What the frick, this is incredibly romantic, even Scarlet's has some wiggle room from Alain's side to be platonic. I kind of feel like shit going for anyone else after that.
Okay, but that doesn't stop elves from moving somewhere else.

Not anymore but the status quo was basically set in stone for a while before Alain came along.

Anon, are you mentally challenged?
At least it's stated in the final scenes how Cornia opens up to all kinds of races. Maybe they were even more racist than the elves before.
She should abdicate her rule and allow people to represent themselves then.
It's always elves that have to welcome other races. I want to see elf NPCs in Drakenhold and Cornia for once.
The elves did try and seclude themselves to avoid Zenoira until it didn't work out.
Not anymore but the status quo was basically set in stone for a while before Alain came along.
>people of all races and creeds can live in harmony
I will never understand how people don't realise this is a logical impossibility, which is even more absurd if it's an elf that is failing to realize it.
Social cohesion is the primary component of peace and harmony.
Diversity implies lack of social cohesion, specially when it's diversity of races and creeds.
The elfs, and Eltonilde herself, certainly existed long before Alain and the Zenorian Empire were born. If this game had decent world building the elfs would have been living in relative isolationism since forever, not as a reaction to the tyranical empire
There were talks of border conflicts between Elheim and Cornia during Ilenia's rule, and Drakenhold has always hated Cornia. Unity is achieved in UO because of what an amazing ruler Alain is. He's the world's messiah, an avatar of the unicorn.

Also, the Elheim-Cornia border thing came up because there were sightings of a Bestral in their regions. The two kingdoms agreed to deport him if they found him.
Yes, but his life is but a mere spark in a flame from the perspective of an elf. They would know better other than to rebuild the world and their own kingdom after this short lived ruler.
Also, there's no reason for Alain himself to have an internationalist/mass miscigenation view for his kingdom.

We don't know how long elves live. As for Alain he's leasing and International/multiracial army of people working together for peace. He has all the reasons to believe in it.

>We don't know how long elves live
It's fair to assume that it's centuries, isn't it? >As for Alain he's leasing and International/multiracial army of people working together for peace. He has all the reasons to believe in it.
No, he doesn't. Any worthwhile leader would know that Fighting a war against a common enemy doesn't mean you can build an unified mixed empire out of it, at least not whithout a clear rulling hiearchy comprised of a mostly homogenous class like literally every empire that has ever existed irl.
In other words, you can have nations ruling over other nations (which is what the zenorians were doing), but if you try to mix these nations in hopes of it becoming one nation, it will collapse from withim.
Of course, it's a fantasy world with fantasy races, but I see no reason to believe it would go any different from irl, if anything, because the racial differences are greater in the fantasy, the likelyhood of it working should be even smaller.
Isn't Alain portrayed as a competent and wise ruler? It's fair to assume he would know better than to be a fricking globalist.
To me this is clearly the devs/writter conveying his irl bias and worldview, or just trying to be politicaly-correct in this regard because many people nowadays wouldn't see a traditional monarch as a competent ruler.
Regardless, the game does not necessarily has to be consistent with real life but that doesn't do any favors to suspension of disbelief.

The original Zenorian invasion was described as taking place centuries before and most of the related knowledge is already forgotten, so much so that a leader that saw at least one generation mature into adults don't know why the sancturaries built after it fell were for.
Yes he does, stop being brainwshed by the current divisive decade. People can and do live together in peace, and eventually step up against religious extremists and the rich that want them divided among themselves for their own benfit.

You're one of the same anons that actually and unironically seethes about Clive beyond just memeing about it and insists he should die, and willfully ignores that Alain is the very first person to agree with him and work with him while Clive says he'd follow Alain to the ends of the earth, aren't you?
Humans and elves can't really cohexist because the birthing rates (high for human, low for elves) and how much land each wants to occupy would put them at odds with one another in very few generations.
Humans who are thriving always expand, and elves hate people destroying the land. But expansion requires some destruction.
There's nothing in the game to suggest that, you're just repeating some mudcore dark fantasy talking points. Being jaded and having zero optimism is boring.

The elves are completly generic fantasy elves in this game and the humans are just humans.

In the woods, in harmony with nature or some shit.

I swear I read "how does", not how long...
Tolkien elves were immortal, your generic dnd elves live up to like a thousand.

D&D elves are currently 700 or 750 years at max.

One, dnd elves usally live up to 700 in most editions. Two, by providing two very different examples you show there's no generic lifespan beyond "longer than humans" that you think others share with you. Elf life span varies from 150 to immortal between fictional universes so we don't know if UO elves can outlive two or twenty human generations.
There is nothing else to talk about.
The game has zero challenge, so there is no point in talking about gameplay, you can just steamroll everything by doing whatever, HOW you do it isn't interesting to talk about.
The story is just your generic, revolution hero saves the world from the evil empire.
Bro it's been a fricking month. We've talked about the video game itself multiple times a day, every single day, since the demo released. It's time to accept the game is kind of at the end of its lifespan for meaningful discussion.
95% is a vast overstatement, but yes the waifuhomosexualry has definitely been looming over the threads since the beginning. And obviously it would because look at the girls in this game. There's nothing to be done about it. However there was at least also plenty of actual discussion. Not nearly as much now.
I haven't either honestly. I have to pace myself with games like this and take pretty regular breaks otherwise I get burned out and never finish them. Only for the strategy subgenre. I can sit through a normal RPG for multiple hours at a time no problem. Don't really get why this is.
In my case, I forgot that I could get so addicted to a game, but I was also fricking around a lot, roughly 60 hours and still in Bastoria. Then karma struck and the galaxy said I spent too much time with UO, so real life made me not being able to play for a whole week.
Maybe I finish it this weekend. Probably not.
>waifu posting ruined a lot of game threads
Anon, when people try to talk about the game it's even worse. The worst threads are when people are talking about the game. I mean this sadly and unironically
I hadn't checked my quest log in hours and found a failed "The Battle of Kleinfeld" quest, probably because I took the castle before the checkpoint. Will this frick me over in any way?
Just so you know this only shows characters that have 2 or more rapports with each other. Plenty more have just 1. Also Alain is excluded for obvious reasons.
Yunifi has some of the most wholesome rapports in the game >Tells Ramona that she considers her, her mother, blood be damned >Gets mittens with Morard >Gives Govil a nice brushing >Jokes around with Dinah to cure her racism
That made it all the more surprising that she immediately jumped to multiple impregnation talk when getting the ring from Alain.
She wants children badly, her bestral friends are just stand-ins for children the same way modern women describe themselves as "dog mom" or "cat mom" and their furbabies
So far the only one I've used extensively was the first flier I got. I went with Hardy/Luck with her and gave her an apathetic voice. I have close to 20 I think? I probably won't use most of them.
>kino last mission >get a bunch of cool units >can't do anything with them >nothing else in the game to do >no reason to build a team with the new units >only thing to do is a TZ playthrough >there is nothing new about TZ >you can't bring the new units with you in TZ
>play something else.
What I actually want is a post-game though. Or an actually hard mode. Not just play the game again. I guess I can do that though. There are a lot of classes that I didn't use
>he ringed a girl with a mount
You know what she does with that thing when she thinks nobody is looking right? You already knew about it when you proposed to her didn't you, you freak?
>been hoarding all my dews >was about to ask who I should use them on outside of wife >decide to check back on coliseum to buy them out >>>>they're actually really fricking cheap >>>>>>and infinite
Wow, some how whenever I passed through the shop my brain just assumed they were limited and I never noticed thats its literally 3 seconds in the colosseum aux to farm one out.
No wonder everyone says the game is easy.
>No wonder everyone says the game is easy.
I used no dews and the game is still easy. That's not a bad thing, but it does mean that if you didn't do your first playthrough on Expert then you're a pussy
Anon... it's 2024. People look at pictures of each other on their cellphones, and then meet up exclusively to frick each other, and that's just a normal thing to do
Rosalinde is already trying to start a half-elf kingdom with Alain before she even rescues her sister, and who knows when Railanor is due to sprain her ankle.
A girl's gotta work quick if she wants to bag a king.
>after beating the game, you can freely switch your maiden to see other scenes
Man, i feel for my Alain now i just blueballed him for the entire game when he could have left Elhein fricking Railanor’s chocolate breasts almost immediately.
Josef didnt spend ten years of his life being a father figure and dealing with survivor’s guilty only to hear Alain got milked to death after saving the world.
Josef is so weird as a jagen, he is such a great target for exp items since Divine Cross is a really strong move and his level up quality improves massively once he hits level 40+.
Imagine all the elf woman and male humans getting together after the war is over after they free their homes side by side.
Even though all humans are horny for elves of the opposite sex, there's not a lot of half-elves because most humans look like potatoes whereas the elves all look like epitomes of beauty and sex.
Ridiel was right, the elf had to have particular fetishes to go with humans.
Just finished the game on Expert, my two best units were: >Alain + Melisandre frontline, Scarlett + Umerus + Yunifi backline >Clive + Adel + Renault frontline, Monica + Jerome backline
They literally just ran over the entire final map, wasn't even close. I only used the two of them and another unit to defend the base. Also, swordmasters fricking suck, i was tricked into using them because of Fire Emblem but everything late game can block and they deal actual no damage unless you have a way to consistently guard seal. At least the flurry attack is good for breaking trough the final boss' shield.
Next time give them a runic blade off-sword bro, magic attack can't be blocked and goes straight through hoplites. Or mystic conferral them and your keen edges will kill.
Mandrin has Pursuit Earrings, it is pretty crazy how much good shit you miss out on if you execute those two.
I dunno. I did use the Bandit and Miser to farm gold, but it's not a big deal. I tried to use the Pursuit earrings but they're not good enough to be worth a slot imo
Gonna be honest, i dont really like either of them.
I'm playing on Expert for the first time and autistically trying to avoid losing members of a unit (they die = restart map) while not using items, is this the right way to play or am I just moronic for trying to play this like FE?
There is no perma death like in FE or Ogre Battle besides for the NG+ difficulty.
Nah, I think it's good to have at least a few character's who don't immediately suck the main character's dick after their arc, why I also liked Bryce. Obviously you can only do so much with rapports but I liked how she comes to acknowledge that while it doesn't change her own feelings Ghislaine was in the wrong for what he did, makes her willingness to marry Alain not feel absurd.
The plague doctor mask is so cool that I'd let him stick around just for that.
>no way to add it, even via a mirror
It's cute that you can recruit clerics with it from her town at least.
I think Nina is both better designed and also way more compelling as a character than Kitra. Nina is a girl who joins bandits and then acts wierdly corteous and kind to be one because she actually wanted to be a knight, but is still childishly bratty. Kitra is a full on knight, except she behaves like a brat with no manners for some reason. Maybe if I did more of her rapports I'd find out why, but of the few I've seen, none of them felt particularly meaningful or revealing.
Kitra acts the way she does because her entire family was killed during the initial invasion from Zenoria. Only thing she's learned since then is how to fight instead of stupid royal decorum and she doesn't consider herself royalty anymore because firmly believes that there's nothing left for her other than the Knights of the Rose even after the war, she's only higher class in name only.
I like Kitra because she's one of those tomboy sweetheart types, and also she's a womanlet so IMAGINE.

