>that don't understand what made the original good
homie it's a franchise for toddlers. Yoshi games were designed to be a Mario branch for toddlers. Remember Baby Looney Tunes or Mickey Mouse Club House? Those would be the Ganker equivalent. It's weird how you homosexuals can't comprehend the concept of taking an IP and turning it into toddler friendly content. Toddlers and infants deserve entertainment too. It's not a franchise for you. Yoshi is for toddlers and Mario is for kids.
>Yoshi games were designed to be a Mario branch for toddlers.
That wasn't true for the original Yoshi's Island. The series only became that with Yoshi's Story, which is what is so frustrating for people who enjoyed Yoshi's Island. It was such a great game with a unique concept that will never be done again because Nintendo decided to assassinate the Yoshi character and make him into a toddler character for babies
Bright and colorful artstyles are par for the course for Nintendo. Yoshi's Island is a more challenging and more complex platformer than SMW, so if you don't consider that to be a game for toddlers, then YI certainly isn't

The amount of delusion and cope holy shit. Truth is Yoshi games are easier than Kirby games and this includes Yoshi Island

Yes they all share an artistic identity beinf Yoshi games. You aren't smart or deep for pointing that out, but by all means continue being disingenious to the fact that there is a considerable difference in quality between YI and every other Yoshi game.
I don't get it. It seemed like the same game to me.
Yoshi's Story was dark, the Yoshis getting taken one by one as you die and the slowed down music titled "Happy Together" is something straight out of a creepypasta
This is really only true of the ambiance. Because gameplay wise regular Mario is more newbie (and thus toddler) friendly than Yoshi. It's a really odd contradiction where they're aiming these games toward babies but making them less simple than the main, all ages branch.
Woolly World is the closest they ever got to recapturing the level design of the original game.
Crafted World, while having some good levels, feels pretty bland overall and ends up slaughtering its own pacing by introducing a 3D egg-throwing mechanic, meaning that you have to stop and manually aim to throw eggs all the time, instead of being able to pull off cool mid-air egg throws like you could in previous games.
For the record, I think DS kinda sucks aside from the half-baked baby-switching mechanic which could have been cool in a better game. New Island is not as bad as everyone says it is, but it's definitely not great either. It's way too derivative of the original game.
Surprisingly haven't played Story or the tilt game yet, but I really want to do. I quite like Touch & Go as an arcade title, but I was also pretty disappointed that it wasn't a full Yoshi's Island when it released.
stop giving (You)s to the disingenuous frick that keeps pretending that 100%ing Yoshi's Island isn't remotely difficult, he probably hasn't even played the game
>horrible music that is just phooney >no fuzzies cause WE CANT WORK WITH ARGONAUT.
>implying that Argonaut would be needed to replicate the Fuzzy effect on a modern console
anon, are you moronic?
Theres never going to be a Yoshi game as good as Yoshi island.
Nobody cares homosexual
You cared enough to reply 🙂
>replying means you care
I will never understand this meme.
Mario if he smol
And still somehow better than new island. How are the wool games? Never got around to them
Woolly and Crafted World are mediocre Yoshi's Island/Yoshi's Story rehashes that don't understand what made the original good.

Imagine liking a game where they sing the butthole as a grown man.
they don't sing the butthole stop saying that
They do sing the butthole butthole and then they talk about fricking Birdo in the ass with a dragon dildo
>sing the butthole
>sing the butthole
Bro the first Yoshi Island uses fricking crayons as artstyle stop pretending the game you played as a kid in the 90s wasn't designed for toddlers.

Yoshi Story is kino and I'm tired of pretending it's not

The og yoshi islan? Frick no. That game is hard as nails compared to actual mario games. I do agree with you on later titles though.

If Yoshi's Island is for toddlers why in the frick is it harder than SMB3 and SMW? This game is a literal nightmare to 100%
>game is hard because, I SAID SO!

I remember this game having hellish extra stages compared to the original Yoshi‘s Island.
