What is the best hero?
Generally speaking, the game flow is balanced around fewer, but stronger towers. You can get through round 80 on most maps with only 4-5 monkeys, as long as you choose the right ones. You'll learn as you go - the game is all about finding monkeys that are very efficient for their cost. Stuff like 401 Ninja, 420 Alchemist, 204 Sub, 042 Buccaneer, 032 Wizard, etc. Just play around with it and see what works - get a cheap tier 3/4 then go for a more expensive one. You rarely, if ever want to be spamming a tower. Usually reserved for income based strasa like banana farms or bottom path buccaneers.
Most games you want to go for one village, and just try to put as many monkeys under its radius as you can. 220 is a universally good village, there's also going for two 002 villages next to each other into 202 and 022, for discounts but that's useful if you are going for very expensive monkeys like super monkeys.
For farms, just get them where you can if you want. You don't need farms to beat anything other then bosses, to my knowledge most maps even the expert ones can be done with little to no farming. When you do go for farming, I'd recommend making 4 200 farms first, then branching into either 320, 230, or 203 farms. 203 is the easiest since it's auto collect.
There isn't really a best hero, but if you're looking for something to carry you for a while I'd recommend Sauda. Other solid "set and forget" heroes are Obyn and Benjamin

bloons went to shit the moment it focused on tower defense to then become exclusively tower defense
it's one of those games which had their own unique gameplay which made them famous since no other game in that genre exists(and those that do exist are literal bad clones), and then switched genre entirely to become the millionth game in that genre
I like the tower defense games, especially since tower defense is a pretty dead genre outside of bloons, but I do miss the actual bloons games.
The franchise never would've made it anywhere if they stuck to the original games' formula because it just wasn't that interesting.

pierce limit but not a time/round limit
it traps 500 camos, more than enough for 46 rounds
It runs out after it decamos 500 bloons, if you place it on round 1 it goes out on round 70, leaking like 9 white bloons or so.
If you want to reach round 81 with it, I had to use it on round 48.
I mention round 81 specifically because one of the tiles made me go there.

Hey moron, when theres smoke on a tile it means someone's already working on it.
Make sure to exit the tile after every checkpoint and check the map to see if a teammate is already working on it, this goes for both our teams.

If you complete a tile by beating the score it consumes a ticket. Tickets are not consumed by failing, quitting or beating the map but not the score. Ownership doesn't matter.
In general the only time you really ought to be capping a tile your team already has is when it's rate decayed and no longer producing score. Then recapping gives you and your team score.

Yes, even if it's not producing points anymore.
If the tile is still producing points then there's no point in capturing it again, unless it's a very important tile near enemy territory and its score is terrible.

I wish the achievements in this game were less grindy. I've only got 9 acheivements left, so I'm in the home stretch, but that doesn't make popping 500 golden bloons any less excruciating. Especially when fricking monkey teams is active right now.

At what point is it safe for me to buy banana farms and start saving up cash for the 40k+ upgrades?
I'm constantly running on a knife's edge because I keep thinking about those expensive as frick tier 4/5 upgrades and then just lose because I bought farms too early but I can't help wanting maximum return on investment.
What mode are you playing? Also, merchantman eco is far safer then farms since they're fighting units, and the fact that they exponentially scale once you have the t5 is amazing.
I'm new so I'm still playing on hard, but I just got to intermediate maps and its throwing me off very badly.
You can never farm enough
Bloonjitsu Ninja + Alch Buff pretty much solos early game for most maps except hard ones and will enable you to farm a shitton of money so you have enough to buy whatever you need to defend late game, if you’re just going to the round limit you can sell your farms too for more Defense towards the end, say past 85 on Impoppable

Monkey village is better overall though. If you have the land space for one, get that instead.

The requirement is 50k for each tower type, multiple tier 5s should easily do the trick, usually a MAD, Wizard lord, Homeland Defense and Bloon Crush are enough for all sacrifices, not on easy mode though funnily enough because of the reduced tower prices.

That works? When I tried the first day a 502 boomerang alone couldn't deal with 76/78 ceramics and a 050 shouldn't do much for that but I'm not sure now. Good luck.
I dunno what happened to you then, the 500 boomerang can pop 76 and the first wave of 78 fine, though he dies to the camo ceramic rush, which is why I was asking about camo flogged.
I'm worried about round 80+ though, last time I tried with a 502 boomerang and he struggled a lot.
I was right, round 78 was a breeze but I died in 82 to ceramics, we really need hard-baked to stand a chance.

I'm pretty sure the team ticket pool is shared, and you individually have a limit of 6 uses per day. So if there's, say, 9 team tickets, and I use 5, then you'd only be able to use 4 tickets, and I'd only be able to use 1 ticket