It's okay if people inside of a unit die. If people inside of a unit die, then if you stay a a command post for one cycle, they will get revived, and depending on who in your squad you lost, you could continue on anyway
Using items or not is up to you. If you're on expert you can "only" use 10, which is an absolute shit ton that you will never actually use. The only ones I ever ended up using were the wind charms that negate assist attacks
>Getting up in Alain's personal space, falling asleep on his shoulder, and telling Alain to watch over her so she doesn't overexert herself
Vs. >Discussing nature with Alain, holding hands with Alain, and hugging Alain as per human traditions of courtship
Imagine being an elf, and some human upstart prince waltzes in during the middle of an invasion and boots out the enemy and proceeds to bang the top 2 elf reps.
He's not even 100 years old at least!
But you can't say anything because the prince is apparently unicorn jesus.
I had some issues with it, but that was just because i went to Elhein immediately. It is really all about actually using items, and Yahna’s gravity skill also does a lot if you are struggling.
>Didn't realize everyone had trouble on this until after I beat it.
Did you not notice that his units are level 5, genius anon? Also, I beat this level, blind, with three level 10 squads who were level 15 by the time this was over. I just sat in the middle on 0 stamina and waited for shit to stop spawning
Just imagine being Joseph >your queen's final order is to abandon her to her fate, so that you may raise her son in safety to one day reclaim the throne >raise him to the vest of your ability to be a fine, just, and kind-hearted ruler that can also handle the difficult decisions demanded of a king >he grows up to be a moron that pardons kidnappers, rapists, bandits, and unrepentant war criminals >you caught him eating fricking grass with one of said bandits the other day, as though he were cattle >he's given the Ring of the Maiden to a human-hating werefox with whom he intends to spill his royal seed in her lowborn dog vegana, and he can't walk back such a decision without a vengeful god obliterating his entire bloodline and nation in retaliation
Anyone here that understands japanese? Was looking at endings and Railanor confuses me somewhat. Her dialogue post coronation makes it sound like she is going back to Elhein, but the actual ending is pretty explicit about her living with Alain. Was there some sort of mistranslation or is it also like this in jp?
I really should go all in on featherswords next run, only one i really used was Ochlys. Just felt hard to justify replacing any of my other chars with a tank that only deals single target damage at that point.
Used the other angel classes a frick ton though, Feathershield is based.
Yeah i did. I considered slapping Umerus on that team, but i didnt really know what unit to replace at the time.
In hindsight, i feel like replacing Virginia would have been the play.
A bit unclear, didnt mean i had Virginia with Ochlys. Meant i thought of using Umerus + Ochlys with Gilbert, but ended up never going with it and instead just never used Umerus.
Sorry, just woke up so my wording is all fricked up.
>Choice to kill effectively gives worse rewards long term than sparring/setting-free.
Why even bother giving the option when there's only one good choice?
I really wish there was no option to execute anyone (because it's off character, doesn't reward you and also doesn't change the narrative), and i also really, really, really wish the country progression was linear. One of the big advantages this game has over FE narratively is that with no permadeath you can have units show up for the entire game during cutscenes, and yet a lot of them don't because you might not have recruited them yet, and some of them feel really bizarre like how Virgina just dissapears after you clear Drakenhold. I wish they just made it linear and had characters from each region be recurring in the narrative. I mean it's basically linear anyways considering the enemy levels

