Probably just you. I can't imagine repeat threads on a board that has been around for 11 years and can barely talk about anything that's happened in the last 17 years.
its cuz the pc engine threads usually die pretty fast
Compared to Saturn and PS1 threads almost nobody talks about it
more interesting library than the saturn too. i get the comparisons, but the pce has very distinct ports (unlike minor differences between ps1/saturn) and it actually managed to survive the full 16-bit gen (it had a solid 7-8 year run in japan, saturn only had 4-5 years)
Ninja Spirit
Alien Crush
Devil's Crush
Super Star Soldier
Soldier Blade
Splatterhouse
Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu
New Adventure Island
Legend of Hero Tonma
Sidearms
Blazing Lazers
Cadash
Dragon's Curse
Probably one of my favorite TurboChip/HuCard games on it. Coryoon is also good if you get the chance to try it out, fun and easy like the Air Zonk games.
Also since I don't see them mentioned, check out Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire, Cotton, and Super Air Zonk. Still my three favorite Turbo CD titles
the pc engine cd is STACKED with incredible ports and console exclusive shooters:
metamore jupiter
nexr
R-TYPE franchise
ordyne
1943 franchise
Aldynes
Cho Aniki
gunhed
all the darius games
cotton (difficult port but so cute)
download
twinbee
F R A Y
dragon spirit
LORDSGATE OF MOTHERFRICKING THUNDER
How is it such a colorful soulful console, the world before everything was bitter irony or zoomer purple became the only version of colorful we could get in games anymore
I want one of these so bad. Hudson makes the best controllers for famicom and Saturn, and some really fun games. Definietely a fan, and this console is nice and compact. But I have some many games I to play on nes snes and Genesis that I feel I should wait
Valis Legend of a Fantasm Soldier is really good. It is, confusingly enough, the last Valis game made and they finally got the gameplay to a very good level. The rest of the series is fun, but carried pretty heavily by presentation.
The Genesis version is kind of worth playing so you can experience the disbelief of a playing a game where you can't even tell if attacks connect or not because both hitboxes and attack confirmation sounds/flashes apply at random.
It isn't just the Genesis version, though. Every single version of Valis 1 except the PC Engine version is terrible. The reason being that the PC Engine version was actually made last, presumably just so the whole series could be on PC Engine, the platform it is best known for.
Dungeon Explorer
Bloody Wolf
Galaga '90
Splatterhouse
Is it me or does this exact thread get posted at least 1-2 times every week?

Just Google it. The library's so small that all the decent games already show up on top games lists.
its small but it has plenty of hidden stuff
hell, a bunch of the capcom games don't even get discussed

yeah, 1943 kai is a very overlooked port. naxat did a great job. the new original mode completely shits all over the base game

yeah, its a solid B game
the genesis version is by a totally different team and it plays like fricking ass

Devil Crash and Street Fighter II': Champion Edition.
That's it, just those two.
>Devil Crash
the most overrated game on the entire system, and better on genesis
Hope you like shmups.
