Yes, RDR2 is full of heavy handed pandering. Which is obviously annoying. But there was always an intersection between the outlaws/outcasts of society and minorities. A good majority of the old school outlaws weren’t even white. The image that we traditionally associate with cowboys became a thing because only white people were allowed to be the face of movies back then. Hollywood wasn’t showing Mexican and blacks in leading roles.