>Characters give you shit in 1-2 lines after sparring. >Zero effect on rapport, nor on recruitment lines.
The moment I chose to let Gammel go, then saw Rolf join Alain and have lines apologizing for the way he spoke to him was when I knew there was 0 reason not to do it everytime.
They probably planned for something like Tactics Ogre where for example Ochlys doesn't join you if you spare Mandrin, or you have to pick one between Bertrand and Govil instead of being able to get both. It's just weird they didn't axe the choice system altogether.
They are narrow and unfit for childbearing, and her ass is small, making it comical with how front heavy her engorged breasts and slightly round belly make her look, like a cow that should be kept in a pasture rather than be allowed to walk around or talk to people.
>get to Drakenhold after 20 hours of bumbling around >those noises Virginia makes when getting stunned
I'm starting to understand the cousinsisterwife agenda. When do I unlock class promotions? I saw the Fighter ones during the round trip through Cornia after rescuing scarlet
It's just so heartwarming and then hot to think about her being there for you and comforting you when you're feeling down, and then gently taking your hand and guiding it between her legs
>Yahna is voiced by Aoi Yuki
She can do any anime girl archetype so well to the point where even though i'm usually good at it, i can never tell her apart, i just think "this character sounds nice" and it ends up being her
>mostly having a breeze on tactics mode, barring one or two fights that I wienered up because of poor party comps or level difference
Should I step up to expert? Outside of the item limit, is there stuff like increased levels or limited EXP gain?
Ludwig should've married Virginia, then there would be no fighting.
Also how are both Gilbert and Ludwig ultimate good guys yet their father was a ambitious bastard
>hurr let's create all this beautiful art and then cover it with a shitty dark blue filter 50% of the time
it's fine to have a few night missions for atmosphere but having a day night cycle was a fricking mistake
i just cheated 99 dream blossoms and pop one any time I would be about to go on a nighttime side mission
I watched a few whamen play this game on YT and they are of course threatened by sexy anime outfits but love the Sharon x Angel yuri moment. I will henceforth attack everyone that ships them as fujo trash
>when I BTFO you?
kek, you get nothing when you "BTFO" me, champ. You're the one going out of your way watching shit that makes you mad and then telling internet strangers about it, if it even happened
>Why are you changing your story, snowflake
You should go reread all the posts before you get your panties twisted any tighter. Nothing's changed, child. You sure have a tiny, tiny short little fuse don't you? It must be so difficult going and looking for (or making up) things that make you upset and then telling strangers about it. No one cares, sweetie
She's not a hag. She has the body of a 20 year old. Why are you emphasizing her age when her body doesn't reflect it at all? Shouldn't you be more excited about the elf characters in that case?
Have you actually listened to the words she uses?
She speaks like an actual old woman traveling with young kids boya, or ye olde whatever they did in english idk.

>Glad you could make it, Josef. >Watch your tone with me, boy. You may be the prince, but I'm still more promoted as a paladin! >As if I could forget. Listen Josef, there's something about the plague you should know... >Oh no. We're too late. These people have all been infected! They may look fine now, but it's just a matter of time before they turn into zenoira puppets! >What? >This entire liberation quest must be purged. >How can you even consider that? There's got to be some other way. >Damn it Josef! As your future king, I order you to purge this city! >You are not my king yet boy! Nor would I obey that command even if you were! >Then I must consider this an act of treason. >Treason? Have you lost your mind, Alain? >Have I? Ser Josef, by my right of succession and the sovereignity of my crown, I hereby relieve you of your command and suspend the Liberation army from service. >Alain, you can't just- >It's done! Those of you who have the will to save this land, follow me! The rest of you... get out of my sight! >You've just crossed a terrible threshold, Alain. >Scarlett? >I'm sorry, Alain. I can't watch you do this.
Vanillaware very rarely does DLCs, and never sequels. I really, really wish I could say otherwise because I desperately need more UO content, but that's how it is. Maybe if it does well enough (and it sounds like it did) they'll finally change opinion, but if even at this point they still refuse to adapt to PC it seems to me they're still set in their ways.
Why don't they I wonder, they miss out on an inbuilt fanbase which this game will have for sure. I have never even heard about Vanillaware as a developer until I played this. But I have seen their IP's and they looked interesting. What other game would you recommend from this dev? I also want to buy something as I'm playing a pirated version.
Dragon's Crown and Odinsphere are easily available and fun action games/action-rpg's.
Opinions about 13 Sentinels are torn, it's a VN with a thinly veiled tower defense.
Haven't played Grimgrimoire.
GrimGrimoire is a console RTS (not an SRPG, an actual RTS) so that kinda limits it to at best being alright. It's neat and the story is actually really interesting, basically japanese harry potter with timeloop shenanigans but the gameplay gets pretty tedious halfway through.
>but the gameplay gets pretty tedious halfway through
That's almost all of Vanillawares game.
It surprises me how I can continue to play UO for hours. Even though I love DC dearly, I still can do one run through some dungeons once and then don't pick it up for a whole week.

