They are. People are getting sick of it, because they're slowly realizing that it's exactly like any other drug.
Hopefully the world will be free of it someday.

The western AAA game development model is definitely on its way to a crash. Every single major western release has been an utter failure in recent years meanwhile smaller in scope Japanese and indie games blow them away.

      >utter failure
      >most garbage AAA games still make billions
doesn't look like a failure to me

If that happened (and it would be glorious, but I'm not that optimistic), it would be absolutely great for the industry. All the talent captured by big corps would disintegrate across the industry and we would have an avalanche of creativity for at least a decade.

you're assuming they have enough money to make their own projects
and that they'd use their savings to make videogames as the world falls apart
        gamers are so delusional

you dummie, this just shows supply of vidya is increasing because of indie devs shitting up the store

doesn't mean demand for vidya is rising
and demand will fall as the price of living keeps rising, why would someone buy a videogame when a meal costs $50 ?
    demand is already falling
