A deadspace esq game is something I would love to see in this setting. Going into the depth of the now abandoned mystery flesh pit and having to fight off the fauna and other abominations to retrieve some secret item for a black company. Sounds kino. You already have different suits to wear too.
How is that Calisto Protocol game?
I believe it wasn't good but it is Dead Space-y and I just came from the Jupiter thread so I'm just taking that into the next one.
Can't really say confidentially anon never played it. It apes off of deadspace of course but I heard the game is more melee oriented in gameplay and don't read the spoiler if you want to try it. The plot is all in your head and the game ends with you discovering your character is just some nugget who then dies anyways. At least that what I heard but I am probably wrong.
Tried way too hard to be dead space while missing key aspects of dead space noticeably lack of enemy variant. The story is just the cut story for dead space 1, level design is fricked >the fricking vents that are loading screens scattered all over
I liked the dlc tho
> I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream + Scorn + Blame! > game starts from being born inside some kind of meatstructure > everything is tight, wet and dimly lit, also warm and sultry. > you are naked, born adult and somehow knowing how to talk and do some basic things like walking and using your body but no clue where you are or what you are. > you meet some humans and other creatures of various mutations and sanity. > progression through mutation. You will be given many abilities from generic beastly strength/reaction speed/endurance to being able to consume nonedible things, seeing or sensing things others dont sense and being able to communicate with more non-human creatures at the expense of your humanity and making yourself hostile to other humans. There are many ways to acquire mutations, from eating or getting into some mutagen to being infected with something by doing some questionable things with other species.

Nice try, you just want to trick someone into developing your vore/endosoma fetish game.
Not op but if I wanted a vore game I'd be extremely blatant with it. Frick all this pretentious bs and pretending it's a setting with secret hidden deeper message.
Give me a game where you search for giant monsters like sotc and crawl into their holes
I fear(heh) that you would only end up with a shitty 'retro ps1 era style indie horror game'
but shit have it as a feature in your game, small town next to a dead mall.
no real supernatural elements but possibly some character with a mister X or clocktower style chase AI.
or just the sounds of someone closing in and snooping around if you stay to long but no actual character ABC2 Always Be Cutting Corners
This anon gets it. How do make an abandoned mall scary or threatening without added some enemy, or enemies? The psychological fear of the abandon mall is something that cannot be conveyed in a traditional aspect. Perhaps a middle ground with something like the first few silent hill games could work. Although I really like the sterile, forgotten in time look of dead malls but that wouldn't be too scary I suppose.
If itll make you feel any better, im gonna make a map in Hammer Editor based on MFP in the near future. The soundtrack will be a few tracks from Swans' The Glowing Man.
I just can't take this setting seriously because all the terror is naturally diffused by how braindead the good guys are. Like, this thing was probably going to come out of the ground eventually and utterly annihilate humanity but humans being literally oblivious are fricking it up and will probably kill it before it can do anything.

That's a Q4 problem. Right now it's making piles of money.
It has been a long time since I read about the setting, who were the good guys again?
Anyway, as far as I remember the whole park felt like a parasite or virus to the whole thing underground so I really can't see how anything could be done about it. If it moves humanity ends and that's it.
Honestly, I think a book of the new sun point and click adventure game could be awesome.
Actual Spoilers. Severian certainly gets resurrected enough times to make it vidya worthy.
A park management game in this setting would be kino ngl, especially if the consequence for failure is seeing the insult to nature you made be destroyed by it's surrondings.
Frick off Wendigoon
Stop stealing content and spinning a homosexual Christ cuck interpretation on it
No one likes you and we all know you have Kiddie porn on your computer
Also your wife is mid as frick
one of the moons or big asteroids or mini planets in our solar system
I'd go for near future, mining outpost/colony, conventional style that changes from claustrophobic corridors to grand multi story greenhouses, nuclear power plants, living quarters etc all set in the back drop of an accidental release of a dormant mutating virus (maybe from frozen water from under the surface) that has caused all kinda shit and the player take the role of a marshall sent to investigate whats gone wrong
weapons limited to conventional present day arms but tailored for the concerns of not wanting to cause a hull breach, thats what id do anyway
omg... its meat world... everything is meat... ahhh this is crazy theres meat every where
GODLIKE post
underrated post
>t.
>it's a hole
>but it's meat
so is this a top down map or what?
that is a real cave anon, a very nutty and putty one
hell yeah, looks like a great place to explore unmarked tunnels face first

Dead Space X Scorn
Scorn filtered me tbh. Seems real boring and too esoteric. Although the setting of scorn is a pretty close match to mystery flesh pit.

