a b***h.
The Jak trilogy.
I got ever achievement except for Stormy Acsent time trial. I've been stuck on it since it released on Xbox. Every now and then I dedicate like a day trying to get it, but I've still haven't gotten it.
I don't think I have the patience for that. Gem is easy enough, but time trial can frick right off.

Alice Madness Returns
game is pure soul
Make sure you get the first game as free dlc
Got the PS5 upgrade for RE7, but I lost my save. An excellent reason to go through a great game again.
last one I got was for 2077
you need to do the other yakuza games. No, doesn't matter if you like them or not. Get it done. now.
The only plats I've gotten in these past two years or so are Elden Ring and Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon (terrible game btw)
After 6 years I finally got the hardest trophy in Titanfall 2. Now I just have to clean up collectibles and Master mode
Somebdy grabbed my name from psnprofiles and messaged me asking to clear the challenge for them but the lag in Share Play made it impossible
Not to rain on your parade, but did it really took you 6 years to go under 33 secs in the gauntlet?
Not constantly for 6 years. I bought the game at launch and gave up. I went back a few years later and still couldn't do it. Then this week I had an itch to get it done again.
Last three: Road 96, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Games I'm working on: Psychonauts 2, Dead Cells, Borderlands 3
How long is road 96? I just downloaded last night.
6-8 hours. I did it in 7 but You need to reach the end six times. If you die / get caught by the police then that playthrough doesn't count. The upper limit for losses is 4, afterwards you can't lose. I died once and was caught once.

The game is very clunky and lefty leaning if you care about politics but I really enjoyed the somewhat RNG nature.
I wish Sonya would step on me.
hello fellow completionist
working on ass creed origins and holy shit i hate it
You will explore every place and you will like it.
i did yakuza 5 so yeah, i will grind through this as well.
You poor bastard. I was planning on going through every AC game, but after having to play through AC1 twice because of one missile achievement that by the time I got to AC2, like 3 hours in I needed a break. Ive been on break for like 2 years now. One of these days I'll go back to it.
I kinda wish they added trophy support for AC1 but then again frick those flags
I'm amazed that Origins and Oddysee have such high platinum percentage on psnprofiles considering how much shit you have to do.
origins is surprisingly fun, going around the map to the question mark spots and stuff
Odyssey though is a pain in the fricking ass
The only platinum trophy Ive ever unlocked was in Nier Autamata and the only reason I have it is because you can buy trophies after you get E ending. I was like 4 short so yeah, I guess i'm a filthy trophy cheat.