After endgame I just spend all my time in the coliseum to win fights against other people online. It's actually kinda fun.
>dark elves >we designed our cities to be a maze to easily defeat any invaders >elves >we made an unbeatable defense system that turns off if the enemy captures a bunch of bridges that are outside of the defense system
>Elves spend their days hugging trees and engaging in their human fetish >Skin is white as snow >Dark Elves spend their days making more labyrinths in a cave, many spending their entire lives in said places >Melanin-enriched people
Nay, I am marrying Scarlett. It's time for the line of the Maiden and the line of the Genetically Engineered Unicorn Hybrid Pope to finally unite.
...oh frick, I just realized, going by what the game reveals, it's Scarlett who should be using the ring of the Unicorn and Alain the one who should be using the ring of the Maiden.
Has anyone actually tried making units with these guys? I used that save editor to put the postgame characters in my TZ run and it turns out they have their full skillset at level 1.
This is a console game so sadly most likely no mods.
If it was on PC I would expect someone to have autistically modded the equipment and tactics of every single unit in the game to create a true TZ mode.
>imagine a lv50 Auch pulling a insta-trinity rain on your ass
The way VW implemented the romantic rapports is silly af. >Alain hasn't ringed anyone yet? Yeah, he'll promise Scarlett to never make her jealous again and be with her, then turn right around and promise Celeste he'll make her a princess, then turn right around again and hold hands with Eltolinde under the ervelda, , then turn around again and... >Alain has ringed someone? Sorry Leah, I can't just chat with you at night about king Hugo so you can overcome your crippling depression, that'd be a betrayal of the girl I love.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/1/16d3ce27.jpI think the Japanese sub is fricking shit.
Voices that don't fit characters at all (Colm).
Over emotive performances that scream "I AM ACTING".
Face it, JP voice is just comfort food for you gays. Inoffensive slop, if you will.
I just got the upgraded version of the rings. I gave it to Rosalinde but it seems that the ring's skills are made to be used when they're on the same team.
I can't put Rosa in Alain's team because it would be a waste. Rosa is too strong to be there, strong enough to carry the whole team and Alain's team has always been my trump card. Is there really a good reason to put the couple in the same team for the last boss?
Yeah, unfortunately there is a reason. It may not be absolutely necessary depending on your team comp and how fast you can win I believe, but otherwise you'd need both skills.
>terrible taste in units
I bet you only use 3 teams overall, one for alain's team, one for cavalry trio, and one for Trinity Rain. Though that's to be expected for a moron who unironically fight waifuwars.
STOP trying to pack all contingencies into one page of gambits. START using saved gambit presets to cover situational conditions instead.
i.e. want a unit to take a different course of action if there are caster enemies present? don't fill those precious gambit slots with "if casters are present" conditionals, just have a separate page of gambits that can be instantly swapped to when up against a unit with troublesome casters
>cavalry so gets double damage against infantry aka the bulk of the game's forces >but also so tanky not even fliers can do shit to him >spin2win aoe that ignores defenses >self heal >capable protector on top of it
He absolutely is
His only underwhelming ability is cavalry slayer
Ren>Rosa>Elto>Alain>Yunifi is what id consider top 5.
Berengaria essentially can solo shit and is probably the best tank in the game while dealing shitloads of damage, Elves have Roar and excellent support (Rosalinde is better due to more agressive stuff that works better). Alain is an excellent tank and damage dealer while having the bonus of being on a horse and extra valor points. Yunifi is a 1 trick pony that needs specifics but that 1 trick basically wins you fights automatically.
Everyone's got good valor skills there cept Yunifi's who's skill is kinda meh.
>TZ run >want to have one of each class in the game >also want to have each unit be made of generics and have 1 representative from each continent >furries to the north, elves to the south, angels to the west
People overrate cavs way too much. Other than Alain all the rest are fairly balanced good to great, but certainly not OP tier.
They start off super strong going up against mainly unpromoted infantry with the ap refill, when most units have very little ap to work with. But once fliers and armor become common in every team they get pretty useless.
Fliers are the true OP unit class. Full flier teams are nigh unkillable even with an archer or two, you need truestrike mapwipe comps (i.e. the really broken stuff) to kill them in a single round.
The game is more or less OP out the gate anon. Getting into an argument of what is truly the most OP is just baiting and/or announcing you have a small dick.
I strongly disagree.
Most of the classes/skills are fairly balanced and make for really interesting rock-paper-scissors type game, except with like 50 different types.
The issue is the devs didn't bother to optimise AI loadouts and tactics properly, so it's perceived as "easy". Most the AI units you fight in story don't even have full accessories slotted. Against properly thought of and geared teams like the arena teams it's actually really fun, and you can always tweak the difficulty there with a few points of stats here and there.
So I really do hope someone would eventually fix all the AI gears and tactics to give us a true TZ mode.
>Full flier teams are nigh unkillable even with an archer or two
They get cleaned off pretty easily come Albion and the Final battle unless you overlevel them or outfit their gear.
I cleared the final mission on expect with just Calvary however no matter how much I tweaked and set up my Wyvern/ Gryphon riders they were just getting smacked and don't get me started on how much I have to tune angels. Horse boys you just need to make sure they atk and def is comparable to the enemy and you win.
Any% is the basic obvious one.
Any% No Summons would be a category that would force people to actually play the game.
I don't expect to see the game at GDQ or ESA anytime soon.
up to you, the localization stuffs a lot of trash in like sugar coating Berengaria threats when purposed to and her breaking of the convent in the post game but both are about the same.
At first I just thought artists needed more time to play the game and invest themselves into it but now comparing with the deluge of fanart Dragon's Crown got and still keeps getting, I'm just confused. Maybe it's just that this game is longer and more complex and will take longer to reach that point? Still should have been more stuff from the typical artists that just ride the popularity wagon.
I'm at the To Resist or To Yield quest in Bastorias.
Am I correct in assuming picking a side will lock me out from recruiting the other character and not picking a side will let me recruit both?
>listen to me Alain, and listen well >unicorn or not, you WILL cheat on your wife with us >you WILL breed hot elf bawds >you WILL father tens of half-breed bastard children >you WILL do it or Cornia will burn >am I understood?
What hard counters foxes? I keep taking too much damage from every fight in the final Bastoras mission. The ones to blame are frontlines full of foxes.
Say I want a character with the row wide pursuit skill to only trigger when another character attacks the backrow, what sort of commands should I put on? Is "Backrow" enough?
I just started playing, and Ive read that the game is on the easy side, but I suck at tactics games, what difficulty should I play on? Is it easy to over-level in this game?
I still recommend playing on expert. It's not very similar to most other tactics games, so your experiences with them aren't indicative of much. You can change difficulties at any time in any case, so you can always lower the difficulty later if needed.
Wait so truestrike literally means even the passive skill evade won't even work?
Yes. Skills that block attacks like Parry do function against truestrike, though.
You can't get invaded by land, meaning that the invader can't leverage potential numerical advantage without sinking much of their resources into ships that take time to be built and can be sunk with magic?
Pretty sure in the Elheim plotline, it's directly stated that the Zenorians still had massive problems getting through that wood.
Just because you have water around your lands doesn't mean said land makes for good landing zones. It's still a logistical nightmare, especially for premodern armies.
How long does a generic elf live?
Considering this is a japanese game, probably at least a thousand years, if not a couple of them. Western fantasy tends to tone these lifespans down a bit more than the east.
>it's directly stated that the Zenorians still had massive problems getting through that wood.
They did, it took Alcina's help to get any of them through.
The entire purpose is to use pleasant smelling ones to mask the scent of rotting flesh and her interest in medicine suggests she has exceptional hygiene.
>Etolinde's third rapport
What the frick, this is incredibly romantic, even Scarlet's has some wiggle room from Alain's side to be platonic. I kind of feel like shit going for anyone else after that.
Aryan Elves
First handholding
Then hugging
Don't fall for it! After Alain passes on, She's going to annex Cornia into Elheim and create a kingdom full of half elves!
Gilbert has Alain covered.
Eltolinde is more noble than that.
She should abdicate her rule and allow people to represent themselves then.
It's always elves that have to welcome other races. I want to see elf npcs in Drakenhold and Cornia for once.
The elves did try and seclude themselves to avoid Zenoira until it didn't work out.
It would be nice if things could work out like that in real life, instead of how it works out in real life.
>people of all races and creeds can live in harmony
I will never understand how people don't realise this is a logical impossibility, which is even more absurd if it's an elf that is failing to realize it.
Social cohesion is the primary component of peace and harmony.
Diversity implies lack of social cohesion, specially when it's diversity of races and creeds.
The elfs, and Eltonilde herself, certainly existed long before Alain and the Zenorian Empire were born. If this game had decent world building the elfs would have been living in relative isolationism since forever, not as a reaction to the tyranical empire
Well, it's the same writing that allows Gammel to live no matter what, and Elves in caves to be dark skinned whereas Elves in the sun to be light
>>Isn't Alain portrayed as a competent and wise ruler? It's fair to assume he would know better than to be a fricking globalist.
>too brainbroken to even contemplate the possibility of a fictional world being different from ours
>There's nothing in the game to suggest that, you're just repeating some mudcore dark fantasy talking points.
The elves are completly generic fantasy elves in this game and the humans are just humans.
How long does a generic elf live?
In the woods, in harmony with nature or some shit.
I swear I read "how does", not how long...
Tolkien elves were immortal, your generic dnd elves live up to like a thousand.
D&D elves are currently 700 or 750 years at max.
One, dnd elves usally live up to 700 in most editions. Two, by providing two very different examples you show there's no generic lifespan beyond "longer than humans" that you think others share with you. Elf life span varies from 150 to immortal between fictional universes so we don't know if UO elves can outlive two or twenty human generations.
Don't believe her lies, she's gonna use you and your kids to feed the mushrooms.

