So this came out in early access. Are any of you playing it?
For those not in the know Waven is the next in the mainline series of games from Ankama who made Dofus and Wakfu. This is more of a turnbased deck builder kinda game but there's only 9 to 15 cards per deck. A lot of how well your character does seems based on your choice of gear. it's not really an MMO like the other titles and its more one of those lobby kinds of games where you see people in the overworld but only see party members in a fight.

Ive been playing it for a few days. I am really enjoying some of the deckbuilding and upgrade choices. Ive always been a huge sucker for their games so im definitely biased but I'd say its a pretty good one so far even without spending a dime. Im generally not a fan of the batlepass type of games, id rather pay a higher amount straight up or a monthly sub for a more solid and robust game, I feel like the mtx way to go is hurting the core game more than it should so im not sure if ill be playing it for a long time. I get that some of the whales make up for the non paying players but it makes an altogether worse experience for everyone. Id say if you like both the art style and turn based games go for it, otherwise pass

Do you guys think ankama would license Wakfu/Dofus to third party companies, the same way GW license the Warhammer franchise to third parties ?
Shame NA is fricked so I'm playing on SA, but it's been a blast so far. Enjoying it a lot more than wakfu

It doesn't have all the races yet, just Cra, Iop, Sram, Xelor, Sac and Eni. Probably wracking their brains trying to figure out subclasses for each
the early access its in now only has a few classes like Anon said
When you create a character look under Advanced options to pick your subclass. Each of em has 5 to choose from.
I have 40 hours logged in it already, I'm fricking obsessed. I've made so many characters, but the one that tickled that autistic part of my brain was the health steal eniripsa class.

I dont think there are wabbits in the game actually. all the other usual customers are there like the pigs, tofus, bworks and the whisperers
not all the classes are in yet, its an early access release. I think Ecaflip is supposed to be the closest to completion? see Anon for what races are available atm
I kinda like that companions and gear is shared across all your characters.

Wait have they added it as a playable class? I played this game a few years ago in a very early alpha. Might give it a shot again because it looked like it had potential.
It's a shame they didn't use Wakfu's Xelor design, it's perfect in every way

The good guys lost, everything is fricked, the only remnants of emerged land are a bunch of islands offered by the gods with their very last strengths
So now every "traditional" class is divided in half a dozen subclasses which have their own specialized spells, passives and weapons, and each have their own visual design
The dicky osamoda is only one of the subclasses, the others also look like osamodas, but not like each others