lol at how desperate they are to distance themselves from NFTs
>lol at how desperate they are to distance themselves from NFTs
Can you blame them? NFTs are like the single biggest way to earn ire these days.
i've been putting off playing death stranding, worth going for the plat on that one?
might have to get around to it after stray comes out
Depends if you can tolerate the "game". It's a movie, and a below average one at that. It'd be like playing Until Dawn or something for trophies, but with less interaction.
>had a PS3 and PS4 for years
>never got a single platinum
I had a ps3/4 for years before I finally got into trophy hunting
So I have a lot of games with bad trophy percentages that I’ll probably never go back and clean up
HENKAKU? You're free to collect trophies on a hacked Vita. Just make sure not to cheat/hack trophies and you'll be fine.
Hollow Knight. Got Cuphead back to 100% after the DLC. Not sure what's next. Might play Battle for Bikini Bottom for nostalgia. Easy plat.
Cool
>No Dark Souls 2: SOTFS platinum
Come back when you've beat Fume Knight
I'm actually about to start doing the platinum of BB, I've played through it a couple of times on release so I have a lot of the normal playthough trophies, just need the chalice, all weapons, all endings and a couple more.
Chalice dungeons were actually pretty difficult for me, much harder than the base game at least
Especially defiled ammy
Defiled Ammy fricked me up too.
>Platinum trophy is locked behind multiplayer which is long dead
Should be a crime to do this
I recently platinumed Resident Evil Remake after having it for a long time, I enjoyed it.
>one ONE trophy unobtainable thanks to server shutdown
ahem, frick you warner bros
What game
mad max
Yeah I have that plat, shame they didn’t patch the scrap crew challenge to be obtainable offline
>was rushing to get Mad Max done since the closure announcement
>had about a month left
>game has way too big of an open world with the same few activites to do over and over
>can be locked out of the 100% trophy at any time if the game glitches and doesnt count an activity as complete in the menu tracker
>if the glitch happened it required starting a new save, meaning the online scrap collecting requirement would have to be redone
I had to play Doom Eternal on PC just to fix it.
recently got plat trophy on salt and sanctuary on vita
next gonna do odin sphere and muramasa
Any trophy hunters here who have HEN?
What's your rarest platinum? For me it's Skate 3 at 0.2%
Reason it is so rare is because the game gained a ton popularity long after the online servers shut down
Max Payne 3 and GTA IV
cod ww2 at 1.56 according to psnprofiles
GTA V (PS3) and Destruction Allstars are tied at 0.1%
Styx: Master of Shadows at 2.30% per PSNProfiles, followed closely by Deus Ex Mankind Divided at 2.32%.
Street Fighter 5 at 0.97%
0.2 with Just Cause 3. I don't know why, it's a bit dull doing all the challenges, but it's not all that difficult.
on steam mine is Golf with your Friends at 0.3%. probably because they keep adding achievements after years of inactivity. They just added like 6 more achievements too
No
I play through a game once and wait for a sale to consoom next product
all you autistic shits doing pointless grinds to get a digital trophy are pathetic beyond redemption
how do you guys feel about this sort of stuff being publicly available?
I get having a list of games you've "completed" (although I wish so many trophies weren't grindy shit, not my idea of game completion), but I feel like the timestamps are too much information.
then change your privacy settings, i personally don't care
Everyone can see I game between 9 pm and midnight mostly because I’m a normalgay
Well on my way to the next one
Probably some Visual Novel
psychonauts 2
liked the first a little better but good game
elden ring and ender lilies
ReCore. apparently made by the jap who did the metroid games. It's a huge collectathon that barely has a story and terrible combat. I'm not sure why I got all the achievements other than I felt like I had to finish it completely.
Working on the terrible multiplayer trophies in The Last of Us Remastered, and I hate it. Frick whoever came up with this "journey" shit
why are you doing it if you hate it?
I started up Crash 4 and I can't fricking stand the obnoxiousness of this game. These relics are borderline spirit breaking to boot.
To this day I still don’t understand he point of achievements and for some reason I want to see them on the bing bing wahoo games.
They’re fun
I hope SoulCalibur Broken Destiny, Ridge Racer 2, and Dino Crisis have trophies, Gankerros.
I want trophies for legend of dragoon if that ever comes out
Trophies for classic games are set by the developers if they care to. Considering Capcom didn't bother with RE1, I wouldn't hold out hope for Dino Crisis trophies.
Just like Namco didn't bother with Tekken 2. Let a man hope they actually add them this time.
I fricking did it Ganker
After rage quitting at getting the time trial for Native Fortress and putting it off for five years I went back and platinumed Crash Bandicoot 1. outside of a handful of levels it wasn't too too bad.
FRICK HIGH ROAD WHAT A STUPID PIECE OF SHIT POORLY DESIGNED LEVEL GOD FRICKING DAMN IT
Nice work mate. Crash 2 and 3 are vastly easier.
I wish re4 had more trophies theres nothing worse than a fricking awful trophy list for a good game
got Bloodstained for free with the PS+ thing, I've played it before on PC and loved it, so I decided I wanted to platinum it while playing on hard
really fun game and I loved every second of farming everything needed for the platinum, shame even on hard (and nightmare) it's so easy to break it through specific items and shard combinations
took like 20~ hours for the platinum, a normal playthrough should take even less
redpill me on trophy/achievement hunting
It’s the same thing you did as a kid trying to 100% a game but this time there’s something that tracks it for you
It's the most organic way of keeping a log of games that you've played, even if you dont go for 100%
Trophy hunting is like one big meta game and every game you play is part of that meta game that you're always working towards
it's a waste of time, but I understand that if you like a game a lot it gives you something to keep interested
Got this bad boy last week
How was it?
Probably the best arena fighter I ever played, game is completely dead and the trophies were more grindy than hard
Worth playing to unlock and fap to SSJ Ryuuko and Satsuki
NTA but does it have any online trophies or is it just comfy solo fighting?
You can get all the trophies offline, but it requires 100 Versus matches
When I say "Versus" I mean just fighting the computer 100 times*
That doesn't sound too bad. I think I'll pick that up for going for plat. I already have the game but I've just played it casually. Might just do everything except the fight grind and then just get it casually with friends over time. Appreciate the heads up, not really a game I see mentioned all that much.
if you played with another person you'd see how annoying the RPS gets
I played a few online when it first came out it didn't seem that bad but that was also literally day 1 so I don't know how often that mechanic got abused after that
Trophies ruined gaming for me, I had to get rid of my console completely to actually have fun again.
3 years free and not looking back, use my computer exclusively. Feels good because achievements on steam are useless anyways because of SAM.
Thats pretty fricked up that you'll do something you don't enjoy just for a pointless accomplishment.
Not the anon you're replying to, but that's a common thing that people do in general.
Who said anything about not enjoying it? Not being motivated to do something and not enjoying something are two completely different things.
So your goal is to complete games, thats fine. I found it void of meaning eventually so I just play games for their story now and the fun aspect.
Skipping Operation Racoon City? I did too.
Yeah Revelatiosn 1 is pure aids for grinding. I absolutely hate how bullet spongy they made shit in that mode. Thankfully 2 made it much easier.
Why did cheevo/trophy culture basically completely evaporate with the 8th gen?
I think it's due to interactions among players generally decreasing on those systems. There's generally less incentive to interactive with other players now and in turn, comparing trophies.
Probably gonna start saving them for that PlayStation stars program
Those bastards at Sony better make themes for ps5. Only a few ps4 games giving you them for a plat was so lame.
I want whoever thought it was ok to put a speedrun trophy in a jrpg to be fired and never allowed to work in the industry again.
playing on hard mode usually has a trophy attached to it
so for me, it's online only trophies
I platinumed kingdom hearts 2 and 3, working on 1 right now
Working on AC Valhalla right now about 89hrs in. Usually I hate picking up shit in games to collect a trophy. This will be my 30th plat. Rarest plat so far is Stranding Deep.
Anyone else just a few trophies off a plat that you could easily stomp out in an hour or so, but just lack the will power to care to do so?
The flags in Assassin's Creed 1. They're the last things I need to do but the fact they can be glitched and just not count makes me not want to even bother.
Both Senran Kagura Versus games, I am missing the last few trophies and just haven’t gotten around to finishing them up
It kills me that the online is dead for DaS3. Now you have no choice but to grind for covenant items.
