I feel that, I've been having a hard time wanting to play anything. Wanted to do a second playthrough of Yellow, but I started with a pacifist run and now don't want to hurt any of the characters. At least making bots is productive. Idk what all goes into that, but I'd assume it's good programming practice or something

Not really its just trial an error. Slotting in words, taking words out, repeating words over and over until it trips some threshold the bot incorporates it into their generation. Its just annoying that I can't make bots I'm not interested in but also so easy that It feels like just something to fill the time.

Yeah its why I never finished the Martlet bot I was making. I just couldn't be assed to whittle down the personality until it felt right. In fact I gave up on most of the Yellow bots I was making just cus I don't like the characters enough. The two characters that I do like Honeydew and Kanako there is not enough material to work with for me to compare the the bots feel flat and generic that spin off into tangential but ultimately unrelated nonsense.

I'm gonna need to make a really juiced up Event Manager to deal with cutscenes. Using the animation player ala cinemachine on Unity is 100% not a good idea if I'm gonna do crazy shit. At least the Dialogue Manager is basically done I just need to polish it. I should probably try to keep everything as simple as possible for the NPCs so they're easy to animate and manage.
As someone with no context on game making, what's so bad about the cinemachine on Unity?
Nothing. It's meant to let you animate complex camera motion for cutscenes and is used everywhere. It's just that sometimes it might be annoying if I want to use the dialogue manager and something like it doing animations on the overworld at the same time as it's gonna firing stuff while the dialogue is running. Ideally I want to sync up both so I can make them do exactly what I want at the correct timing.

What the frick is wrong with Flowey on neutral? I get it, Martlet is annoying but surely he can tell that Clover literally cant progress in that moment, why doesnt he step in like he did with axis? I get he has to do and say all the same stuff before that point to keep the illusion he doesnt know what's happening, but why also keep doing the very thing that's stopping clover from reaching asgore? the devs didn't finish the Asgore neutral ending so you can't really go to Asgore in the neutral route, you're always forced to talk to Martlet and have Flowey intervene

There is no dungeon after UG Apartments on ANY route, and the asgore fight can quite literally just be lifted from Undertale wholesale, like they already do for flawed pacifist. Literally all they need to do is write slightly more dialogue it cant be that much

There's no such guarantee in Undertale proper, and sort of depending on how far you're willing to stretch the meta applications of Undertale, he's aware of the actual Chara bartering with Frisk for passage to the outside world.
I actually thought up of a whole theory about this but the abridged version is that the genocide run is a dead end timeline, and Flowey knows that a reset is inevitable. This is the biggest difference between UTY Flowey and OG Flowey, where the latter becomes aware that once you kill him, you'll erase the timeline, the entire world, and his death will finally be permanent. So, for one reason or another, Flowey in UTY literally has nothing to fear. That's why he says that "castle might as well be a coffin." Doesn't matter if Clover doesn't die in this specific timeline, because it will happen eventually, and chances are that Flowey has already watched it play out.
OG Flowey thought Chara came back and was trying to re-befriend his sibling, not realizing they're just a demon who shares their name

What exactly makes the Justice route so Kino? Genuinely the some of the most fun I've had playing a game.
When you contain all the meta elements on flowey you can actually realize there's a genuine conflict and reason a child would be killing every monster that they encounter outside of "I just really wanted to know"
There's an actual narrative reason behind, that and there's more than just two proper boss fights for the route.
Because it has the best ending.
Because it continues to frick with your expectations in ways even someone savvy with UT couldn’t predict, like with Clover going SSJ against Axis or the fact this is the ONLY ending where he survives.

Axis gives you a trash can lid to block his attacks, you corner Axis and he's forced to use the trash can lid to block your attacks. He gets angry the more attacks you block, you get angry (shown by the SOUL shaking) the more attacks he blocks.
All of it is you doing to him what he did to you... except for Clover blowing his head off with a laser beam. That's what he did to Integrity, not Clover.
But if you imagine that's somewhat like Integrity getting her revenge through Clover, everything starts to make more sense.

Then multiply that by 3 for 5-6-7, and you get 4 and a half years as the best case scenario. And that's assuming everything stays at the average and doesn't get screwed over and delayed, so 5 years is very possible.
That's assuming there are 7 chapters and not 11(including Chapter 0).