Post your favorite artwork you have for your waifu.
Yahna my beloved
holy fricking sex
Yahna is great because Blizzard is broken as FRICK in the right team.
Freezing the backrow basically breaks any regular enemy squad
Why would you ever use blizzard when you got trinity rain?
I like ice
Trinity rain doesn't cause status effects and is far more likely to kill you if it gets reflected by a filthy feather shield.
Also
>Implying I don't have the black cat ears in the team with the blizzard, and the white cat ears in the team with the trinity rain.
The full art is reaction image gold.
Was it a popularity poll or something
Card game.
It's just the card game promotional art.
Idk why i just think this is funny. Not like theres a lot of art for Rai anyway.
On-model/10.
Blasphemous fool!
The official artwork, but that kind feels like cheating.
waifu posting ruined a lot of game threads. i wish you guys would talk about something else. i wish this game didn't have rapport or marraige
How about bringing things up you want to discuss instead of complaining? Be the change you want.
There is nothing else to talk about.
The game has zero challenge, so there is no point in talking about gameplay, you can just steamroll everything by doing whatever, HOW you do it isn't interesting to talk about.
The story is just your generic, revolution hero saves the world from the evil empire.
Waifu posting is all there is.
Sad truth.
Well at least almost every waifu is very high tier.
How bad or boring does the pvp autism get?
>HOW you do it isn't interesting to talk about.
I politely disagree.
You do know that neither ever stopped other games from having wafiuthreads right,
You people always b***h but never bring up anything other HURR WAFIU BAD MUH GAME
Bro it's been a fricking month. We've talked about the video game itself multiple times a day, every single day, since the demo released. It's time to accept the game is kind of at the end of its lifespan for meaningful discussion.
Yeah no, let's not pretend threads for this game weren't 95% pajeetposting at all times like
That is an extremely important reply. Also, I would like to address the fact that I am most likely the whitest person in this thread.
95% is a vast overstatement, but yes the waifuhomosexualry has definitely been looming over the threads since the beginning. And obviously it would because look at the girls in this game. There's nothing to be done about it. However there was at least also plenty of actual discussion. Not nearly as much now.
But I haven't beaten the game yet.
You don't like it when Ganker gets unreasonably upset about team comps for this baby-difficulty trpg?
I wish homosexuals like you would stay away feom my gaming niche
I hadn't checked my quest log in hours and found a failed "The Battle of Kleinfeld" quest, probably because I took the castle before the checkpoint. Will this frick me over in any way?
Yeah, you are pretty much bricked now. Should restart.
Nope. I did the same thing first playthrough, did a second playthrough where I got it, nothing changed.
no 100% quest completion for you
The game feels very plain and boring.
I stopped playing before I even rescue the girl.
Basically the entire first country is a tutorial. Game ramps up on that rescue mission, then ramps up harder in Drakenhold.
Bruno forced to mating press Selvie for her genetic experiments
damn this is SICK
thanks man
Just so you know this only shows characters that have 2 or more rapports with each other. Plenty more have just 1. Also Alain is excluded for obvious reasons.
>Yunifi
You just know.
Yunifi has some of the most wholesome rapports in the game
>Tells Ramona that she considers her, her mother, blood be damned
>Gets mittens with Morard
>Gives Govil a nice brushing
>Jokes around with Dinah to cure her racism
That made it all the more surprising that she immediately jumped to multiple impregnation talk when getting the ring from Alain.
It gave me the impression that Bastorias is one of those "have as many kids as you can because half of them are dying before 1 year" places.
She wants children badly, her bestral friends are just stand-ins for children the same way modern women describe themselves as "dog mom" or "cat mom" and their furbabies
cute in the sleet
animal in the sheets
Also
>That ass
>Those thighs
If you don't recruit sharon ochlys will never join you rven if you executed the bandit
How many generics did you use?
Zero
So far the only one I've used extensively was the first flier I got. I went with Hardy/Luck with her and gave her an apathetic voice. I have close to 20 I think? I probably won't use most of them.
4 soldiers for Chloe squad
I'm horny.
We know, Rosalinde
>kino last mission
>get a bunch of cool units
>can't do anything with them
>nothing else in the game to do
>no reason to build a team with the new units
>only thing to do is a TZ playthrough
>there is nothing new about TZ
>you can't bring the new units with you in TZ
There's a save editor if you want to give them a shot
Yeah but that just seems like such fricking overkill. I don't know if it would be more fun or less fun to start a TZ playthrough with the new units
I am just trying to punch Galerius as hard as I can.
Anon, maybe it's time to play something else.
>play something else.
What I actually want is a post-game though. Or an actually hard mode. Not just play the game again. I guess I can do that though. There are a lot of classes that I didn't use
Playing on TZ is your only option until VW decides to add more content.
I'm just beating up other people's teams in the coliseum
A NG+ where you keep all units but lose all levels and equipment would have been cool
Yeah it is a shame, i would have loved to use Elgor and Alcina.
foxo sexo
>he ringed a girl with a mount
You know what she does with that thing when she thinks nobody is looking right? You already knew about it when you proposed to her didn't you, you freak?
Nah, my Alain made Ochlys his mount.
Why are you so obsessed with beastiality? An unhealthy relationship with your mom? No strong father figure?
Why are you so hostile? Is it because you were already thinking about it, since it's clear I touched a nerve?
>been hoarding all my dews
>was about to ask who I should use them on outside of wife
>decide to check back on coliseum to buy them out
>>>>they're actually really fricking cheap
>>>>>>and infinite
Wow, some how whenever I passed through the shop my brain just assumed they were limited and I never noticed thats its literally 3 seconds in the colosseum aux to farm one out.
No wonder everyone says the game is easy.
>No wonder everyone says the game is easy.
I used no dews and the game is still easy. That's not a bad thing, but it does mean that if you didn't do your first playthrough on Expert then you're a pussy
>spreads her legs as soon as being rescued
what the FRICK is her problem?
Anon... it's 2024. People look at pictures of each other on their cellphones, and then meet up exclusively to frick each other, and that's just a normal thing to do
Classic love at first sight with Eltolinde for the man who saved her life and her kingdom.
Plus the way she says Alain-sama is really cute.
Rosalinde is already trying to start a half-elf kingdom with Alain before she even rescues her sister, and who knows when Railanor is due to sprain her ankle.
A girl's gotta work quick if she wants to bag a king.
Elves belong to human dick.
t. dwarf
You know it bro.
god i love brown elves
>slay Galerius scene with Josef as your covenant
Kino as frick. I think this is the only time he directly uses Alain’s name when addressing him.
>after beating the game, you can freely switch your maiden to see other scenes
Man, i feel for my Alain now i just blueballed him for the entire game when he could have left Elhein fricking Railanor’s chocolate breasts almost immediately.
Can you recruit mom? I assume if you can its by doing the post-game quest?
CUM
Ok but in who?
whoever Alain choseth I shall pursuit
>Josef watches Alain have sex in case his wife tries to kill him
Josef didnt spend ten years of his life being a father figure and dealing with survivor’s guilty only to hear Alain got milked to death after saving the world.
Josef cums inside afterwards to secure an heir, shit would go south if Alain died
>"I AM WITH YOU!"
Josef is so weird as a jagen, he is such a great target for exp items since Divine Cross is a really strong move and his level up quality improves massively once he hits level 40+.
heh
imagine being an elf who gets jumped by a human solider.
Imagine all the elf woman and male humans getting together after the war is over after they free their homes side by side.
Why only male humans and female elves?
I don't care about elf males.
But the game does.
Good for them.
This game has INSANE forehead moe. One in every 3 girls has a cute smoochable 5head
Even though all humans are horny for elves of the opposite sex, there's not a lot of half-elves because most humans look like potatoes whereas the elves all look like epitomes of beauty and sex.
Ridiel was right, the elf had to have particular fetishes to go with humans.
The continent is going to be almost nothing but mutts in a few generations, it is pretty funny how horny humans and elves are for each other.
They always act cold and aloof toward each other until they actually encounter them face to face.
Nah man, the human women are also thristing for elves. Cant forget our guy Ithilion getting a cute village maiden.
That soldier is gawking at some Elf Fencer booty too.
With how they dress, it's hard not to. You just know the fairies are into some Elf x Human action.
>Dark Marquess - female
>Males are also called Dark Marquess
Shouldn't it be Dark Marquis instead?
Good units to set up doom knight with up front beside the obvious answer of other cavalry?
Wyvern
Berengaria
Thief
Shaman
Just finished the game on Expert, my two best units were:
>Alain + Melisandre frontline, Scarlett + Umerus + Yunifi backline
>Clive + Adel + Renault frontline, Monica + Jerome backline
They literally just ran over the entire final map, wasn't even close. I only used the two of them and another unit to defend the base. Also, swordmasters fricking suck, i was tricked into using them because of Fire Emblem but everything late game can block and they deal actual no damage unless you have a way to consistently guard seal. At least the flurry attack is good for breaking trough the final boss' shield.
Next time give them a runic blade off-sword bro, magic attack can't be blocked and goes straight through hoplites. Or mystic conferral them and your keen edges will kill.
If I kill everyone, what do I miss out on besides the characters themselves?
Gammel and Mandrin come with unique accessories.
Which ones are they? I think Gammel has the Bandit Sword and the Miser's Ring iirc, but I can't remember Mandrin
Mandrin has Pursuit Earrings.
I dunno. I did use the Bandit and Miser to farm gold, but it's not a big deal. I tried to use the Pursuit earrings but they're not good enough to be worth a slot imo
Mandrin has Pursuit Earrings, it is pretty crazy how much good shit you miss out on if you execute those two.
>Bandit Sword
Isn't that the sword you get from Jeremy or is that a separate sword?
Gammel is bro-tier. Literally.
He looks like he is about tell Mandrin he doesnt stand a ghost of a chance of getting with his sister.
>ITT
Won't be talking so high and mighty once he's addicted to BHC.
I'm not a fan of Seymour hair
I agree.
Cute ponytail > Weird Wing Twintails
Mind you, I love twintails but Nina is just cuter
Gonna be honest, i dont really like either of them.
There is no perma death like in FE or Ogre Battle besides for the NG+ difficulty.
Let me guess, you're a haggay.
I’m a Chloe and Lottigay.
If she wasn't a cute girl people would want to execute her.
The plague doctor mask is so cool that I'd let him stick around just for that.
