I tried it out and it's not great. It's really easy to steamroll the who map.
I really wanted to like this game but it just felt so flat. The infantry felt meh and while the mechs were fun, they didn’t excite me at all. I was hoping the new theater of war mode would do something for me but the core game is so boring. I hope the devs learn from this game and IH2 can improve on the COH formula.
Are they making an IH2? I thought they still had plans for more DLC campaigns. But I do hope they improve, there's so fricking much I love about this game but the execution just isn't there. Though the game is good enough that I do have hope they can make the next shot better.
It will never improve the fundamental flaws of the games are a feature and if you think otherwise then git gud and you're banned from the discord and steam page.

Could it? Often when you see a cool drawing or animation there are comments under it saying that it would make a great game/movie/anime. Then when you think about how to build a whole world from just one scene it either turns out really generic or too convoluted to make sense. Somehow the devs managed to do both. And for what, a CoH reskin with a theme park of mismatched Polish symbolism, stereotypical factions and flat characters?
So much incompetence went into this project, it's actually kind of impressive.
I think they aped it too much instead of trying to adapt the rules around their biggest strength - big robots.
This resulted in CoH, but clunky and slower.
They should look at Universe at War as well.
It didn't exist during WWI, and soon won't exist anymore either. Prepare your anus papist kurwacuck, it's gonna be a thousand khatyns.
Your rape hordes barely win against ukis.
Just use nukes already and end the LARP.
You know that kid that's obsessed with the military and hates COH because it's "unrealistic" so they try to get you to download some massive mod that makes the game "more balanced and realistic!" When all it actually does is turn the game in to a shit fest?
>If you don't know about 1920 Polish-Soviet War this game is inspired by, you are a brainlet.
And who in the world would know that? What foreigners know about Polish history is how quickly it surrendered in 1939 and how eagerly it collaborated afterwards.
Yeah, it sucks that Roz put actual history and his fanfic in a blender when a proper game about that fairly obscure war hasn't even been made yet and then he let some amateur devs butcher it even further.
How is the mech to mech combat in this game? Tank combat is always high octane shit in CoH due to how fragile they are. Is it the same here or is it just a boring slugfest?
>Some similarities
Black person, 2/3 of his entire output are traces and the remaining third being practice sketches (many of which are traced later on, too)
How can you legally steal from the works of fricking Chełmoński, who is public domain anyway?
That was artist's overall idea behind his works - Comfy Chełmoński but with mecha gundam. You know, funny contrast. Then someone picked up on that and the rest is history.
>Somebody on the chans claimed that all of the artwork is traced or stolen. Is that true?
As aforementioned, it seems that certain parts of his art is traced (detailed breakdown here: https://imgur.com/gallery/pEsUJ). He's not a very good artist, hence why his original stuff, the mechs, are often placed in the far distance and are blurry to disguise that fact. It's still stunning imagery, though.
>Wasted potential
There was no potential to begin with. It was a hype-driven trainwreck, sold entirely on aesthetics and association with Scythe.
And Scythe itself is an ABYSMAL board game with reputation to match, sold entirely on aesthetics.
>3rd faction wasn't added till a month before release >Launch was so buggy and unbalanced it wasn't even funny >Took 5 ever to fix. >Even still the balance is shit lot's of bugs, shit AI, shit pathing and it's clear they did zero testing on Russian faction. >mechs move and turn at a snails pace for no reason. >Mounted guns like AT canon, morter canon, ect also move and turn at snails pace making them useless. >Retreat command doesn't give any defensive or speed bonus. You just lose control of the unit, meaning that slow units just die instantly. >air units are just mechs in the air. They are still slow as hell and anyone can target them. >All factions get the same 3 generic air units. The faction that's supposed to be the air specialization faction gets 2 additional air units but they are both trash >Originally bases where going to be like DOW2 but players wanted base building, so they made it that you have to build your base in the tiny, designated area where your HQ is. >AA guns can only be built at your base. No where else on the map even though bunkers and other defense can be built anywhere. >much like in COH2 the more unites you have the less resources you get, but they don't tell you this. >lots of secret hot keys they never teach or tell you about. Many aren't even on the unit command UI despite it working. Example is mechs can go in reverse, but there is no button for it on the mech UI, but there is a working hot key for it. >pointing out any of the flaws, bugs or requesting changes to unit movement speed and balance gets you banned from the discord.
The campaign is surprisingly fun though and the visuals and audio is fantastic. It's shit but it's fun every now and then to just watch the mechs blow up. They did a great job making the mechs the giant monsters they are and the way they attack and move has so much weight and that mechanical jankyness to them. But that's really it in terms of good.
>RTS for consoles
it was dead before launch.
when will devs ever learn that consoletards can't into RTS and making a multi plataform RTS will never work.
Aren't they adding some dynamic campaign mode? Might check it out if so, even though the gameplay is garbo.
I tried it out and it's not great. It's really easy to steamroll the who map.

They're working on an FPS.
what is it with poles and making an action sequel to their strategy game? First Phantom Doctrine, now this.
no, nothing confirmed that it's the same universe. also it's not a polish studio, it's german
Is it in the same universe? If so that could actually be really cool.

How is this game compared to CoH2?
It's basically coh with big robots. Fun but jank as hell.
I think they aped it too much instead of trying to adapt the rules around their biggest strength - big robots.
This resulted in CoH, but clunky and slower.
They should look at Universe at War as well.

That's Iron Harvest.
>Polecucks self inserting into WW1
nothing is good about this game or concept or anything related to it
1. If you don't know about 1920 Polish-Soviet War this game is inspired by, you are a brainlet.
2. This game was made by Germans.
>1920 Polish Soviet war
>Germans with pickelhaube and Americans are involved for some reason
It's just WW1 extended to 1920 to have Poland in it.
Poland was involved in WW1 moron.
involved in being German/Russian citizens, sure.
It didn't exist during WWI, and soon won't exist anymore either. Prepare your anus papist kurwacuck, it's gonna be a thousand khatyns.
Kys tundra Black person

the guy who started this world literally did it because no one talked about the 1920 war lmao.
I didn't get the point of it. Yeah there are robots, but they are still just armored units like any vehicle in CoH.
How is the mech to mech combat in this game? Tank combat is always high octane shit in CoH due to how fragile they are. Is it the same here or is it just a boring slugfest?
A slugfest. The mechs just keep whacking each other until their HP bar depletes and that's about it. Tank combat in CoH is million times more complex.
It literally isn't. CoH is almost as arcadey as IH
It's basically.
>Hit in back for extra damage.
>Make sure your mechs without cannons aren;t undefended.
Somebody on the chans claimed that all of the artwork is traced or stolen. Is that true?
Apparently there are a few similarities to how he positioned some peasents in a few of his works.

... and then he used a whole lot of shit that isn't public domain nor model shots, but hey, here you are

So what is the exact issue with this game? Everyone says it's shit but i don't see many reasons why outside of "it's like CoH".

This game wishes to be like CoH. Instead, it's barely functional wreck build on barely similar principles.
It would be great if they went for classic RTS or DoW1 style. But they chose the worst kind of RTS there is - CoH2...
