not OP, but I don't actually like the open-field style of levels that much, I really do just want a start-to-end game, but in 3D
Mario 64 is a great game, but it's not a game I really ever find myself wanting to play that often for that reason.
Same shit with Sunshine (but worse, since it has other major flaws lol), I started playing more Mario again with Galaxy because stages were far more linear.

I personally prefer Crash 1 because it's more difficult. Besides that, Super Mario 3D land and world are very linear platformers that are pretty good. If you can put up with the jank, Sonic Adventure 1 is really fun with level design and how you can do insane skips and time attack the game. Sonic Generation is pretty good but it's not all 3D as there are some 2D bits with classic and modern sonic. You got the Alice games, Psychohomies 1 and 2, Pac Man World, Blinx the time sweeper, Sly, Rayman 2 and 3, Mirror's Edge
Ratchet 1 and 2 are platformers. 3 is when it became a shooter

it's in FPS but neon white I think is a good 3D platformer. the guns are cards that you pick up that have movement abilities attached to them and the point of the game is to get the fastest time