A plague doctor warlock would be a pretty sick character
Nah, I think it's good to have at least a few character's who don't immediately suck the main character's dick after their arc, why I also liked Bryce. Obviously you can only do so much with rapports but I liked how she comes to acknowledge that while it doesn't change her own feelings Ghislaine was in the wrong for what he did, makes her willingness to marry Alain not feel absurd.
>no way to add it, even via a mirror
It's cute that you can recruit clerics with it from her town at least.
This is when I realized no one else could be getting the ring from me.
They are both incredibly based because their class is amazing
hammer too big, wish it was more grounded, like they real ones with the weapon's head being like around the size of two fists
I'm playing on Expert for the first time and autistically trying to avoid losing members of a unit (they die = restart map) while not using items, is this the right way to play or am I just moronic for trying to play this like FE?
I play like that. No items, no deaths, all objectives done.
If you lose a whole unit early restarting is fine as it cuts your valor points.
Where are the Chloe appreciators?
>Getting up in Alain's personal space, falling asleep on his shoulder, and telling Alain to watch over her so she doesn't overexert herself
Vs.
>Discussing nature with Alain, holding hands with Alain, and hugging Alain as per human traditions of courtship
3P
4P, because Railanor canonically watches
Imagine being an elf, and some human upstart prince waltzes in during the middle of an invasion and boots out the enemy and proceeds to bang the top 2 elf reps.
He's not even 100 years old at least!
But you can't say anything because the prince is apparently unicorn jesus.
I wish I were an elf, then I could live forever
Here's your horn, you silly horse.
Melissa!
I wish women were real
Its time
What's the plan here?
Just having them grind by shooting shit
I shouldve done this at the coliseum defense battle really but I wanted to wait till I got Rank A for all 5.
She is running it, I even made her leader!
Soldier only run?
>not letting Chloe run the grunt squad
Soulless
I dunno how people struggled with this map. It was easy and I didn't think to go north to recruit the squad there.
Just a unit in each ballista, another u it to handle the south enemies since there were more, and send my best squad straight to the south garrison.
Didn't realize everyone had trouble on this until after I beat it.
The only trouble I had was making sure my weakest links got the most levels.
Next run, I should put a generic soldier girl into every squad.
Just imagine being Joseph
>your queen's final order is to abandon her to her fate, so that you may raise her son in safety to one day reclaim the throne
>raise him to the vest of your ability to be a fine, just, and kind-hearted ruler that can also handle the difficult decisions demanded of a king
>he grows up to be a moron that pardons kidnappers, rapists, bandits, and unrepentant war criminals
>you caught him eating fricking grass with one of said bandits the other day, as though he were cattle
>he's given the Ring of the Maiden to a human-hating werefox with whom he intends to spill his royal seed in her lowborn dog vegana, and he can't walk back such a decision without a vengeful god obliterating his entire bloodline and nation in retaliation
Dinah is an elf that is effectively cursed.
A damn fine curse if I do say so myself
all according to keikaku
Grim future for cornea…
Anyone here that understands japanese? Was looking at endings and Railanor confuses me somewhat. Her dialogue post coronation makes it sound like she is going back to Elhein, but the actual ending is pretty explicit about her living with Alain. Was there some sort of mistranslation or is it also like this in jp?
This is my hastily made tier list made after beating the game completely blind on expert by just yoloing it
I also recently beat the game completely blind on expert by just yoloing it
Why would you not use most of the classes? Did you not get curious and want to try them out?
I was doing 1 squad for each zone, comprised only of unique units obtained there
I see you're a fellow feathersword enjoyer.
I really should go all in on featherswords next run, only one i really used was Ochlys. Just felt hard to justify replacing any of my other chars with a tank that only deals single target damage at that point.
Used the other angel classes a frick ton though, Feathershield is based.
Remember to give Ochlys Gilbert.
Anyone tried making a Warlock tank that counters?
>Choice to kill effectively gives worse rewards long term than sparring/setting-free.
Why even bother giving the option when there's only one good choice?
Challenge Runs
There's nothing "challenging" about cutting the throat of someone who's gonna have worse stats than a generic anyway.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they originally intended for a morality system like in Ogre Battle.
I agree
pat the chloe!
Love how heroic she sounds during the endings. Lil Chloe finally realizing her worth.
Berengaria is so strong it feels like her and Aramis/Gloucester/Gilbert would be mutually exclusive in older games.
Why does he take less damage when he is dead?
He's no longer debuffed.
that makes sense
Scarlett's breasts are sagging long and veiny, her nipples are inverted and her aeroalas are the size of pepperoni and constantly leaking milk.
Ew.
I will love and cherish those breasts and assure their owner that there's nothing wrong with her body and she's more beautiful than she thinks.
>her nipples are inverted
STOP I can only cum so much!
What about her hips?
They are narrow and unfit for childbearing, and her ass is small, making it comical with how front heavy her engorged breasts and slightly round belly make her look, like a cow that should be kept in a pasture rather than be allowed to walk around or talk to people.
Ew.
Mordon best unit.
>Captcha: KAAA
I had Mordon on Alain’s team from beginning to end. He is such a lovable dude and the class is very good too.
>get to Drakenhold after 20 hours of bumbling around
>those noises Virginia makes when getting stunned
I'm starting to understand the cousinsisterwife agenda.
When do I unlock class promotions? I saw the Fighter ones during the round trip through Cornia after rescuing scarlet
B Renown, you should have it very soon.
why doesn't the game let you marry and frick Hilda...
god I wish I had an elegant cousin with a fat ass who whips me into shape
This but unironically
It's just so heartwarming and then hot to think about her being there for you and comforting you when you're feeling down, and then gently taking your hand and guiding it between her legs
Anon, don't do this to me...
>"shhhh, Anon. Just let me make you feel better...."
SPLURT SPLURT SPLURT SPLURT
why is she such a bawd? She's fricking asking for it
She's going to marry Gilbert, you know?
Then marry her first, dumbass
Which girls are winning in terms of fanart?
>Yahna is voiced by Aoi Yuki
She can do any anime girl archetype so well to the point where even though i'm usually good at it, i can never tell her apart, i just think "this character sounds nice" and it ends up being her
Underrated girl
>Gilbert and Virginia get married, have a son who is doted on and also taught swordsmanship by Leah
cute ending for them
I love her, nice personality, interesting and strong class.
The class honestly surprised me, i thought she was just going to be an anti assist bot but i was proven wrong. She hits like an actual truck.
Gilbert and Leah will spend most of their time wrangling the new queen.
Me in the middle
Absolutely my second choice if I didn't go for childhood friend Chloe. I just need a good squad to put her and Aubin in
>mostly having a breeze on tactics mode, barring one or two fights that I wienered up because of poor party comps or level difference
Should I step up to expert? Outside of the item limit, is there stuff like increased levels or limited EXP gain?
You only get the secret sex scene with your beloved if you beat the game on Expert.
It’ll still be like that on expert
>manlet once again only mentioned to annoy virginiagays
there is literally nothing else going on for this character in these threads
It's always funny how the ending is only mentioned a few comments after a Virginia post.
Ludwig should've married Virginia, then there would be no fighting.
Also how are both Gilbert and Ludwig ultimate good guys yet their father was a ambitious bastard
I think losing their kingdom put a stop to any aspirations for conquest
They grow stronger.
Drill sergeant chloe
cute unit
Shouldn't commander Chloe be in the middle?
The right flank is the decisive one.
She is in the middle though?
why isn't corrine promoted
What's a good bestral unit makeup?
Why can't we pair Josef with a girl? No bestow of titles/a statue for our hero? Imagine if he got taken instead, that would be an impossible fight
Damn, thinking about it, he doesn't even have a wife...
W.W.M.D
What would Mother do?
There should've been a hardmode where Josef dies after the first battle
>hurr let's create all this beautiful art and then cover it with a shitty dark blue filter 50% of the time
it's fine to have a few night missions for atmosphere but having a day night cycle was a fricking mistake
i just cheated 99 dream blossoms and pop one any time I would be about to go on a nighttime side mission
>He doesn't enjoy stormy nights
How many Divine Shards can you get before you even do anything?
infinite, you can dig them up
Woops, my bad, I forgot to go to the island. So at least 53 shards before you even do anything
>infinite, you can dig them up
You cannot get infinite shards before you even do anything. You need to liberate a mining town in order to dig them up
59
I watched a few whamen play this game on YT and they are of course threatened by sexy anime outfits but love the Sharon x Angel yuri moment. I will henceforth attack everyone that ships them as fujo trash
That's not what a fujo is anon.
Those overlap, guy. I know what a fricking gay ass stupid fujo is
what do they say about Scarlett's Scarletts
Scarlett's scarletts are made for handholding.
>but love the Sharon x Angel yuri moment(s)
fixed that for you
that tent scene was mega gay
You sound like you made up a scenario to get mad about in your head, but you told us about it as a justification
you want a timestamp? What do I get when I BTFO you?
>when I BTFO you?
kek, you get nothing when you "BTFO" me, champ. You're the one going out of your way watching shit that makes you mad and then telling internet strangers about it, if it even happened
Sounds like cope, I thought I imagined it. Why are you changing your story, snowflake
Calm down buddy, it's a video game
>no u
I accept your concession
I accept you're a homosexual
I love Yahna
She's not a hag. She has the body of a 20 year old. Why are you emphasizing her age when her body doesn't reflect it at all? Shouldn't you be more excited about the elf characters in that case?
They are all old inside, young outside, what's the difference
Have you actually listened to the words she uses?
She speaks like an actual old woman traveling with young kids boya, or ye olde whatever they did in english idk.
If we go by how they talk then you should coom instantly when Raenys opens her mouth. b***h actually sounds like a granny in the japanese VO.
>Why are you emphasizing her age when her body doesn't reflect it at all?
Probably because she herself does it all the time.
Is Star Iron finite? I got a staff, which feels like a waste
You can get more later by playing the mining minigame. All the Star Iron equips have the same bonus
I'm gonna recolor Tatianna's stupid green hair!
That's fine.
If anyone does something to Yahna's green hair and eyes, we should hunt him down for the sake of humanity.
Breeding Yahna
Gorgeous