>spoiler
That's the DLC ending. The events of the main game do happen, but they lead into the DLC events.
Very poor deadspace clone
Generic action game
Dare I say it, no soul
Tried way too hard to be dead space while missing key aspects of dead space noticeably lack of enemy variant. The story is just the cut story for dead space 1, level design is fricked

They actually said "The next step in human evolution"
You can assess the quality on that alone

Give me a game where you search for giant monsters like sotc and crawl into their holes
>crawl into the holes of giants
literally xenoblade
I don't care about robots or golems
The line between horror and horny is all to familiar
FULLY
MODELLED
I can't remember the accurate lore on this, was it just made up bullshit or did they actually rip off a SFM porn creator?
he used an SFM porn model for Alyx so she was fully modeled, yes
>the FULLY MODELLED video where a gay breen said "HELLO WELCOME TO CITY SEVENTEEN" with a fruity voice got deleted from youtube
Rare to find a Flesh Pit thread here.
How would you develope a game in this setting? Seems interesting
it would play like [x game] but with [y setting]
>city builder
>rts
>assassin creed
>dating sim
>jrpg
>sports ball
City builder, WITH FANTASY
An ICO/Colossus style game maybe?
L4D style game playing as Conquistadors.
Expeditions: Conquistador is a thing, its a pretty fun tactics game.
Personally, I would go for a survival horror type game.
assassin's creed will do it first and it will just be assassin's creed
I'm surprised they haven't already. I thought they had an aztec one.
dark souls but aztec setting
mortal kombat but aztec setting
>Mesopotamia: The HD Remaster
are you serious?
abandoned dead malls would be the perfect setting for a horror game
I fear(heh) that you would only end up with a shitty 'retro ps1 era style indie horror game'

Ahem..
not a horror game
what..?
i don't play games with female protags
that's some troony shit
Heather is Ripley tier. She's a bro
Is that Hungarian?
That's kinda Dead Rising 1.
nah it should be empty not full of zombies
>tfw i can just ship an empty game and call it liminal horror and it will be a success amongst zoomers
There was a level in L4D like this, you had to find petrol for the car.
what i liked about FNAF Security Breach was the setting, it was perfect
shame about literally everything else in the game though
I remember those threads.
You are here
>The only proper recreation of this is on fricking Roblox
It's over for us.
There is a rpg that was crowdfunded on kickstarter. However, it is an table-top rpg...
If itll make you feel any better, im gonna make a map in Hammer Editor based on MFP in the near future. The soundtrack will be a few tracks from Swans' The Glowing Man.
I cringed at thinking about the amount of displacements needed for that
oddly enough Roblox is great for finding games that take place in niche or untouchable settings.
I just can't take this setting seriously because all the terror is naturally diffused by how braindead the good guys are. Like, this thing was probably going to come out of the ground eventually and utterly annihilate humanity but humans being literally oblivious are fricking it up and will probably kill it before it can do anything.
Is this real?
I mean people in real life are moronic, especially people in power.
>I just can't take this setting seriously because all the terror is naturally diffused by how braindead the good guys are. That's a Q4 problem. Right now it's making piles of money.
So what is the flesh thing? Anyone drawn what the actual creature is
It seems to be a giant starfish or worm.
I thought it was some massive dragon
It has been a long time since I read about the setting, who were the good guys again?
Anyway, as far as I remember the whole park felt like a parasite or virus to the whole thing underground so I really can't see how anything could be done about it. If it moves humanity ends and that's it.
After a thorough cleaning I'd love to go swimming here.
I have a one piece swimsuit fetish, this place is basically Agartha for me
An alien cyberpunk dystopia with a cruel lawless gang land and a brutal hierarchy to climb through dark bargains, odd jobs, dirty deed and treachery.
why can't stuff like this exist irl
the answer is real life fricking sucks anon
enjoy your heat stroke and aging
>why cant giant anuses be real
that's in Signalis
Bible.
You fight for the world destroyer.
that's SMT
I doubt it. They're gnostic. Gnosticism is satanic.
theres something about the fusion of flesh and dirt/rock that makes me genuinely want to vomit. metal and flesh doesnt even phase me tho
For me it's spanish conquest the New World.
Imagine being a giant earth guy just chilling and then a bunch of tiny monkeys come and put metal scaffolding in your mouth
Mouth?
Honestly, I think a book of the new sun point and click adventure game could be awesome.
Actual Spoilers.
Severian certainly gets resurrected enough times to make it vidya worthy.
Okay you guys are leaving out the best part.
This gigantic eldritch cave system made of meat, which could very well span the whole of Texas, if not America, has it's own Burger King.
A park management game in this setting would be kino ngl, especially if the consequence for failure is seeing the insult to nature you made be destroyed by it's surrondings.
battle on a ship carrying 2 mass produced factory furnaces. would be ultra kino
Frick off Wendigoon
Stop stealing content and spinning a homosexual Christ cuck interpretation on it
No one likes you and we all know you have Kiddie porn on your computer
Also your wife is mid as frick
Shut up nerd.
>mystery flesh pit
I liked it better when it was called NGC-1611
Name of the Wind setting, would be a huge nerd of that university and die trying to frick one of those warrior women from that matriarchal society.
I'd frick that national park
one of the moons or big asteroids or mini planets in our solar system
I'd go for near future, mining outpost/colony, conventional style that changes from claustrophobic corridors to grand multi story greenhouses, nuclear power plants, living quarters etc all set in the back drop of an accidental release of a dormant mutating virus (maybe from frozen water from under the surface) that has caused all kinda shit and the player take the role of a marshall sent to investigate whats gone wrong
weapons limited to conventional present day arms but tailored for the concerns of not wanting to cause a hull breach, thats what id do anyway
the first postgame dungeon in Elminage Gothic is like this
Some massive underground clusterfrick full of neon lights, nonstop trains, and crime syndicates sounds cool as hell.
I'm basically spoiling it but watch the horror film border lands if you like flesh pit
>Vidya settings
More like vidya fetishes.
Brutalist 70s conspiracy setting
You might like Control.
