What are some NES games that won't totally kick my arse? Other than the Mario 1 and 2?

What are some NES games that won't totally kick my arse? Other than the Mario 1 and 2? Tetris is fun and Dr Mario is ok. I'm decent enough at them but i still haven't got passed 10000 points on Tetris. I tried Mega Man 1 and 2 and they annihilated me within 2 minutes. Fricking laser beam shit. Any easy stuff i can ease into? I don't use save states either

Work your way backwards on Mega Man.
5 and 6 don't ask nearly as much of you as the older games.

    but you can try
    Chip'n'Dales

    Felix The Cat
    (Konami) Wai Wai World 2

The Little Mermaid isn't too hard. I found Bonks Adventure not to be too hard, but i could see you getting stone walled by some of the bosses. Also Fire and Ice is a fantastic puzzle game, mechanically it isn't very taxing but it has some pretty challenging puzzles towards the end. Gotta shout out one of my favorites, Color a Dinosaur.

I got Fire and Ice, saw the gameplay on a video and seemed like fun, gonna play it later tonight.

River City Ransom is very charming and (for me) too easy. Dragon Warrior (the first one) is very simple. Or if your problem is with real-time action challenges, and not with puzzles or tolerance of tedium, you could play harder JRPGs like Final Fantasy or the other Dragon Warriors. Maniac Mansion is good and poses very little action-based challenge. Excitebike lets you get right back on the bike when you fall off. Marble Madness isn't super easy but it's very short and arcadey so losing feels natural and won't set you back much.

I'm liking the look of Maniac Mansion. Reminds me of some old C64 games. I'll try that first

possibly because it was a C64 game originally? doit.

    Kirby's Adventure
    Donkey Kong
    Gun Nac
    Poke Tetris
    Tengen Tetris
    Jewelry
    Double Dragon II
    Mitsume Ga Tooru
    Adventure Island II

If you like NES, highly recommend picking up pic related and just browsing through the games list. They usually have a handful of solid titles worth playing and occasionally a few fun surprises

Almost forgot, since it's winter anyway, check out Ski or Die, Antarctic Adventure, and Slalom. All very fun wintery/Christmas games, my favorite is probably Ski or Die since it has the fun little ski lodge and different activities like Snowball Fight

castlevania (seriously this game is not as hard as people make it out to be) and any of the megaman games

The Flintstones and Jetsons games aren't especially hard unless you run through them like a spaz. Slow down and take your time. Same with Castlevania as this homie said

The final stage in the Jetsons is really fricking hard and not in a good way

OP said he already played Mega Man 1 and 2, though I guess to be fair the others are easier

NES had plenty of adventure games where you can just use a guide if you get stuck.
As for platformers: Wacky Races, Ufouria, and Kirby.

You're crazy. Castlevania is harder than any Mega Man. OP has no chance.

Kirby is good, i'm getting through it now. I'll try the others today

So far I'm liking Felix, Duck Tales, Ghostbusters 2 and Chip N Dales the best.

Mega Man is still filtering the shit out of me for some reason, even 5 and 6

The Little Mermaid and if that's too easy Little Nemo.

whoa whoa whoa, take it easy, better to step up just a little from Little Mermaid to Big Mermaid, and THEN move on to Little Nemo (and then, one day, Big Nemo)