Game is in dire need of multiple level up quotes.
Josef has a few lessons for you, your highness
Need Josef's guide to purging plagued cities.
>Alain, you can't just-
>It's done! Those of you who have the will to save this land, follow me! The rest of you... get out of my sight!
>You've just crossed a terrible threshold, Alain.
>Scarlett?
>I'm sorry, Alain. I can't watch you do this.
>When Alain found the Unholy Bicorn Sword
>Got to plagued towns
>Expecting to do some purging
>Both towns are nothing burger
Wasted opportunity.
What's your total playtime, anons?
I think I will play Star Ocean 2 now until I get an inspiration for next challenge run.
I’m at 36:45 right now
about to finish elf land around 40 hrs
>see unicorn overlord thread
>get in
>see anon post picture of the girl in the game
>wtf
>my life is now ruined
I accept your confession
My beloved Melisandre...so cute and charming...
I accept this concession, you're alright now anon
So is this game financially successful? Will we get a sequel?
Sold half a million
Dragon's Crown
I've only played Dragon's Crown and Muramasa but I honestly enjoyed both a lot. Muramasa is more of a single player experience.
Are they still scared that their animation technique getting copied or something
bros, how could she say that to Josef...
she was having a woman moment as we say in the industry
Isn't she the bawd who pretty much demands to be the MC's concubine but also says that he can have only her if he marries her?
Yeah that's a fairly accurate summary actually.
She's just really dead set on alain
Why does she make the right choice so obvious? I can have her AND someone else simply by marrying the other woman.
>I can have her AND someone e-
Gerard died because he didn’t use his shield to block an arrow, not because he was cheating with his witch girlfriend.
That's what you were led to believe.
>Gerard died because he didn’t use his shield to block an arrow
The unicorn shot the arrow.
>bawd
She only wants Alain and if she gets the ring she "knows what (she) said, but (she's) the only one for (Alain) now."
what woman wouldn't want to be the kings concubinepd2dw
>dark elves
>we designed our cities to be a maze to easily defeat any invaders
>elves
>we made an unbeatable defense system that turns off if the enemy captures a bunch of bridges that are outside of the defense system
>Elves spend their days hugging trees and engaging in their human fetish
>Skin is white as snow
>Dark Elves spend their days making more labyrinths in a cave, many spending their entire lives in said places
>Melanin-enriched people
Now explain how Kitra and Nina lift their hammers
In spanish they literally called light and darkness elves.
Maybe it's about that.
Chloe is the only girl to secure the succession. The choice is clear Marry Virginia
>Scarlett is the one who reveals her massive Unicorn Overlord
kino
Has anyone actually tried making units with these guys? I used that save editor to put the postgame characters in my TZ run and it turns out they have their full skillset at level 1.
Could you share the TZ save with them edit in the beggining? I'm too moronic to use the save editor
I really hope someone makes TZ into a "everyone is level 50 and has 5 units in their squads" thing that lets you keep the new characters
This is a console game so sadly most likely no mods.
If it was on PC I would expect someone to have autistically modded the equipment and tactics of every single unit in the game to create a true TZ mode.
>imagine a lv50 Auch pulling a insta-trinity rain on your ass
It could be done through hex editing, but good luck finding someone willing to do that extensively.
>furries got their own skill set
>morand is just reskin bruno
Inoffensive slop, if you will.
shut the frick up, no one cares
>It's the best Fire Emblem since Radiant Dawn
Feels bad, man.
What is her malfunction?
It would have been cool if he had more unique monsters to fight against
She reads Dungeon Meshi.
Does this imply two head creatures are more common?
In my Alain's Cornia, there will be a eugenics program. Only Elf x Human pairings will be permitted. To do otherwise is punishable by death.
You have terrible taste in units and waifus
>terrible taste in units
I bet you only use 3 teams overall, one for alain's team, one for cavalry trio, and one for Trinity Rain. Though that's to be expected for a moron who unironically fight waifuwars.
>Alain was willing to die to protect her
>obvious parallel with Gerard and Alcina
>incredibly romantic ring scene
Canon winner right here
Parallels are low effort SLOP
wrong, she is for hodrick
pick someone else
t. Hodrick
>Provides everything Alain needs in battle
The perfect pairing
Of note is that she is also one of the few ones who doesn't get incredibly disappointed or angry at Alain for changing his mind at the altar.
It's like poetry so that it rhymes
STOP trying to pack all contingencies into one page of gambits. START using saved gambit presets to cover situational conditions instead.
i.e. want a unit to take a different course of action if there are caster enemies present? don't fill those precious gambit slots with "if casters are present" conditionals, just have a separate page of gambits that can be instantly swapped to when up against a unit with troublesome casters
I will not be taking questions
Amalia can't have kids and Berengaria leaves Alain before they have a kid.
>Berengaria tries to refuse the covenant
>warns you she will eventually fricking leave your ass if you commit to her
>she actually does
I admire the game actually punishing stupid people
Forbidden fruit is the most tantalizing.
More
but why is she like that
She had serious daddy issue growing up. They give no better context.
Town girl admits as much post game at the castle grounds.
>Amalia can't have kids
Huuuuh? Is this legit? I must have completely missed this.
I think people are over reading one of her rapports, the one where she talks about family and how she can't have that
Dinah and Chloe are a solid top2
the further from a real woman the better the list
We're so back UnicornBros!
Imagine her hair down
I love this fatass drunkard
>Seasoned
Yep, this confirms it. He was plowing the town girl.
What was his fricking problem?
His parents named him Rayman so he had a lot to prove.
Aside from Alain and elf bawds, who is in the top 5 of the units?
I wouldn't put Alain in top 5
>cavalry so gets double damage against infantry aka the bulk of the game's forces
>but also so tanky not even fliers can do shit to him
>spin2win aoe that ignores defenses
>self heal
>capable protector on top of it
He absolutely is
His only underwhelming ability is cavalry slayer
Cavalry Slayer is absolutely insane once you have to face him.
You'd be insane not to
He's the best unit in the game
Whoever your waifus and husbandos are
Yunifi
Berengaria
Yunifi
In terms of kit it's all the unique units, but this game is so easy
is the right answer.
Ren, Yunifi, and Elves are the 3 best. Not in any particular order.
Dark Marquess. All 4 of them are amazing.
>TZ run
>want to have one of each class in the game
>also want to have each unit be made of generics and have 1 representative from each continent
>furries to the north, elves to the south, angels to the west
So who represents Cornia and Drakenhold?
For Cornia it's cavalry, for drakenhold it's wyvern rider of course.
Drakenhold is the wyvern rider girls for sure
Cornia: Cavalry
Drakenhold: Everyone slightly brown (desert people), so Gladiator, male sellsword, housecarl plus dragon rider
For me it's BereNICE
I’ve literally never used her
your loss
the promoted version looks worse though
that shield is really bad
When's the mortal empires patch?
I wanna racially cleanse the furry area with my dragoons
Arena is great. Actually made me think and check what stuff the enemies use.
What are some possible speedrun challenges
Any% is the basic obvious one.
Any% No Summons would be a category that would force people to actually play the game.
I don't expect to see the game at GDQ or ESA anytime soon.
dub or sub
up to you, the localization stuffs a lot of trash in like sugar coating Berengaria threats when purposed to and her breaking of the convent in the post game but both are about the same.
I'm surprised how little non-ai slop fanart there is for this game, are artists intimidated by how good the official art already is?
At first I just thought artists needed more time to play the game and invest themselves into it but now comparing with the deluge of fanart Dragon's Crown got and still keeps getting, I'm just confused. Maybe it's just that this game is longer and more complex and will take longer to reach that point? Still should have been more stuff from the typical artists that just ride the popularity wagon.
We didn't have as many gachas when DC was released.
It was also a lot more controversial.
Dragon's Crown is by far Vanillaware's biggest success. Why aren't you comparing it to Odin Sphere or 13 Sentinels?
Because I want it to be an even bigger success than Dragon's Crown, duh.
Well it isn't. No point pretending like it's huge and people are just not drawing art of it because of made up reasons.
I'm at the To Resist or To Yield quest in Bastorias.
Am I correct in assuming picking a side will lock me out from recruiting the other character and not picking a side will let me recruit both?
Yes.
Thanks!
What's a good flier team? My team of vanguard, 2 gryphons and a sniper isn't cutting it anymore.
You got a team that can wipe cavalry and back rows. I'm sure you could make their tactics better.
>listen to me Alain, and listen well
>unicorn or not, you WILL cheat on your wife with us
>you WILL breed hot elf bawds
>you WILL father tens of half-breed bastard children
>you WILL do it or Cornia will burn
>am I understood?
Unicorn, you're watching right?
>shit man, b***h is crazy, I'm not getting involved
Just got my ass destroyed in the Three Poison Merc fight, time to restructure my teams.
What hard counters foxes? I keep taking too much damage from every fight in the final Bastoras mission. The ones to blame are frontlines full of foxes.
True strike, as is for all scouts
Say I want a character with the row wide pursuit skill to only trigger when another character attacks the backrow, what sort of commands should I put on? Is "Backrow" enough?
Yes.
Backrow, yes. Not the "prioritize" version.
I just started playing, and Ive read that the game is on the easy side, but I suck at tactics games, what difficulty should I play on? Is it easy to over-level in this game?
Normal if you are not familiar with the genre.
No its not easy to overlevel unless you go out of your way to grind.
I still recommend playing on expert. It's not very similar to most other tactics games, so your experiences with them aren't indicative of much. You can change difficulties at any time in any case, so you can always lower the difficulty later if needed.
Yes. Skills that block attacks like Parry do function against truestrike, though.
Even if your units are not perfect you can carry yourself through with Valor orders, items, or grinding.
>Elgor's victory pose is just him pointing and laughing
Wait so truestrike literally means even the passive skill evade won't even work?
Yes. Evade > Normal attacks. True Strike > Evade. Blind > True Strike.
Yes, any form of evade does not work against truestrike.
I hope Gammel's sister has the same face as him
I hope she's even more of a psychotic maas murderer than her brother, and curing her leads to the deaths of thousands of innocent people.
What's a rare Drakenholdian W?
I hope Gammel is the prettier sibling.
is there even any point in having two swordmasters in the same team?
Buffing an entire row with them using dirty gamblers coin, so no, not really.
guess Leah is getting kicked out of the Drakenholm team since Ludwig takes priority
Poor Leah, but then again, three swordfighters have to compete with all these other classes.
She'll find a home with Virginia's Rose Knight team.
What the FRICK was the Unicorns fricking problem?
None. Stable societies demand monogamous marriage. He's helping the Cornian Empire thrive.
Achieving world peace
What's the point of having a magic forest wall when you live on a peninsula?
You can't get invaded by land, meaning that the invader can't leverage potential numerical advantage without sinking much of their resources into ships that take time to be built and can be sunk with magic?
Naval invasions are generally far more costly to the invader than land-based invasions.
Pretty sure in the Elheim plotline, it's directly stated that the Zenorians still had massive problems getting through that wood.
Just because you have water around your lands doesn't mean said land makes for good landing zones. It's still a logistical nightmare, especially for premodern armies.
They have arrows, a lot of arrows.
How long do Bestrals live?
Hopefully not long.
5 dog years.
<3
Cannot come to the realization that pussy is pussy. When I look at you all I see is a MASSIVE homosexual.
>white woman-tier mentality
Its up Berengaria fans
https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/117518421
The non-lewd fanart of this game is unironically better.
I would eat Scarlett's stew, look her in the eyes and say it was delicious.
Beacuse that's what you do for the woman you love, you risk your life.
Why not marry Chloe so you can actually enjoy her cooking and not have to lie?
I can't control who I love and I love those big fat milkers.
Based and same. I'd then probably need to ask one of the clerics to heal me, but same.
Yeah, if it was all leads it would get old fast. But the amount of different stuff in the game keeps it fresh. I haven’t even gotten to Bastorias.
>I haven’t even gotten to Bastorias.
Enjoy polar bear shop when you get there. He's a treasure.
I’m looking forward to meeting the bunnies. It’s a shame they didn’t get any combat units.
Cute!
I wish this was their in game dynamic, a hot blooded warrior princess and her short king tardwrangler.
You may only sniff one. Choose wisely.
Primm probably. Tatiana would smell like death
The mask is filled with flowers, Tatiana must smell quite nice. Primm would smell like grease.
No all flowers smell nice
The entire purpose is to use pleasant smelling ones to mask the scent of rotting flesh and her interest in medicine suggests she has exceptional hygiene.
Weren't they actually filled by flowers because the doctors thought that the plague spreads through the bad air and weren't big believers in hygene?
Doctors in western Europe didnt believe in the concept of handwashing until the mid 19th century.
I choose the Sharon! Primm is for Aramis and I don't wanna touch Tatiana.
How do I make this party work?
Go all in on Dragoon Dive.
